The FPS legend that started it all returns this May! Today we’re excited to announce that Wolfenstein: The New Order will arrive on both PS3 and PS4 on Friday, 23rd May, 2014. And while we’re not talking about the game yet, we’re excited to announce that with a pre-order of Wolfenstein: The New Order, you will be able to access the beta for the next DOOM game (details at

Wolfenstein marks the first Bethesda-published game to arrive on PlayStation 4 and will be available on PlayStation Store Day 1 for both PS4 and PS3. Developed by MachineGames, a studio comprised of a seasoned group of developers recognized for their work creating story-driven games, Wolfenstein: The New Order is a reimagining of the FPS franchise from id Software. The game offers a deep game narrative packed with action, adventure and first-person combat rendered in stunning detail with id Software’s id Tech 5 engine. And typical of a classic Wolfenstein game, expect plenty of hidden secrets, too.

Wolfenstein: The New Order once again centres around the series’ iconic war hero, B.J. Blazkowicz and this time faces alternate version of the 1960s in which the Nazis won World War II. As the only man capable of rewriting history, with the help of a small group of resistance fighters, infiltrate their most heavily guarded facilities, battle high-tech Nazi legions, and take control of super-weapons that have conquered the earth – and beyond. See the game in action on our official YouTube channel.

There’s plenty of new details to share Wolfenstein: The New Order , and we’ll be keeping you up to speed on BJ Blazkowicz new adventure here on PlayStation Blog.

That cover is so nice and clean. Love it.

Just give me an all multiplayer Wolfenstein like Enemy territory and I’m sold.

Like the look and idea of this one, plus the few vids i seen look very good, so if they represent what the games going to be, can’t wait.. Now i am well down for lots of in game secrets to be found, if done properly looking can be nearly as good as rest of experience, unfortunately i hate Having to look, ie find X amount of ? , to unlock a trophy, try as i might i Have to try and earn em, but stopping playing, be it travelling from a to b, or even middle of a firefight just to find no44 of 100 (usually) items is getting very old, why can’t all devs understand us on this?.

Wow so DooM 4 Is there somewhere.. Who is developing ID software??? Also looking forward for wolf, big fan.. Give us Quake 2 & 4 on playstation! Wolf new order runs on id tech5! Like Rage(my favourite game) Sweet! Did ID software helps working on wolf/doom???

Looks crazy, looking forward to this!

The trailer is PS3, right?

So excited for Doom, I hope it returns to what made the originals so brilliant. Dozens of enemies on screen at once and total mayhem.
