So many good games ๐Ÿ™‚ but, looks like the time for Flow a d Flower to be add to the collection have come.

    andrewsqual 24 September, 2014 @ 1:15 pm

You won’t be disappointed, plus you get them on the 3 consoles. I was ready to pay for Flower again for PS4 and Vita but then didn’t have to ๐Ÿ™‚ I even have the Journey Collector’s Edition on disc too, thatgamecompany is THAT worthy of it. Can’t wait for the next game Abzu.

    thepeppermintape 24 September, 2014 @ 1:19 pm

Same here. Also tempted by super stardust but not sure I can afford the price…….

…….of time lost in the black hole of addiction!

    NorthernFusion 24 September, 2014 @ 1:26 pm

I already have the collection on disc, tempted to put down a fiver to have two of them on PS4!

Can someone please explain why this is still a problem for PlayStation?

On Xbox Live it has been possible to upgrade child (sub) accounts to adult (master) accounts. Ever since the launch of the PSN in 2006, minors have been obligated to create a sub account. It is impossible to upgrade a sub account to a master account. The only way is to create a new account, meaning you will lose all your purchased games/dlc, your PLUS game library, any running subscription and your trophies. When will this upgrade come to PSN?

Why are sub accounts so restricted? You can’t add a credit card, you can’t add funds to your account, you can’t use any social features, you can’t use the share button on the PS4 (one of the selling points of the new console), you can’t link twitch/ustream accounts and live stream your gameplay (another selling point of the new console), you can’t even link a stupid facebook account (EVERYTHING on the web allows to link your facebook account).

This idea has more than 10.000 backers on http://share.blog.us.playstation.com/ While ideas like themes for PS4 with only 1.000 backers get priority.

Thanks for listening to your community, PlayStation, this problem is only 8 years old.

Because if system is designed in flawed manner, fixing bugs post implementation is extremely costly and work intensive.

And since Sony can’t really afford to throw money around, I’m guessing non-essential features are put on back burner.

I understand Sony has some financial issue, like everyone else in the world. But is that a good reason to ignore your fanbase? Obligating people to repurchase everything, just to use all the features of your new console doesn’t make sense.

I would like to see an official response of PlayStation here, are you consindering this upgrade option or are you ignoring the giant elephant in the room? If this won’t change, at least add a giant disclaimer when creating a sub-account that states that all purchases will be lost if the person wants a master account and that sub-account has some major restrictions on PS4 en VITA.

This is not an ‘non-essential’ issue. There is now a whole generation of kids who’ve grown into adults on PSN and are still locked into a child account. As a parent I either have to create an account for my daughter which she will have to abandon in a few years time, or lie about her age so she won’t have that issue. It’s a nonsense.

    Alexiel-FR 24 September, 2014 @ 3:22 pm

i agree, + the problem of being a loyal ps+ customer, on ps4 for example, and you cannot buy the game u already own via ps+ because its considers you have purchased them… so stupid, the funny thing is, disc based game like TLOU, diablo3, DESTINY, that u put on your ps4 with a disk inside , you have the link to the ps store to purchase it, so why and when we will be able to buy ps+ games that we have rent ??
and when like on xbox live, we will be able to switch an account to one region to another ?? like a french account tranformed to a US account.. ?? its like sony made a messy web based store and they cannot modify it … so mad about this..

    Thunderlizzard 25 September, 2014 @ 11:55 pm

Even improved “privileges” control for the sub-accounts would be a start. My daughter can’t even play Trials Fusion in peace because apparently her sub-account is not allowed to access leaderboards, so after every level it starts complaining that “your PSN account cannot access this feature” or some such rubbish when it tries to show the friends leaderboard. It’s just utterly stupid.

At least on her Xbox Live account I can grant her privileges pretty much right up to Adult status as “I” deem sensible and appropriate. We’re not tied into some stupid ill thought out restrictions that I can’t even override. And of course when she hits 18 she can upgrade the account on Xbox too.

Fortunately her PSN one hasn’t got too much tied to it and no purchases so I foresee it becoming one of the many abandoned accounts very soon as she will all of sudden be a smidge older than she really is just to work around this poor design by Sony.

P.S. The ability to change your account name is also similarly and irritatingly absent.

