New trailer for PS3/PS4/PS Vita action strategy game GUNS UP!

Take a closer look at Valkyrie’s new title, ahead of the forthcoming beta

Greetings, Commander. Welcome to GUNS UP!, our free-to-play action strategy game for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita that puts you in the role of a General deploying units to the battlefield and working your way toward annihilating your enemy and destroying their base.

This is no walk in the park, though – you’re going to need to manage your resources to ensure that you can send the right troops for the right job. Snipers, heavy machine gunners, RPG carriers, armored vehicles, and even air strikes are there as part of your strategy, so choose wisely. You’ll also use your resources to build and protect your base from other players’ invasions.

Although GUNS UP! is our first full title, we’re no stranger to the industry. We’ve spent the last decade providing high quality art work for other developers on titles such as inFAMOUS Second Son and League of Legends. We’re really excited to bring our vision of action and strategy together in a way that feels fresh and unique to PlayStation gamers. Since the announcement at E3, we’ve been working hard on the beta version and can’t wait to share the experience!

GUNS UP! is coming later this year and will be Cross-Play across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. Stay tuned for details on the upcoming GUNS UP! beta and try out your skills as a Commander!

The problem for me is the f2P part, almost it always means that there are going to be pay walls or pay to win, but it looks fun, so i’ll wait for more info about in game shopping. :)

Great another pay to win game that advertises as “free to play” but it never is.

So, free-to-play General Chaos from SEGA MD II. Okay. Will try.

Dude your “Shift” and “Insert” keys must be almost worn out or do you use “CTRL” and “V” all the time? Either way your bank balance must be taking a hammering with all these games you buy.

“This is no walk in the park, though – you’re going to need to manage your resources”

… and I assume thats where the microtransactions come in?

Or pay £4.99 for some Gold Coins.

With F2P there should be an option to unlock all features for say £10 and then it becomes a full unlocked game. I’d go for that if the game is good enough.

That said, this game looks good enough for a download and try, least its not some Japanese pron rpg that makes no sence.

Well, i think Japanese RPG games are beautiful in every aspect… *Just saying :3 *

Does anyone know when this will be released. It looks like a lot of fun. :)

Looks good, but agree with the Free-to-play/Pay-to-win mentality. I simply won’t even download as it supports the mentality that we (gamers) actually want these type of games, which we don’t. It’s a shame really, as if this was put on with a full unlock (as suggested by Brianmini) I would happily pay a flat rate for it.

I don’t understand the F2P games at all. I would much jusy pay for the full game and be done with it!

okay so the general worry is that this free to play is gonna be like almost every other free to play by having to pay for everythin else except the basics. but what im hoping for is the developer to rad these and realise nobody really likes having to pay to win. i hope he deals to that and if tbey want payment stuff make pay for extra not exected content nobody want to pay for what they should already get in game

Looks really good! Can we get a fixed release date?
From what I’ve seen it looks ready.
