New on PlayStation Store: FIFA 15, PES 2015 demo, Ar nosurge, more

Plus, a wealth of new discounts and savings go live today

EA Sports is at it once again to cause bitter upsets between friends, family and colleagues in FIFA 15. Experience EA’s new engineering feats, new animations, and more tinkering under the hood.

Konami step up to challenge with a playable demo of PES 2015, their football debut on PS4. See what the Fox Engine brings to the table, get comfortable with a reworked football experience and importantly, undertake the yearly comparison.

If football is not your cup of tea, then there are two RPGs to get stuck into. Ar nosurge is an all new game for PS3, linked to the Ar Tonelico series, featuring big robots, lots of humans and conflicting emotions. Following this is Sega’s digital release of Resonance of Fate, featuring slick, gun-toting characters and a compelling battle system to toy with.

Ending the round-up this week are the various offers and promotions – check out heaps of discounts in our Totally Digital promotion, grab offers on Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC, and take advantage of our new deals of the week.

Following titles getting on the SEN store?
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (yes I know of 2.5 hd remake, but thats not playable on portable device is it? 😉 )
PoPoLoCrois
Tales of Eternia
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology
Thrillville
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth

Why I keep asking, I got most of these on UMD, but I do not want to have to drag the PSP whit me in adition to the Vita. And for those that do not get remakes, it would be sad that people would not get to play them in the future.

Any new information on Cross Region Gifting.
Like steam have had for years.

I do mean gifts would have to be purchased as gift. (not transfearal of used). Kind of like how I can order a physical version from US and use it, I want o be able to buy a digital veersion (or DLC) on a american account and gift it to my main account as to not have to logg different acounts to manage my games.. Or to send gifts to a friend, or recive gifts from a friend.

Oh, and to anyone complaining about me reposting, if they (SCEE, Not other people) would just take time to reply, something like: We have brougt your suggestions to the correct people/departments. Id shut up (about the things in the post) for atleast a few months.

    Alexiel-FR 24 September, 2014 @ 3:29 pm

we will never get them , sony doesnt care of their euro customers because they have a monopolistic place on the marcket, so they do nothing, compared to the us, no possibility to stiwh your account region like on xbox live, no possibility to buy the games you rent via ps+ when a good deal is here and u want to really own the game you cant… i told sony france years ago , they said they were working on it… funny thing is when u put any disc based game u have juste beneath the start the game icon a purachse icon with a link to the ps store… so why not apply the same thing to ps+ games we own and we want to buy ??? is it so complicated ??????? TFW..

Why don’t you mail that post to SquareEnix every week, and the other publishers. EU blog team can literally do nothing about any of those games coming to the store.

We won’t get original KHBBS on digital. Some Disney characters stupid copyrights. They can be sell on physical but not on digital. Don’t ask me why. That’s why BBS is and always will be only on UMD. Thank god I’ve got this game and PSP as well. Anyway that’s why we’ve got previous KH collection only on BD and not PSN. And the same will be with the next collection.
    Correct me if I’m wrong.

People defend the mandatory Singstar icon on the PS3 (OMIGOSH I LOVE YOU SONY), yet you get complaints about your posts. XD

Jawad any chance you could chase namco for naruto ultimate ninja storm revolution avatars please?

Why is Castlestorm €17.99 and not €9.99 as in the news yesterday?

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 3:18 pm

Unfortunately the price was overlooked in Zen’s post. The correct price is €17.99.

10$ at NA store, no one should buy it for 18e

I very much doubt that it’s an overlook on Zen’s post. Yesterday when it was released in NA the game had a price of 15$, hours before getting corrected to 10$ (its actual price), and every article out there (even Zen’s own blog) say that the game should be 10€, and not 18.

It’s a punch in the face to us Europeans. No one should buy and support this action.

    bidbaldwolf86 24 September, 2014 @ 5:04 pm

It’s £11.99 on the Xbox store so why is there a £3 difference there?

Was a bit intrested in this game, but asking over the double of the price of the Us Store (Nok 148 in Norway, compared to around Nok 65 in Us store) is a big joke, diffrences like this makes atleast me stay away, Hopefully you have wrong about the price Jawad, and it’s a fault from store side. and not Zen developers.

If you continue to rip us off eventually everyone will buy elsewhere and SCEE will go bankrupt. All we’re asking for is price equality, it’s only fair. I’ve seen this from SCEE for the past 5+ years and I doubt it’ll ever stop, in fact it’s getting worse.