Hi Jawad, AGAIN I ask you to please take a look at the Red Bull Rookies Cup DLC for MotoGP 14 on PS4.
It has been 2 weeks since release and I’m still unable to use something I already paid for.
I have the Season Pass and the store wants to charge me again for the DLC. The same problem ocurred when the Laguna Seca DLC was released and you fixed it in 2 days.
Last week you answered my post saying it would ckeck but the problem remains.
Thank you.

Can someone on the Blog team explain why Basement Crawl is still being sold when even the developers admit it’s completely broken?

They said they are working for a major update, they also said ti will feel like a new game, so the question is “do you feel lucky, punk?” ( not me, I’ll pass )

AlterAnthony 24 September, 2014 @ 1:09 pm   5

Are Child of Light and Oddworld: New โ€˜nโ€™ Tasty cross-buy titles?
Thanks in advance.

Child of light only the Ps3/Ps4 version, not the Vita.
Oddworld yes, when Ps3 and Vita version come out, it will be cross buy according to the deviants.

Child of Light is not. Don’t know about Oddworld.

    andrewsqual 24 September, 2014 @ 1:22 pm

Yes although Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty isn’t out for Vita or PS3 yet, you will own them automatically when they do. Child of Light is also Cross Buy for PS3 and PS4. ๐Ÿ™‚

    mike_291990 24 September, 2014 @ 5:14 pm

I can vouch that Child of Light is cross-buy for both PS3+PS4. PSVita is not included in that however.
It was a weird situation. Child of Light isn’t cross-buy for NA but is on the EU store.

Too bad it wasn’t the Vita version of Child of Light because I would have bought that.
I recommend https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/games/steamworld-dig/cid=EP4473-PCSB00542_00-STEAMWORLDDIG000 to anyone.
It’s a very good digging platformer.

Looks like I’m getting 5+ new PS4 games today! ๐Ÿ˜€

Some nice games that I want, but I’ll wait to see PS+ games first, just to be sure.

thepeppermintape 24 September, 2014 @ 1:14 pm   9

Looks like it’s time for a bit of trine travelling for me.
Epic sale.

ShogunDarius 24 September, 2014 @ 1:14 pm   10

great list of games going on sale. I dont expect it anytime soon but I hope Sword Art Online goes on sale (and for it to get a better translation via a patch)

1. Is Terraria Cross-buy? Is it likely to show up on plus (its been on sale multiple times which is usually typical of games that show up on plus and has even been on the US plus)?

2. I know a lot of users will want a reply on this issue, regarding PSP games on Vita. After people have e-mailed companies like Konami they have received responses such as those in this thread:

http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/PS-Vita-Games/Castlevania-Dracula-X-Chronicles-PSN-Europe/td-p/21920431

that tell us that SCEE are the ones responsible for blocking backwards compatability on some games. I know I personally want to have Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and Burnout Legends available in Europe for Vita (both as are avaible in the US) and additional games like Final Fantasy Crisis Core.

If it is Konami’s doing then can you tell us how to inform them of this to fix the issue?

    Terraria is not cross-buy.

Wow… that Konami really replies to people (o.O) big + to them for that.

Few days ago I’ve asked Capcom about
    -MegaMan Powered Up
    -Mega Man Legends 2
    -Mega Man Maverick Hunter X
    -Mega Man X4
    -Mega Man X5
    -Breath of Fire IV
    -Darkstalkers
    -Darkstalkers 3
    -Dino Crisis
    -Dino Crisis 2

And the reply I got is not even funny :/ it was just copy paste of ready form

“Thank you for contacting us at Capcom European Technical Support.

We have no information on future releases that we can reveal.

We recommend if you want to keep up to date with all things Capcom that you visit the Capcom-Unity website regularly”

    deadfolk_ie 24 September, 2014 @ 1:31 pm

Don’t get me started on Dracula X again! This whole situation is madness. It’s not available at all here in Ireland.

It’s mad that we don’t have a decent channel to communicate this kind of stuff to the people who can do something about it.

Nothing really caught my eye this time.

