PS Vita puzzler Open Me launches tomorrow

We hope you’re ready to think outside the box, because Open Me launches on PlayStation Store tomorrow!

We received an amazing response from everyone when we announced Open Me back in March, and we’ve been listening ever since.

First off, we created a trial version that you can download for free so you can get a feel for the game. Secondly, the trial version includes the multiplayer box mode, so grab your friends and take on the challenge together!

After you’ve taken Open Me for a test drive, purchase the full 12-pack game for €7.99/£6.49 , or one pack for €0.79/£0.65. If 12 packs are too many, and one just isn’t enough, we created a 6-pack bundle (24 boxes) for €4.49/£3.69.

We didn’t think so either, so we partnered with three teams in Japan Studio to create three collaboration boxes! If you purchase one pack or more, you’ll also get the Tokyo Jungle box, Toro’s box, and the Gravity Rush box for FREE.

The Smart AR in Open Me works especially well when you use the Original AR Marker. So if you have a printer nearby, print out the Original AR Marker, place it in front of your PS Vita, and watch as the boxes appear magically on your screen. If you have a magazine or a newspaper, that works too.

You think you have what it takes to open all the boxes? Be sure to swing by PlayStation Store tomorrow to check it out!

Sorry, but you have confused me. What’s in a pack? If I get the one-pack, do I get a set of boxes to unpack, or just that one? (except of course for the three free addon boxes)?
Does that mean there are fifteen (twelve paid and three gift) boxes?

Also, what does the trial version include? Does it come with a trial box/pack?

What if I have opened the boxes, does that mean game-over?

Sorry for so many questions, but I’m interested and intrigued by your game, and want to know all about it! :-)

Will it be available in the Portuguese Store?

Seems interesting but here’s two questions.

1. Does the game only work with that AR marker? I persume using those 6 cards will not work.

2. Really hate to go off topic but any info on Toro’s Friend Network coming out in Europe, you own Toro.

Does “the full 12-pack game for €7.99/£6.49” mean it’s like we would purchase a full game with no limitations? Thx for answer :)Will purchase if it’s a full game :)

@chrisboers

Hey mate, the most reasonable assumption would be that 1 pack (0.79€) consists of 4 boxes.

A 6-pack (4.49€) would have 24 boxes (6 x 4 = 24)and finally, the full 12-pack (7.99€) would – theoretically – have 48 boxes.

By buying any one pack you also receive the extra boxes (toro box etc..) for free so that strikes me as a nice little bonus ^^

Hope I could help, cheers :)

Very dramatic trailer for what it is…

And the award for “most disturbing trailer of 2013” goes to……

@THE_FORCE:

rather for the worst trailer of the year…

@dio_tsirigotis: Thanks for the answer. I don’t know how you came to the conclusion of 1 pack = 4 boxes, but it could very well be true. It would have been nice if Simon or any other person of SCE would have dropped by to answer questions. They didn’t back in March, and sadly again no official answers this time around either.

Still, I’m going to try out the trial, and maybe get myself a pack or two (or six) :-)

@chrisboers: Yeah, would be awesome if we could get an official answer but I guess we’ll have to wait till later on today :D

I’m definitely going for the trial though, although the trailer kinda freaked me out a little – now & back when I first saw it :P

Cheers mate!

So, once you open a box the game is over? XD. You’d better include a Box Editor and a Community Workshop like the one in Portal 2 on Steam, or this is gonna be veeeeery short. The idea is cool, though.
