‘Heads-Up’ Game Store Update 17th November 2010

'Heads-Up' Game Store Update 17th November 2010

It’s that time of the week again… how time flies. Yes, another Store ‘Heads-Up’date (™ pending) is here and I am here along with it to let you know what we have for you.

There’s a good selection of new games for both platforms this week, as well as a wealth of DLC for various titles (not least the PS3 Exclusive Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Copernicus missions).

I don’t have much to talk about this week – there have been a couple more PSone submissions that I’m sure you’ll all be very pleased with once they’re ready to go (don’t ask me which, you know I can’t tell you!)

I’ll be around for comments of course as usual, so enjoy your content and talk to you soon!

Nice line up for this week!

Nothing for me this week.

Another week without any demos :(

almighty-slayer 17 November, 2010 @ 13:33

PoP is a little expensive. Far cheaper to just buy the 3 on disc, as it will work out more expensive off the Store if they are all that price. Fail, Ubi.

just FirstPlay for me then

YAY! Crazy Taxi! :D

I love you Ross :) Thanks!

James Gallagher 17 November, 2010 @ 14:19

I second the first statement.

if only you could keep up update’s like this but i’ll doubt it
damn no resident evil well there goes my hopes neither any good ps1 games how bout we get some ATLUS game U.S is getting freaking discounts on all games.

Crazy Taxi !! A week before xbox live :D

Thanks Ross

can you at least say all the games arent jrpgs lol ps1 games i mean , WOW way to rip off playtv buyers nearly £7 for a update and you guys said the series link would be free yet its part of the pay for update SHAMEFUL SCEE

The PSone games in question are not all JRPGs – how’s that?

You’re late! :O
Anything on when we’ll get the Toki HD remake? Heard that the xboxers slowed the release down! :S

Still waiting for a promotion on MGS Peace Walker.

So am I!

Disgaea Infinite, nice.

Nice update. Don’t suppose you know if the PlayTV update also features series link & the premium TV guide? Thank you.

Yes, it does. That came straight from James Thorpe, so it’s legit info.

o ya and is europe getting that x-men arcade game cause it’s on the american ESRB but i can’t seem 2 find it on the pegi so i was wondering and you releasing rush and attack ex patriot soon.

also ross compared to u.s store you guys are lacking really really badly with unique dynamic themes get a grip and do your job properly and get us these please

Oldest_Ancient 17 November, 2010 @ 13:36

Didn’t realise that PoP was coming out on the store as well. Think I’m gonna pick it up on disk though.

Nice update will probably be downloading Crazy Taxi later.

Pretty disappointed about the PlayTV update, lets face it, when you’re watching TV you don’t want to be chatting to strangers.

Well, there’s some other features in the update too that you might like. It’s probably worth having a read about it.

Hey ross

couple of questions dood

Will the brotherhood DLC be up today or friday?

also any news regarding Bloody roar? :)

The Copernicus DLC will be up today, that’s 50% of what you were after. :)

Yes Peggle! Thankyou. I dont know the 3 PSOne games, I hope atleast one of them are good but I doubt it.

PlayTV Live Chat Upgrade (£6.29/€7.99) Rating: PEGI 3

**** off!

A bit late today Ross.. ;o)

Ok update… but do my eyes decive me or are there no DEMOS..?

And no PS+ content.. ?

PS+ Content is naught to do with me, sir. Maybe keep an eye on the blog though?

Very nice update been waiting for that Worms pack. Oh and i’ll download the ACBrotherhood DLC since i got the game today :D
Would have bought RF:Guerilla but i already have that on disc, great game that is…

Yeah, I really like Guerrilla actually, I think it’s the litle challenges that make it.

Bring down this whole builing in under one minute using a Sledgehammer.

That’s classic, that is.

I’ll be get POP… platinum trophy here i come!

why still no jap imports or should we asume we are getting them next year? or are you guys shafting monkeypaw again like he first time.

What did I do to deserve this my lord? 2 is not on the Australian store even though it got a price reduction in all regions a few weeks ago.

Will Swords and Soldiers ever come to Australia?

Actually yes – we had an update from SOE just this morning regarding the ratings issue we raised with them. You should see both Swords and Soldiers and Peggle on the AUS/NZ Stores fairly soon.

Again zero demos and downloadable games that are more expensive than the BD-versions. Lame.

And nothing new on the plus-section either…

anychance of a playtv post today so i can ask why we were blatently lied too as it said the series link was a free feature and the chat and stuff was paid for

Hi greyness123, I will be posting about the PlayTV ‘Live Chat Upgrade’ tomorrow evening. I don’t recall it ever being stated that series link would be free? I know we said it was one of the most asked for features in the UK and we were working on developing it but not that you would get it for free. The guys in Cambridge have spent a lot of time and effort on this upgrade patch and so we feel it’s great value for money, especially for the features like Chat TV, the internet based prmium programme guide from tvtv and all the other features.

