The wait is finally over and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita will be hitting the shelves this week. In preparation for this exciting release that we just cannot wait for you to pick up and play, we have a whole bunch of goodies to announce and treats to show you before you begin Sackboy’s latest adventure!

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita has been developed by Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven with a brand new story that takes place not on Craftworld, but on the travelling planet of Carnivalia. Once the bringer of joy and laughter, Carnivalia has now been taken over by the mysterious Puppeteer and his evil henchmen, the Hollows! Now it creates joy only to steal it all back again. It’s up to Sackboy to save the Omniverse!

You can find out whether he succeeds or not when the game launches across Europe, from 19th September. Don’t have PlayStation Vita yet? Well then, maybe we can interest you with this LittleBigPlanet PS Vita bundle. For just €249.99 you get both PlayStation Vita and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Rare T-Shirt

It wouldn’t be a new LittleBigPlanet game if we didn’t have some special surprises in store for you to help us celebrate the release. And for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, we have got a couple of costume releases for you that really fit the bill.

UltraRareVitaShirtPose_1 UltraRareVitaShirtPose_2 UltraRareVitaShirtPose_3

Long-time fans of LittleBigPlanet will know that we like to celebrate the release of a new LittleBigPlanet game with the release of an extra-special Rare T-Shirt that will be available for just one week only. So allow me to present to you, the Rare LittleBigPlanet PS Vita T-Shirt!

This rather snazzy Rare T-Shirt will suit any Sackboy or Sackgirl’s personality by automatically matching the colour of the T-shirt with their chosen Popit Colour. With a simply adorable animation on the front, who could possibly resist adding this costume to their wardrobe of costume delights for LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting?

Don’t forget, though, that the LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Rare T-Shirt will only be available for a very limited amount of time! It can be snapped up this week for £3.99/€4.99, so don’t delay in picking it up because once it’s gone, it’s gone forever and will never return!

The Launch Spacesuit Returns!

Reserved for the launch of a brand new LittleBigPlanet game, we have the ever-popular Launch Spacesuit returning to the Store next week. The Launch Spacesuit is FREE and will be returning for one week only too, so make sure you don’t miss out on getting a hold of everyone’s favourite astronomical attire for Sackboy.

Meet the Creator Curators of LittleBigPlanet PS Vita

Sackboy will meet a wonderful and rather eccentric cast of new Creator Curators as he travels around the magical world of Carnivalia. Last week, we revealed each of these characters and told you a little bit about them on our Facebook page. If you haven’t seen these biographies already, be sure to head on over to our LittleBigPlanet Facebook page and check them out.

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Arcade trailer

In celebration of all this news, we have a brand new trailer for you, which takes a closer look at the Arcade – a theme outside of the main story that is entirely dedicated to a new suite of arcade style mini-games.

As you can see from the trailer, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita goes far beyond the realms of platforming and will give everyone the opportunity to play a whole host of awesome mini games on the PlayStation Vita.

Review Round-Up

The reviews for LittleBigPlanet PS Vita are now out, and it seems that everyone loved Sackboy’s new adventure. Here’s just a small sample of the nice things that the gaming press have been saying about the game!

IGN – 9/10
“When the LittleBigPlanet community gets its hands on the PS Vita version, amazing stuff is going to happen, and the PlayStation Vita is going to have a free App Store.”

EDGE – 9/10
“If anything, this is the most inventive LittleBigPlanet campaign yet, in fact, with each level throwing in a new twist or an unexpected gimmick as you catch trains across an endless junkyard or move through haunted houses leaping from one dumb waiter to the next.”

CVG – 9.2/10
“Tilt control? That’s in too. Camera? Yup. Having all these functions is one thing, but what really sets them off is the way levels have been perfectly designed to integrate the features. Nothing here feels like a novelty feature; it’s all here for a reason, and that makes the single-player the best LBP campaign on any format.”

KnightsOfOld BioShock

THE game is out this week! why is the shirt coming next week?! Oh i see, because US dosent get the game this week does it?

