Sportsfriends is coming to PS3 and PS4 on 7th May!

New video showcases collection of off-the-wall local multiplayer gems

Hi everyone! We’re extremely pleased to announce that, after many months of hard work and playtesting, we’re finally done with Sportsfriends – our compendium of local multiplayer games!

We’re releasing Sportsfriends on PS3 and PS4 on 7th May in Europe and Australia (priced €13.99). That’s in less than two weeks!

We even made a new trailer!

Here’s a breakdown of features by platform:

Both PS3 and PS4 versions include:

  • Four award-winning multiplayer games
  • No-bulls**t – local multiplayer in its purest form
  • Rich variety of modes and gameplay settings
  • Build and save your own Hokra arenas
  • Optional: PlayStation Move motion controller support for Johann Sebastian Joust
  • Some of the weirdest Trophies on PSN
  • Tons of secrets we can’t talk about

PS4 version features:

  • DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller support for all the games
  • Play JS Joust with up to four players
  • Play JS Joust with the DUALSHOCK 4, making special use of its speaker and LED

PS3 version features:

  • DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller support for all the games
  • Play JS Joust with up to seven players
  • Play JS Joust with the DUALSHOCK 3
  • Load your own music files into JS Joust!

As a special treat, if you purchase Sportsfriends on PS3 you will also be entitled to download the PS4 version for free.

We literally couldn’t have made Sportsfriends without all our enthusiastic Kickstarter backers and fans. We’re super proud of what we’ve made, and we don’t think it’ll disappoint. We hope you check it out! If you like local multiplayer, this it the game (or rather, games) for you!

I remember watching folks at GameSpot play JS Joust a long time ago. Hilarious video. I may grab this when I have some friends over in future. Thanks guys!

Good stuff. One question, will I need the ps4 camera for Joust? It’s make or break for me. I’m guessing no based on the fact the orb would be potentially obscured. But I don’t know if Sony mandate the camera when using Move.

no it only uses the motion sensors, no camera needed

I don’t get this. LOL!
But it’s definitelly worth a try I guess.

You’ve got me with “Some of the weirdest Trophies on PSN”;)
Seriously, though, this game looks sick!

TheAwsomeGamer76 26 April, 2014 @ 00:21

Looks intresting might try it with my friends.

The text makes this sound interesting, then I watched the trailer and was confused. What is this? It’s kind of hard to tell seeing as there’s only about two seconds of gameplay shown at a time before the camera goes back to the people playing it.

Are there any plans for a proper trailer that shows the actual game rather than the people playing it? I prefer to know at least something about the games I’m buying before I put the cash down.

Looks booring.

some gameplay footage would be nice

Эта дрянь вместо “Праздник Спорта” ?! ((( Где нормальные игры под Move которые нужно было всего-то портировать с PS3 на PS4 пусть даже не улучшая! А это, простите, какой-то шлак! (

*puts 2 thumbs up* oooh! Sports friend!

Where is all that free GOW Ascension DLC gone?

Michael_Lund 28 April, 2014 @ 15:09

We were made aware of when the GoW Ascension DLC would be free here:

Over 40 pieces of DLC was free for a whole week. It’s time for all the whiners (not necessarily you, d-gal) to acknowledge that it’s your own fault if you forgot to download it. Say thanks for once and start to give credit where it’s due. If you would like it to be free again then ask politely. Where are your manners, guys?

On topic: I’m really looking forward to try Joust. I’m a big fan of the little Danish developer Die Gute Fabrik.

Damn my procrastination. I thought it was 2 weeks :(