Good update this week!

Was wondering something though – do PS+ subscribers get a discount on pre-ordering Driveclub like the US do? I’d rather just buy the full game at a discount rather than upgrading from the PS+ one 🙂

ramster82_EU 24 September, 2014 @ 3:05 pm   7

Hi Jawad, AGAIN I ask you to please take a look at the Red Bull Rookies Cup DLC for MotoGP 14 on PS4.
It has been 2 weeks since release and I’m still unable to use something I already paid for.
I have the Season Pass and the store wants to charge me again for the DLC. The same problem ocurred when the Laguna Seca DLC was released and you fixed it in 2 days.
Last week you answered my post saying it would ckeck but the problem remains.
Thank you.

Golf Club worth it?

    MaxDiehard 24 September, 2014 @ 3:25 pm

That’s what i’m wondering. A new game, overpriced even discounted, no demo.

I’d rather have a physical release for that price.

Jawad any news about bringing PSM ot other countries? I am more interested for Greece ofc 🙂

Also any news about Oct. PS+ games ? We should learn them today, even if we get them a week later ( which is not fair btw… )

    KaneTheGoth 24 September, 2014 @ 3:16 pm

Don’t think we find out until next week 🙁

Me neither, but it will be nice to have an official reply. 🙁

That would be pretty cool, I want PSM in Saudi Arabia as well, Mostly for Cytus.

Fred already said it would be announced on or around 1 Oct. in the same comment where he said they go live on 8 Oct. So there already is an official reply 🙂

I missed that, thanks for your reply.

Vacc-Balls-Chin?

hitman_stephen 24 September, 2014 @ 3:07 pm   11

For those of you that missed it last week, ‘Raptor – RPG’ got an update, price is £0.99.
Explore and hunt in maps as a Velociraptor, eat, fight, customise, and in the New update you can play as a T-Rex and Spinosaurus, as well as find, carry, raise and hatch an egg into a baby minion raptor that follows you 🙂
Nice to see Playstation mobile game price changes got mentioned this week!

Sweet price for Dark Souls 2. Steam didn’t have it for any cheaper than 33.49€ yet.

    frimo_online 24 September, 2014 @ 5:11 pm

Then you’re not looking in the right places, my friend. Humble Bundle have had it on sale a few times, I think last week was most recent time.

I think you are mistaking it for something else. Humble store doesn’t even have Dark Souls II (at least not for German customers) and about Steam … see image.

Defense Grid 2?

PenitentGhost 24 September, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   14

Any info on Defence Grid 2? I know the US got it yesterday so assumed we would be getting it with this new store update. The seeming lack of it makes me sad 🙁

Were is Defense Grid 2!???Why does the xbox store always get WW releases while we (Europe) have to wait on games? Oh I know answer… Incompetent SCEE.

Sword art online patch any news ?

jin_kazama56 24 September, 2014 @ 3:18 pm   17

Hey, what’s happened to all the playstation 2 classics in the playstation store? i can’t find samurai warriors 2 and dynasty warriors. Thanks

Nice to see a digital release of Resonance of Fate, it’s an excellent PS3 JRPG.

Wish SEGA released more of their retail games on the PSN Store, like Valkyria Chronicles, Yakuza 3 and Yakuza 4.

And of course, english releases of Yakuza 1&2 HD and Yakuza 5 considering they were released in Japan 2 years ago and we still don’t have them here.

    PiccoroDaimaoh 24 September, 2014 @ 3:20 pm

I agree, I wish that Valkyria Chronicles was on the Store.

Resonance of Fate is far, far too overlooked as an RPG. Where else can you find a turn-based character driven RPG that’s based around gun-fu and set in a steampunk world? This was my first game on PS3, and it’s still a classic.

The trouble is that this, (like Valkyria Chronicles and Infinite Space on the DS as well) fell prey to SEGA’s mad marketing strategy, whereby they produce some of the greatest, most innovative titles being released, that no-one else even comes close to surpassing, then give them no marketing and limited print runs while they focus on the next throwaway 3/10 Sonic title because they know that no matter how bad it is, the hedgehog will always sell millions.

Great gem for those who are prepared to get to grips with it’s complex combat – you really need to play the tutorial battles at the arena to have even the faintest clue what you are doing.

I’d love to see Valkyria Chronicles on PSN digitally as well. I already have it on disc, but more people need to play the greatest strategy RPG on PS3. A digital release might also mean they’d finally have to patch in trophy support for it.