Really looking forward to this game, more than to Borderlands 2! Preordered it weeks ago and now I’m just waiting for it to arrive.

Hey guys! The rare t-shirt and the spacesuit will only be available for those who buy the game from the playstation store?

Simon Rosenkotter 17 September, 2012 @ 17:43

No, they are available for everyone. Even those who haven’t bought the game yet. :)

Interesting, a shame physical owners cant get their hands on both pre order bonuses, not happy about that.
Out of curiosity and last minute consideration, can you say how big LBP is filewise?
I think the answer to that may make the scales dip to one side.

Simon Rosenkotter 17 September, 2012 @ 17:45

It’s about 1.6GB here in Europe.

Fantastic news…but PLEASE can we have a price for the store!? Any PS+ discount? (gotta ask! :P)

@4 the advantage of physical is that you can sell it on – digital is money one way only, so TBH I’d rather it be a chunk cheaper but at least it’s something. Also I would guess ~2GB for LBPV.

Little Big Planet Ps Vita £28.91 on, such a nice prise, nice game, and Good Job!

Gotta load some money on my acc, so please tell me:

– will it be available with the Wednesday update
– what price for
– any discount for a plus user?

Thanks in advance and looking forward the game! :)

More questions:

– how will be the old, already bought customes available for this game?
– what about the patch for ps3 lbp2 with what the new vita-ps3 crossplaying will come?

Already have a Vita, but my son looks like he wants one for Xmas because of LBP ;) – is that bundle going to be available in the UK? I’ve done a quick search on the web, but cant see it listed anywhere.

Hey Simon, many thanks for the quick reply which brought us awesome news :D and 1.6Gb it’s quick accessible also, I was expecting mmore, though I’m aiming for the retail version because I like to have the hard copies on my shelf so my friends can see and get envy *turns show off mode on* :p

Oh thank god it’s only 1.6GB! I was so worried I’d have to splash out on a new (excessively priced) memory card… Guess I’ll delete a few demos and remove music I don’t actually listen to.

I cant see how its 1.6gb as the psp version was that size and that had worse graphics, animations etc.
must be some fancy compression i guess

@9 sainsburys will have it for £189.99 bargian.
and also making really want a vita now

Can you say how much LBP will be on PSN too?

Just pre ordered from amazon with pre order bonus of knights costume etc. can’t wait for this, I’m 31 and excited lol

Hey what day does the psn offer for the costumes end in UK? I don’t get paid till 28th and for us that would the last day of a week, really would like the costumes.

Really hope this game sells well, the PSP version of LBP was real disapointing because the story was boring and Studio Cambridge who developed it did a bleak job on it. Let’s hope LBP Vita sells well has it could be Sackboy’s only hope to increase Vita sales like what Mario did to their 3DS.

You know, I think Sackboy should be the new mascot for PlayStation with Mario being mascot to Nintendo. LBPVita, Assassin Creed 3, Killzone, Sly Cooper and especially All-Stars Royale could help boost Vita sales up. Don’t forget to drop the price down for Vita too and you’ll get some.

How much will the digital version be ? And is there any spicial deals for plus members ?

No way , this game is coming on 19 september:D Awesomeness. I forgot that this game was coming out. I thaught 25 september. Glad it is coming this early!

[DELETED], 5 euro for a lbp tshirt?
I hope the proceeds go to a good cause and not the deep pockets of Sony and MM, that would be sad.

One question, will it have online play? I’m sure it would come with a pass?

Will it release in the UK PSN on 19th aswell? Would be great to know the price so I know whether to buy another PSN card.

Are there any fast ways to skip through the training missions?? Many of us might have played through the training missions from LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2 and or LittleBigPlanet PSP.

And holy crap, the game out came EARLY in the US due to gamers really excited to play the game. The US release date was originally 25.09.12 but it’s now lifted.