Hmm… or maybe…. I will think about buying Pure Chess… or no… wait it’s not cross buy, right? Ow well…

Anyway, Mr. Jawad I’m sorry to ask you again for something! I think that I do that quite to often, sorry! But I would be very greatful if you would in your free time ask someone about Freedom Wars. The thing is, it is closer and closer to release date and only few shops have pre-orders atm. There is page on Amazon.co.uk but without anything said about day-1 bonuses mentioned some time ago.

So would it be possible to write something again on PS Blog about Freedom Wars? We still have yet to know which panopticons we will be able to choose ๐Ÿ™‚ And on ocassion it would be nice to know where we can pre-order Freedom Wars.

Also some news about Oreshika would be nice… but Freedom Wars is coming soon… I really want to pre-order it as soon as I can ๐Ÿ™ But I just don’t know which shop (with delivery to Poland) has day-1 bonuses.

    Edit:
    too often*
    grateful*
    occasion*

    NorthernFusion 24 September, 2014 @ 2:40 pm

I’m just happy it’s available for relatively cheap physically, with or without preorder bonuses.

    IMPORTANT:

Amazon.co.uk shop was just updated, there is already info about day-1 bonus.

    Pre-ordering ๐Ÿ™‚

    thekillingspree 24 September, 2014 @ 8:17 pm

Yes, I also noticed yesterday that Amazon UK now mentions the pre-order bonus for Freedom Wars! Now I can finally make the purchase in peace ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice discounts , but I think many of those PS4 titles will be coming to PS Plus in the future. Any news on system software 2.0 for PS4?

Some good games I have been waiting for on sale at last. But then will they appear in Plus later on…

Zhao_Yun16 24 September, 2014 @ 1:18 pm   15

Hey Jawad,

I din’t know whether you are the correct person to ask this but I wanted to know when the EU will get the patch for Towerfall: Ascension which fixes some trophies not popping up. The US got the patch one month ago already and I am wondering why it takes so long for EU.

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 2:13 pm

I’m not aware on general patch issues, so I can’t be of much help, but it shouldn’t be too long for EU to receive it as well.

RyanSufc1997 24 September, 2014 @ 1:19 pm   16

Ahh after the retro sale, I got some extra change in my wallet, so I am picking up Flower, Surgeon Sim, and Trash Panic!

pinkplaybunny 24 September, 2014 @ 1:21 pm   17

I will get Valiant hearts and Munches odyssey i think. New n Tasty is really good, people should def pick that up ๐Ÿ™‚

@Jawad

any chance for Stealth Inc Vita ??

anyrandomhero 24 September, 2014 @ 1:22 pm   19

My first comment! I’ve been a long time reader of the blog and have seen a lot of criticism, especially the last year. Some I agree with (a lot of terrible sales) some I find completely ridiculous (triple a games on ps plus for ps4). I just wanted to say that this sale is awesome (monster monpiece and rogue legacy for me) and even if there is nothing for me I have noticed that the sales have been improving the last few months so good work! Just don’t screw us over by putting some of these titles in plus! Thanks

There’s a whole load of games I’d pick up here, but can we get some confirmation that none of these games will be on Plus in October?

    DieFliedermouse 24 September, 2014 @ 1:42 pm

A lot of these have already been on Plus before, so won’t be coming up. Checkout the archives if you want to be safe.

JoeRhymesWithMoe 24 September, 2014 @ 1:23 pm   21

Jawad,

Theme Hospital is supposed to be in the last sale (which ends tonight) but is still not on the store, can this be fixed today?

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 2:21 pm

Unfortunately this will be too late to fix. Please accept my apologies on this and hopefully we’ll have it on offer again in the future.

Crumptastic_86 24 September, 2014 @ 1:23 pm   22

Flower and Flow on sale? AND lots of PS4 games on sale? I must be dreaming!

Well done guys, now shut up and take my money!

Porcupeth00 24 September, 2014 @ 1:24 pm   23

Nice deals :3 thanks

Tuulenpoika 24 September, 2014 @ 1:28 pm   24

PS Vita/PSP -> one PSP game

Bummer. Even Dragon’s Lair for PS3 is on sale again, but no sign of PSP version. Why is that? Also, any news about the titles me and some others suggested you two weeks ago?

Also, Fred said about checking the Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles missing from several countries’ PSN. Has there been any new info about it?

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 2:24 pm

I’ll see what’s up with Castlevania missing in some stores. Bear with me.

