Deadpool comes to Zen Pinball 2 next week

A brand new table featuring Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth

After months of coercion, threats, and highly inappropriate late night texts (seriously, Wade, how can you really expect anyone to physically be able to do that with a duck!?), Zen Studios have agreed to create a virtual pinball table for the one and only Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. Coming to Zen Pinball 2 later this summer, the table will offer exciting pinball action, true-to-the-character gameplay, and may actually afford the team at Zen some peace and quiet when it releases.

In all seriousness (well, some seriousness, at least), Zen Studios is extremely excited to be working with the fine folks at Marvel to bring Deadpool fans a pinball experience that is as true to the character as you can get. Featuring the supreme voice talents of the one and only Nolan North as Deadpool, this table will capture the acerbic, fourth wall-crushing attitude of the character as well as feature supporting characters from the Deadpool universe, including Blind Al, Weasel, Lil’ Deadpool, and other characters from Deadpool’s universe. Please humour the Merc with a Mouth by watching the trailer below, will ya?

Deadpool’s Zen Pinball 2 debut will feature a dynamic table that will switch at his whim, quick-time events, a “Blind Mode” courtesy of Blind Al in which only the ball, flippers and target lanes are visible, and even a mode where the player can help Deadpool take down some of his most nefarious enemies: raging comic book fans!

Deadpool will be coming to Zen Pinball 2 next week, so dust off your dancing shoes and synchronize your watches, because it’s about to go down!

Hard to follow that comment, looks good, wasn’t expecting it. On to The Walking Dead.

cant wait to play it , thanks for giving us all these awesome pinball tables in 3D , when playing em i feel like back in the days in the arcade 😀

Were there any free tables for Zen Pinball, to first test the general feel of pinball on the console?

    Rochala 17 June, 2014 @ 6:35 pm

Most of them, if not all of them, have trial locked versions. You test them for some time and when the time ends, you keep playing without getting score until you lose the ball.

Also pretty sure Sorcerer’s Lair is completely free on PS4. One of my favourites. 😀

You beat me to it, Rochala 🙂 All tables have a free demo, which is time-/score-limited. And I believe they are all cross-buy too, though that’s getting more complicated now with PS3, Vita and PS4.

Bobby, can you clarify the cross-buy status please? It is not at all clear from the PSN Store.

    Rochala 17 June, 2014 @ 6:53 pm

Not sure how cross buy works for it, but they dont have cross save and not all of the tables are available for ps4

    QuietlyWrong 18 June, 2014 @ 9:39 am

Cross-save instructions: Buy the tables for PS3 or PS Vita and you can download them on any of the three systems (PS3, PSV and – if available – PS4).

Not all tables are available on PS4 so if you’re buying for a PS4, check to see if the table is available for the PS4 before you buy the PS3/Vita version.

If you buy a table’s PS4 version, you ONLY get the PS4 version, so DON’T DO IT unless you know for certain you’ll never ever get a PS3 or Vita. You clairvoyant, you.

You mean cross-buy, rather than cross-save. I didn’t know the twist with PS4 tables – thanks for the info.

    @Bobby Loertscher
The cross-buy status needs to be made a lot clearer to your customers. The PSN Store ought to have an accurate way of indicating the cross-buy platforms for particular items, but failing that Zen’s product details should explicitly include this information as it is a significant selling point. Currently, even your fans are unsure of the situation, which isn’t good marketing.

    QuietlyWrong 18 June, 2014 @ 9:42 pm

Yes, sorry, I did indeed mean cross buy. Thanks for knowing what I meant, even if the message got lost between my mind and my fingers. 🙂

im sick of seeing these tables get announced, just make a complete edition and be done with it!

    QuietlyWrong 18 June, 2014 @ 9:39 am

There will never be a complete edition as long as they keep making tables. 🙂

Looks fantastic Bobby. Can’t wait to pick it up next week!

Nice to see what looks like another fun table coming to the PS Store for Zen Pinball 2, but, what I’d really like to see is Sony UK/EU update “The Pinball Arcade” on the PS Store, there are tables that have been out for months now on PS3/PS4 in the US, are we ever going to get them released over here???? it’s getting quite ridiculous now to say the least.

CookieMonsterES 18 June, 2014 @ 11:35 am   10

Bobby, would it be possible to see some of the previous Marvel tables discounted at some point?

Fatal1ty_93_RUS 18 June, 2014 @ 12:27 pm   11

Will this table be also available in Marvel Pinball? And, how many new Trophies can we expect? Two? Three?
