Good morning PS Blog loyalists! Music Unlimited here, the 18 million-song-strong behemoth wired direct to your PlayStation.

It’s been a while, but with the amount of changes coming to the service in the next 12 months (yep, we’ve heard your requests), we’re going to be posting bi-weekly from now on to keep you up to date with the many delights that are lurking around the corner.

After a sluggish January for us all, February has truly kick-started us back into gear as we excitedly announce the first of many additional features: the Game Music channel.

Available later this month, it will feature an archive of game soundtracks, from massive blockbusters to cult classics of years gone by, including Assassins Creed, Silent Hill, Prince of Persia, Final Fantasy, Castlevania and R-Type among others. Excited is an understatement.

Game Music is joined by a host of new sub-genre channels including Old School Hip-Hop, Classic Rock and New Wave amongst others, live early February.

As you know, the MU catalogue updates daily so we wanted to ask you, if you could choose a soundtrack from any game to join our new Game Music channel, what would it be?

Elsewhere, we’ve got a really busy month as we’ll be interviewing Tegan and Sara on the 8th February as well as up and coming bands Wild Swim, Duologue and the awesome Josephine on the 22nd.

If you haven’t heard them, we suggest checking them out on the service now, and if there are any questions you’d like us to ask them on your behalf, we’ll gladly put them on the spot. Apparently Duologue boast some serious PS3 prowess, and Josephine can nail a 10-hit combo on Tekken Tag Tournament 2 quicker than you can hit the Start button. We’ve been warned.
