TOKYO JUNGLE Swings Onto PlayStation Network Next Month

You may have caught wind of this one-of-a-kind title’s release in Japan or heard whispers of it this past E3, but we’re excited to finally announce that TOKYO JUNGLE will be coming to PSN for the PS3 very shortly – on 26th September, to be exact!

Developed by PlayStation C.A.M.P and Crispy’s, TOKYO JUNGLE is an action adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic Japan where humankind no longer exists and animals must ruthlessly fight for their lives. In this world, there’s just one rule – only the strong survive!

TOKYO JUNGLE puts you in the shoes (paws?) of over 50 playable animals, ranging from lapdogs to velociraptors. Playing your animal of choice, unleash your inner beast to hunt your way to the top of Tokyo’s post-apocalyptic food chain.

There are two game modes: in Story Mode, you’ll play as a range of different animals whose lives are intertwined as they struggle to survive in the Tokyo wilderness, all while unraveling the mystery of mankind’s disappearance. In Survival Mode, you will hunt, occupy territories, and produce offspring to secure future generations and resist extinction. As you progress, you’ll also obtain survival points to unlock playable animals and purchase costumes to increase your abilities.

Whether in Story or Survival Mode, you never know where your next meal will come from or the dangers you’ll face in this concrete jungle, so be prepared for anything and everything when TOKYO JUNGLE launches, priced £9.99/€12.99/AUS$19.95.

Did you enjoy this?

I can’t understand why Sony keep saying everything is coming “shortly” or “soon” or “very shortly”:

“very shortly – on 26th September”

It is the 20th August, not the 20th September.
That is not a short time.
Don’t make it out to be.
Unless you live in a world where time moves 10 times faster, it is not a coming out shortly.

DD games have been impressing me a lot more this year and Tokyo Jungle is yet another one I am really looking forward to. Glad it got a western release, would be shame to keep such a fresh idea on the apocalypse setting in JPN PSN only.

Sorry to bother but the French blog announced the game at € 14.99 and here at € 12.99. What is the correct price, please?

I am truly looking forward to Tokyo Jungle~<3 I have seen gameplay of this title that has nearly brought me to tears and, as quirky and fun as this title is shown to be in trailers, it's gameplay can sometimes get surprisingly epic and deep. Playing a few generations of pomeranians in the Tokyo jungle should give people a good sense of that and I will enjoy sharing that with friends in co-op. ;3
