VidZone Update – EXCLUSIVE: Fatboy spotted on the beach

Actually it’s not on the beach at all, it’s in a football stadium, but it is called Big Beach Bootique and is the fifth in a long tradition of Fatboy led megaparties in his hometown of Brighton and guess what? We have exclusive footage from the event!

Obviously that’s not it, but I won’t rain on Candice’s parade so you will have to read on to see what else we have. Actually, I will say one thing: Peter Gabriel, Sledgehammer. It has arrived, finally, like a Delorean back from the ’80s, flux capacitor and flaming tire trail in tow.

Ok, now over to Middle-earth with our resident music video Gandalf, Candice, for all the rest of this week’s music video goodness.

Artist Of The Week – Calvin Harris

Scottish dance producer extraordinaire, Calvin Harris has just released new album 18 Months and to celebrate, we have placed him in our coveted Artist Of The Week position this week! The album features all of the year’s biggest hits including ‘Bounce’ feat. Kelis, ‘We Found Love’ feat. Rihanna and the latest smash hit single ‘Sweet Nothing’ which features the vocal talent of Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine. You can watch all of these videos and more in his playlist now.

Check out below for all the highlights of the next couple of weeks.

A question from my wife (I swear!) but last year there was a Christmas section of songs on vidzone. When is it coming back?

    Ben Creasey 1 November, 2012 @ 4:07 pm

    Hi englishgolfer

Christmas! Already! Erm, we are of course planning our Yuletide offerings but it might be a couple of weeks yet before they go live.

If enough people comment and say they want it then there is no reason we couldn’t push it forward…

Please, I’m trying to forget Christmas is next 😛

Concerts from Gary Numan, Dresden Dolls, Emilie Autumn ? JAY! 🙂
It’s been too long since I used VidZone, but continue like this, and it’s back on the regular program list.

Well done on Sledgehammer, such a great video & song!

Ben is there any chance for some Madonna videos??

I group my lists into artists & add their videos to it & Madonna has hardly any!

    Ben Creasey 1 November, 2012 @ 4:12 pm

    Hi Catkiller1

I knew some people would appreciate that one!

As for Madonna, unfortunately we don’t have license for a lot of her content but we are constantly in negotiation with labels so its not impossible that you will see these at some point.

Thanks Ben! My wife has been counting down to Christmas since, well, since the last Christmas. lol!

Just to let you know Ben my playlist has come back after going missing for two weeks.

And in other news

“Sony made a net loss of ¥15.5 billion ($198 million) in its second fiscal quarter, while its gaming division saw year-on-year declines in profit.”

I laughed hard, kind of explains the spamstar icon, still, continue on with your bleak non existant customer service and your shoddy goods that dont last as long as they should and wasting money on crap like move, home, vita, you know, crap that only a minority are interested in, along with sueing peoples and removing features and hopefully your go the way of the sega within the next few years =)

    Ben Creasey 2 November, 2012 @ 11:30 am

    Hi Alluxus

Glad you like it, we would love to have more concerts by all our artists. Mr Guetta would be a great one to have. Hopefully we can get something you like soon.

oh dollars, i read pounds on other thread, just too confusing, these quartely reports, i mean who knows what ‘investments’ sony have made, that are yet to (maybe) materialise, still it’s not as good as it could of, should of been, one has to wonder when their advisors will, if ever plot a new course, maybe even (dare i say) listening to customers feedback, wants and requests, prob just a dream, but maybe it will take a near miss, for them to start waking up to other possibilities. .. one thing that allways confuses me, why is it easier to be a billionaire in US, i mean a thousand mill, instead of a million you may see economy’s isn’t one of my best hobbies.

As a sign of my frustration with the store and blog staff, And anger at the way we are treated and scammed I will be boycotting the store and convincing others to do the same until you show us the respect we deserve as your paying customers.

Examples being,
– Blog staff ignoring important or useful questions.
– Replying to the same questions, sometimes on the same page.
– Inability to provide us with information (TWD, CS:GO)
– Promoting content, then on release saying its delayed.
– Promoting deals that don’t work and don’t fix (Dead Island).
– Releasing Content, then announce a discount a week later (WWE13).
– 95% of the PS2 games are garbage, release good games.
– Charging ridiculous amounts for digital games.
– Charging more than the US Store, Content should be equally priced.
– Forced to have a Singstar icon on the XMB.
– Feel free to add more
