A new AR Game is also set for release this week – Table Top Tanks. Using your AR Play Cards you can draw the battle lines on any flat surface and create a theatre of war for your pocket-size tanks. Complete a series of missions and perfect your battlefield tactics, call in airstrikes against your enemies and take on up to three friends in Ad Hoc Mode multiplayer skirmishes. You can even use the “Solo Creator” mode to design your own levels and bring real-world objects into the game as obstacles.

In other news, check out the Uncharted 2 maps, as these are now free until 27th June when you’ll be able to get the first two games digitally!

I’d also like to apologise to our Plus users who may have noticed Datura was only made available for just one week. The team have reactivated this for another a week at 20% off as originally planned. Enjoy!

Please please please Jill Valentine avatars are long-awaited for in England! Also please ask for Resident Evil Outbreak HD, Resident Evil Dead Aim HD and Net Yaroze!

aaronrogers2009 23 May, 2012 @ 13:03

sadly yet no spyro or any popular ps2 games on the store, shame!!!!

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:37

Spyro could be coming soon…but with all things, this shouldn’t be taken as a be all, end all.

Hey guys, any idea if the Dracula X Chronicles for PSP will ever hit the store here in the UK?

The US store has it, and as a big Castlevania fan I would love to be able to play one on my VIta at some point.

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:38

Not on the cards but I will let some people know.

EternalChaos72 23 May, 2012 @ 13:05

where the hell r the capcom avatars we waited for 2 years!!

It’s AWESOME to see 3 of the Wonder Boy/Monster World games on PSN, just a shame that Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap isn’t included. I hope Dragon’s Trap find it’s way here eventually.

Also, seeing you started with PS2 games a while ago, any chance we will see PS2 imports of games that never had a european release before? I would absolutely LOVE to see Suikoden III on EU PSN as we never had a chance to play it before. And it would be nice to see Suikoden 1, 2, 4 & 5 on EU PSN too!

Hell-Raiser-85 23 May, 2012 @ 13:07

Whens Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale out?

Pretty good update :)

moriarty1975 23 May, 2012 @ 13:08

Will Europe be getting the ModNation Racers DLC sale that the U.S got yesterday?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:40

Andy will take a look into it.

San Andreas please!!

KaiserSoza13 23 May, 2012 @ 13:08

where the hell is TOMBI!

Thanks for the additional week of Datura discount, I missed out on that the first week it launched. Any chance of seeing Plus discounts on soundtracks (inFAMOUS2, flOw and Journey, anyone?)

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:41

We’re considering it, yes.

colmshan1990 23 May, 2012 @ 13:09

Table Top Tanks and Super Hang On for me.
Don’t think I should be spending any more money than that on games until after I come back from the Euros, although Sorcery is calling to me!

Dutch_Rootsman 23 May, 2012 @ 13:09

Are the SEGA games compatible with the Vita?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:57

Not as far as I am aware of, no.

hollandnigel 23 May, 2012 @ 13:09

So is that Free maps for the PS3 Uncharted 2?

I can’t see it in the list…

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:42

Yes, Uncharted 2.

bidbaldwolf86 23 May, 2012 @ 13:10

Just wondering if the Yu gi oh psp games will ever be available on the PSN and be available on the VIta?

Keep up the good work :)

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 14:58

Konami haven’t mentioned on that front, sorry.

Carnivius_Prime 23 May, 2012 @ 13:10

Surprised the ‘new’ Mega Drive games are up the same time here as they are on the US store. I even spent the last five dollars in my US account on Monster World IV not expecting it to be here so soon. Oh well, needed to spend that anyways.

Very happy to see Doctor Who out. I would love a TARDIS avatar though. Looking forward to playing the game when the store updates later. I need some cheering up with my recent PS3 technical issues.

Is there a demo planned for the doctor who game jawad? Can’t risk the purchase anymore lol

Oh and how does the preorder of sorcery work? Does it download now then unlock at midnight Friday or star downloading on Friday?

No plus goodies today? Where is ross cause the US keep getting stuff every week :/ afaik

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:04

Some titles do end up with demos later but at the moment there aren’t plans for the good Doctor.

It will download on or around the day of release so long as you have set up your system to wake up automatically.

He is sorting content regularly so when he lets me know of anything I will add them to weekly update.

cognac-vsop 23 May, 2012 @ 13:11

what are the chances of seeing the Transformers Armada ps2 game published by Atari being released?? any chance at all?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:10

Not sure. This is more to do with Atari and Hasbro.

When will we have the Journey demo that’s available in the US today ?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:11

We haven’t got a date for an EU release yet.

heathengray 23 May, 2012 @ 13:11

>2 ultimate weapons

Ultimate? Really? The last ever, or so good you will need no other? How can there be two? Do they fight over which is the most ultimate?

Thank you marketeers for rendering another word in the English language meaningless.

Unrelated, but that’s a pretty good price for Order Up! It was one of my favorite games on Wii, I liked it so much, I got it for PS3 a few years later!