Great job well done to the developers for making a great Vita game. :D
But it’s too bad I left the LBP community. Keep this up.

can i use my ps+ that i subcribed to it with my ps3 in ps vita?
is it work with ps vita

I’ve been enjoying the Vita for months now and hear so many people complaining about the price. Well I say “complain no more!”

PS Vita(wifi) + Little Big Planet Vita + 4GB Memory Card =

*drum roll please* £189.99 !!!!

Absolute killer bargain! People who don’t own a Vita all ready should be jumping at this superb offer :-D

Where is the white Vita in EU? Will we really have to import it from the US?? It’s getting ridicolous.

We will get it eventually, don’t panic.

Not my game, But i noticed a add for it And vita on tv earlier, Not to sure about the add, but at least it’s getting views, which is allways good…
Now, just roll on price release blog, Really looking forwards to That, But, seeing as it’s ‘mostly’ for the younger, .. erm at heart, then i hope it isn’t That bad.

Just pre-ordered! Really excited to play this and Borderlands 2 this week :D

No word on the pricing for digital ?

” Hi, I know the good place for play CS:S & CS:GO –
There is an easy mix system, paid tournaments, and many more.
Register there, and see it yourself. This is really a very nice place.”

Really need to know the UK price on this one…I’ve had it preordered online with a site I won’t name for £30, and if the price is matched I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase through the PSN and cancel my order… So please reply! If not then, Im just curious, digital and physical copy game saves are compatible with one another right?

Morning all! Only 3 more sleeps now for the Uk.

For me it is way disappointing, that

– about every third comment asks about the price without reading others

– also, why don’t we get any replies? After 2 replies the post writer disappeared despite that this is “the” post what a lot of people are interested in. Seems like Sony doesn’t takes care of this game. As far as I know, LBP Vita is one of the most long-awaited program that can rise Vita sales. I was hoping for a better support then…

Surely its not hard to just announce a UK/EURO price for those on the fence about ordering or waiting on the PSN offering?

For me it is important since if it is around Ł30 and then with a Ł35 card I can also buy Sunflowers for my daughter I would choose psn version (and would buy a psn card b4 Wednesday). If it is Ł35 or over, I would pre-order street version because then it doesnt worth buying the digital. Also, pre-order bonuses are only for pre-orders. Thats why I am waiting for the answer, but, as i wrote earlier, seems like Sony doesnt really want be to buy it.. :(

Hi! Is it true, that there is no ad-hoc multiplayer? If it is, then its very disappointing. I bought two psvita to play games with my brother via the same account. The mainly reason was lpbv. Is there any chance to implant adhoc feature to the game? Thank you for your reply.

test the water with the price SCEE always says “we don’t set the price” if it £40 quid that too high, now i have seen Ps vita games of £30 quid that reasonable, unlike cashcom & money grabbing activision.

£47.99 for resi-6 & nearly £60 quid for COD-MW3 is rather ridiculous. :|

* i add sony also had said they be No “fixed” prices.

great to see the spacesuit make a return. I’ve missed it each time it’s been released. Finally time to get my hands on it . Thank you

I would like to get 1 thing straight. Why are the Yanks getting the game now and we have to wait until Friday. The game was made in the UK and Sweden and yet its been shipped and released in America.
I wish SCEE would stop being SCEA little lap dog and make them wait for a game published by SCEE.

I agree Marc, though ideally there should be a united global release for every game. This is 2012, yet the way release dates are handled is so antiquated.

“The game was made in the UK and Sweden and yet its been shipped and released in America.”

do this ring a bell “tomb raider was made in uk yet SCEA had it on their store while we wait 5 years”

but we know why don’t we. :/

Definitely wish I could afford a Vita, starting to gain some pace now.

Will it be available to download T-shirt and Spacesuite from a PS Vita store? Or only from PS3 store?

when will little big planet be released in the playstation store ?

what time am is ps vita going to go on the ps store as it goes on there today what time will it be on there

why 21st in UK and 19th in EUROPE