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 2:25 pm

Oh, and suggestions have been passed on. Now it’s a case of trying to arrange something with respective property owners. Fingers crossed!

    Tuulenpoika 24 September, 2014 @ 2:35 pm

    @Jawad
    Thanks for answering!

    madmanwithabox12 24 September, 2014 @ 3:58 pm

Regarding Castlevania, it should be on Vita. Konami said they were bringing these PSP titles to Vita.

DuquesneWhistle 24 September, 2014 @ 1:28 pm   25

Yeah, Oddworld! I was waiting for a discount!

This is a cracking sale with a good variety of games on various formats. I’m not sure if it’s just a coincidence but a few weeks ago I did ask if there was any chance of any PixelJunk games appearing in a sale in the future. If it’s not a coincidence then thank you. Will be picking up several games in this sale.

When the PS3 version of the new Oddworld out?

It cross buy and on sale…but will it get another sale on PS3 release? Don’t really want to buy it now while on sale but not have a game to play for possibly months…

andrewsqual 24 September, 2014 @ 1:30 pm   28

Some excellent sales here. I hope PS3 DLC gets another pop soon. I recently got round to playing Mass Effect 3 and would love a sale on the 3 main DLCS ๐Ÿ™‚

bizarre. bought namco bundle last week (pacman dx + galaga dx) for ยฃ2.49, yet this sale has pacman dx for ยฃ3.99 on it’s own. lol.

guess dark souls 2 is deal of the week?

MentalBeaver 24 September, 2014 @ 1:34 pm   30

Very tempted for Trials Fusion Deluxe in preparation for getting a PS4 later this year.

JAW8856ADL 24 September, 2014 @ 1:39 pm   31

most of them are indie games…

DieFliedermouse 24 September, 2014 @ 1:41 pm   32

Can’t… Sell… Amy… Even for 72p it’s a bad deal.

Hi Jawad Ashraf , question : any new news about Hogs of War for EU / PL market for ps one classic ๐Ÿ™‚ Yes i know that US market have it . ๐Ÿ™‚

DennisLWD-NL 24 September, 2014 @ 1:47 pm   34

Were is the Bad Blood DLC for Watch Dogs? Its already in the US store.

Will pick up Monster Monpiece Been waiting for that to drop for ages =] So really happy,

Only problem is I’ve got so much to play/finish on vita atm ยฌ_ยฌ so it may get neglected for a while

CultureSnake 24 September, 2014 @ 1:53 pm   37

Does anybody around here know if the probelms with Monster Monpiece were fixed? When it released the EU version suffered from occasional freezes and I heard they were trying to fix it, can’t find anything on the internet though. Can anybody confirm/deny that they patched it or if it is really that much of a problem?

It only froze a couple of times when I played it and finished it. It’s lame but if you save every battle, is not that big of a problem.

    CultureSnake 24 September, 2014 @ 2:15 pm

@Rochala Well, then I might as well take the plunge. Thanks for the heads up.

What about ps plus games for october any news on that?

i don’t want to sound like a broken record… well ok maybe i do by now but is there any chance of seeing Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow go on sale? maybe for the PSTV launch atleast

mellan_Konsten 24 September, 2014 @ 2:01 pm   40

Best sale ever!

I didn’t know that escapevektor was available for EU.

Too bad I Only have the money for Frozen Synapse:Prime this month, but I would have loved to be able to afford escape plan, steamworld dig and flower.

bubble_boy01 24 September, 2014 @ 2:06 pm   41

Some quality sales here. For what it’s worth I enthusiastically recommend OlliOlli and Rogue Legacy, even to people who aren’t normally fans of indie games. Looking forward to picking up Flower (finally!), Transistor, Child of Light and Valiant Hearts. Now to somehow find time to play them + PS Plus backlog!

rogue legacy is defenitely worth the price (was worth the full price) a game I really loved. already put more than 30 hours into it.. (is also cross buy for vita)

Am I being silly here? Jet Set Radio and Beyond Good and Evil are selling for more than this blog is advertising. Almost double what the blog states.

    Mahendra0112 24 September, 2014 @ 2:19 pm

It think the store has not been updated yet. You should check again in a few hours or tonight.
