‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (4th March 2010)

I’m back, hope you didn’t miss me too much (I know that you were left in the more than capable hands of Ross last week anyway, so thanks for playing nice; he doesn’t seem too emotionally scarred by the experience) :)

This week I’m pleased to say we have Vandal Hearts Flames of Judgement available, and not only is this a great game for existing fans of the series, those of you not familiar with this great RPG should get great enjoyment from it too, so give it a whirl.

We also have the demo for Just Cause 2 available, and once you throw yourself off that first cliff you’ll have thirty minutes to exact as much mayhem as you can in the luscious tropical setting of Panau. Prepare yourself for some truly action-packed sandbox fun.

Throw into the mix a brand new batch of Special Offers, new content for Resident Evil 5, Operation Flashpoint, Dante’s Inferno, LittleBigPlanet (PSP), Echoshift and more, and that’s another week in the life of PlayStation Store.

I’ll be around as usual, so hit me up in the comments. Next week I’ll be out of the office mixing it up with high society (okay, that’s a lie, I’ll be working off site), but Ross will be back to look after you all…just don’t start liking him more than me, I get possessive of you lot.

Have a great week!

Welcome back Mike!

Thanks, good to be back…I do miss you lot ;)

ShogunDarius 04 March, 2010 @ 12:05

Vandal hearts, so overdue but you knew that from me anyway :P

Welcome back Mike. Not much there on the PSP for me personally this week, but that is fine because I am working through all the previous stuff!!

Hope to see FFI and FFII at some point though, nudge, nudge :)

Actually, when’s the Heavy Rain DLC going to be available?
I assumed it would be today, is that not the case?

Alcest-Wizard 04 March, 2010 @ 12:06

wellcome back mike ;)
do you know if Half-Minute Hero will be relased in Spain?

No plans as yet I’m afraid.

i think i know someone who’ll be happy about vandal hearts XD

Mike any news about the white knight chronicles dynamic theme and the flower soundtrack?

YES! Just Cause 2 demo!! That’s great for when i need a BFBC 2 break ;-)

Welcome back Mike! Nice Update….

Dutch_Rootsman 04 March, 2010 @ 12:07

What a crap update!!!

Good to see you again Mike ;)

VictorAnalogy 04 March, 2010 @ 12:08

Mike, is it safe to download Heavy Rain stuff or is the soundtrack still borked?

Once the store is updated (at about 3) then the codes will work fine.

Nice update wooo cannot wait to try Just Cause ;)

when is silent hill shattered memories going to be available for psp go owners?

Hi mike, nice update, looking forward to the Patchwork Heroes demo. Just wondering if Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions will be getting a PSN release anytime in the future? Thanks.

sephiroth180 04 March, 2010 @ 12:08

Welcome back Mike :) This weeks update looks to be ok, though nothing special, except of the RE5 DLC. Having a few questions though:

1) When’s Grandia coming to the store?

2) When’s the Heavy Rain DLC gonna be released publically?

3) Will you guys do any form of advertisement for next week’s FF13?

4) When will Half Minute Hero get released in Denmark?

Have a good one :)

In regards to Half Minute Hero, you’ll get an English language version in a couple of weeks on the store.

beardyweirdy 04 March, 2010 @ 12:08

any word on Silent Hill for PSP GO

Welcome Back Mike! :)

So, any news of Dissidia? Or Silent Hill Shattered Memories?

For those asking about Silent Hill: Shattered Memories I do not have visibility of a release date I’m afraid.

Mike Grid Prestige pack – Article on front of EG worth a look, might save a bit of bother.

“I get possessive of you lot.”
…and Williams Pinball :(

Have you finished the Fallout 3 DLC yet? – I’ve still got two to go.

I don’t know when the actual release date for Williams Pinball will be now. That’s twice we had it ready, and twice we had to cancel the release. Sorry all, gotta wait for the publisher to give us the all clear.

would it be lame if i asked about Dissidia..? (it’s been ages.. seriously)
thank you ;)

Is the Heavy Rain soundtrack live?

Bring back the other guy! He was great! Arf.

get back to work you ;)

welcome back mike

not the strongest update but ff13 next week is fine with me so im not fussed. though patchwork heroes demo? never heard of it will give it a try.

any news on some new ps1 classics? breath of fire 4?

Dutch_Rootsman 04 March, 2010 @ 12:09

It’s coming. I know the date, but I’m waiting on confirmation if I can reveal the date yet.

Vandal Hearts seems like a potential buy for me this week, but.. Any info on Grandia for PSOne? I think I speak for many people when I say it’s one of the best RPGs of the olden days.

Thanks in advance!

What time should the store be updating?

