Great new offers/deals! Thanks! I am proud to be a european sony customer (with a US acount for the $60 games)

You might not want to be too vocal about that. Don’t know if Sony is cool with that…

    SquidInvasion 13 August, 2014 @ 2:15 pm

@moarage – If SCEE sees it is okay to treat their customers badly by inflating prices, delay game releases, not have the same amount of games available and ignore complaints then why not voice your discontent by being open about how you switched to a US PSN account and get better treatment by SCEA.

Also why wouldn’t Sony be cool with it since they are making money regardless.

Some good offers there! Any chance of Killzone Mercenary going on sale like it was at Christmas ?

Split/Second discount finally 🙂 One of the best/most fun arcade racers Its by Disney. Get it everyone if you didnt already 🙂

Soul Sacrifice, God of War and Mortal Kombat are all quite tempting. It’s a shame not to see Borderlands 2 or Danganronpa, but maybe too soon. Good sale, all in all.

Shadiochao 13 August, 2014 @ 1:08 pm   5

Will there be a batch of DLC in the final batch? Games are great and all, but large DLC sales seem to be few and far between these days.

    Jawad Ashraf 13 August, 2014 @ 1:23 pm

Sadly there won’t be much in the name of DLC other than the bits already mentioned e.g. Bioshock Infinite. Sorry 🙁

agreed I would really like it if they would put Kingdom of Amalur dlc on sale. The game has been out for years and obviously they work out deals with EA I really don’t understand how they can’t secure a discount on the dlc. US PSN had it on sale nearly a year ago why can’t Europe

    fps_d0minat0r 13 August, 2014 @ 1:28 pm

I agree. They rarely put DLC’s on sale. They should have a DLC deal of the week alongside the normal deal of the week.

You know what DLC is never going to be on sale? TLOU Left Behind. I’ve been waiting since it released for it to go on sale.

    JamesHuntPL 14 August, 2014 @ 9:03 am

I’m waiting to see Left Behind on sale but propably it won’t ever happen 🙁

INS1GHTFUL 13 August, 2014 @ 1:08 pm   6

woo hoo! soul sacrifice delta on sale! thats good news. It was a bit overpriced i felt given i bought the original at retail.
i can really recommend luftrausers and steamworld dig to people. they are awesome games.

THUNDERCAT1973 13 August, 2014 @ 1:08 pm   7

Once again nothing for me that I didn’t already get in other sales for cheaper, was excited when I saw gundam reborn, but no such look it’s only a DLC pack

I bought Gundam Reborn on release (obviously a budget release as it was around £25). I didn’t realise Gundam had that much dlc

One error in Mortal Kombat

Mortal Kombat™

some good deals!, but its not comparable with what NA gets! Dragonball vita $7.50??? WHY? common some horrible expensive deals in here yo,
PEACE

I actually would have liked the sales on Zuma games ($4.99) and Mamorukun Curse! ($2.50 with plus discount).

Is Mamorukun Curse! even on our store? Not enough shumps/bullet hell/ bullet grazer games (hint hint)

THUNDERCAT1973 13 August, 2014 @ 1:11 pm   10

Jawad will one piece pirate warriors 2 be in the last batch of titles?

DarkArchoNx66 13 August, 2014 @ 1:11 pm   11

Well, nothing for me. Most of them I already own. Some others I haven’t bother playing, even thought they were given with plus. Disappointing sale all in all..

One or two may show up. Come back on the 13th to check which ones.

are you kidding me??? why did you lie to me???????

He didn’t lie. Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 is in the sale. Calm down and read through a list thoroughly before you comment.

AnBPiEsse3 13 August, 2014 @ 1:13 pm   13

I recommend Soul Sacrifice Delta. The complete version of Soul Sacrifice.

fenderman_89 13 August, 2014 @ 1:14 pm   14

SOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUULLLL SACRIIIFIIIIIIIICEEEEEEE!!!! 😀
Thx a lot Sony guys!!! 🙂

PS: still angry for the DD only release though.

