Get Rayman Origins and Legends everyone, they are what gaming is all about but its been forgotten by Sony & co

    KomrathDE 1 October, 2014 @ 1:38 pm

I can recommend Rayman games, they are not so easy, but really well done 🙂

    andrewsqual 1 October, 2014 @ 3:31 pm

Yeah get the Rayman games for PlayStation, the longest running platform you can buy every single version of Rayman for. Just the same way you can only own the complete collections of Tomb Raider and Oddworld is on Playstation. ^_^

Decent sale, might pick up a few things. Just wish there were more quality Vita games included.
How long till this month’s PS+ games get revealed?

jorispelgrom 1 October, 2014 @ 1:08 pm   3

Sneaky location for the Deals of the Week… Good deals, though!

    Fred Dutton 1 October, 2014 @ 1:14 pm

We’ll highlight them in the Store post as usual. I just didn’t want them to be missed by those folks who only read the sale posts, so I tend to put them in their too.

morgothemighty 1 October, 2014 @ 1:09 pm   4

And the PS+ update is when now?

    Fred Dutton 1 October, 2014 @ 1:13 pm

Subject to any last minute changes, look for it at around 5pm today BST.

    morgothemighty 1 October, 2014 @ 1:17 pm

    Excellent – cheers Fred

Posted by Chris on 14th of May 2014:

Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month.

According to my calendar its the 1st Wednesday of October today.

    LeftMonocle 1 October, 2014 @ 1:36 pm

Yeah, but Driveclub. So F promises.

    loonyspoony 1 October, 2014 @ 1:58 pm

Don’t think it’s anything to do with Driveclub, wait until the next time 1st falls on a Wednesday bet we’ll get it the 8th then too. They won’t let us have content 6 days before the U.S. but happy for us to have it one day later 12 times a year.

That best be the release of them and not the announcement. Else I’ll be expecting us all to get a week credited to us. You only announced the schedule in May. This is nothing to do with drive club

    unbiased 1 October, 2014 @ 4:47 pm

Good luck getting an answer out of them or complaining about the delay, they have proven the only market they actually give a damn about is the US one, sod EU.
Dont even get a sorry and a reason from any of the blueys here its just tough luck EU deal with it

    nascent- 2 October, 2014 @ 9:06 pm

I’m not seeing any of these deals. When are they available?

    nascent- 2 October, 2014 @ 9:08 pm

Ok, so re-reading the post, it appears there’s no ps4 deals.. but i’m not seeing the free drivecub?

nice deals.
deus ex directors cut worth it? or dirt 3?

    Jawad Ashraf 1 October, 2014 @ 1:27 pm

Deus Ex is very, very good game (I played the non-DC). Loads of ways deal with the situation. DC version is even better.

I am not a FPS person, but since they gave it with ps+ long time ago, I tried it and liked it.

Deus ex is definitely worth it. Most definitely in my top 10 games of all time. The directors cut combines the original game with the ‘missing link’ dlc. Also in the directors cut you can now take out bosses with out going in guns blazing like the base game. Theres also a ‘new game +’ so you can carry over your upgrades if you want to max everything out. your ‘augmentations’ can also be used more freely whereas in the base game certain areas wouldn’t activate your augmentations. They also upgraded the textures too (not sure about ps3 version but pc got the upgrade)

    Jawad Ashraf 1 October, 2014 @ 2:35 pm

I will echo Rochala, too. I’m not keen on FPS games but Deus Ex was great.

mr-korosu 1 October, 2014 @ 1:10 pm   6

woo hoo! might pick up child of light for the vita! Not sure if you saw my comment last week but, any chance of getting a discount for Hard Corps: Uprising?

X_Blood_Curse_X 1 October, 2014 @ 1:10 pm   7

Might give Sweet Fuse a go, it’s an otame but hey, I’m an open minded guy

    X_Blood_Curse_X 1 October, 2014 @ 1:10 pm

    What’s an otome ?

    sakulukk 1 October, 2014 @ 1:48 pm

Otome are games that are mainly targeted at females.

