Twin-stick shooter Nano Assault Neo-X arrives on PS4 this week

Blast viruses in a microscopic world in Shin’en’s frantic action game

Intense arcade action? Check. Original sci-fi setting? Check. Two-player split screen? Check. Blasting soundtrack? Check.

Right, that’s Nano Assault Neo-X, our first PS4 game, out on PlayStation Store this Wednesday, 29th October. We’ve developed quite a few action games in the last 15 years but we’ve distilled all that knowledge into our latest game and are really looking forward to the reactions of PS4 owners.

What is it all about? Blast viruses in a microscopic world. Fight enormous boss creatures. Collect credits and equip your vessel with cool weapons to stand a chance. Collect the B-O-N-U-S letters to enter the bonus round for quick extra credits.

What’s really cool about Nano Assault Neo-X is the microscopic cellular world you explore. Ever looked through a Scanning Electron Microscope? That’s our game world. You traverse the outer hull of cells and fight infections in twinstick-shooter style. Sounds exciting? It really is! We are pretty proud of the looks and feel of that world. Super smooth 60fps gameplay, 1080p visuals, non-stop action, hyperspeed bonus rounds, brilliant light effects, two player splitscreen coop mode and much much more make Nano Assault Neo-X simply the best action game we ever created.

Another cool thing in our game is the ability to equip your vessel with up to four satellites. Pause the game anytime and change the position and shooting direction of your satellites to match your preferred play style.

We also took great care to create a simple yet deep scoring system, because we think arcade shooters are most fun when comparing yourself against your friends and other players online. All levels provide online score boards to post your high scores to the outside world. Even our team still finds new tricks to get higher scores and we really wonder what the players will achieve on their own.

Want to check it out? It’s almost here!

If it’s on 3DS surely they could (properly) port it to our beloved Vita? I’d love to get this on my Vita! Games like this one are perfect to play on the go on the Vita! Did I say “Vita” yet? Devs, take notice: Vita!

I would buy it day 1 on my vita

Nice! Any news about the price?

9.99 €

I say, I would’ve bought this game if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve already bought the game on Wii U. Hope that you guys plan to bring more of your games to Playstation. Would rather buy them there. :)

Thanks! I only played the demo on Wii U because I found the GamePad sticks a bit inappropriate for twin stick shooters. I can’t wait to play this via remote play on Vita :D

Its a shame that Resogun is so good that I’ve become hesitant to pick up any other shooters. Maybe this one will tempt me if the price is right as it looks very reminiscent of Super Stardust and I loved that game

Well, I have both, Resogun on PS4, and this on 3DS (also have the CPP to play it), and Shin’en is awesome developer (loved Nanostray on DS, also bought Jet Rocket II on 3DS) and this game is awesome…but Resogun is a much better schmup!

So does this not have online co-op? If not I suppose this is where Shareplay comes in handy?

I hope that too!

Cool game alert! Cool game alert! Sound the alarm!

Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U Wii U!!!!!!

Ow boy, you made me laugh with this one :D

Now I know why they called it Wii U :P

Super stardust devs may want to sue.

Question for anyone that’s played this:

Does your gun autofire when you ‘aim’ (like Geometry Wars or Stardust) or is there a ‘trigger’ button (Like Dead Nation / Crimsonland)?

I ask because I find trigger buttons in twin-stick shooters really annoying.

Yep autofire on the stick

I own it on Wii U, gonna double dip.

Got this on the Wii U and it’s really good. Like Resogun a bit and would recommend it to fans of that :)

Great stuff, twin stick shooters are always welcome in my home. Now what bringing us FAST ;)

This looks SICK! Like Super Stardust but slightly more awesome!

Deffo looks like Super Stardust and includes the tunnel sections from the old Amiga version , Count me interested