GenocideHeart 23 May, 2012 @ 13:12

Hi Jawad,

Any chances of us seeing the Sega Ages version of Dragon Force, since Sega is now releasing that series’ games online?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:16

Sega is your best bet to ask on this matter. Remember, they will make announcements on their products before we will be able to.

KaiserSoza13 23 May, 2012 @ 13:13

Where do you guys get the idea to charge €60 for a game that will cost €45 in store?

Yeah hurrah for the sega classics but 2 OMG that steep price for Dr-who i thought it be a tenner i think i wait.

& only 1 ps2 classic you are spoiling us SCEE, SCEA has a ps1 classic & 2 ps2 classics what the excues this time for no partially with SCEA hmm. :|

@Jawad whats the file sie for Conflict: Desert Storm II.

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:17

Just over 2GB. Will update the post soon.

Dear SCEE and Sega,

The Mega Drive games are frustratingly overpriced.

The Customers

I was really looking forward to the old Wonderboy stuff (I’m old school, what can I say)…. and then saw the pricing’s.

I know – it is trite to whine about 40 of my pennies. Then I checked out every other price.

Once again pricing is stacked in the favour of our American counterparts. On a digital download…. where it makes not one jot of difference.

Sorcery, Doctor Who, All retro releases, all overpriced.

It’s such a shame that this is mentioned every single week without fail now and there is nil to bumpkuss response from anyone.

So – can we expect a response today that isn’t the usual “we thought long and hard/it was a shame we couldn’t match/we don’t care”?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:19

We do not comment on pricing.

On a personal note though, £3.69? It’s lunch money!

Great Update!

Will have to give Sorcery a try on Demo :) and is Alex kidd the origional Master System game?

PS1 Games Please – Casper, Digimon, Spyro, GTA 1,2 & London.

Hi, the pricing for Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road game pack (in the Apocalyptic Sale is still wrong, it still says £7.99, when do you intend on correcting it, as the sale ends in a weeks time?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:41

Andy is looking into this.

cheers for Wonder Boy games

seriously can you get some some rpgs in the ps2 section – the US got Persona 3 FES – why can’t we? also some other oddments like Steambot Chronicles, Mr. Moskeeto or US imports of ps2 games like the Harvest Moon that was only released in Japan and the US

the same could be said for psp games – there are rpgs that were released in US but not here

When will we get The Walking Dead Episode 2???????

Chapel-Bill 23 May, 2012 @ 13:19

Pinball Arcade out in Europe yet? NOPE.
Why the freaking delay???

ShadowGandalf 23 May, 2012 @ 13:19

Sorcery Demo, Doctor Who, Revenge of Shinobi, possibly Super Hang on…. quite a few bits for me this week.

I’ll likely get Sorcery so look forward to trying it.

I can’t find Tanks on the PS Vita store!

Hi Mr Ashraf,

Not to rain on whatever goodness there might be in this update (I’ve only skimmed it), but please could you tell us where the Flow soundtrack is? Last I heard you were ‘discussing’ it. What does that even mean?

If I don’t get a response today, I’m going to have to buy it off iTunes, which I’d really rather not do. This doesn’t reflect well on the EU store.

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:25

We’re looking to get that released some time in the future.

DiekStiekem 23 May, 2012 @ 13:21

I’m still baffled by the fact that Capcom avatars take so long to hit the EU stores (Resident Evil 5, Marvel vs Capcom 3, Asura’s Wrath, etc.)

I can understand a delay of a week or 2 but we’re talking MONTHS here (in MvC3 & RE5 a year..).
I know there is a submission incoming, is this slowdown on Capcom’s side? Or are they floating in Sony approval limbo?
I (and many other) would like to know what’s going on exactly.

The almost year wait for those Darkstalkers avatars was already frustrating enough.

Nothing personally against you Jawad, I know you just manage the update blogs, but a lot of us just want an explanation for this expectional long wait.. can you dig up something?

Thanks in advance.

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:39

From what I have been told there are a ton of avatars to get through and this won’t be a quick job. So they are coming, just not as quick as you would like.

Any idea when Zen Pinball 2 will be released?

According to the developers very soon…

We urgently need more VITA on the Store! The current offering is abysmal!

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:40

I can’t speak for Zen Pinball itself (have no received an update) but there will be more content for Vita oh so soon.

ShadowGandalf 23 May, 2012 @ 13:21

Although I agree that the Mega Drive games ARE too expensive. I’ll wait for a price drop on those.

hey jawad any news on tekken 4 coming to eu psn

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:42

No news, sorry.

Nice price for Doctor Who and an even better file size! I was dreading a six gig install for some reason. I’ll wait till Friday, and if for whatever reason the Disc version is sold by GAME for £254 (a ‘bargain’) then I’ll download it.

Jawad – have you any idea if either the download or the physical copy (with a voucher) will entitle you to the Vita version either for free or at a discount to ‘incentivise’ you to get two copies of the same game? Love my Doctor Who but don’t want to pay twice for the same game!

