why not make 67 people happy instead of just one??

I asked myself the same question after reading the text :D

First thing i thought was 67? They’ve missed out on an awesome number, if only they threw in two more prizes…

1.3

In some company you need sometimes 67 persons to find a good idea like yours.

Wow, just wow. That prize is amazing!

Make one of these to Brazil…
EVERYTHING here is too damn expensive!

I hate these fastest finger first compos

why not just random from correct entries ?

it discriminates against those of us with limited dexterity :(

4.1

I feel sometimes that even if the competition was fixed, it’d still be more fair than these timed surveys.

It discriminates against those with limited motor function or vision in the extreme.

Not very inclusive or accessible. Poor show Sony.

4.3

I know right, the fact they still do this frustrates me do much. The amount of competitions I have no chance of winning, thrown right in my face. I wish they’d stop notifying me about them by emai until there change it. It’s excludes all sorts of people who have limited function or are just slow like me.

No one does competitions like these, and for good reason. People constantly complain and they just don’t listen. Yay to another awesome competition that I can’t enter, thanks Sony.

I’m surprise Sony keep doing these competitions that rely on the speed of responses. I work in IT and I know how easy it is to just create a script to intercept messages sent to and from a webpage. That’s the main reason I never bother. Who makes these decisions?!

7

Entered, but no doubt some 12 year old jacked up on sugar with reflexes like a cat will beat me to it. :)

Again! ENOUGH with the stupid ”answer as fast as possible” questions PLEASE!!!

This is not fair with people with slow computers(like me) :( Can’t SONY scrap this be as fast as you can way :D I entered anyway(AMAZING prize this is) :P

And once again, the prize goes to a Bot

3 short easy answers guys, don’t worry about using a bot or Googling them.
I would also like to not have the competitions fastest person first, a lucky dip of all the correct entries, or just enter email address to enter the random price dip draw :)

prize dip *

The prize is great, but again it will sadly go to some script kiddy who knows how to program a bot to win it for him.

Enter the first time using one e-mail address and a made-up name and address, take as long as you can to identify everything and mark the correct answers, then quit, program a script to do it as fast as possible without looking like overt cheating and run it again using your real identity and the script wins it for you.

I hate these fastest finger first online competitions – they’re a cheaters charter. A blind random selection from all the correct answers is fairest out of a whole lot of imperfect options. Sure, people will google the correct answers, but there are ways to make that as difficult as possible. There’s no point in any honest person entering these timed competitions when they’re up against the reflexes of a computer.

13

1. Why give 67 awesome things to ONE person? I mean, who needs 3 TVs? Seriously?

2. Why can’t you finally stop these “answer as fast as possible” competitions? There are so many ways to cheat in these that it’s impossible for anyone who isn’t a programmer, on speed or anything else like that?

Don’t get me wrong, that package is AWESOME, but the way you do these competitions really don’t even make me get my hopes up of maybe winning it, because I already know it’s going to be impossible.

Great, yet another competition I have little to no chance of winning… and I’ve entered it. I don’t like the ‘answer the most correct in the quickest time’ method though – a random draw would be much fairer.

“open to persons aged 18 years or over who are residents of Australia, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom (“Entrant Countries”) except employees, agents, contractors or consultants of the Promoter (as defined below) and their immediate families, the Promoter’s associated companies and anyone else professionally connected with the Competition (“Entrants”).”

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh! :D :/ :(

Wow lol. O.O

That’s one awesome, big prize package.

I would love to have the Xperia Z3 Compact especially personally. (but it’s the regular 5,2″ Xperia Z3 there I see)

Could you please post the winners time so we know at least it’s not one with a auto-script who wins this on milliseconds?
You should also update your terms, since you do not take this kind of cheating in consideration at all.

18

Sigh. Can you not just let us enter and pick a winner please? All these competitions I get via email and its this timed nonsense. I was never good at tests or something requiring speed, prefer to take my time. Its even the way I game.
I would prefer to have a .000001 chance of winning with a random selection rather than absolute ZERO with this timed method. :(

ORRRRRR not give this all to one person and reduce some of your prices in the store…

19.1

I’ve just done some quick and dirty maths and this prize bundle adds up to about £7000. Which is enough have price matched US store prices for 480 transactions in just the prizes, factor in organisational, administration, shipping, promotion etc and the cost of this competition easily runs in excess of 12k, enough to have price matched over 600 transactions. We’ve had almost a full year of subsidising the US price freeze now, MS have reduced their digital store prices from £55 to £45 for most titles now, time for SCEE to do the same and bring our prices at least close to the actual exchange rate. Make it happen SCEE.