Welcome back Mike,

I have a quick question for you.

Any sign of us getting Grandia any time soon? I love that game and I just bought a new PSP memory stick for it.

Just cause 2 demo 30 mins, so the demo expires after 30 mins or can we keep on replaying it?

ShogunDarius 04 March, 2010 @ 12:11

i wonder who’ll that’ll be roxas :P, maybe mike might be a kind soul and give us 2 a free copy for the long wait and our patient despite it being available eslewhere this wholetime *hint hint at mike* :P

i know thats cheeky, but if you don’t ask ou don’t get

Hi Mike,

Is Vandal hearts only for PS3? Because there isn’t any new title for psp this week, it’s strange isn’t it.

This is a PS3 only version yes :)

TheShaikanSoul 04 March, 2010 @ 12:12

Wellcome Back Mikey Mike ^__^ how were your mini-vacations? Well i suppose. MikeFace gotta a question got a confirmation not dates i know you can give those without word from the mans upstairs i´m only asking for confirmations, are FFIX and The Legend Of Dragoon on the upcoming ps1 classics list? any reply will be more than welcome. And once again Wellcome Back at least i missed you ^__^

PSN-OmniusALX 04 March, 2010 @ 12:12

Hi Mike!

Welcome back! So any news on Metal Slug Anthology and Metal Slug XX coming to the store for PSP?

Also what about Afterburner Climax and Alien Breed Evolution for PS3?

My PS3 Hard disk is getting too fragmented, need a disk defragmentor.

Welcome back GodOfStore !!!!

ShogunDarius 04 March, 2010 @ 12:14

anyone kniw why the uk special edition of dante’s inferno did not get a code for the dlc out today but america did, i got the death edition btw.

Boo. We want Ross back!

I mean..Welcome back Mike. :P

I’ll be sure to check out the demo for Just Cause 2; game looks like a lot of fun.

Also, is it ok to use the Heavy Rain codes from the SE/CE’s now? I know it said about waiting until March 4th so..?

Not a great week for PSP owners.

mike with FF13 coming out next week can we expect any squenix goodies for psp next week?

Any chance of an early store update mike, really wanna try Just Cause 2 :P

The store will update at about 3 this afternoon (UK time)

TheShaikanSoul 04 March, 2010 @ 12:14

sorry for double posting. we really could use an edit option here. i meant ” i know you can´t give those without ” not ” you can ” but without the edit option only double posting can fix my silly mistake.

Q1: When will we be getting another ps1 classic?
Q2: What time will store be live as i want to try just cause 2 demo 1st thing i have downloaded for half a year :-/

Sorry for posting again, I bought the Heavy Rain special edition is the soundtrack available now, can i redeem the code properly?

Just Cause demo for me!

I’m still playing the Ultimate Burnout Pack, it’s so much fun, plus theres like a bajillion trophies to unlock as well!

Oh and welcome back Mike!

As others have asked…any ideas on when we can redeem our code for the Heavy Rain OST?

johnleonhart 04 March, 2010 @ 12:17

Cheers for the update Mike. RE5 DLC and Costume pack for me, and The Just Cause 2 demo, got that on preorder just now, so be good to have a look. Also will want the Race Driver Grid dlc in future :)

my question is… When is the White Knight Chronicles DLC Avatar change coming out for europe?

Cool demos this week Mike. Good stuff!

Do you know if the Heavy Rain soundtrack is going on general release on the Store as I love that?

Oh and welcome back Mike.

Mike, when will Aus/NZ be getting Blue Toad Murder Files after being promised to us in January? I thought we were going to get that plus 3rd episode free? No good having the 3rd episode without 1 and 2

All the Blue Toad Episodes are live on the AUS/NZ stores as of last Friday – enjoy :P

Come on you guys! No new avatars? At all? I want my Heavy Rain characters and my Origami-figure! ;-)

Also, and I’ve said this before:
How about an avatar-contest? Could be awesome.

sympozium_666 04 March, 2010 @ 12:20

Whats the causez of the lack of Playstation classics is the european community or audience targeted at COD/FPS?
These guys had never layed thier greasy fingers on a retro/classic game.
looks like Legacy of Kain is still lost in the dark forest of SCEE

I thought that digital distribution would reduce the regional differences, especially when having a console that only does downloadable games. Now it’s the opposite.

I’m really disappointed at PSN store. Give me Healf-Minute Hero NOW!

I think this is the first week since October we have no PSP games at all (full games that is – you can’t worm your way that way sir!)

So, any sign of these games?

DJ Max Fever
Strikers 1945 Plus
Gunbird 2 Remix

Welcome back by the way. Hope all is well on your end.