Faustofausto 13 August, 2014 @ 1:16 pm   15

Hmm, not bad. Wolf Among Us, SS Delta, Child of Light, maybe AC4: Freedom Cry for me.
The Freedom Cry is the standalone game or the DLC? I think it’s the standalon version. You should put the DLC on sale.

THUNDERCAT1973 13 August, 2014 @ 1:16 pm   16

As usual the EA prices are a joke

Danterikxx 13 August, 2014 @ 1:16 pm   17

oh, there’s star wars. my bad

There’s not a lot of compelling titles in this update like in last weeks PS4 update. But I will probably check out Cel Damage HD (seeing as how it is Cross-buy so I can play it on my PS4 and Vita) as well as Luftrausers. Have to say that about the summer sale overall, the PS4 got the most compelling sales for me.

Some great deals here. Thanks for upping your game with this batch guys.

I’m a bit concerned because there are a few PS3 games in there that are likely candidates to come free to PS Plus in a month or two’s time (Splinter Cell, Saints Row, Rayman etc), can you give us any assurance the newer titles won’t be in PS Plus soon?

I’ve been burned in the past by sales doing this before, so i might have to stick to the older titles if this is the case.

    Jawad Ashraf 13 August, 2014 @ 1:27 pm

Our aim is to try and avoid putting titles in Plus that have just had a sizeable discount in the last few months at least. As far as I am aware these won’t be entering Plus but as always, confirmation for each month comes seperately at the end of the month.

    DarkArchoNx66 13 August, 2014 @ 1:36 pm

Don’t listen to them and try and hold off from making any rush decisions.. I know it may look like a good deal, but remember that’s not always the case. Recently I bought Nba 2K14 which was on sale as sale of the week, and 2 weeks later it came on plus. There are many people who have had same experiences.. In my case, I don’t believe in confidences, but it’s my mistake for buying something I shouldn’t have, and it was obviously and without a shred of doubt, a well planned marketing scam..

    DarkArchoNx66 13 August, 2014 @ 1:41 pm

We seriously need an edit button.. It sucks when auto spell plays a trick on you..

    TVsportsCOD 13 August, 2014 @ 2:05 pm

“Our aim is to try and avoid putting titles in Plus that have just had a sizeable discount in the last few months at least.” Really Jawad? You could have fooled me.

    TrueMurton 13 August, 2014 @ 7:00 pm

At least one of these games will hit Plus before Driveclub is released. There’s no communication between the people doing sales and the people doing Plus. Lego Batman 2 on Vita, 75% off in the Batman Anniversary sale. Two weeks later it was free on Plus. Before that, Strider was 25% off in a deal of the week, the following week, free on Plus. NBA 2k14, deal of the week, free a fortnight later.

They might “aim” not to do this, but they sure do it a lot. It’s like a US missile strike, they don’t “aim” for the civilians, but they’re the ones that get hit.

    solarwind12 13 August, 2014 @ 7:23 pm

Sadly the missile comparison makes sense, though the Israeli’s look to be doing exact opposite. aim at civvies and hope theres some baddies amongst em, btw what is a rocket?. as in a missile is i expect area leveller, what amount of damage do rockets actually do.

    TrueMurton 14 August, 2014 @ 9:16 am

    @Solarwind12

The Israel situation is complicated. You’re right, they’re deli stately targeting civilians, but because Palestine isn’t officially recognised as a sovereign state theh technically arent civilians. Also the UN can’t intervene because the US have a veto on the security council.

In military terms, the difference between a missile and a rocket is that a missile is guided, a rocket it point and shoot the actual weapon, the explosive can be the same. Makes a huge difference where civilian casualties are involved as you can blame guidance systems or inaccurate intelligence if you use a missile whereas a rocket you can actually *see* the target and have to aim so it’s a deliberate strike.

Any plans for :
– Dante’s Inferno(for PS3) and Dishonored get available in russian store ?
– Persona 4 Arena or it’s “ultimate” version get back?

Chaos Code still not available in Russia.

LordBeloved 13 August, 2014 @ 1:18 pm   21

I think it’s kind of unfair that Steamworld Dig now has a 20% discount, whereas last week it was 10%. Seeing the title is cross-buy, it’s the exact same game.

