GRID 2 Mono Edition – the ultimate collector’s item?

Hi everyone :)

It’s great to be back here again and this time I’ve got some exciting news about a one-of-a-kind GRID 2 special edition, exclusive to PlayStation fans. We reckon it’s the most exclusive special edition that’s ever been created, and most expensive. That said, it does deliver the ultimate racing experience for a gamer.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce the GRID 2 Mono Edition, which includes, for one lucky gamer, the following:

  • A copy of GRID 2 for PlayStation 3 including bespoke artwork
  • An actual 170 mph BAC Mono supercar in exclusive GRID 2 livery
  • A day at the BAC factory, including a factory tour and time spent with technicians to customise the BAC Mono for size and specifications
  • A GRID 2: Mono Edition-branded Bell Racing helmet
  • Race suit, boots and gloves, all made to measure in BAC Mono and GRID 2 branding
  • A PlayStation 3
  • Did we say AN ACTUAL BAC Mono supercar? Yeah, one of them.

The BAC Mono is a British manufactured, road-legal, ultra-high performance supercar which stars in the game. Created from high-strength carbon fibre, the BAC Mono is an unrivalled example of light-weight performance engineering and its 2.3 litre, 280 bhp four cylinder power plant will propel its driver from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. It looks incredible, the acceleration is ridiculous and we absolutely love it.

So, you want it right? Well, all this can be yours for just £125,000.

Sadly, only one is available and of course, we’re aware that not everyone has enough space on their drive for a real BAC. Well, fortunately you can experience the BAC Mono in GRID 2 – and you’ll be able to pick up your copy from Friday (31st May) next week.

Should be one lucky gamer could win this.
Codemasters and sony should have pulled together to make this a prize, anyone who buys the game gets put into a draw, just think of the boosted sales.
Still Can’t wait for this.:)

‘An actual 170 mph BAC Mono supercar in exclusive GRID 2 livery’
So is that a model or an in-game car?

It’s an actual car (but it does feature in the game as well).

That’s an insane special edition!!

XzSlLENTSNIPERzX 24 May, 2013 @ 10:59

That’s brilliant!
This is one of the best special editions I’ve seen in a while, despite the cost of course! If I had £125,000 lying around I’d snap this up in an instant.

How does one go about receiving the car? Does it get delivered in a truck to my house if I were to buy it?

I’d probably buy the game if it gave me entry into a draw for that. What a special edition!

Are existing pre-orders with GAME valid? As I’ve had mine pre-ordered since the game was announced.

Found different posts around the internet about pre-orders. I thought it was for a prize draw.

If only I had a spare £125k. :(

Really cool edition. Too bad I don’t have the money for it :P
(By the way, will we see a demo of GRID 2 on PSN?

No current plans for a demo, we’ll keep you posted :)

Marketing at its worst!!!
I hope the game its at least good as you think it is.

I already have a BAC Mono in NFS: Most Wanted. I’m all good.

I couldn’t give a monkey’s rear end about real cars.

From what I’ve read, the car would cost £125000 to buy anyway.
So this is either the most expensive video game special edition ever, or a kind of “get a ps3 and a game free when you buy this car” promotion, in which case it really sucks as you can get a ps3 as a gift for buying a phone nowdays!!!

I know this is a bit off topic but when do we get this:

I’d be over the moon if we get a similar deal like this in the near future. PLease make it happen!

This Will Not Sell For £125,000 the will be a big bidding war against rich people i reckon they should auction it for charity !!

The best collector’s edition I’ve ever seen!

@B4ZZER-1988 That’s right.

Another no demo for a CM racer. Also no dash view killed this for me, but I guess I’m in the minority so whatever.

I wonder if the cockpit will be removed from the next gen F1 game?

Are you only able to drive this car in controlled races or can you drive it around on the road whenever you want?

Where does one purchase bespoke special edition?

That’s a good point Project – without a link to where we can buy it, you have to wonder if this edition exists at all or is just a marketing stunt that they “are selling it” before giving it to the CEO as it “didn’t sell.”

Is there one of those Flash sales with 65% off for PSN +?

Maybe I could consider doing that.
