New on PlayStation Store: LEGO Batman 3, PES 2015, Assassin’s Creed, more

Plus, Nidhogg, Terraria PS4, Tales of Hearts R and Costume Quest 2

November: the time of year where we’re drowning in great games vying for our time. The holidays couldn’t come any sooner!

To kick things off is the LEGO-morphed caped crusader Batman and friends in LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. DC Comics’ big bad Brainiac is doing his thing of hoarding miniaturised worlds, but Batman and other DC Comics heroes are here to save the day.

Moving onto the pitch, Konami is prepared to steal the crown in PES 2015. The first entry on PS4, PES 2015 boasts enhanced gameplay, amazing player likenesses and all the deep, satisfying football gameplay one could ask for.

Not wanting to settle on just one entry this year, this week we have Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Assassin’s Creed Unity. Settle for revenge in AC Rogue or dabble in some French history in AC Unity.

Elsewhere this week, look out for Mega Drive remake Pier Solar, popular side-scroller Terraria on PS4, acclaimed indie Nidhogg, arcade style Tennis in the Face (in the face!!), JRPG Tales of Hearts R, and a fistful of new discounts which all go live today.

See below for the full list of this week’s happenings.

When are the following titles getting on the SEN store?
PSP:
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (yes I know of 2.5 hd remake, but thats not playable on portable device is it? 😉 )
PoPoLoCrois
Tales of Eternia
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology
Thrillville
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
PS1:
Xenogears
Suikoden II

Why I keep asking (for the PSP ones), I got most of these on UMD, but I do not want to have to drag the PSP whit me in adition to the Vita. And for those that do not get (portable ie, Vita) remakes, it would be sad that people would not get to play them in the future. I adition, soon these could be fun to play on PS TV device. You know that poor device will need all the games it can get, just as the Vita.. Also added some games to the list by request.

Any new information on Cross Region Gifting.
Like steam have had for years.

I do mean gifts would have to be purchased as gift. (not transfearal of used). Kind of like how I can order a physical version from US and use it, I want o be able to buy a digital version (or DLC) on a american account and gift it to my main account as to not have to logg different acounts to manage my games.. Or to send gifts to a friend, or recive gifts from a friend.

Oh, and to anyone complaining about me reposting, if they (SCEE, Not other people) would just take time to reply, something like: We have brougt your suggestions to the correct people/departments. Id shut up (about the things in the post) for atleast a few months.

Ok this has to be a bot because if it’s not you literally have no life whatsoever.

    Shadowdragoon 12 November, 2014 @ 3:20 pm

Actually, I have the text pre-written, and I have found out that they release the post at same time each week, and it fits as right when I get back home, (if no troubles in traffic).

I’m afraid it isn’t a bot. In the US board, there’s a guy who keeps asking “Disgaea 2 sale” over and over again, and that happened for ages.

ps: i could’ve done something similar, but only because, in this blog, there’s a small “window” in which Jawad and other people take a look at these pages shortly after they’ve being posted, otherwise you’re toast until the next week. Once i get my replies, i simply move on.

    Prowler485 12 November, 2014 @ 5:25 pm

It’s the developers decision not Sony’s. One thing I can think of is that Kingdom Hearts BBS is not available for download because of licensing issues. This has happened for ALL Kingdom Hearts games, you won’t be able to find a download on PSN or eShop for Kingdom Hearts. It’s been speculated that the reason is because of Utada Hikaru, you’ll notice that her songs aren’t online anywhere and that her videos aren’t on Youtube too.

you can dream… i ‘ve dreamt to of chorno cross, or other PS1 and pS2 US RPG’s coming to euro PSN , but apparently, they totally dropped it , when u se the USA or french canadian store, its makes me wanna cry…

Christoff1985 12 November, 2014 @ 3:02 pm   2

Hi Jawad,

Is there any chance we get the same permanent price drop for all of the Escape Plan DLCs as the US got last week?

Many thanks in advance for Your kind reply!

Tuulenpoika 12 November, 2014 @ 3:03 pm   3

Alright, some questions.

First off, is there any possibility for some sort of “import games” treatment to some of the PSP games that never made their way to European PSN? Mainly games like Yggdra Union and other JRPGs Atlus made available years ago. It seems like the usual work to get these games to European PSN isn’t seen worth the trouble anymore, but if you’ve managed to get some of the PSOne titles as US import releases in European PSN, could the same treatment be executed with some PSP titles, as well?

Of course, some PS1 Classics could also benefit from that treatment, even though there wouldn’t be that kind of need, as the games were already published in Europe earlier… like Legend of Dragoon. And Breath of Fire IV. Are these at least considered?

