Good job SCEE, its been almost a year but you got there in the flipping end.

Will NeoGeo games support trophies at all?

Great news for us PLUS members!

Well… That’s pretty awesome. Looking forward to the 22nd!

I’ll just be over here, foaming at the mouth in excitement until I get home from work.

sharpenedpixel 8 December, 2010 @ 12:18 pm   10

It really really really REALLY depends on how much each title is going to be. Everybody that cares about this either have bought multiple iterations of these games or are playing them online on the PC for free or both so it has to be a killer price point seeing as it’s just an emulator for the PS3 presumably with licensed GGPO code built in.

Is PSPgo supported?

cthulhu85 8 December, 2010 @ 12:21 pm   12

@KAP: Didn’t PS+ start in August? It’s not even been half a year and it’s already improving a lot and getting well worth the yearly fee.

It’s great to see PSN in general improving a lot. This is a very nice extra feature to what is already there 🙂

thank god we are getting the games i was worried sony europe would lack the skill 2 get these games kinda sad it’s ps3/psp sold separately i would rather pay a bit more and get the option 2 play em on both cause it takes up less space on my ps3.
but hell atleast we are getting these games and i do love neogeo with great classic gameplay that europe never had i’m looking forward 2 games like The Last blade and the metal slug series all off em
NAM-1975, Ninja Master’s, Shock Troopers both and one not so great but i had some fun playing it Stakes Winner hope you guys will release these also

sharpenedpixel 8 December, 2010 @ 12:24 pm   14

Also, how do we follow Neo Geo on facebook? I don’t see a page, there’s only an unofficial one that tracks people using the words Neo Geo together.

    James Gallagher 8 December, 2010 @ 12:54 pm

I’m getting that fixed now. I’m also having problems getting Adam from SNK PLAYMORE, the actual author of this post, set up (even the blog seems to have the flu at the moment). Once I manage to fix it, he’ll be on here to respond to your questions.

Very cool 🙂

Sorry, but discounted content is infinitely better. Should you decide in the future not to re-sub to PS+ then you won’t keep the freebies but you will keep the discounted content. 😉

o wait one thing all region or UK only again need 2 know don’t wanna end up getting shafted again.

Toothball 8 December, 2010 @ 12:30 pm   18

Wasn’t expecting to see these in Europe at all, given the apparent trouble with bring PSOne games to the Euro store.

Shou_Kobayashi 8 December, 2010 @ 12:33 pm   19

Garou: Mark of the Wolves … okay?

AaronSOLDIER 8 December, 2010 @ 12:34 pm   20

    Adam Laatz 8 December, 2010 @ 2:07 pm

Hey guys, big thank you goes out for the wonderful response our loyal legion of European SNK fans are showing to this project. I wholeheartedly believe many of you will be excited once you get your hands on these downloadable games.

To clarify a bit, while Trophies are not supported, many gamers will surely be pleased with all the bells & whistles included in these high-quality ports.

We are always keeping an eye on fans’ comments, and please be sure to stay tuned to a steady flow of info in the coming weeks on our newly launched NEOGEO Station Facebook fan page!

SNK PLAYMORE is also happy to see many of you enjoyed this “surprise announcement” of NEOGEO HEROES -Ultimate Shooting- for PSP today. We hope this game tides some of you over a bit until launch of NEOGEO Station content later this month on 22/12.

I’ll leave any urgent replies over to James for today, but look forward to responding to some comments regarding today’s announcement in the next couple of days…

randellaUK >> “Will NeoGeo games support trophies at all?”

I don’t think so, they would have said it if it was the case.

Oldest_Ancient 8 December, 2010 @ 12:35 pm   22

@17 They should be coming out in Europe, the website,, gives the price in Euros anyway.

Stoopid_Snot 8 December, 2010 @ 12:38 pm   23

Just give me Garou and last blade 2 and i will be happy

rax3456789 8 December, 2010 @ 12:39 pm   24

the first thing that comes in mind with neogeo

Awesome stuff, cant wait to play some of the best games of the 90’s with added features like save states & online play. Good job in getting some new games to Plus members too – this is what we need, and for you guys to draw in more Subs.