Otome games are kind of like harem games if that makes sense…usually a choice of 5 or 6 males that are bishonen attractive or they might be pigeons like Hatoful Boyfriend. Basically it’s a visual novel that has multiple endings based on what male you choose as you romance various men or fairies or whatever characters they have as a part of your harem. I’ve tried to “romance” them all at once but that doesn’t really work (like real life heh)

I find them kind of creepy and fascinating at the same time, just be glad they aren’t all like the ds game Duel Love (love for sale heh) it’s even weirder as one of the guys in Duel Love looks like my husband.

As you are a guy they do actually have ones for men, albeit chances are outside of the Japanese PSN they won’t be showing up in the west or you can play them on the PC where they are fan subbed so you can understand the story rather than touching or ummm hmmm yeah we won’t go there

dunderhoken82 1 October, 2014 @ 1:10 pm   8

Eeeeh no PS4?

Maby announce the ps+ october games…!?

dunderhoken82 1 October, 2014 @ 1:10 pm   9

Maby announce the ps+ october games…!?

Child of Light (PS Vita) is in the ps3 section. There is also no mention of a ps+ discount (which it has).

there goes my hope for Child Of Light (VITA) in PS+ 🙁

BUT…still hoping for Rayman Legends(VITA Version) since its not on this sale 😀

ocelot07 1 October, 2014 @ 1:15 pm   12

Very good sale here. Need for Speed Most Wanted for the Vita £6.49 bargain. Rayman Origins £5.79 another good title. Recommended and one of the titles that works on the soon to be released PS TV.

KenMarinaris 1 October, 2014 @ 1:17 pm   13

I wish DA: Awakening as well as PoP: Epilogue had some discounts.:(

    KaneTheGoth 1 October, 2014 @ 2:26 pm

Same here. Any chance of some DA: Origins DLC discounts? I know most were discounted a few months back but both The Darkspawn Chronicles and Witch Hunt were NOT discounted in that sale.

Also, some discounts on Army of Two: The Devils Cartel would be good too as the game appeared in a recent sale 🙂

    Shi_Neko 1 October, 2014 @ 5:22 pm

I’d really like to experience 100% of DA1/2 before Inquisition comes out but I’m missing few DLCs, like Awakening, which still costs a lot more than I’d like to pay for it.

    Bovrillor 5 October, 2014 @ 4:13 pm

Awakening was £2 a few months back, I’m sure it’ll happen again sometime.

Darkspawn and Witch-Hunt are both AWFUL and the content doesn’t carry over into Awakening, so I wouldn’t bother with them personally.

    eoinoreilly24 6 October, 2014 @ 12:56 pm

Witch Hunt is arguably worth playing for the story, though. It may be very relevant in Inquisition. And the save doesn’t carry over to Awakening because Witch Hunt is meant to take place after Awakening, chronologically. Your save can be imported from Awakening to Witch Hunt.

R U serious?
Most of the PS3 games were much cheaper in previous discound periods!!
Do they look like the wine? The more time passes, the more expensive they get? Ridiculous…

    Mario__4__Life 1 October, 2014 @ 1:34 pm

The price on the rayman games is really good i think, same for the sonic games or some of them. I only found the rivals price to be really dissapointing i would have enjoyed to see it at 15 or even 10 finally, after all it has some technical issues on ps3.

Come on, the prices here are just ridiculous! I bought Back to the future and Jurassic Park for 0,99 dollar a few months ago on US store. Such a rip off here!