Now I’ll just need that Scott Pilgrim DLC and I’ll be a happy camper.

Give it a leeeetle while longer and it shall be yours.

Well this update might not be that bad as it first seems.. Maybe I will take a look again later.. Yet again disappointed still no Resident evil. No discounts for us that are comparable to the US.. When will we finally be treated as equals we are all playstation fans!! :(

this is a PSN update http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/11/16/playstation-store-update-165 /#more-40210
this is okay but still feels abit of cant be reall be bothered this week update
http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2010/11/17/heads-up-game-store- update-17th-november-2010

Good update for BOTH PSP and PS3.

Nice update Ross, is there a PS+ deal with crazy taxi like with the USA store?

Oooh, I’d wait and see if I were you. :)

Yep Fail on the no demos part as well.. and what happened to the PS+ content..

All but two of the demos in the US update this week are already available here, and the SAW II demo will be released here when the publisher wants to release it.

And you haven’t had any new Plus updates YET.

Hey Ross, Any chance of getting Digimon world 3 on the store as a PS1 classic? Thanks :)

o ya and why still stupid avatars and still no new capcom ones damn u.s is getting them, o wait let me guess they have 2 be localized then they have 2 go through PEGI and than about 3 months later they appear.

Nice price on Cladun. That cements the purchase for me. Fans of Monsters (Probably) Stole My Princess should look at Who’s That Flying?!

Just a shame Australia and New Zealand can’t share the love – especially on Peggle!

Did you ask about Yggdra Union yet? ;)

I asked About Yggdra, yeah. Waiting to hear back.
As I said above, Peggle will be on its way to AUS/NZ along with the other SOE games that previously weren’t released there.

I’m afraid I can’t speak for NIS America but if they choose not to get their content rated for AUS/NZ then that is their decision.

Good update this week. Well done Ross.

If I wasn’t buying the POP HD Collection, I’d definitely be downloading me some Prince.

Play.com have sent my AC:B Codex Edition so will be downloading the mission from the store. And, although I’m not buying much, what’s on store today is actually a pretty great selection.

So, to be annoying: Where are my Tomb Raider games? The ones I own on disc but will gladly throw my money at you to download? :P

Come on I can’t talk about those. Tsk. But we got Tomb Raider, right? So…

Hi Ross!

Can you clear something up for us? There’s rumours of an 2 day delay on gt5 for europe, any truth to this?

Thanx in advance;)

You’d want to ask Penrose that but not that I know of.

@11 Just checked PLAY TV and now downloading the update

Silent Hill…

…Will never be re-released on the EU PSN because of the legal issue that meant we had to pull it down from the Store as soon as it went up.

As we have told everyone here many, many times before.

Wow…Crazy Taxi the people that are releasing that are a bunch of handsome devils aren’t they ;)

Yeah, everyone at SEGA is great, except that Mike guy.

Oh…. how embarrassing…

Nothing for me this week. Waiting for Dead Nation. I hope this won’t be delayed.

Play tv you robbing B*****ds. No demos as usual. Every week now Sony can’t wait to shove themes and avatars on the store trying to make it look like their giving a big update but even more annoying is they have the cheek to charge for em. Sony you get worse.

5 demos in the US update are already available here. The rest are coming.

Hi Ross,

What time will the store be updated, please :D

Should be about 3-4pm GMT as usual.

Oh nice, Disgaea Infinite, Cladun and Crazy Taxi… That’ll tide me over nicely to GT5 next week! :D

My Xbox only using brother who loves Crazy Taxi will be super jealous I’m sure hehe…

Have to agree about PlayTV update. £6.30 to add series link (I know there is other stuff but I do not want that) is way too much for such a basic feature. Feel we are being ripped off with this

* still waiting for 18+ avatars *

No Scott Pilgrim DLC? awww.

By the way you mentioned a “List” last week for ps1 games.

I don’t suppose Crash Bash, Tekken 3 or Croc: Legend of gobbos snuck onto that list?
I’ve heard alot of demand for those particular titles.

Oldest_Ancient 17 November, 2010 @ 13:46

Ross, any idea if the Sly Cooper games are going to be put on the store around the same time as the disk release, all the other Classics HD games seem to be going up or is it likely to be later on?

You’d need to ask that in Ross Alexander’s Sly post as he’s looking after that product.

So what does the play tv upgrade give us trophies?facebook?

I like how NIS has revised their prices for PSP games. Disgaea is very tempting at that price.