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 15:43

I haven’t been informed on any dual purchase incentives and the publisher has not made any announcements for such a thing either.

ALso, I can not find the bundles for the Fallout DLC in the Plus section?

Where are they?

lardteamaker 23 May, 2012 @ 13:23

Good things Doctor Who and Super Hang on.

Bad things, no Daggerdale, Pinball Arcade or news on Zen Pinball 2. :(

Revenge of Shinobi, Super Hang-On &the Wonder Boy/Monster World games? Here, TAKE MY MONEY!

or anyone in sony really want tekken 4 on it

Dave-The-Rave 23 May, 2012 @ 13:24

Best update in a while, I’ll be getting Doctor Who and the Sorcery demo.

Synaesthesia1993 23 May, 2012 @ 13:25

Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Such a classic game. Will definitely be purchasing!
However, do you have any idea when there will be Hyperdimension Neptunia avatars on the PSN store? Seems the US and JPN have them already…

great update… lots of stuff…

Hello Jawad!

1. Flow Soundtrack
What’s going on? Why hasn’t it been published yet? Is the translation of this item’s description too difficult or something?

2. Previews
Sometimes there is content that doesn’t have any kind of preview when it definitely requires it. For example, 92 (!) PS1 games, including the recently released Twisted Metal, and 3 NeoGeo games lack a preview. They don’t have even a single screenshots to them. What’s up with that? Unless it’s an avatar or a soundtrack or something free (demos, trailers), it always needs to have a preview.

3. Warhawk for PS1
When will it be available to us non-plusers?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 16:33

It’s still being processed.

The previews always get worked on and looked back on. If there isn’t one then there’s usually a reason why but it’s not something we’d disclose usually.

Warhawk is only available to those who purchase Starhawk and redeem their network pass.

SEGA games prices are too high really. And not even the posiibility to buy them in a bundle..

Are we getting the bundles XBL is getting (Streets of Rage, Golden Axe,…) or the seperate (unreleased) games?

lardteamaker 23 May, 2012 @ 13:27

@37 gamestation is saying £19.99 on their website for it.

EternalChaos72 23 May, 2012 @ 13:27

@33 i completely agree, we need an explanation i have given up hope 4 mvc3 avatars this is beyond ridiculous!

danielm1979 23 May, 2012 @ 13:27

The full Rime of the Ancient Mariner?!
Bye, bye my dear fingers. Bye Bye!

the1free_man 23 May, 2012 @ 13:27

I have every intention of getting Doctor Who, because, well, it’s Doctor Who!
But I’ll still wait for some reviews.

MrSmadSmartAlex 23 May, 2012 @ 13:28

Was about to ask about the classic Sega games getting a EU PSN release, but they’re already here! Nice. :)

Any news on Legend of Dragoon yet?

Also, is Primal (PS2) coming over here a possibility? I think they just got it (or are soon getting it) on the US PSN.

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 16:58

I will be discussing Legend of Dragoon internally soon…

USA got Rock of Ages for free and we don’t? are u kidding me?

danielm1979 23 May, 2012 @ 13:30

@38 Just go to the regular price-down section.

The logical interface of the PSN store is really an atrocity.

PSN = £39.99

PC version on Steam = £26.99

Syphon Filter 2 must be buggy as hell.

That could be the only reason why it hasn’t been released here in Europe, considering its a 1st party game.

Am I right?

we need Capcom avatars, please we can’t wait long enough.

Why can’t those Sega games run on the Vita? How hard would that be?

WOW!! Alex Kidd…that takes me back to my childhood…ill be purchasing that one

Sp4rkyM4rk1337 23 May, 2012 @ 13:35

Definitely picking up The Revenge of Shinobi – one of my favourite games for the SEGA Mega Drive!

Any news on SMT: Digital Devil Saga? Any idea when they’ll be put on the store?

Jawad Ashraf 23 May, 2012 @ 17:01

Awaiting more info this. It’s still due but trying to find out when.

SpideyWolvie 23 May, 2012 @ 13:36

What will the price of Burning Skies be on the PSN Store?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:01

Check back next for prices.

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:02

Oh, any chance of Doctor Who avatars?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:03

At the moment, no but hopefully that will change.

chrisredfield_97 23 May, 2012 @ 13:41

hey jaward i don’t have anything with you i just want to answer this question many of us here are waiting for too long the capcom avatars i need when are you going to release RE5 and asura’s wrath and marvel vs capcom 3 avatars please tell me many of us are waiting for them too long please it’s really important do something thank you and i hope you answer to my question

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:04

Capcom need to submit them. They have a lot that need submitting…

At last, can’t wait for the TARDIS to materialise on to my PS3. This is gonna be great.
You know if there will be any Doctor Who avatars too?
And can’t wait to try out Tabletop Tanks :D

chrisredfield_97 23 May, 2012 @ 13:47

Everyone should take a look at those Sega classic games. The emulation is perfect and you get a lot of settings to tweak. They are well worth the money.

Also, as every week: Any news on The Pinball Arcade? The wait is getting very long now.

