Lemmings Touch launches on PS Vita tomorrow

The much-loved action strategy series returns this week

Lemmings Touch launches on PS Vita tomorrow! You’ll be able to download it for €9.99/£7.99 after PlayStation Store updates tomorrow afternoon. Lemmings Touch is the first Lemmings game that we have designed specifically for PS Vita, marking a new chapter in the history of this famous franchise. Whether you are new to the Lemmings chaos or have played the previous games, Lemmings Touch is the perfect way to test your puzzle solving skills.

Help guide as many Lemmings as you can while avoiding the obstacles and perils abound through 100 fiendishly puzzling, highly detailed themes tasking you to save the critters in sugary sweet Candy Land, Space, Ancient Egypt, Crystal Caves, and in the depths of Fiery Hell.

New puzzles and hazards have been devised to test your limits, and as the name suggests, the intuitive new touch and swipe controls put the fate of the loveable Lemmings literally at your fingertips. YIPPEE!

There are lots of new ways to play, including new skills to help the Lemmings make their way to the end of each stage. You’ll clear the way by moving platforms, pressing switches, aiming cannons and trampolines, and more.

In addition to completing levels and earning Trophies, there are objective-based challenges throughout the game. Completing these will unlock lots of crazy costumes for your Lemmings.

Beware a new type of Lemming — not all Lemmings play nice! Mischievous Lemmings aren’t to be saved; if they reach the level exit, then it’s game over. You must decide how to get rid of these devious Lemmings while saving the good ones. Good luck!

Not long to wait now, can’t wait until you guys get to play it.

Games seems so strange, are there no jobs? I only saw the builder and the stopper but no jobs bar. Also demo ?

PMurphy1978 27 May, 2014 @ 16:42

The eight classic Lemmings roles are present, but as with previous Lemmings games not all skills are available on all levels.

Thanks for the reply. I also suppose no demo since you didn’t specific.
I love lemming, still got the psp one in my vita, I will buy it.
My major concern now is how easy or hard will be to select the lemming with my big fingers :P

PMurphy1978 27 May, 2014 @ 17:15

Not sure on a demo. You select the Lemming with your finger, but you can use the D-Pad to refine which Lemming you want to use if you make a mistake. :)

Only 10$ in NA, but 13,63$ in Europe. Pass.

SGTSTEELFACE 27 May, 2014 @ 16:37

Look i get that there is a general consensus of unhappiness with prices in Europe and I whole heatedly agree there is a problem but its a problem everywhere the whole way of living is more expensive and as a result so is our consumer goods.

SGTSTEELFACE 27 May, 2014 @ 16:45

to be honest where we get really get cheated is sales thats where you should target

So go live in NA then.

You’re being offered a fair price for the economy that you live in, including taxes. You cannot expect businesses operating in your region to operate as if they are MAGICALLY in another region.

The fact that 9 people (as of typing this) have liked your comment, worries me. It shows there is a general lack of understanding on this subject.

You’re not going to be charged foreign prices, because SCEE as well as the publishers and distributors (and physical retailers) in your region cannot pay their workers foreign wages, and they cannot operate their business on foreign costs.

Do you not understand economics? If you want US prices make a US account or better still, do us all a favor and move there!
Do you complain at garages when you put petrol in your car? How about when you buy some jeans? Didn’t think so why do it here?

I know it’s called Lemmings Touch but are there alternative controls? Touch only is a deal-breaker for me

zalwelgoedgaan 27 May, 2014 @ 16:36

Do you not understand the name “Lemmings Touch”? If you don’t want touch controls, then just buy an old skool Lemmings game or better still, do us all a favor and don’t buy a system that supports touch controls!

PMurphy1978 27 May, 2014 @ 16:41

There are a few physical controls but you have to physically select the Lemming you want to use and the task you assign. The D-Pad cycles through available Lemmings.

The touch mechanic works very well and suits the PSVita’s touch screen. We have designed it to make the interface as easy to pick and play as possible. This really adds to a new experience to a Lemmings game.

Finally a Lemmings game for my Vita! I recognize the music in the trailer from the PSP game, loved the soundtrack on that one!

yippee :)

That main screenshot reminds me of the Malebolgia scenes from the Spawn movie.
