DC Universe Online Marketplace Sale

Banner---E2_632x263_UK

Did somebody say SALE? That’s right, from 4th July to 11th July, 2012, the SOE Summer Sizzle is coming to the DC Universe Online PlayStation 3 in-game marketplace. Our first-ever sale for our PS3 players will reduce all items in the in-game marketplace up to 50%! This sale has been in the works for several months, and we believe the effort will pay off for our players. We have long wanted to offer a sale like this to our loyal PS3 players, and we really hope to do more of these in the future.

So maybe you need to stock up on Replay Badges, re-spec your Power Type, or you finally want to get some Prometheum Keys to open up those Lock Boxes that have been cluttering your inventory – now is the time! From Style Items to Vault Tickets, everything in the in-game marketplace is half off.

So tell us what you think in the comments below, or track us down and Like us at Facebook.com/DCUniverseOnline. We love to hear what you guys have to say because it’s the community that helps make DCUO better. Have a great summer, and we hope you enjoy the sale. We’ll see you in-game!

I loved DCUO when I first discovered it and after a week bought a DLC pack which it turned I couldn’t use the bulk of until I achieved a combat rating of 53. Nothing in the Playstation Store product description stated that requirement. I struggled to reach the level in the limited amount of weekly time I had to play the game (I don’t have 6+ hours a day to dedicate like some), that after 2 weeks asked for a refund or a replacement with a DLC with a lower combat rating. (They do exist.) As operator of the DCUO platform, Sony are even able to verify via my DCUO account information that all I was able to access was the electricity power… which lets face it, nobody buys a DLC pack for.

Sony point blank refused and writing to them resulted in a circular set of options… with the PSN team telling me to contact the DCUO team and the DCUO team telling me to contact the PSN team. The manager I dealt with had all the empathy of a housebrick.

Consequently, I haven’t touched DCUO since and I tend to buy games from Amazon now instead of the Playstation Store because they just seem to be a lot more customer friendly. It’s a shame really because I’m the kind of MMOG player who *does* like to sink money into that kind of game.

How about we finally get a Lifetime subscription on PS3 for £100 or whatever?

Please add subscription to the Russian Store!!! Plz, we really want to enjoy this game without changing accounts.

This news has angered me to say the least. I have bought every bit of dlc for DCUO, in addition i have been a legendary subscriber. I feel that as a loyal premium player my max in game currency should be at least 50k but truly believe it shouldn’t be capped.
Giving people access to all the content at half price is an outrage & just shows the developers have lost interest. This whole free to play service is a disgrace & sony should be ashamed of the misconduct not to mention DC comics.

Lets hope Dust 514 doesn’t follow in the footsteps of greedy developers & honour loyal gamers. provide a reliable service & want consistent income rather than a quicky!

plz change the 2000$ cash for premium members i can’t even repair with 2000$ & to buy interface type 3 or 4 i must beg on legendary players to buy my 1 this u must change to 10000$ for premium PLZ not 2000$ . on GOT/PGB or FOS every time i must cary interface type 1 on me to repair plz change the 2000$ cash

While I was in the beta for DC:O, I really became attached to it and looked forward to launch.

Then I discovered I wouldn’t be able to buy a lifetime sub on PSN. I’m done with subs to MMO’s. I’d rather just pay a large flat-out payment and be done with it. It really left a sour taste in my mouth and I never even went back to it when it went free to play.