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:05

Still waiting on an update. With E3 so soon getting feedback is quite tricky.

Sony you need to set up a price structure the store and stop these 3rd party companies from charging above R.R.P. on the digital store, not one physical store in the UK or Ireland will be selling Ghost Recon Future Soldier for £49.99 or €69.99 I can guarantee you.

kingcrowbaruk 23 May, 2012 @ 13:50

Can we expect a Modnation DLC sale soon like the US already have?

Maybe remove the “Visit PlayStation.Blog.US” link at the top of the blog so people don’t get so expectant and then disappointed when yet again the US get more content.

Is there a possibility we will see Dark cloud for ps2 entering the PSN?

iriihutoR48 23 May, 2012 @ 13:55

Monster World IV. Oh how long I have waited and now you’re finally here! Can’t wait!

Amy_Belgium 23 May, 2012 @ 13:57

Welcome to another crap wednesday update. geez Jawad does it really take ages to submit some avatars that are 100kb in size does it really take all this time were are the capcom avatars ? studio avatars are a joke just give people what they want not studio avatars at least give us something decent every wednesday i check the store update and i see the avatars section its really upsetting :`(

AL3MERH_2011 23 May, 2012 @ 14:01

lego harry potter years 5-7(PS3)

AaronSOLDIER 23 May, 2012 @ 14:02

Thanks for saving me money this week.

I keep wanting to buy more games digitally, But when there sold at £50 i really can’t make the commitment, could you start pricing these digital games cheaper please, last time i checked infamous 2 was still £50!

I want more PSOne games!! I want more PSOne Import games from Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami!! I want more PSOne games!! I want more PSOne Import games from Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami!! I want more PSOne games!! I want more PSOne Import games from Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami!! I want more PSOne games!! I want more PSOne Import games from Square-Enix, Capcom and Konami!!

Sorcery demo for me :)

twistedintoform 23 May, 2012 @ 14:05

>> I know – it is trite to whine about 40 of my pennies. Then I
>> checked out every other price.
>> Once again pricing is stacked in the favour of our American
>> counterparts. On a digital download…. where it makes not one
>> jot of difference.

the US price is $4.99, but if you added on 20% like you have to do for the UK, that would be $5.99, which is ~£3.80. so the game is actually marginally cheaper in the UK before taxes are added.

just because it’s a digital download, doesn’t mean there aren’t still differences. there are different costs to running data centres in each territory, and a load of other factors which can account for why prices aren’t universally identical.

Amy_Belgium 23 May, 2012 @ 14:07

why every wednesday has to be like this. all we ask is for a 100kb picture. i wish we had a costum avatar application and btw now that EURO 2012 is approaching we should have some avatars with flags of the 16 participating countries at least

Pandadosmares 23 May, 2012 @ 14:12

Any news on the release of choplifter hd in portugal?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:06

No news, sorry. If the availability changes I will list it in the content list but for now it remains the same.

How about a bundle discount on those classic retro games (Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Shinobi) £3.50 is a lot for each of them, can we please get some sort of bundle discount?

AlennTax_Eu 23 May, 2012 @ 14:14

@15: Don’t hold your breath too long for the Psp Yugioh ! game to be ported on the store, since they won’t, because they use the UMD reader for some of their freatures. (UMD recognition/Egyptian Gods unlock via older games.)

Anyway, I can’t wait to try the Doctor Who game !

@Jawad, now: Any idea when PSOne classics will be available to play on the Vita ? Also, Tombi! ETA ?

Short whislist for PSOne/Two classics:

Breath of Fire 4
Suikoden 1/2

Dragon Quest 8
Star Ocean 3
Valkyrie Profile 2
Wild Arms 3

Hey Jawad,

I was just wondering something. When resident evil 4 was released on ps3 we were told that we would be getting free RE4 avatars, however, I bought the game almost as soon as it came out but never got any avatars. They weren’t even available on the store. Now that they are available, will we be getting them for free as promised? Original blog post is here –>

Also, I was just wondering why I Am Alive isn’t in the apocalypse sale? It looks like it is set in a post-apocalypse world and looks really good. I really want it but cant afford the full price :( any chance it will be added?

I know you are probably really busy but I’d really appreciate if you could reply :) Thanks in advance :)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:07

This was before my time so sorting it out is a bit tricky. I’ll try and discuss this internally and see where I can get with it.

Cyberendpunk 23 May, 2012 @ 14:18

Free UC2 DLC & SEGA rare classics this week, Harley’s Revenge DLC next week, Virtua Fighter 5 FS the week after that and factor in some games/dlc I haven’t accounted for. Yeah it’s about time I get my hands on another £50 PSN card :D So many awesome releases!!!!

Iam eagerly awaiting virtua fighter 5 final showdown in 2 weeks time and GODDAMN CAPCOM AVATARS!!! Lol I think ill purchase monster world iv this week :)

bregalad920 23 May, 2012 @ 14:19

When is dungeons & dragons: daggerdale coming out in Europe? It’s out today in America

twistedintoform 23 May, 2012 @ 14:24

>> Sony you need to set up a price structure the store and stop these
>> 3rd party companies from charging above R.R.P.