    Danny-Phoenix 1 October, 2014 @ 1:53 pm

I’s stick to your US account then mate, that’s why it’s good to have both.

bonzothebuzz 1 October, 2014 @ 1:28 pm   16

I still cant access Star Wars the force unleashed II in Ireland, it comes up with Page not found, can you fix this? cheers

    eoinoreilly24 6 October, 2014 @ 12:53 pm

I just tried to access it there now and it’s still unavailable. It’s not meant to be very good anyway so it’s no great loss.

jon_h_blake 1 October, 2014 @ 1:30 pm   17

Guys, you should try to tell people who is thinking in buying a psvita, that with weekly PSN sales or discounts they can have a big list of games without spending a lot of money.
I have 48, I think,and I did not spend a lot of money.That’s great,but people didn’t know that.
I’m happy with my psvita because of things like this. Thanks for the discounts!

sweet fuse for me

I wonder why games of Japanese origin are always around £30 and not on plus

Malteser 1 October, 2014 @ 1:37 pm   20

Really disappointing how Sony doesn’t offer up some great discounts on PS4 games still – it would entice newcomers and also reward those who upgraded from the PS3. When I see the huge selection of games on PS3 at such a great price I can see why so many people have traded in their consoles and downgraded. Come on PSN EU sort it out – top title discounts for PS4 rather than average PSN titles!

Roxas598 1 October, 2014 @ 1:37 pm   21

Why is the plus update delayed a week? :S

a_certain_mr 1 October, 2014 @ 1:39 pm   22

PS4 Games under £8? No? 🙁

mitri6771 1 October, 2014 @ 1:41 pm   23

Where is the PS+ game list?

    Danny-Phoenix 1 October, 2014 @ 1:52 pm

Usually about 3 but it doesn’t really ever go live till around 4 or 5 anyway so I strongly suggest a cheese sandwich while we wait.

brianmini 1 October, 2014 @ 1:41 pm   24

6 games bought, £16 spent…. bargain.

    Hilaveli 1 October, 2014 @ 3:08 pm

Do share the games you opted for…if you don’t mind.

    brianmini 2 October, 2014 @ 10:56 am

    I opted for the following

    Child of Light
    Dr Who : Eternity Clock
    Fort Defence : North Menace
    Gravity Badgers

OldHorn666 1 October, 2014 @ 1:44 pm   25

I’m usually happy with sales going on in PS Store but now I have to say, is this a joke? You keep discounting same games over and over, and then you put price tags like 9,99€ for games that are a lot cheaper on US store. Why?

bend2squares 1 October, 2014 @ 1:45 pm   26

Could someone please get the word out that the Dark Souls II DLC Crown of the Ivory King is once again not showing up as purchased for season pass holders.

I’m actually baffled how the same mistake has been repeated, please don’t make me repurchase the content again.

iamdark1988 1 October, 2014 @ 1:47 pm   27

Sonic Adventure! Was looking to buy that the other week but was 10p short and didn’t want to/couldn’t add more funds. So thanks whom I need to!

Lunastra78 1 October, 2014 @ 1:47 pm   28

When will the last Dark Souls 2 DLC be available for download?

Hopefully it will work for season pass owners this time!

bend2squares 1 October, 2014 @ 1:50 pm   29

Maybe a bit pre-emptive of a comment as the DLC is now available for free, my mistake.

Danny-Phoenix 1 October, 2014 @ 1:51 pm   30

*looks at watch* damn, looks like it;s time to play Mass Effect again then.

Kinky_Friedman 1 October, 2014 @ 2:01 pm   31

Enslaved – Odissey to the West? Tut tut :).

AVeryLostKiwi 1 October, 2014 @ 2:02 pm   32

I went to go get Mass Effect 2 and 3 (already got ME1 just last week of the PS Store, drats!), ME2 has the discount, but ME3 is still saying it’s £15.99. Should I hold tight for the update to complete on the Store?

    Jawad Ashraf 1 October, 2014 @ 2:32 pm

Hold tight – always wait for the discounts to go live before purchasing 🙂

    AVeryLostKiwi 1 October, 2014 @ 7:46 pm

It’s still showing as £15.99 despite being in the Games Under £8. Might want to check that one (Mass Effect 3).