Tuulenpoika 24 September, 2014 @ 3:19 pm   19

I hope that we could get the PSP version of Dragon’s Lair on sale someday. Has a different company developed the PSP version, or why can’t it be offered on sale at the same time with the PS3 version?

Otherwise, great job and thanks for answering questions!

castlestorm ps4 18€, it’s a joke? price 10$ in us store.

Jawad, do you know if Capcom have any plans to put Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX (PSP) & Megaman Maverick Hunter X (PSP) on sale within the next few months ?. If not i’ll likely cave & buy them today.

Also have you heard anything about Guilty Gear XX Accent Core+ (PS3) ? Guessing no as Arc System seems to be ignoring EU.

Thanks 🙂

Is there any word on when the Heavenly Sword Movie will be released on the EU/UK playstation store, as it has already been released on the US playstation store?

ThreeWallzz 24 September, 2014 @ 3:24 pm   23

Dark Souls II for me,I wish there was a discount for the season pass though

Bennison123 24 September, 2014 @ 3:24 pm   24

How come the price for Fifa 15 has changed from £59.99 to £54.99 after I have been charged and the game preloaded?

    Jawad Ashraf 24 September, 2014 @ 3:43 pm

You should be charged the lower price. If there is a problem please get in touch with consumer services who will be happy to help.

Has anyone got the difference refunded, i contacted support and was refused?

Faustofausto 24 September, 2014 @ 3:25 pm   25

Why should we, EU customers must wait for one week for the PS Plus update? The first wednesday of the month is 1st of October, so I don’t care that the US Plus users could wait the next Tuesday. If we mention that the US users get greater discounts you said the EU and the US Store is different, in that case why should we wait?

It isn’t really a surprise. Americans are apparently the “better” people on this earth so we need to bow down to them. It wouldn’t be fair to them if we ever get something before them.

Anyway I agree with you, it’s (MODERATED) that Europeans are always considered second. Discounts are worse, we need to wait and sometimes there are games/apps/features we don’t even get or we get later.

WearingFin 24 September, 2014 @ 3:26 pm   26

I really hope PES releases earlier next year, as it’s very hard to ignore FIFA until November, even if there is a demo. I do like FIFA, but it’s clear from reviews and history that it needs a strong PES again and it’s not doing any favours having such a large gap between the two.

Querdenker 24 September, 2014 @ 3:26 pm   27

Hi Jawad,

having an issue with Awesomenauts Assemble! on PS4 (not the webstore) in Germany (maybe not just here). If you open the game’s Live Area (or whatever it’s called on PS4) and move down to the related items, then there’s none of the game’s DLC add-ons listed, not even the ones already purchased. And if you move back up some, then there’s some sort of banner image to promote the DLC add-ons, which leads to a maintenance error page from the PS4 store.

Is this something you store content managers handle or should I contact the game’s developer/publisher Ronimo?

Thanks in advance

Will we have to pay extra to use the Sky app?

Faustofausto 24 September, 2014 @ 3:29 pm   29

Is there any news, when will be the HBO Go available for the EU?

Querdenker 24 September, 2014 @ 3:31 pm   30

Hi Jawad, can you put (or ask someone to put) the Sony game “Folklore” on the store? Thanks

Oh if that’s the competetive form of Mahjong then count me in!

    Doesn’t look like it, Dernholm.

From the SEN page, it looks like just another Mahjong solitaire game, and the Best of Board Games app itself appears to be just another piece of freemium malware.

I’d pay big money to the first company who is prepared to put a proper Mahjong game on my Vita, not more of this tile matching rubbish you get free with Windows without being stuffed full of microtransactions.

I cant play fifa 15, there’s a Hugo ammount of lag! Please check it: http://answers.ea.com/t5/FIFA-15/FIFA-15-PS4-Lagging/td-p/3558027/highlight/false/page/6

A week passed, but the Anomaly 2 is still missing in the Russian PS Store.

Hi Jawad, any news on when (or if) 1001 spikes releases in the EU?

Any news on the pre-order Driveclub and get PS+ 12 months at 50% off mentioned here?

http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/08/20/driveclub-pre-order-offers-and-cover-art-revealed/

Or are Sony hoping we forget like the Vita/1 Month free PS+ deal that we never actually got.

