Access Episode 47: Resident Evil 6! Gran Turismo! SummerSlam!

Hello all.

Notice something a little different about Access TV this week? No, not our hair. From now on we’ll be giving our Game Of The Week slot a more personal feel, with the eventual aim of getting you guys directly involved with the show in the form of guest presenters (a little bit like we did with our E3 and Gamescom coverage.)

For now, though, you’ll have to put up with Access TV’s own Rob Pearson, who does a fine job in front of the camera this week telling us about the time he’s spent playing action-ed up zombie blockbuster Resident Evil 6. Once you’ve had a look please do tell us what you think of the new format in the comments below!

Elsewhere we have a quick word with Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi (ahead of a longer interview next week), plus we’ve got the agonising footage of Access TV’s cycle ride home from gamescom – which, let’s all remember with a wince, is in GERMANY – in aid of industry charity GamesAid.

Talking of community presenters, last but definitely loudest we’ve got a report from this year’s SummerSlam, featuring Access competition winner Chris Fox, who does an amazing job in front of the camera interviewing WWE superstars, previewing the latest from THQ’s WWE 13, and – hard life – watching the show itself in LA.

Click here to subscribe to Access TV on YouTube, where you’ll get a new episode every Friday as well as YouTube exclusive extras and interviews.

To find our more about how you can get involved with Access TV’s competitions or if you’d like to be a community presenter, visit us on Facebook at, or follow us on Twitter at

That “Walken Talk” was sensational.

We’re still laughing. Seriously. Someone needs to take that memory away from us.

I’m really, really keen to get your feedback on our new Game of the Week section guys – have a watch and let us know whether you prefer the new format!

at work will watch when home but wanted to say the guest presenter did such a good job I think you should keep him on he did really well

The new Game Of The Week slot doesn’t do anything for me. It dragged out, namely because we were watching too much unnecessary live action rather than the game which brought us here…

I’ve nothing against a good gag but why were we watching Rob walking down a street (it added nothing to him being in a room)? Rob sitting in a car (granted he was talking about driving but we didn’t need a visual representation of a car interior)? Rob drinking orange juice?

Optimistically, the concept has potential but try keep the focus on the game, only need to iron out the corporate view of a ‘personal feel’. After all, you’re catering for gamers, not grannies. But maybe gaming grannies…

Either that or I’ll just say we want more Mark Hulmes!!!

Liking the new game of the week format it gives more airtime to the games and we get a better understanding of the games at base level – off to a good start. Just to say keep up the good work I love access.

walken talk. brilliant.

Didn’t like the episode to be honest. Skipped through Game of the Week after a small time. Probably be the last one I watch for a while..
