Atomic Ninjas first gameplay trailer released

Hey! This is Jakub from Grip Games. A few weeks ago, I introduced you to our newest creation – Atomic Ninjas for PS3 and PS Vita. I’m back, and with me I bring the very first gameplay trailer showing you exactly what the game is all about!

This 2.5D competitive shooter/platformer is going to be one of the most insane experiences you’ll have on your PS3 or PS Vita! You’ll fight in arenas full of danger against crazed ninjas in intense, hilarious matches. In order to win, you’ll have to outsmart and outflank your opponents.

As you can see in the trailer, you can’t directly kill other ninjas (thanks to massive amounts of radiation, and their healthy lifestyle). However, there are dozens of conveniently placed hazards, like lasers, lava pits and fire that will do the job! You just need to find a way to get your opponents there and not become a roasted turkey yourself!

To help you in this task, we have added lots of weapons and special abilities. You’ll be able to become invisible, fly on a rocket, use telekinesis, become an unstoppable hulk for a few moments, for example. On top of the core combat, you’ll be capturing flags, defending hills and chasing treasures – alone, or in teams. There’s always something to do!

Atomic Ninjas will be out later this summer on PS3, followed shortly by the PS Vita version. We will be bringing more news and videos in the coming weeks, but if you want to see more right now, you can visit the official website, or join us on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates! See you again soon!

Kinda reminds me of worms, the ninja rope especially. Will splitscreen be 2 or 4 players?

Jakub Mikyska 22 July, 2013 @ 15:38

The split screen will have both 2-player and 4-player options. The more friends you have, the bigger TV you’ll need ;-)

Hey Jakub
Nice looks like an awesome game and alot of people will lightly be excited to play it. Is this only on PlayStation 3 and Vita, or is it for like Android, iOS, PC etc. Ethier way looks like a really cool game to play. ;)

Jakub Mikyska 22 July, 2013 @ 15:54

We are PlayStation exclusive, so no iOS, Android, PC, or “that other thing” at the moment.
The game may look simple, but it is packed with tons of visual effects and it runs at 60fps and 1080p. A tablet would probably melt in your hands if you tried running Atomic Ninjas on it ;-)

this looks so much fun. will wait for the vitaversion, unless you have a crossbuy thing going?

why can i not preorder this game – i want sony and you guys to know, that you have my money when the game comes out.

This looks like a fast paced, crazy version of Worms… with radioactive NINJA’S! Definitely will look for this on Vita when it’s out.

This game looks awesome… Been looking/waiting for a great party-multiplayer for a while!
Consider it bought:)

Cross buy??

Jakub Mikyska 22 July, 2013 @ 17:00

Yes :-)

Yes ;-) (sorry for the double post, the internet seems to hate me today)

A fun and good looking game. Will buy as soon as it comes out, still really enjoy foosball2012. Thanks.

Yep very nice that we’re getting new 4-player couch games with bot support. If you ever run out of ideas here are a few:
* Team / versus tank game. Buy weapons/upgrade tank:
– 1993:
– 2002-2010:
– First is much better as the gameplay is faster. Haven’t seen any indie developer working with a concept like this. No gameplay videos online.
* Top-down shooter with 4-player co-op and deathmatch with enemies:

Looks fun. Do you know what the price will be yet? And will it have more than just bronze and silver trophies?
I want golds or platinums to chase xD I’m a whore!

Jakub Mikyska 22 July, 2013 @ 19:50

I cannot tell you the final price yet, but it will definitely be under 10 euros.
There will be 1 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze trophies. I hope that’s enough for you ;-)
