'Heads-Up' Game Store Update 9 May 2012 3 'Heads-Up' Game Store Update 9 May 2012 1

Discover an eerie, intriguing realm in this unique interactive art experience where little is as ever as it seems and mystery and surprise await your every move.

Open the gates to a dreamlike forest, follow the paths between the trees, interact with your surroundings and attempt to answer three questions: why are you here? What are you supposed to do now? And is there a way out?

For the curious – for those willing to face the depths of their own conscience – the answers will be revealed by exploring the world of Datura.

PS Plus members will also have two weeks to purchase Datura at 20% off.

Other titles this week also include demos for Zack Zero and Spec Ops: The Line, as well as Arc Arena and Just Cause being our new PS2 and PSone Classics, respectively.

Andy has also been working on securing some new deals in a new sale with a somewhat retro theme to it. Did you never get round to purchasing Final Fight: Double Impact or *deep breath* Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix? How about some of the PixelJunk games such as PixelJunk Monsters or PixelJunk Eden? If you haven’t jumped to the bottom already then you may want to also know that PixelJunk Monsters, PixelJunk Eden, PixelJunk Shooter and PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap are cheap as chips (cheaper maybe) for PS Plus members at just €0.99! Check out the list of titles in the sale right at the bottom.

As usual, this week’s content is below.

Ask Capcom for Resident Evil: Dead Aim HD! Also Night Trap HD from Sega!

Damn – some great PSone and PS2 games, but still no Pinball Arcade or Doctor Who: Eternity Clock, the two games I have funded my PSN account to buy! Any news on the release date for either of these titles? Or, and any news on more PSP games being made compatible for Vita? In particular Motorstorm: Arctic Edge and Killzone: Liberation?

Not as generous as the US with the Uncharted 2 DLC then? That does surprise me!

flashfumoLIVE 09 May, 2012 @ 13:05

This is a pretty weak update. Guess I’ll get some Disgaea DLC.

rayquaza2982 09 May, 2012 @ 13:05

Hi there Jawad, do you have any news on when Doctor Who the Eternity Clock will be available. And also any news on Spyro as a psone classic? Thank you. :)

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:43

Nothing yet on Dr.Who or Spyro (I’m still pushing this one!)

Wow, Datura is very cheap!

the US blog made the Uncharted 2 Dlc’s free will it also become free to the EU???

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:44

I will find out.

When is the next walking dead episode out? love that game. Might pick up dakatara but holding out for sonic next week

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:46

Walking Dead is schedule for a monthly release.

Hey bro,

Could you ask Capcom if their planning to release avatars for Yun,Yang,Oni & Evil Ryu from Super Street Fighter 4:Arcade Edition & if we are ever going get those Street Fighter 8-Bit avatars that USA got.

Why is there no discount on Dragon Age II DLC?

Want to have them all, but dont want to spend so much money on it, it cost more, than I gave for the normal game.

where is the Vita games. DLC still the only update?? Not helping yourselves Sony if you can’t get new games out.

Good to see the Rock Band DLC return in force! I’ll be grabbing the RATM tracks when I get home.

Is there a trial version of Datura?

The line demo is pretty good.

I can only recommend Binary Domain. It’s is one of the best third person shooters I’ve played this gen (and I’ve played most of them, including Gears, Uncharted and so on) in terms of gameplay.
Be sure to pick it up when you have the extra cash.

Playstation, are we ever going to see` PS2 classics such as Silent Hill 4 The Room, Grand Theft Auto 3, Enter The Matrix, 24 The Game. Proper PS titles.

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:49

I can’t say for any of those games but yes, other games will be come. Will they be the more popular selection? If we can secure it, then sure.

Connor_mufc_1985 09 May, 2012 @ 13:09

@Danlisa couldn’t agree more m8 , CVG asked Sony if us europeans will get the free Uncharted 2 dlc but they haven’t replied yet.

sephiroth180 09 May, 2012 @ 13:09

£20 for Binary Domain, plus 15%… Now I’m considering to buy it. The demo was pretty good.

Hey jawad. Do you know when the 2nd walling dead episode is out? Got my season pass and played episode 1 to death. Decent update. Might pick up binary domain and daktara. Holding out for sonic next week though

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:49

It should be by June time (or end of this month). It’s been planned for a monthly release.

MaikelSteneker 09 May, 2012 @ 13:09

It’s a bit disappointing to see you making those Pixeljunk games much more expensive for non-Plus members. It seems a bit unfair to have European gamers pay so much more for the same games. At a dollar a piece, I would have certainly given these games a try. At 4 euros a piece, I don’t think I’ll try them out.