Mass Effect 3 still lists for 19€. Could any of you guys check it out, please?

    miroperich 6 October, 2014 @ 12:51 pm

I have ME3 listed as a PS Plus Exclusive, available for subscribers as a full game trial – free download of a full game available to play for a limited amount of time (don’t know how long)

Kansberg 1 October, 2014 @ 2:52 pm   33

Really? I just got [MODERATED] with NFS: Rivals.. Bourght it @£55, three days ago.
No way to get at least some of the discount? I know it isn’t your call with the pricing, but really?? More than £30.. Imagine how much more fun I could get out of my PS4, and therefore a better experience.

Please? It really isn’t fair for us who actually don’t sit around waiting for games to drop in price. :/

    X_Blood_Curse_X 1 October, 2014 @ 4:15 pm

You spent £55 on a digital version of an EA game? o.O

    Mario__4__Life 2 October, 2014 @ 7:57 pm

Lol, sorry buddy but buying a game full price this late is bound for disaster, i agree you should get a refund and you can contact customer support and try 🙂 But yeah, waiting for sales is where its at.

    DarkArchoNx66 4 October, 2014 @ 3:00 pm

hahaha I feel your pain m8!!I once bought (like a proper idiot) Nba2k14 for ps3, even though I thought I was with it because it was a deal of the weak and it looked sweet. 2 weeks later it came on plus. You paid way more, but at least you weren’t deceived.

PSN Store NEVER issues refunds, even for faulty/unusable software. It’s company policy, based on a loophole in digital distribution laws.

I’ve still got several non-functional downloads I paid good money for that don’t work. At all.

Not to mention all the full-price games I bought that went on sale/Plus the very next week.

@Jawad Ashraf

Child of light (PS Vita) pricing is wrong in Indian Store which has the price of the PS3/PS4, so the discount was not applied on PS Vita price instead your are using PS3/PS4. Please fix this so i can purchase it.

yossefali-2000 1 October, 2014 @ 3:01 pm   35

why the usd prices are higher than the €’s ?

Mauler_77 1 October, 2014 @ 3:01 pm   36

Hotline Miami. nice

Hilaveli 1 October, 2014 @ 3:03 pm   37

I’ve never had that 100% recommendation about Mass Effect Trilogy so I always skip it during sales.

Rayman Legends and Origins on the other hand are priced well, so its an easy pick up for me.

    Ben_Eaglesfield 1 October, 2014 @ 5:18 pm

They’re really good games, definitely capture the retro vibe whilst still feeling modern.

So annoying, I got just cause 2 for the full price a couple of months ago and now it is only £3.99

Just Cause 2 is THE most frequently discounted game ever and you bought it for full price in 2014?!

Ben_Eaglesfield 1 October, 2014 @ 5:11 pm   45

Having an issue with ME3, it’s listing it as £15.99 but also asks me to choose a version between Full Game and Full Game trial.
If i give it a day or two will the price be updated or am i out of luck because it’s offering me the trial version?

Skydancerx 1 October, 2014 @ 9:25 pm   46

Some good Games but stop put the same Games on Sale 10000000 Times.
Ni no Kuni was cheaper on previous sales.

Is this coming to the US or only for EU?

Purchased and installed DiRT Showdown only for it to ask me for a VIP pass.
It says in the game description that it is included, but there seems to be an error as it only downloads the main game. It’s not in the download list or purchase history.

Anyone else have this problem?

SatoshiOokami 2 October, 2014 @ 2:14 pm   49

Someone should seriously apply for DLCs of these games…
Like… NFS: Most Wanted has been pretty much permanently on sale but NO sale on DLCs…

    Mario__4__Life 2 October, 2014 @ 8:01 pm

Yes most wanted DLC has been on sale. It was shortly after the game was in PLUS i remember because i bought the DLC. Was around 12 bucks for all i think. Surely will be discounted again (even tho people always complain about repeated sales^^)

MarSSSteR 2 October, 2014 @ 5:01 pm   50

Back to the Future: The Game – 5 Game Series was already 5,09! euro… excl. plus discount