The Mediatonic Bundle still isn’t available in many European countries. Any chance of fixing that?

And I happened to see a Puzzle Quest game for PSP on the PS TV compatibility list, but I’ve never seen the game in my country’s PSN. It seems that this is once again a game that has been only available in select countries. Any way to fix this?

Other than that, good stuff in the update. Still hoping for those PSP games to go on sale, though.

    Tuulenpoika 12 November, 2014 @ 3:05 pm

And I forgot: apparently some problems with SCEE’s approval process has hindered the prigress with Class of Heroes 2’s release in here, so much so that the developer has stated that it isn’t worth the trouble anymore. What could have possibly been the problem with a game that came out 1,5 years ago in US, and was meant to be released in Europe, too?

    Jawad Ashraf 12 November, 2014 @ 3:59 pm

Mediatonic Bundle is only available in a small amount of territories – I made a comment later to clarify.

Unfortunately, for imports and such I do not have control over them myself as these must go through various points within the business.

I also have no information to share with regards to Class of Heroes 2 for Europe. By the sounds of it it would need resubmitting to be considered for a release, which is of course up to the publisher.

    FreddyGPaulsen 12 November, 2014 @ 4:07 pm

Jawad, Where. Is. Costume. Quest. 2. For. The. PS4 ?

    Tuulenpoika 12 November, 2014 @ 4:09 pm

@Jawad Thanks for answering. Is there any way for the fans to get in touch with the people deciding on the game releases inside Sony to make their opinions heard? Publishers can invest their resources and time only so much, despite fans’ efforts to contact them.

    supersmith2500 12 November, 2014 @ 5:29 pm

Oh, you mean the PS4 version? I don’t know why only the PS3 version is released and not PS4. Contacting Midnight City on Twitter now for info.

    Unicronic 13 November, 2014 @ 3:22 am

Really there is no excuse. Almost 2015 and we’re still not seeing release parity. Sounds like the developer got shafted by SCEE.

Hi Jawad any chance of getting the Psone games The Legend of Dragoon and the Colony Wars games on the PS Store?

almighty-slayer 12 November, 2014 @ 3:04 pm   6

AC Unity sounds completely broken, technically. Save your £55.

    billy-beauts 12 November, 2014 @ 3:13 pm

Yup! I won’t buy AC Unity and I canceled my preorder for Far Cry 4. I’m pretty sure Rockstar cares about releasing a quality PlayStation optimised product, unlike Ubisoft.

    billy-beauts 12 November, 2014 @ 3:14 pm

So I changed my preorder to GTA 5.

    hitman_stephen 12 November, 2014 @ 3:20 pm

Don’t blame the developers, I’m pretty sure it’l be managers or someone higher up thats made it be released before fully testing/finished >_< #supportThedevs ( i just made that hashtag up, don't take it srs O_O )

    linselj34 12 November, 2014 @ 3:50 pm

I got the game a few days early and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
Yes, I’ve spotted a few more glitches than I’d like but nothing major at all.

save it till next month anyway.

not only will some of the issues have been patched (like ac3) the game will prob be one of the twelve deals of Christmas that we get.

Still no GTA: San Andreas HD, even after the PS2 Classic version has been removed from the store?

Also, that price for PES! Most retail outlets, including the likes of Argos in the UK, are selling the PS3 version for £25-£30, the PS4 version £35

I wouldn’t wait for it after reading about the 360 version issues, and the Steam update fiasco.

    KaneTheGoth 12 November, 2014 @ 3:49 pm

Lance… yeah, I saw that too. 17 songs got pulled! Shame 🙁

That’s not the problem, Kane. They downgraded the game, and modders had to fix it. About the songs, they did a HUGE mistake, something that goes against consumer rights: instead of removing the songs from NEW copies (like Vice City), they patched them out from people who bought the game years ago. Thank goodness it’s a PC game, it has MP3 support, they can be brought back, but still…

And the death off my wallet now begins -.- Assassins creed rouge/unity, dragons age, LBP3, GTA 5

Will be getting Senran kagura, terraria, Retro city rampage and a couple of PS4 games in the sale too 😀

Porcupeth00 12 November, 2014 @ 3:06 pm   9

Why does the PS access video say GTA V is out this week?

    madmanwithabox12 12 November, 2014 @ 3:15 pm

They thought Duke Nukem was out last week, which it technically was for a short time I think. But now for some legal BS or something it’s being held off on til January.

    linselj34 12 November, 2014 @ 3:53 pm

Because it’s out next Tuesday, so before the next official weekly update.

