ibb & obb arrives on PS3 today

ibb and obb - 07

We are very excited to announce ibb & obb is launching in Europe today, priced £7.99/€9.99.

The European release is special to us, because it means we can finally have our friends and families play the game we’ve been working on for the last couple of years.

From day one we built the design around the interaction between two players. ibb & obb is all about the joy of exploring a new world and solving puzzles together. Sharing the frustration when stuck and the relieved high five when you finally get the solution.

I hope many of you will enjoy playing ibb & obb at home with a friend, brother, sister, parent, spouse, lover, grandchild or online with a random stranger or PSN friend. When playing online you can discuss your strategies through voice chat. Or if you don’t feel like talking you can use the right stick to draw trails and sketch out your intentions.

The demo is free and will give you a good idea of what the game is about. Find a comfortable couch, grab a friend and give it a go.

What’s more, PlayStation Plus members get a 20% discount the first two weeks from launch.

Oh, come on, guys! Spelunky’s been released on the PC for almost a week now, and we don’t even have a release date, yet! D:

Can’t wait to play this gem & the PS+ discount makes it that much better ^^

My best mate and I have been looking forward to Ibb & Obb and I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait!

All the best Mr. Boeser! :)

It looks great, good luck with the sales!

Since it is two-player only it probably makes sense not to put it on the Vita. Finding another person with a Vita to play ad-hoc can be a challenge and then you’re left with hit or miss online. It does look like a game best suited for comfy-couch two-player.

Not really my cup of tea, in any case, but it looks like it could find an audience.

We decided to focus on one platform first. We chose PS3 because it seems the right match for a game that is best enjoyed together with a friend on a couch. Online it can be fun too, but nothing beats the physical high five after completing a difficult challenge.

Well tried out the demo as one single player.

Gosh, it’s difficult to co-ordinate the two sticks at the same time, it clearly looks 2-player based. But the game itself has a nice vibe and art (can’t speak much for music since I just got to listen one single track!).

Good luck with the game, I hope to give you a sale soon :)

We really made it for two player co-op. If you have a friend over you could try the demo again and feel the difference : )