I’m aware it’s just a €0,50 difference, but it just feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

Roxas598 13 August, 2014 @ 1:18 pm   22

Oh come on battle of z is $9.99 and has a plus discount to make it less in the US why do you keep screwing us over?

any chance of adding SCE psp games to the sale? specifically syphon filter logan’s shadow

CShasuki 13 August, 2014 @ 1:20 pm   24

How do I buy a game permanently when I already own through PS+. I want to purchase bioshock infinite but only gives me the option to download.

S-o-h-a-i-l 13 August, 2014 @ 1:21 pm   25

Since Child of Light is cross-buy between PS3 & PS4, does that mean both versions are on sale ?

ste_the_legend 13 August, 2014 @ 1:25 pm   26

That’s more like it 🙂

Is Child of Light cross buy with the PS4?
Any chance of Galaga Legions DX ever getting a discount??

MegastarMATT 13 August, 2014 @ 1:27 pm   28

Week 3 and unfortunately still nothing for me.
Was hoping for discounts on Grid 2 dlc and Sound Shapes dlc. Also a discount on Resistance Burning Skies as it has been reduced before.
Fingers crossed for next week.

Does the BioShock Infinite Season Pass include Burial at Sea 1 & 2?

    LordBeloved 13 August, 2014 @ 1:33 pm

This is the whole point of the season pass…

Yes. Burail at Sea episodes 1 and 2, Clash in the Clouds and a weapon.

Thanks, thought it would but had to be sure as I know of instances where some dlc isn’t included in a season pass

    FitzYarox 13 August, 2014 @ 2:20 pm

Is there going to be a part 3 of burial at sea?

    KaneTheGoth 13 August, 2014 @ 3:46 pm

    No part 3 plans, sadly.

The Season Pass doesn’t include everything; a couple of packs including the Industrial Reward Pack isn’t included.

ShivaRpgN 13 August, 2014 @ 1:30 pm   30

Sly collection is mentioned for the PS3 only. If you buy it, you get the vita version as well?

    LordBeloved 13 August, 2014 @ 1:33 pm

    Yes.

    ShivaRpgN 13 August, 2014 @ 1:37 pm

    Thank you!

I bought Sly PS3 digital and got the vita ones. That is unless they have changed that. It might say in information on the game page in the store.

    ShivaRpgN 13 August, 2014 @ 1:39 pm

Yeah, I think it’s mentioned. Still, I was surprised Jawad didn’t mention this for the vita owners out there.

That’s possibly because the PS3 versions are the better versions. Jak & Daxter, also cross-buy didn’t run well on the vita, Sly seemed to run a bit better. It’s not unusual for them to forget to mention things like cross-buy.

Would you be so kind to discount the Kingdom of Amalur dlc-s?

ghettokid1987 13 August, 2014 @ 1:33 pm   32

Dante’s Inferno(for PS3) and Dishonored are not available in russian store.

The price is good, I’d like to buy them, but they are not available.

Hey Jawad, I didn’t get this quite through but are you updating the summer sale each week for the rest of August? Does this mean that there are two updates left of this sale? Also, will next weeks sale be updating the PS4 games, and the week after the PS3/Vita games? Just wanted to make sure, thanks in advance.

    Jawad Ashraf 13 August, 2014 @ 1:41 pm

This is the last update and will end on 27th August.
All PS4 content ends 20th August.

    TVsportsCOD 13 August, 2014 @ 2:18 pm

“This is the last update”. I’m sorry to hear that. I really wanted to binge on some PS3 and Vita games, but the Summer Sale IMO has been a bit weak TBH. Looks like I’ll move on to the current gen sooner than I had expected. Thanks for trying though Jawad and co.

    Noraneko_Vel 13 August, 2014 @ 5:16 pm

    That’s extremely disappointing.
I hope we’ll get the weekly sales back next week, because the Summer Sales have been a joke for Vita fans.

Cyba_Cowboy 13 August, 2014 @ 1:35 pm   34

Mortal Kombat is free (according to your post)?

I’m sold!