Maverick81PL 12 November, 2014 @ 3:06 pm   10

No Tales of Hearts R without DLC?? I want this game without DLC :-/

The DLC is a preorder bonus for physical. Digital version includes it anyway, doenst add to the story just costumes

I know it’s a bit early, but I wanna know if I should pre-order a physical copy or not, so can anyone on the PS store team tell me if Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd will have a digital download next week? (since it’s coming out on the 21st)

Nice price for TLOU digital GOTY on PS3. Might get it when it gets a discount though, just like i did for the Uncharted trilogy. I’ll probably have a bigger HDD by then, hopefully.

ScooterMix 12 November, 2014 @ 3:08 pm   13

A great update better last week wont be getting rampage until sale next year too much games a like whats coming out

CSR-Montoya 12 November, 2014 @ 3:08 pm   14

What is happening with PES “preload”; i have 4 downloads, 2 same 1.13GB updates and 2 PES 15 games on dashboard!?, both downloading, but different sizes: first is 18,6 and second 20,6GB, this one ask to pay preload again too…

Durban_Poison 12 November, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   15

Anybody know if the WWE 2K15 Digital Deluxe Edition for the PS4 is ever going to be available on the store?

There is two listings for terraria one at £15.49 and one at£12.99 what’s the difference bar the price?

Hi Jawad. Just wondering when or even if we can expect to see the preorder for LittleBigPlanet 3 on the store. Cheers!

So much scrolling…. Please make these blog post like the US blog. Thank you.

Oh wow, with no warning, Terraria on PS4! Ok, there was a post some time ago, but no date, etc.

By the way, do NOT buy AC Unity, it’s a buggy, glitchy game, and my second biggest buying regret, right after Destiny.

zalwelgoedgaan 12 November, 2014 @ 3:12 pm   20

The Vita version of Dragon’s Crown is also on sale, that one is €15 – €13,50 PS+.

Easily worth the money if you like multiplayer beat ’em ups.

madmanwithabox12 12 November, 2014 @ 3:13 pm   21

Nothing for me this week. I may pick up Nidhogg when the price comes down and Tales of Hearts R can wait – Freedom Wars is owning my Vita. =D

Will be getting LB3 and the Season Pass on PS3 sometime soon, but disappointed with regards to the Vita version being a watered-down port to fit in with Nintendo’s weaker hardware. It’s a damn shame to see such fine hardware always being held back because the 3DS is too weak. As a huge DC Comics nerd it would be an absolute dream to have the proper LB3 game on Vita, available where ever I go. It’s also really annoying that the Vita version doesn’t get the DLC, especially since there’s “PlayStation exclusive” Batman Beyond DLC. Vita’s a PlayStation too. Shocking, I know. =/

Serious question: Are we even getting Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Dragon Fantasy II or 1001 Spikes?

About 1001 Spikes: It should be here soon. I remember reading that it should follow the release of Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. On another hand – Nicalis promised it should arrive during summer. Well, to their defence, maybe there’s a summer in our hearts, forever… waiting to get impaled by spikes. Over 1000 of them. Goddammit, I really want that game on my Vita.

@Jawad
Mr. Jawad would you be so kind to check one of DLCs for Freedom Wars?

Warren Steetwear
https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/pl-pl/freedom-wars-warren-streetwear/cid=EP9000-PCSF00446_00-E000100PRM021MST

In NA it is free DLC and in EU it is paid one, isn’t it some kind of mistake? Also would it be possible to change the name or description of it? In NA it clearly says that it is only additional colour pallet… we don’t have any description… and from the name one can think that DLC unlocks some teamate named Warren 😛 Kinda misleading 🙂

Anyway thank you for reading.

Yeah, it’s a color palette only, but the name suggest it’s a costume. It fooled me and many other gamers out there. No screenshots, no description and misleading name – honestly if it wasn’t for the fact it was cheap I would call for a refund, because that’s just false advertisement.

amphaze-EX 12 November, 2014 @ 3:13 pm   23

This is the third time i buy Terraria, PC, PsVita and now PS4. Great game. And Vita owners support the #jrpgvita initiative buying Tales :)Shahid Ahmad did a great job!

UAE-WAHDAWI 12 November, 2014 @ 3:14 pm   24

where’s the wolf among us for PS vita -_-

    supersmith2500 12 November, 2014 @ 7:36 pm

It’s on the Store. Just they didn’t have it listed down on the blog post.

jon_h_blake 12 November, 2014 @ 3:14 pm   25

Killzone Mercenary for psvita 9,99 eur!! Everybody should have this game. And with that price you must have it.

