New LittleBigPlanet 2 Packs In-bound – inFamous 2, Toy Story… Oh, And Final Fantasy VII

Exciting news for all you Sackfans out there – over the next two months we’ve got some pretty darn cool LittleBigPlanet 2 DLC packs heading your way. I’m sure you’ve noticed the title of this post, so let’s not delay any further – from the depths of Midgar, I’m delighted to unveil… the FINAL FANTASY VII costume pack!

Coming to PlayStation Store on July 13th, these costumes will let you re-live the struggle of Cloud, Aeris and the rest of AVALANCHE against Shinra, from of the most iconic and critically acclaimed video games of all time.

Exciting stuff – but that’s not all. I’m sure lots of you have been enjoying the continuing adventures of Cole McGrath in inFamous 2. Those adventures can now continue even further thanks to the inFamous 2 minipack. Released this week, and priced at €2.99 / £2.39, it contains costumes for Good Cole and Bad Cole, as well as a whole host of new stickers. Being a hero is optional in inFamous 2, so this will give you a chance to show your true colours!

On 20th July, the Killzone 3 mini-pack will be released – containing Rico and Hazmat Trooper costumes, and new stickers – I’ve raved about the coolness of the Hazmat Trooper costume in the past, so now you’ll be able to enjoy it for yourself . Like the inFamous 2 minipack, it’ll be priced at €2.99 / £2.39.

The next releases to mark on your calendars soon will be the Toy Story packs that were unveiled at E3 this year. With THREE new costume packs, containing all of your favourite characters, plus a level pack containing brand new Toy Story themed levels to play through, these packs are sure to keep you entertained until the release of the Move pack at the end of the summer. Stay tuned for more details (and pics!) soon.

That’s it for now, folks – enjoy the downloadable goodness!

Oh, just one more thing…

Bom-bom bom-bom… SEPHIROTH!

Don’t worry, he hasn’t been forgotten – the awesome Sephiroth costume will also be released on July 13th. I won’t tease you all anymore – here’s the full range of Final Fantasy VII content that is coming your way…

€1.99 / £1.59 each:
Sephiroth costume
Cloud costume
Aeris costume
Tifa costume

€5.99 / £4.79:
Final Fantasy Costume Pack (contains Sephiroth, Cloud, Aeris, Tifa and bonus Vincent costume)

OMG haven’t played LBP2 in such a long time, but I WILL be getting that FFVII costume set! Any FF themed level packs planned? Because, you know, I’d be all over them.

Awesome! Kinda hoped the Final Fantasy stuff would have been a level pack though :(

almighty-slayer 04 July, 2011 @ 17:11

Meh, wish they were proper level packs like Pirates of The Caribbean and Metal Gear Solid. I might actually buy them then.

Carnivius_Prime 04 July, 2011 @ 17:11

Well I’ve always hated FFVII but oddly I’m glad these finally appeared even if I don’t personally want them. I will however get the inFamous 2 costumes as I love that game.

AWESOME! Can u answer my question because james wont (no afence)

Thank you.

oh btw im buying lbp2 verry soon :)

All good and well, but when will we know the ps+ content from this month?

Where is the welcome Back program? I wanted to sign up for it after i have seen the email “Have you been welcomed back yet?” from the 1st and its gone.
It is not possible through the store? I was on vacation and had not much time to do before before. And because of the first Welcome Back email was sent on the 6th. June I thought it would be 30 days from this email. And now i must see that it isn’t. After reading stuff that its extended to the 5th July I now reseted my psn account and looked into the store but nothing.
Will it be also extended for the UK? otherwise i wouldn’t understand because 30 days means 30 days after 6th June which is 5th July exactly and nothing less!

:) ross just dont forget kenshi hes out tomorrow dlc for mortal kombat and also rain is comming this month but thats unknown release :P cant wait to do some damage with kenshi

LBP costumes are slightly overpriced methinks… if they were 49p or 75p I’d be all over them like a rash. £1.59 each is a bit much for something cosmetic that I’ll only use a few times.

They are lovely but they are TOO MUCH! People may say “oh but it’s £1.59, that won’t break the bank”… but if I am interested in 4 or 5 of them that cost mounts up…

DLC is WAY too pricey on the PS Store. C’mon Sony, give us some love and knock those prices down! SingStar songs are another one… way too much now at £1.25 each. Not to mention full games, that cost so much more to download than they do to buy in shops. It’s bonkers!

Sort yer prices out Sony!

MelficeSilesius 04 July, 2011 @ 17:26

Eh, kinda disappointed it’s so focussed on just Final Fantasy VII.
Would have loved to have seen more Final Fantasies, but then, what do you want?

Square Enix loves pushing Final Fantasy VII, don’t they?

I will be getting them day one pity there is no sticker pack for FFVII.