£50/€70 is the R.R.P.

the UK and ireland are luckier than some of the continental countries (at least in my experience), in that games are generally sold well below the RRP by retail stores. i don’t know whether this is due to greater competition between retailers, or a much wider online retail choice, but unless outlets here are at or below £40 they will struggle to sell. and supermarkets often sell games as a loss leader to get customers into store. you can bet no publisher is going to sell a game at a loss digitally.

even if a digital copy was £5 cheaper, i’d still buy it on disc (or memory card in vita’s case), personally.

have a woo for dr who. Too much to ask for a demo? When is breath of fire 4 coming to the uk? Its been on the usa store for over a year. Would also like to see shadow hearts (ps2). Cheers

when is the netflix app coming to the uk for ps vita?

Seems Norway isn´t getting Doctor Who for some reason, any chance it will come later? or a boxed release for Vita maybe?

nitefighter 23 May, 2012 @ 14:30

has anyone got any news on when wanted corp. will be released in the uk???????????????????????????

Hi Jawad,

I asked last week about Red Faction II being released for PS2 classics, any news? I’d love to see that and Max Payne 2 as well, thanks.

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:12

No news on any of these (or PS2 games in general).

Huono_peleis 23 May, 2012 @ 14:41

No Doctor Who demo – no purchase. Speacially because I couldn’t find a single review. This is never a good sign.

Always wait for the reviews people! Remember “Amy”?

…and The Ratched and Clank Trilogy got delayed again. New ETA is now 27th June. :(

Wraith_Bringer 23 May, 2012 @ 14:42

Hi Jawad!

You replied to my post last week about the pricing of NHL 12 on PS3 digital download.

Can I ask, has there been any progress here? I’d like to have a copy before my birthday on the 27th of June but if the price doesn’t come down, I’ll pick one up from GAME. Though I really would prefer a digital copy.

Warm regards,

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:11

It’s been dropped from what Andy has informed me. I don’t think it’s a substantial drop, however.

CoolRichy008UK 23 May, 2012 @ 14:43

dr who wont be in norway hahaa its a UK game only

Hey Jawad, nice name!

@ CoolRichy008UK

Actually, Dr Who is on the US store too!

Don’t know why you thought it was UK only????

Any news about Phantasy Star Portable 2 will be returned to PSN?

Nothing for me today really. I might get some sega classic games but don’t know yet.

TheSuperTom 23 May, 2012 @ 14:56

What the flip!? Alex Kidd? Wow! Amazing. Loved that game on the master system.
Also, thanks for extending the promotion on Datura. Bought a move controller especially for it but by the time it arrived the promotion was over. Glad I held off buying it anyway. Keep up the good work!

Always good to hear logical counter discussion on these things. I admit I had forgotten about the extra 20% for UK.

However I think when you are a global distributer – and have been for as long as Sony – you will be aware that the customer will know the prices of products in other regions, and expect parity. (I accept in hindsight that all bar 1 of todays products do seem to be very closely priced – within UK and USA comparisons anyway) I would suggest that this is very rarely the case.

Without wishing to speak for your other “quotee”, the digital download case is definitely in need of a pricing revision. I understand your point about the R.R.P and stores selling below, however the market again expects a digital product to be available for less than the cost of a physical one. It’s happened with books, films and music – I think it’s only a matter of time before video games follow.

chrisandsheva 23 May, 2012 @ 14:58

@ Store-Team.
Can you please explain why you are Still asking £57.99 for a YEAR old game ?.. am not interested in buying it, But really do wish to know reasoning behind this and other year old games ie infamous2’s ridiculous price tag, it may seem a minor detail to you, but when i see these items asking price i kind of just feel (to myself) that psn (eu) is both out of reach/touch with it’s customers and even insulting us. Someone above mentioned that a (New) games rrp is £50, yes that is true, but IF a store that must pay overheads, ie staff wages, rental for property, heating, or air-condition costs, lighting/general electrical bills and all/any other outlays CAN sell (mostly) Every new release game from £37to£39.99, whithout added bonuses, ie loyalty points, trade in etcetc.. WHy can’t you,?.. btw chech Red-Faction, Armgdd.. £57.99…lol.?..

Ghost Recon Fututre Soldier Signature Edition £38.95:

Jawad, do you have any information about The Pinball Arcade? It’s been over a month since it was launched in the US!

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:21

Answered on the previous pages but I am awaiting a response on this still.

Pixeljunk Monsters PSP was originally due to go live for Vita last week, but didn’t, to the surprise of even the developers!

Please can you send out a request to get it on Vita soon? My many blessings would be given for such an act. (no idea why I’m speaking like that, btw)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:26

Speaking to someone about this. I will hopefully have word on this for next week.

Also to my link within POST 99, Dirt Showdown is £29.95 ;)

Will we ever get the good classics like Suikoden I – V?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:27

First step is if Konami would want like it.