But wait – the link directs me to a “page not found” error, when I access it with my browser…

Damn, and I’ve been waiting for this for so long!

Anyone that’s played Soul Sacrifice Delta, how much new content is in it or is it just Soul Sacrifice with a couple of new quests?

cheers

    ShivaRpgN 13 August, 2014 @ 1:38 pm

Apparently, it adds many things. Balances, new gameplay customization options, graphics slightly better. From what I’ve read, it’s worth getting for the ones who played SS before and liked.

    @ShivaRpgN

    Thanks for the info

    uberxtechnic 13 August, 2014 @ 2:57 pm

Aside from the new bosses, offerings and maps, the vanilla bosses have altered and new attacks.
Maps have events such as certain paths becoming blocked, the ground splitting and dropping you into a different area etc. which can add a nice twist to the battle.

The customisation is expanded a fair amount with the unlockable accessories and raiment mix-and-match feature. One thing that disappointed me is the white, black and gold colours aren’t as special any more. You don’t obtain them by defeating x amount of archfiends, but simply buy them from the Bazaar. The gold colour also looks worse than in SS.

Alice’s Maze can last hours depending on how far you want to go, and rewards you with titles, clothing and points for your faction, which you use in the faction leaderboards to try win items weekly depending on your position and where your faction places.

Rumours add bonuses when equipped, such as weaken fiends/archfiends, gain more EXP etc. which makes levelling to 100 over and over easy.
Once you max out your levels you can transmute, which gives you the choice of a Heart Sigil. For example, if you use weapon magic a lot, you can choose the corresponding heart sigil, which will give you +100% weapon attack when equipped. There are constraints, though, as each faction is limited to what heart sigil they can choose (e.g. Avalon can choose the arm heart sigil, but if you’re in Grim or Sanctuarium you can’t.)
Every time you transmute, you can choose the same sigil again to boost it by 5% each time, or choose a different sigil for a different offering type. You can transmute up to 99 times and each heart sigil has ten levels.

This ended up being a much longer post than I expected, but I hope I didn’t ramble too much.

    @uberxtechnic

Seriously cheers for all the information.

I’m working on the black, white and gold rainments now and of course the endless farming of essences for my sigils. Can understand putting in hours to acquire something then to find later the devs decide its something that can be bought. I’m guessing that as we can use Soul Sacrifice saves the special clothes carries over

Factions are like online guilds or clans?

I avoided fighting Magusar for days thinking it was going to be a hellish battle, in the end it was like Morrowind end boss except Magusar wasn’t skinny and wearing a thong.

Once again many thanks will definitely have to purchase it now

Tuulenpoika 13 August, 2014 @ 1:36 pm   36

YES! YES! Breath of Fire 3, finally! Huge thanks for this!

Zoharthefunky 13 August, 2014 @ 1:42 pm   37

Looks like i’m getting ground zeroes, couldn’t bring myself to pay £20 for it given it’s length

Terribell 13 August, 2014 @ 1:44 pm   38

This week Portugal and Spain get Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on PS3 with a huge discount but still nothing on the PS4?
Are we only supposed to have PS3s on these countries?
It really is not easy to understand the logic behind this decision…

    Totally agree with you.

    sharktejo 14 August, 2014 @ 3:50 am

I was just thinking the same thing, why the hell the PS4 version doesn’t have a discount.
I have PS3 and PS4 but want to play Ground Zeroe on the PS4, Sony is the worst in this things, xbox as the same sales for the entire planet, but Sony selects them.
I’m completely disapointed with this crap, can’t wait to get my Xbox One next month.

hitman_stephen 13 August, 2014 @ 1:46 pm   39

As long as if its Vita compatible – Breath of Fire 3 – for me.
😉

markopolouk 13 August, 2014 @ 1:48 pm   40

Good sale! Any chance of discounts on the individual Sly games and not just the trilogy? I’m only missing the second one.