BerryGunner8 04 July, 2011 @ 17:31

Cant wait for toy story pack, any idea if the DLC will work on LBP 1 seeing as I dont have LBP2…. thanks

Awesome (and finally!)
Can’t wait :)

Toy Story costumes and levels FTW :)

I would so pre-order this if it was possible.

MelficeSilesius 04 July, 2011 @ 17:35

Any DLC for LBP2 won’t work on LBP1. Sorry!

Will probably buy the Toy Story stuff. Reason to pick up LBP2 again. Been out of my PS3 for too long now

There should be a level pack as well since this was announced years ago.

darkpyrano100 04 July, 2011 @ 17:42

But what about killzone 3 minipack

What about the Motorstorm pack here in the US?

xchris2008x 04 July, 2011 @ 18:02

ff7 :D

Wow! those costume packs look amazing, will buy all of them.

Are the Toy Story themed levels like the MGS pack with trophies etc or like the history pack with collectable prize bubbles?

Thanks ;)

I’m still bitter about the whole EU collector fiasco so i still didn’t get LBP2… Are the FF7 costume LBP1 compatible?

@Lucreto Actually this is the first official announcement ;) everething before was just rumour and myth

Why do SCEE, always expect us to be appreciative of content we should of gotten ages ago?!
You do it so often it ain’t even funny now guys.

I remember you dudes mentioned FFVII right here on the blog.
FFVII, best. game. ever.

darkpyrano100 04 July, 2011 @ 18:07

And hazmat costume

darkpyrano100 04 July, 2011 @ 18:09

But what about killzone 3 Hazmat costume minipack

xchris2008x 04 July, 2011 @ 18:21

Must get Cloud… :P

Hey, another fantastic addition to LBP’s already huge wardrobe. I really don’t know how u get the rights to use all of them lol! 2 questions, can u use these in both LBP and LBP2, and is there any chance we could be allowed to use our sackboy/girl as our PSN avatars?

JolipinatorJG 04 July, 2011 @ 18:25

Please don’t include “inFamous 2” in any headlines unless the post refers to it’s price being lowered.

Any chance we can have the same treatment as the US users? Extention of the PS+ offer.

I’ve yet to activate my PS+ 30day as I was not aware of the limit! Thanks for your help in advance.

Final Fantasy VII at last! Niiiiiice!

It was announced at the same time as the MGS pack back in 2008

i agree with Kap it funny i & other mention last week about no ff7 for LBP1, it was mention ages ago a level pack & costumes pack so here 2 questions.

1: will they be able to play on both LBP1 & 2? i think it can.

2: will they be a level pack fo FF7? why toy story got level pack & not FF7 that is a outcry.

3: will any more FF to hit LBP? remember question 2 we want levels pack.

thanks day 1 buy for me. :)

TheGrimHeaper 04 July, 2011 @ 18:48

SOOO excited! The Cole costume(s) are very pricy, but I’ll be buying the FFVII and Toy Story pack day one!

WHAT?no Barret,Yuffie,Cid,Chocobo,Moogle,Red XIII and Bahamuth?what a shame..

Shou_Kobayashi 04 July, 2011 @ 19:07

I guess I need LBG 2… somehow

Shou_Kobayashi 04 July, 2011 @ 19:09

Oh … and can we get those Avatars working.. ?

Nice, albeit expensive.

will the Toy Story Level kit come with extra trophies? not worth buying if not

these are coming to US too right? cus if not im beginning to think MM is racist torwards US, no one week lbp1 t-shirt, no motorstorm apocolypse pack, what next?

Toy Story costumes and levels FTW!!!

The Welcome back offer was extended in the USA until the 5th July due to ambiguity about the end of the offer.

Why has this not been done by SCEE? Seems odd to treat European Customers differently, when the problem was worldwide.

PLEASE tell me that the ff7 stuff can work with lbp1, please

TonyBest100 04 July, 2011 @ 20:00

Nice skins, shame I can’t get them as I dont have LBP2

sympozium_666 04 July, 2011 @ 20:22

I thought Kuja was cooler than SEPHIROTH.

AaronSOLDIER 04 July, 2011 @ 20:40

Finally FF7 costumes. Were supposed to be released for LBP1 but I guess they’ll be even more detailed and whatnot for LBP2, and looks like Sephiroth has his sword this time unlike the older version.

my friend told me she cant get her free plus on UK store so it looks like it ended now, i just look on SCEA store the still got WBP special offers till 5/7/11

so it look like inferior SCEE is 2 face we haven’t got our WBP special offers, so let see they had 4 free games like us.

gotten they home WBP lwe just had it a week

they gotten special offers WBP we have Not & Not even a reply. :|

Oh great i just notice my avatar not showing up now i just vist the SCEA store quickly to see if WBP is still on offer & it is, & this happens. :/