I don’t understand why XBLA have bundle releases for the SEGA titles but PSN doesn’t? :(

I would have thought the good Mike Kebby would have arranged for us to receive them too!

chrisandsheva 23 May, 2012 @ 15:21

Also want to ‘thank’ the store-team for the armaggedon sale, i noticed the much debated AMY and it’s very low price, for plus, so i thought i ‘can’t’ really lose much by seeing this ‘game’ for myself, Boy was i wrong, i actually welcomed the thought of an armageddon event after ‘wasting’ about an hour of my time, (seemed much, much longer though) ‘trying’ to play through this ‘thing!’, just symphatise with anyone who actually paid full price And worse found that (yet again) they’d been, .. (gotta be careful here),.. erm, misled by another wrong ps-blog posts pr and promises of a ‘great game’, .. it does kinda seem that that happens often these days, ie a games dev or producer can get a whole blog page to ‘promote’ their product… what if they were asked to return, say a few weeks later to answer any ‘questions’ then… if they agree (beforehand) then great, But if there maybe too busy… well That heads-up would be nice.

come on man it’s SCEE we talking about they shafted good mike kebby like the rest of us.

but you know what funny with MS is they having a hard time HA HA 360 Are banned in germany now that’s a console & 18 pegi rated games.

supersmith2500 23 May, 2012 @ 15:25

Still no true PS2 classics, *sigh* When is Capcom, Konami, EA etc. going to add their games. I bet CS2 is a another cheap budget game from Midas. :(

Nice to see more SEGA Classics but here’s the thing Jawad. Any chance when will Sonic & Knuckles be released on PSN? Xbox Live Arcade has it and £3.69 for just a SEGA game? Jesus christ why does everything have to be so overpriced now? -__-

chrisandsheva 23 May, 2012 @ 15:31

Not hanging around much longer, so, seeing as it doesn’t seem to be mentioned (?) just let you know that the BATMAN demo is on a 15 minute timer. you Can keep restarting it, but it really doesn’t do this good game any favours, imo… as your lucky if you can get a true glimpse of it all… on similar note i Would be buying DR WHO, IF it was trial and unlock, or i had some idea on how it’ll play… Also great news for us WALKING DEAD fans, this epic (imo) game reached over a million downloads last week, truly deserved, again imo.

I hope that conflict desert storm 1 will be getting added seeing as the 2nd has been put on before the 1st…….

@ 107 supersmith2500

Conflict: Desert Storm II is not a “cheap budget game” from Midas, it was released by Square-Enix. They released Just Cause and Deus Ex in the past two weeks and they’ll release Conflict: Vietnam next week, too. But that’s all I know about their plans on the PS2 front for now.

Commandofin 23 May, 2012 @ 15:37

I think over one and a half month ago I asked about the possibility of Shadow of the Colossus OST being placed into the store and was told that they would look into it. Any update regarding that?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:50

There hasn’t been any update on that.

@ 32

Thanks for the response! I still don’t understand why this is happening, though. I have concerns for the mental health of your colleagues, or at least their business sense. Please convey these to them. ;)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 13:13

It gets complicated as different people need to be involved at different stages. Ideally we’d love for things to be released quickly but it just doesn’t quite work that way.

Doctor Who.
Is it possible to play as David Tennant ? Don’t like the new guy.

jakster123x 23 May, 2012 @ 15:46

Great update.

Any news on PS+ extending to Vita content?

Hi is Blinkbox app coming to the PS3? cheers

Well, and where are our Dragon’s Dogma and Ghost Recon Future Soldier avatars?

Ohh yeh, there was somithing with “long process for avatars” and so.. cmon guys, you had weeks and months to prepare the same thing as your SCEA colleagues successfully did. Yep that means, its another SCEE “fail” in someones eyes. I mean, you released the digital version of GR:FS, so why don’t you complete what you started? Avatars have the same priority… maybe not for you, but for us!

Perhaps in light of the new Batman content, a sale is in order for the Robin/Nightwing DLCs?

Crysis 2 and Deus Ex could really do with a DLC price cut as well. I’d bite on all 3 games at 50% off.

I took the plunge on all the fallout DLC last week, that’ll keep me busy until you get round to these :)

Hi, Jawad. US just got Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare psone classic so i would like to know if EU can get it later too?

And… …is there any news on psone compatibility on Vita? E3 would be a great place to announce that it’s ready ;)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 10:56

I think it was originally publisher by Infogrames so may be difficult to get a hold of for EU markets. I could be wrong though!

No update on that but if E3 is a good place then I wouldn’t announce it here then, eh?

InAK47ITrust 23 May, 2012 @ 15:55

Will Bloodrayne and Red Faction II be released on EU Playstation Store? The first game was released in the US quite some time ago :(

AussieOutsider 23 May, 2012 @ 15:56

where do you find the afl live dlc? I cant see it in the store

When will Dr Who: The Eternity Clock be released for the ps vita?