Is the Japanese voice over dlc for Dynasty Warrios 8 XLcoming out today as well?

supersmith2500 13 August, 2014 @ 1:55 pm   42

Why is Ride to Hell Retribution on sale? Do you realise how glitchy and broken this mess this? I hate when broken games go on sale. 😐

I hate when broken games get released as is often the case with western titles. They just expect that people who play video games should be unpaid testers. Day 1 update files just proves the games are rushed out with minimal quality assurance

    TrueMurton 13 August, 2014 @ 7:07 pm

It’s not that broken. It at least passed certification, unlike say, Fallout 3 or Skyrim which are genuinely broken by Sony’s own definition and were still released. Or Mercenary Kings which also failed but was waved through as a Plus title.

None of those games received the required fixes to pass certification either by the way. They’re still officially non-working games by Sony’s definition.

dark_angel69 13 August, 2014 @ 1:55 pm   43

Nothing in this sale for me again. 🙁 I really need some new games after getting the platinum on TLoU for the second time. If only Destiny could hurry up!

Hi Jawad, I have problem with Mafia II Additional Content Bundle, I can’t buy it, the store shows that it’s not available for purchase because i already own Mafia II (from PS+). Is there a way to fix this, please. Thank you. 🙂

    fps_d0minat0r 13 August, 2014 @ 3:11 pm

I own mafia II from PS+, but I just bought the DLC without any problem.

It seems the problem is in CZ store only. For several months!!!
I’ve contacted PS support in june or july, been redirected to three different EU countries via email (filled standard PS Support form -> got email form Belgium saying “contact UK”), so I wrote an email to UK -> You have a problem, then call UK, spent nearly an hour waiting for the operator in UK, then talked to Jen from the IT Crowd, hm, hm, I don’t know, what to do… oh, wait, you’re from CZ, then contact CZ support. OK, I’ve called CZ support just to hear that they would pass it to UK support… Nice.
During last sale, the moderator here at forum replied, that he would look into it. Obviously nothing happened.
    Thank you, Sony!

LordBeloved 13 August, 2014 @ 1:58 pm   45

Took the risk and bought the God of War Collection, hopefully it won’t be on PS+ any time soon. (I’m looking at your comment Jawad! 😉 )

sailorcuecas 13 August, 2014 @ 2:04 pm   46

Nice Breath of Fire is the only game I want and it appears to not be available here.

XDerKleineX 13 August, 2014 @ 2:06 pm   47

What exactly is “Ace Combat Joint Assault + Ace Combat Infinity DLC”? I mean, it doesn’t make sense to have a PSP game bundled with DLC for a PS3 game with this bundle being listed as PS Vita only.

I already own Ace Combat Joint Assault, so I’d like to know if there’s content I’m missing for it or something.

Ace Combat is not a Vita game so it shouldn’t be in the Vita section.

@Jawad
Any chance we can see The Walking Dead: 400 days discounted anytime soon? =D

    X_Weapon 13 August, 2014 @ 2:35 pm

They don’t want to discount it in any way :\

    fps_d0minat0r 13 August, 2014 @ 3:07 pm

Its sad that people who bought the original walking dead (first 5 episodes) have to pay £4 for 400 days, but they sell the complete edition every other month for £6.

Thats why I havent bought season 2 or wolf among us yet… because I dont want to pay almost the same amount for a last special episode if they decide to make one.

    UK_Rocklance 13 August, 2014 @ 4:42 pm

What are you talking about? The season pass that they sell ‘every other month for £6’ only includes the 5 episodes of season 1. The 400 Days DLC is never included in any season pass (there is no ‘complete edition’ with 5+1 episodes) and has always been sold separately, and never discounted in any sale.

    fps_d0minat0r 13 August, 2014 @ 5:47 pm

There is on vita, and it sells for the same price as the PS3 one without 400 days.

I dont expect to get it for free, but its never on sale.

I know it doesnt sound like a big saving anyway, but if I paid full price for every small DLC I bought, it would add up to a lot.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about. I bought Walking Dead on Vita with season pass and I got 5 episodes plus the 400 days bonus content. What’s exactly the problem?

    Bahamut_MW 14 August, 2014 @ 11:01 am

    @Sohus
The Ps3 season pass doesn’t give you 400 days dlc