Opt1mus76 8 December, 2010 @ 12:44 pm   26

Wait a minute! Exclusively? Maybe my eyes have deceived me but Neo Geo titles are available on Wii’s Virtual Console including Samurai Showdown, Magician Lord, Metal Slug and over 20 more. Still good news though 🙂

Skookie30 8 December, 2010 @ 12:46 pm   27

Suzzopher 8 December, 2010 @ 12:48 pm   29

You know what would be awesome for PSP? NEOGEO Pocket Colour games.

3# lol almost a year?? it launched in June so it’s been out for 6months.

AMERICAN_-_SCUM 8 December, 2010 @ 12:49 pm   31

why is everyone getting so exited to play 20 year old games, i dont see the point

mcwildcard 8 December, 2010 @ 12:50 pm   32

I think I have drool on my chin…

26#Maybe they mean exklusive feuters?

RagingAvatar 8 December, 2010 @ 12:53 pm   34

How come the PSP ad-hoc doesn’t work on PSP 1000 models?

Because even games that are 30 years old beat the crap out of some of the games out nowadays. Its all about gameplay if you didn’t know..

Great news, exactly the sort of thing I want to see on PSN, will be buying a bunch of these over the coming months and hope loads more will be released next year.

Glad they are also bringing back lesser known games such as Magician Lord from ADK, an underrated studio who made several quality fighting games as well.

ROBERTWARNES 8 December, 2010 @ 12:56 pm   37

OMG!!!!!!! NeoGeo Heroes finally in English!!!!! I’m so happy, I want to cry!!!!!!!

Marrsterhausen 8 December, 2010 @ 12:56 pm   38

At last, PSN takes a step in the right direction!
We still are however missing some glaring omissions, for example: –

2) Castlevania: Symphony of The Night
3) Limbo
4) Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
5) Cross game chat
6) Japanese import titles
7) PS2 backwards compatabilty
8) A really good reason to purchase PSN+

Skookie30 8 December, 2010 @ 12:57 pm   39

Aww i can’t find neogeo heroes on the store You said today is this a other misleading lie the store is already updated early. 🙁

AMERICAN_-_SCUM 8 December, 2010 @ 1:02 pm   40

@35 you keep telling yourself that, i doubt anyone will play these for longer than 10 minutes, gameplay is important but these will bore u to death

obiadekanobi1980 8 December, 2010 @ 1:06 pm   41

wow more games that most of us have paid for already and now they wanna charge us again i mean come on if there more than a fiver i wont be bothering with them but the main question for me is will this be like buying a PSN game with an instal or will this be an application like say vidzone where u have to start the application then from there u chose ur game to play cos that would be cool would like an awnser please

Noisepurge 8 December, 2010 @ 1:27 pm   42

awesome! Bring on GAROU! ;D

Cool nice 1;) We need more retro games on PSN i think.

umm.. no they wont 8)

They didn’t bore us back then and they sure aint gunna bore us now, spesh with the added features.

Chocobo115 8 December, 2010 @ 2:56 pm   45

No trophies? Not that interested then, I’ll take the free stuff but leave paystuff alone.

i was wondering one thing why are we still paying more than the americans americans also pay 8.99 so basicly we are paying more for these games WHY? are we europeans getting ripped off by every publisher, shoulden’t it be 6.78 in euro.

Shame there’s no trophies – seen as EVERY game released on XBLA is required to have achievements.. Doesn’t matter as its not necassary but would of been nice.

You talk in the statement about cool discounts, but neglect to mention the actual prices 🙂 Please, how much are both versions of these titles going to set us back? 🙂

mcwildcard 8 December, 2010 @ 4:42 pm   49

The official site gives the prices, it’s:

8.99 Euros for the PS3 versions
6.99 Euros for the PSP versions

Question for the SNK guys: Will there be more classic KoF games released?

KoF 96, ’97 & ’98 were the absolute paramount of fighting games imo and I’d love to be able to play them on my PS3 without having to resort to the lacklustre PSOne [Ugh loading times!] versions I bought from the Japanese Store!

no trophies? plus your messing up the dollor to euro conversion rate yeah….. no buy.

sorry but it doesnt scream “high quality product” when the devs dont add a feature that has been in every ps3/psn game released in the last 2 years.
