Win a trip to Gamescom 2013!

Following our contest last month which saw a lucky winner jet off to the annual E3 event in Los Angeles, we’re offering a pair of tickets to this year’s Gamescom, which kicks off in Cologne, Germany on 21st August. What’s more, you’ll also be invited to attend the PlayStation Press Conference on 20th August, where we’ll be showing off the future of PS3, PS Vita and PS4.

One winner, plus their guest, will claim the following prize package:

  • Two tickets to Gamescom 2013 for Wednesday 21st August 2013 and Thursday 22nd August 2013
  • Two tickets to the PlayStation Press Conference on Tuesday 20th August 2013
  • Return flights, outbound on Monday 19th August 2013 and inbound on Friday 23rd August 2013
  • Four nights accommodation in a double or twin room at a four star hotel, including breakfast
  • Return transport from Cologne airport to the hotel
  • Return transport from the hotel to the Press Conference on 20th August 2013
  • £500 spending money

To be in with a chance of winning you’ll need to correctly answer six multiple choice questions concerning PS4 in the fastest possible time. Take note – you can only enter once, and the timer is measured to three decimal places to prevent a tie. Go straight to our competition site when you’re ready to get started. Good luck!

Please note that the competition is subject to terms and conditions and is only open to respondents from participating countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and UK.

Done. Fingers crossed!

Hopefully the rumours of lots of Vita game reveals are true. I’ve fell for the hype re: Vita announcements before only for them to never materialise but I have faith this time.

Don’t let me down Sony, I have everything crossed!

I was interested until I saw it’s using the same winning process as the E3 competition. Two great competitions I don’t have any chance of winning.

Not being a total reflex God doesn’t make me any less of an enthusiast that would love to attend, and I can’t trust that the winner won’t have the questions lined up before starting or wrote a fancy web script to knock out the answers super fast.

Wasn’t there a lot of criticism last time for this? Oh well. Hopefully next time there’s a competition, all of us have a chance to win.

Wow, it looks like Sony doesn’t like Italy’s money: why can’t we take part to this contest?

No love for Greece either :(
Thanks guys!

The only flaw with this contest is people can enter this at many times as they want as one as they have infinite email accounts.

If I really wanted to win I can create 5 email accounts and enter 5 times.

My hands aren’t fast or steady enough to move the mouse accurately enough for timed contests. I realised that when I tried to enter the Jak Vita contest

Not going to take a chance on wining a trip, will book this weekend so I don’t miss out on the games and the Kölsch ;)

Anybody else just getting a page that days Disallowed Key Characters? :/

It’s a bit sad that people who have a handicap (physical or mental) or on heavy pain medication wouldn’t be able to enter although they are loyal customers and fan of Playstation. It’s never a good ting to exclude people.

I’m also getting the Disallowed Key Characters.

Yeah just like PerpetualMind I am also getting the Disallowed Key Characters

Done and now I wait.

I fixed “Disallowed Key Characters” bug by opening link in incognito window, on chrome browser

Doesn’t give dyslexic people much of a chance….

Fred this is a great competition but in future could there be a tiebreaker that doesn’t rely on speed as it excludes PlayStation fans who have physical disabilities.

I have a mate who I know would love to go. He has some slight physical shaking in his hands which means there is no chance he could win be the best in the tie breaker. How about digitally putting all the correct answers in a hat?

I just entered fingers crossed.. hope I win.

If you just entered, you won’t win. Because *someone* is going to have had the thought of using one account to see what the questions are, work out the answers, and know exactly where to click to give the right answer, then using another account to enter.

Yeah probably it’s a shame really but there will always be cheaters..