Just the free Motorstorm RC dlc again for me and the demos. Will wait for the Vita version of DW next month to see if there are any offers or a demo comes out.

Nice to see some retail titles available digitally on the same date though they would need to be discounted to give me an inventive to buy, not interested if I can get a physical copy for less that also has resale value. Still, it is progress.

Diablo_Rosso 23 May, 2012 @ 16:08

I love how there’s no mention of the price drops for Everybody’s Golf, Reality Fighters and Modnation Racers Road Trip. They’re £11.99 now.

Technogamer 23 May, 2012 @ 16:09

great update, i wont be getting doctor who yet as i would prefer to get it on vita and im not paying twice for the same game.

just wondering, is there any chance the UK store will see Castlevania: Symphony of the night PS1 classic anytime soon? i noticed the US store had it free for PS+ users this month and its pretty unfair they have had such a gem of a game for nearly 5 years now and it STILL hasn’t hit the UK store :(

have a word with konami please? :)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 13:17

Ross is always trying to convince Konami. I’m not sure if they’re looking into still or just given up. I’ll ask Ross if there’s any change.

Will there be an update on the Psp essentials range or the Vita-compatible Psp games anytime soon?

3rd Birthday is part of the essentials range. Although, I would like to buy 3rd Birthday on the psn store, the current price is twice the amount of essential psp games.

Any update on compatible psp titles for Vita?

oO-x_HeNoC_x-Oo 23 May, 2012 @ 16:24

no MVC3? :(

@38 @52: The bundles for Fallout are not in the Belgian store at all. Even under the game itself. I already asked Playstation België about it on fb, they should have send the problem to London, but no update after that… So maybe Jawad can give us more info about it?

Apart from that: Are we going to see a discount on Modnation DLC? I’m interested, but I don’t want to pay 30 euro for it, the game is 2 years old after all…

And on other thing: The store updated, but the DLC for uncharted 2 is still charged the regular price and not free…

Not seeing those free maps for Uncharted 2 anywhere!

A_Nonny_Moose 23 May, 2012 @ 16:40

Okay, seriously. Are we EVER getting Sumioni for Vita?

Another vote for Dracula X Chronicles on PSN. I’d love to play it on my Vita!

When the PS Store updates today, everyone worldwide will be able to download the following DLC content for Uncharted 2 absolutely free of charge:

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Drake’s Fortune MP Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Golden Guns
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Sidekick Skin Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Siege Expansion Pack

Nope, still have to pay for them!

extermin8or_ 23 May, 2012 @ 17:01

YAY dr who, although… when’s the ps vita version out? :P The ps vita does seem to be struggling for store content atm and other than that good update :)

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 12:42

A Vita date hasn’t been announced just yet.

More Vita stuff should be coming as soon as next week.

Will star wars battlefront renegade squadron ever be playable on a ps vita

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 12:43

If the developers are keen to make it compatible then hopefully, yes.

Hi Jawad, is Breath of Fire 4 and Alundra heading are way as imports soon, Since the states have had both for nearly a year now.

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 12:44

Last I heard BoF was being looked at. Alundra I am asking about if it’s possible.

Bristow9091 23 May, 2012 @ 17:38

Woo! Alex Kidd in Miracle World! It’s one of my favourite games EVER!

I think I’ll also try out that AR Tanks game, since I’m loving the AR tabletop football game, I play it with my brother quite often, and neither of us are really big fans of football, unless it’s the euro or world cup ofcourse (Although England never wins anyway!)

Anyway Jawad, I’ve got a question regarding PSP games on the PSN: Would it be possible to put the first two Star Ocean games on the PSN (The PSP remakes ofcourse), I mean, I could always buy them for the PSP on UMD, but lately I’ve been buying a lot of games off the PSN to play on my Vita, since they look so much better on the Vita screen (And the picture is bigger!) and I take my Vita EVERYWHERE, so it’d be convenient too!

Also, how’re you today? Are you burning to a crisp like myself? Stupid weather! It’s 32 degrees here in South Yorkshire!

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 12:46

The Star Ocean games are Square Enix so it may be a while if it ever happens.

And yes, it is very hot! Luckily the office is fine.

Platinum-Gstar 23 May, 2012 @ 17:41

What is it with adding more THE STUDIO AVATARS! THEY SUCK! WE WANT MORE AVATARS! The US Playstation Store has way better avatars. COME ON BRING THOSE AVATARS TO OUR PS STORE. Thank You

/rant over

Hi Jawad,
Any news on some SSX DLC coming out?

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 13:09

No news on that but I suspect there will be some soon.

squidward88 23 May, 2012 @ 17:43

has the dlc for table top tanks been taken off the store cause it wont let me download it i’ve paid for it. it doesn’t appear on my download list and on the item itself is rate or recommend

Jawad Ashraf 24 May, 2012 @ 13:09

Most interesting! Let me have a word with some guys here.

blitzkrieger001 23 May, 2012 @ 17:53

Nice jos SCEE, again, no DD and GR avatars. Really smooth.