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 17:29

Unfortunately the pricing is something we have to make do with. It was a difficult decision and we only hoped to have done exactly the same sort of offer.

Also, all the Pixel Junk titles were priced at $1 for EVERYONE in the US. How does $1 convert to £3.19?

It goes from bad to worse around here.

What’s happening with the vita it seems like its a machine that gets a look in once a month after buying two on day one I feeling a little short changed where is the software???

Are we down for any releases this Friday supremacy MMA is down for release but seems digital games rather coming late or just don’t come at all?

Hoping there is some change coming because paying top retail pricing to release hardly anything will certainly tarnish hopes of people investing I’ve brought very vita game to date but like anything if there is a draught what do you do have to relocate.

Any chance of Dino Crisis 2 coming to the EU store?

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:50

Possibly. Capcom will look into it.

Binary Domain is a fair price for once!

I think you may want to check the file size for Just Cause, missing an extra digit surely? ;)

Where’s the PixelJunk Sale then?

I hope tomorrows Hitman announcement is for the HD Collection!

Connor_mufc_1985 09 May, 2012 @ 13:10

@Kap the line demo rocks .. I played it already

SamTheSkater 09 May, 2012 @ 13:10

Definitely getting Datura!

oh and also I think you forgot one l in Gul[l]foss :P

Hey Jawad is there any chance of you guys getting Dustforce onto PSN? It’s developed by Hitbox Team. It’s like a cross between N+ and SuperMeatBoy. Also includes an amazing soundtrack.

Hey Jawad

Any news on Syphon Filter 2 eventually making it to the PS Store?

For those asking about the Walking Dead episodes they will come out each month.

No love for Vita again apart from some DLC? For shame :-(

theshortbaker 09 May, 2012 @ 13:12

Where is the additional spec ops DLC for resident evil op Racoon city? Is this planned to be released, caught up in QA testing etc
I think I saw the is get it last week and all we got was the weapons pack :-(

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 14:59

There’s some extra DLC incoming!

Oh, the joy of Rock Band DLC returning!! Im getting it all, just to celebrate ;)

@ Danlisa

Not all Pixeljunk titles are $1. PixelJunk Shooter 2, Sidescroller & Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe are 50% $4.99

Hi Jawad is there any news on access coming to ps vita, noticed america is getting PULSE on vita

You know what I’m going to say already, don’t you?

Burnout Legends and Pixeljunk Monsters compatibility for Vita!!! Pleeeeeease.

Otherwise, a good update and I’ll be grabbing a few of those games with the PSN+ discount today.

ChemicalBacon90 09 May, 2012 @ 13:14

Seems a bit unfair that you’ve decided to make the PixelJunk games part of the PS+ package, when in the US, all users can get the majority of those games for $1 a piece – not just PS+.

My bad, didn’t read the entire post with regards to Pixeljunk sale (Slaps forehead) *DOH*!

Hi Jawad

When RE4 HD was announced in Europe,Sony promised free avatars for those of us who bought the game. Some weeks ago those avatars finally appeared in the store and aren´t free for those of us that bought RE4 HD.Are we ever going to get them for free or even we who bought the game, have to pay for them?

Also do you think it’s possible to get the Deus Ex: Human Revolution dynamic theme that SCEA has? Enjoyed the game a lot so would really like to have that theme avaiable for purchase.

Hi Jawad,

Shouldn’t ‘The Walking Dead (Trail)’ also be listed at not Available in Australia?

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 15:06

It’s listed at the bottom.

Good afternoon Jawad…

If i purchase Pixel Junk Monsters during this sale.. will this be the version i can move onto my Vita on May 15?

good update

Five and a half years and Sony still hasn’t figured out how to have the same offerings across all western regions? How long is it gonna take you to figure out how to do it? It’s the same picture every single week and most of the complaints would be gone if you just started doing a better job at getting content over. It’s not the Publishers, Microsoft has to work with the same pubs and they’re doing a perfect job at getting *all* content to *all* western regions at the same time (you don’t have to have the paid service for that, it’s free).

It’s getting hard to support you guys on the digital front. It might be a complicated process but the problem has been known for more than five years and there have been absolutely no improvements at all.

No Parappa No Ape Escape No Legend of Dragoon….

Fine, I’ll continue waiting long after NA gamers are enjoying such titles.

Sadly, this is the Pixeljunk sale. Have to go over to the US store.

Seems like a decent enough update. Sadly, nothing for me in there.

Any news on the European release date for Pinball Arcade?

I’m going to eat a whole box of Sugar Puffs and then play Datura.

Hi Jawad,

How long will the sale on the Pixeljunk games last?

Jawad Ashraf 09 May, 2012 @ 15:53
