LittleBigPlanet Karting is out this week – check out the TV ad and launch trailer!

You heard correctly: LittleBigPlanet Karting is finally launching this week!

All of us at United Front Games and Sony San Diego Studio have been hard at work on this game for nearly two years, so we’re very excited to finally see our fans get their hands on Sackboy’s new karting adventure.

In LittleBigPlanet Karting, visitors known as the Hoard have arrived from far, far away on speedy go-karts to seek out and steal Craftworld’s most precious prizes. Now it’s up to you to hop in a kart, beat back these otherworldly invaders, and reclaim Craftworld once and for all!

So, you’ve raced your friends on Facebook and you’ve had a wander around the sacktastic Home area (not to mention claimed your extra Home rewards of two karts to jump on and drive around the area, two helmets and a rocket companion!)…

But before you finally take the wheel, we have some visual launch goodies to share with you today :)

In celebration of LittleBigPlanet Karting’s launch, first off here’s the (English) TV ad:

Secondly, we have a brand new trailer for you! From an in-depth single player journey, to racing and battling online in the multiplayer mode, to creating and customizing your own levels with an expanded set of unique creation tools, it’s clear that LittleBigPlanet Karting offers players a virtually endless set of gameplay possibilities. And for the first time ever in LittleBigPlanet’s history, Craftworld is now expertly re-created in a stunning 3D world.

Don’t take our word for it though; check out the trailer to see for yourself.

No LittleBigPlanet game is complete without a rare week-one shirt, and LittleBigPlanet Karting is no different! This time around, we’ve opted for a design that celebrates LittleBigPlanet Karting’s Canadian heritage, designed by Karting’s Canadian based developer United Front Games.

This jersey will be available for one week only (starting today) at €4.99, so don’t forget to snag yours before the opportunity is gone for good!

That’s all from us today. We’ll see you all online and we can’t wait to see all of your amazing creations once you start experimenting with all of the create tools.

Without further ado, LittleBigPlanet Karting is available this week across the PAL region (Wednesday 7th November in Europe & South Africa, 8th Australia & New Zealand, 9th UK & Ireland)!

You get the pre order bonuses if you buy it off PSN, right?

why you don’t make this game for both ps3 & vita :(

O.M.G. how am I going to sleep now knowing this *sigh*

You might as well don’t even bother because €5 for a virtual item like that is completely riddiculous.

I feel pitty for those who buy it lol

I see this game has four player splitscreen and 8 player online, does that mean with 2 TVs, 2 ps3s and 2 copies of the game we could play 8 player?

Mod nation racers dressed up in sack boy clothes. Also getting bad reviews.

@ zuzzyb2
i was thinking exact same thing, also tbh, from what i have seen i would even go as far back as mario kart racing, guess like most products, the name will sway many people, even if it is basically a remake of previous games, hope the buyers have as much fun with their kids as i remember having c/o mario kart though..

I CAN’T WAIT!!! :P + Love that UK Ad!!! :D

The mediocre reviews tell me to avoid this game till the price drops to around £15

Little Big Planet is a great franchise for me. There are not many Platformers that you can play coop and. My wife really loved the 2 games and I really like to play together with her. She also likes Sackboy really much. I think that she might also have fun with a funny kart racer.

I just wanted to add, that I am not a Fan of the “play, create, share” approach. I just want to “play”… I would not mind the editor being a bonus, but the 24h active with the editor Trophy is just a No-go for me. I do not have the spare time and somehow I find it unfair that I would not be able to get the Platinum trophy… Maybe I am sort of a Completionist but being only 1 Trophy away from the Platinum is something that I don’t like.

The lbp karting game have crashed several times on my ps3 now, I hope it’s just my ps3 wich is bad as it’s been crashing a lot since the 2 last fw updates… Now I can not access the options menu from the pod or create a track without it crashing my ps3 :(

This game is so much fun! Haven’t had this much fun with a kartracer since Mariokart. Love the atmosphere and audio as always. I like this a lot more than Modnation racers, which didn’t feel like a real kartracer to me, but more like something in between a kartracer and an arcade racer. This is much more like Mariokart which I personally like better. I might actually even get into the creating this time, since building tracks seems less complicated, and if it’s as easy as in Modnation, I’ll definitely give it a try.

£3.99 is far too much for this item and much more than the other rare t-shirts ever were.. is the extra money for the sleeves?.. Pity me, because I’m buying it anyway, curse you OCD!!!

Sonic and Sega all star racing transformed will probably be the better option than this, first one was so much fun.
