Come to Playfest this Saturday at PlayStation HQ

Playfest logo Primary

Hi there everybody. We have a very special event taking place at PlayStation HQ here in London this week. For the very first time, we’re opening our doors for Playfest – an all-ages event where we’ll be showcasing the rich variety of family-friendly gaming on PlayStation.

Sony staff, media and contest winners will be bringing their families along to our Soho office this Saturday, 13th July, to check out a wide range of titles, get involved in fun workshops and meet some top developers, including Knack creator Mark Cerny. Highlights include the opportunity to go hands-on with PlayStation 4, get an early look at forthcoming titles like Tearaway, Gran Turismo 6 and Puppeteer, and hear about some brand new games coming soon to PlayStation.

While we’d like to welcome all-comers, unfortunately we only have so much space. Duly, we’re offering five family tickets for the event to PlayStation Blog readers. To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is write an email to community_eu_competitions@scee.net using the subject line “Win a Place at PlayFest” and include the following information:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Email address
  • Contact telephone number
  • A list of up to three family members attending, along with their ages

Entries close at 23.59pm BST on 10th July 2013 – thereafter five winners will be selected at random and notified by email. See the full terms and conditions for additional details. Good luck!

I wouldn’t want to go with 3 family members, they don’t know their Nintendo from their Wii o.o I wanna go with friends! :o

I’d love to go! Super excited about both puppeteer and tearaway.

I’m flying over to London for the first time on Friday for a wedding. Would love to go to this but doubt I’d be able to. So much to do and see and most likely will get lost. :( In need of a free tour guide. Up for the job? Talking about new games would make a nice bonus.

Can I buy the tickets instead?
And where in London is it?

Alas, tickets aren’t on sale – this is your best bet if you want to come along. SCEE HQ is on Great Marlborough St, near Oxford Circus tube.

Aaaah no! I didn’t include the ages of the ‘companions’ upon writing my email! Is there a way I can re-submit my email, or send another one so my entry is not void? I really want to go and I don’t want a silly mistake like leaving some ages out to stop me from going!

Just got back after being lucky enough to get an invite. My son and I had a great time. Highlights were Puppeteer, Tearaway and Knack. We both loved Puppeteer. So colourful, vibrant and different. All 3 gone on pre order. Can’t believe only £22 on Amazon too :) Thanks for the tickets!