On topic, this lot will be run by whoever has the most efficient script running with the lowest ping, makes the competition utterly pointless. I get that some countries have gambling laws that outlaw games of pure chance, but surely it’s better to exclude those countries from the competition and have a fair random draw than to include those countries and exclude everyon...

Hate this timmed question contest. Its a horrible idea… people can actually cheat in this and submit answers in less then 1 second with somme programs.

Just make it choose random from people that got all questions right. Jeeezzz Sony… you are so unfair.

21.1

Welcome to SCEE, fair isn’t always a concern.

Again with the stupid fastest time wins

Don’t worry, I passed over my feedback over to the forum team so they can forward my message to the team who uses this stupid mechanic. The forum team are very nice btw though.

i hate this fastest time comps it is stupid, but great prizes though but i know i have lost !!

This seems quite random and sudden, but it’s a very good gesture anyway. Good luck to everyone who entered!

Not again. Please stop this discrimination and get rid of these fastest wins competitions!

I’ve not bothered to enter as completely agree with all the above comments.

I hope (but don’t expect) a response from somebody at Sony as to why they feel another ‘fastest’ competition is the way to go.

Phew, I’m relieved. Hungarians can’t participate. Suprise-suprise. My first thought was “Oh never mind, can’t participate”, Hell yeah I was right. Never mind the western countries where they could buy it everything for less and have to work far fewer hours. Ahh dear old capitalism

I asked London Studio on their Singstar Facebook page what the winning time was for the last Singstar competition (that finished in October) where you could win the ‘Ultimate Gaming Package’.

Needless to say I didn’t get a reply.

I can’t see the information being divulged here either. :/

Another competition that’s pointless to enter… enough with ‘fastest finger first’ quiz competitions already!

Stupid competitions…make a lotto for christmas !!

I get all these e-mails about competitions I can’t enter because I’m not in the right country. We keep getting rumours that we’ll have an official PSN version for Romania but as is the case they turned out to be just that… rumours. Don’t even get me started on this sorry excuse for a contest. I’m pretty sure the winner and all of the ten runner-ups will have used a bot to win this for them. Since I don’t know how to compile this kind of script AND I don’t live in the right country for Sony, then the point of me entering this contest is pretty much moot. Way to boost people’s morale if they keep getting hit in the eyeballs with these glorified speed quizzes. Anyway, it you entered fair & square then good luck. It’s a given you’ll need it.

Yeah these competitions are really bad PlayStation. You guys should come up with a more creative and inclusive way of running competitions.

Seriously Stop this Timed rubbish!, Go back to picking a winner from a list of correct entries at random please.

I think that donating all those prizes to a children’s ward in a hospital might be a more worthy cause. Nice bit of promotion for Sony too if someone in the marketing department used their loaf.

Why not try to win it and give it away yourself?
I’ll do that.
Btw Sony is supporting many good causes, even with their problematic financial situation.

And Italy is out… again… :(

Do the winners of these competitions get announced? I always wonder if it is random, or just the fastest. I’m sure this would be open to hacking if it is based on time, with a bot that answers the questions instantly for you.

That is an amazing price. I go and try to win it but with my use of morphine to numb the pain I’m in I probably won’t win.
If I win I would give most of the price to my nephew. His wife just died, he lost his job and has 2 great boys that would love to have these cool prices. Fingers crossed.

Italy, Greece and France not included. Way to go PS..

SCEE has some great competitions recently. Shame because I browse on a tablet and these are fastest finger I don’t even stand a chance to win. SCEE, please change your rules. If one or two countries don’t allow raffles, exclude them and have a separate competition for those markets. This system is entirely unfair to normal consumers

41

Yes please stop it already with these timed answers, there’s even less chance winning than by some random picking, because cheaters will find a way to abuse it…and with all these prizes it’ll be worth it!

One chance to ru… win them all. I never win stuff, so I probably won’t win this contest either.

But it’s a cool prize. Great job there, mr. PlayStation and people from marketing!

Why no sale on the Killzone:SF season pass??? :(