The extra week discount on Datura is nice, and I’d love to get the free DLC maps for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, but my PS3 is broken, so I can’t download anything! I can access the Store on my PSVita, but that only shows Vita-content.

Sony hasn’t even called me back about the repairs! They said they would call me early this week…

I sure hope I get a PS3 back before next week! Probably not. :(

Any chance Max Payne 2 will see a PSN release in the near future? I’m dying to play the new one but have yet to finish the last!

what happened to the t@g app for vita which was supposed to launch in May.?

WaterElemental 23 May, 2012 @ 18:41

Whats the file size of Sorcery please… the game itself, NOT the DEMO!! Thanks, WE.

The US store says :
File size 5.98 GB

spose the EU version is about that also

WELSHDRAGON_74 23 May, 2012 @ 19:17

Shadowdragoon 23 May, 2012 @ 19:40

Still not getting the Disgaea 4 DLCs? Did some reading on the NIS forums, seems that there was a similar incident whit the Netherlands PSN store, and then it was that scee in their infinite wisdom (read that as stupidity) demands support documents in native language of stores, What those suport documents are for, not us users, as we do not see them… scee quit this stupidity, most of Europe know English..
Next point, when will the following PSP games be avavible on the Store? The ones whit (VITA) is not vita compatible.
Astonishia Story (Vita)
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (Vita)
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleap
Tales of Eternia
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology
Valkyria Chronicles 2 (Vita)
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
Cross Region Gifting. WHEN?

I would like to see the Original Motorstorm and Motorstorm 2 hitting PSN much like the Uncharted series is doing…any info on this that might quench my thirst?

Turbine_inc 23 May, 2012 @ 19:59

what? the free maps for uncharted 2….is that the same free maps that naughty dog said would be part of the large amount of free content for uncharted 2 that would be released before the end of 2009? or is that a completely different set of free maps….because i dont remember any others

Why do the Sega games cost more than they do on 360? this is bs.

Wohooo… Just Bought Modnation and Everybodys Golf for Vita at 1/2 Price on the store, why did you not announce that?, I guess you would generate lots of sale of it :)
Also Reality Fighters is for sale, but I have already that one thought!, But thanks for making those titles really affordable, just the price drop I’ve been waiting for :)
Let there come more simular ones soon, but remember to announce them aswell :)

And where is Pinball Arcade? Is has been out for Xbox in Europe and on PS3 i America for one and a half month! And SCEE do not even bother to comment why… Well, I have been very loyal to the Playstation platform, but that will unfortunately end NOW

Dear Mr. J Ashraf,

i’m in South-Africa & we dont have the Uncharted 2 Maps for free. These are all still priced in our local currency.

Could we please get Super 15 Avatars. For those who live in the Northern Hemisphere, here’s a link to Super 15 & what it is,

my reason for asking is this, there’s Avatars of European football or soccer(as we call it here) clubs. in the store, but there’s NO Avatars of ZA, AU or NZ rugby clubs.

P.S. Our rugby is BETTER than yours

Hey Jawad i just wanted to thank you for looking into Datura’s discount and getting the extra week. By the way do u know if europe is getting persona 3 fes as a ps2 classic?

Can we at least get a reason as to why the Sega games are being released as more expensive single game releases compared to the much cheaper bundles they are released as on Xbox? Seems a very strange thing to do on one platform but not another.

I don’t really mind so much that I can buy Revenge of Shinobi without having to pay for Alex Kidd and Hang On (Both of which are garbage to be frank), but I’d have much rather the Monster World games were available as a bundle.

What’s going on with that?

Those Mega Drive prices are awfully expensive.

how are you not advertising the Vita game price drops? No wonder people get so annoyed about missing these things. It really is backwards of you.

nothing for me this week :/ considering everyone’s whining about psone and ps2 games you’d think you guys would release more than one a week. and maybe ones people have actually been asking for? :( have always been a ps fangirl but so disappointed lately. also could you let me know if that 13-2 dlc last week really was the last ever? not your fault but that was very disappointing too. loved the costumes however but i always do :) please please please get onto whoever controls psone/2 going onto psn and tell them to get on with it. here’s just a few id love (even though some i own they’re just getting a little temperamental recently): dark cloud, dark chronicle, shadow hearts 1&2, san andreas, vice city, suidoken (since 3 i think wasn’t released for Europe), koudelka, ecco the dolphin, parappa, ergheiz, chocobo dungeon & racing… ok there’s definitely more but you can see what im getting at here!

some ps2 games like spyro will be released on the ps store when they are announced as playable character in playstation all stars (title fight.(which will probably be E3))

im hoping for a price reduction on infamous 2 when cole is announced this is all speculation but it sounds logical, they already said some games will go on sale when the characters are announced, like the one that happened a couple of weeks ago.

Just to update my request: Pixeljunk Monsters Deluxe HAS now been added to the Vita compatibility list for Europe.

Yes! Pixeljunk Monsters is now downloadable and playable on Vita. AND it’s on offer.

Now to lobby for the Burnout games…