🙂

madmanwithabox12 24 September, 2014 @ 3:54 pm   36

As ever, I’d be appreciative of more classics for Vita (PS1 or PSP there are some great games missing and some very weird conspiracies around certain Konami titles). Would really like to see this change, at the very least on the first party front. Syphon Filter 2, Legend of Dragoon, Parappa the Rapper, MediEvil 2, Ape Escape – these are all Sony owned IP and the latter three aren’t out of bounds since they all got representation in PS All-Stars! Is there a good reason why some of Sony’s best aren’t playable? I’m genuinely curious.

Nothing for me this week otherwise, though I would like to point out the obvious: FSP soundtrack isn’t a “Vita game”. 😉

I’m curious if anything is known about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax? It’s coming to Europe in November, courtesy of SEGA. But I’m concerned about the DLC, firstly because I worry we won’t get it all and secondly because in both Japan and North America, the first two downloadable characters (Adachi and Marie) are free for a limited time frame but as ever we don’t have anything to go on in Europe. I know you guys probably don’t have the answers on this one, but I’m asking anyway.

I can’t find Driveclub from PS Store. So it is not released to preorder? Does the PS Store notice discount on PS+ account automatically?

WD Bad Blood I downloaded and installed.

“Frozen Synapse Prime Soundtrack (£5.79/€6.99/AU$10.45)”

This does not show up in the store at all. There is a Frozen Synapse Prime Soundtrack Edition for €19,99 tho.

The Nyotengu complete pack and the Bed & Bathtime DLC for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, where are they!?

Not only that, this week’s stuff is not in the actual store! Only the catalogue is there. I wish they’d stop messing up these releases, it’s embarrassing…

We need the ps plus announcement. Moving it so as not to upset the Americans is not on. You’ve already stripped us if one update a year by saying it’s always the first Wednesday of the month. You need to stick to announced guidelines.

I wondered what you were talking about for a while. Here was me blindly expecting my latest batch of freebies next Wednesday… the 1st October… you know, the FIRST Wednesday of the month.

Then I read this and think hang on, do a quick Google search and find this from Fred Dutton:
“At present it looks like the next batch of Plus games will go live on October 8th, so look out for the announcement on or around October 1st.”

    Seriously!?

If this was the US release being postponed I’d expect fire, brimstone and lawsuits aplenty. Bad form Sony!

There should be riots. I wouldn’t expect orange to delay when I get my minutes allowance and I don’t expect Sony to do the same? They need to either release on the first wednesday or credit us all with a week of PSPlus.

    KaneTheGoth 24 September, 2014 @ 7:16 pm

…and they haven’t even bothered to say why! To be honest the nonchalant attitude here is almost as bad as the delay itself.

You’ve been doing this for a few weeks now:

Why are you listing Tales of Xillia 2 DLC which has already been out for weeks as new releases this week? I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve done this with other games too.

    ShuYinOnTheWay 29 September, 2014 @ 8:39 pm

It’s because both costumes listed in the list above were in fact missing in the store, or rather went missing and are now back online. The PSN store was having hiccups before the new update and DLC would simply disappear, pages would not display correctly or would just crash altogether.

On that note: Thank you Jawad for bringing those back! Cheers!

I assume TV from Sky requires a Sky subscription?

    DieFliedermouse 24 September, 2014 @ 4:54 pm

Yes. If it’s anything like the Xbox app you’ll also need to pay £5 a month to use it.

    @DieFiiedermouse
What about who subscribed to Sky? I am a Sky customer and have a Sky+ box right?

Any news on when the call duty advanced warfare digital atlas pro pre-order is coming to the store. No sign of it here but already out on american store. Please respond with an answer.

ElectricRoses 24 September, 2014 @ 4:27 pm   45

I don’t see the dead or alive costumes anywhere, just the catalogue thing…

Please fix this ASAP! We are also still missing some bundle packs from previous releases…

Hi are the new Killzone maps from last week now up. I could never find them last week – perhaps if they were there someone could let me know how they found them – seems SCEE try to always hide them – I mean its not that bad a game.

KeithoMahony 24 September, 2014 @ 4:37 pm   47

Any reason for the Sky app not being available in Ireland?

And Metro Redux Compilation is still more expensive than buying both games standalone.. Really SCEE?

zalwelgoedgaan 24 September, 2014 @ 4:47 pm   49

Not really an impressive week, but I at least bought Crimsonland on the sale and I’ll just clear the rest of my backlog to make room for more future games.