Not a bad week. Not a bad week at all. If only I didn’t spend this month’s game budget on that huge The Last of Us statue box they found gathering dust from storage room of my local game store… 😉

And if you don’t own Killzone Mercenary, it’s a steal for that price. I already own a retail copy, but am tempted to buy digital edition too for that price. It’s an amazing game. (I was on beta and bought retail copy since I loved the game – but it’s still sealed as I have a huge backlog and full memory card >_>’ but based on beta and all the recommendations it has got, I can recommend it to any one who loves FPS or wants to support AAA Vita games :D)

CRASHBASHUK 12 November, 2014 @ 3:14 pm   27

do you know if any more games will be on PlayStation TV?

Costume Quest ONLY for PS3. What? Where is the PS4 version?

Creciente 12 November, 2014 @ 3:16 pm   29

Good day. Would you be so kind to confirm whether 3 additional costumes (that are not included in retail Soma Link Edition) for Tales of Hearts R are exclusive to PS Store?

    Tuulenpoika 12 November, 2014 @ 3:24 pm

They are a pre-order bonus at some participating retailers. Depends from the country, in the UK many usual Internet game shops have them, but for example in Nordic countries, freaking Gamestop has the exclusive deal with Tales DLC again.

Now I know it’s nobodies fault who runs this blog, but…where the hell is Costume Quest 2 for PS4? What frustrates me is that I can easily pick this up on any other format or if I wanted to from any other regions PSN for the machine. Seriously, sort this out!

Where’s the PS4 version of Costume Quest 2?

guitardevil6 12 November, 2014 @ 3:17 pm   32

Hi Jawad, when will Home be released for PS4/Vita? Been on the US store since before Halloween

hitman_stephen 12 November, 2014 @ 3:17 pm   33

Saw someone reviewing and playing Tales of hearts R on Vita, i’m definitely getting it! Sometime in the future, after i finish and play these other 30 games i have. O_O but yeh, looking forward to it!

Any update on Pinball Arcade packs 29 and 30? America got them two weeks ago. Farsight mentioned you told them they would go live in Europe today. Given how atrocious the release schedules have been for these in the past, I would like to avoid another months-long wait for them.

P.S. I think you’ve underpriced the Zen Core pack. It’s meant to be £7.99.

Sweet, I already bought it at €2.99. That’s 3X4 tables, so 25 cents per table.

Porcupeth00 12 November, 2014 @ 3:19 pm   35

Oh and nice KZ Mercenary deal.

No PS4 version of Costume Quest 2?

Lioris_13 12 November, 2014 @ 3:20 pm   37

Does anyone know if preloading is enabled for Dragon Age on PS4?

Download hasn’t started for me yet. from past pre-orders the game begins to pre-load 3-5 days before release

andrewsqual 12 November, 2014 @ 3:23 pm   38

Nice solid week. Never checked out Retro City Rampage before. Also I didn’t realise Codemaster’s Toybox Turbos would be out so soon 🙂

1001 Spikes???
Mutant Mudds Deluxe ???

Any news would be great as it’s been months since there US release and not a single word!
Will it even be this year??

*** HELP!! I’M HAVING PROBLEMS WITH RETRO CITY RAMPAGE DX!! ***

I bought RCR DX on the PSN Store using my PC a couple of hours ago, but each time I try to download the game on my Vita, it says:

‘Cannot download using this system’

Whether trying to download directly or via my Download List, it’s still the same 🙁

    toktoktoktok 12 November, 2014 @ 4:31 pm

Same issue here, bought it on my Vita and just see 2 versions that cannot be downloaded in my download list, probably the Ps3 and ps4 versions. Pretty annoying!

Just bought Retro City Rampage DX to discover this issue too. So I head to the blog and here we are, someone else with the same issue.
Disappointing to say the least, really hope It’s fixed soon.

    Jawad Ashraf 12 November, 2014 @ 5:06 pm

Download problems should be fixed soon, if not already for some. Let me know if this persists.

Yep, the two that show up on Vita are actually the PS3 and PS4 versions, which is why you can’t download them.

I assume the problem that “Should be fixed” is someone needs to go round to the other office and remind the server dude he needs to upload the Vita version.

    Prowler485 12 November, 2014 @ 5:13 pm

    Same issue. So annoying.

    r4schlosser 12 November, 2014 @ 6:34 pm

Same issue here, Retro City Rampage DX (PS Vita Version) cannot be downloaded. 🙁

    TrueMurton 12 November, 2014 @ 9:01 pm

You guys shouldn’t have bought DX anyway. Bow the games industry is going to think its totally fine to take a patch, package it up as an alleged remake and charge for it. Because that’s what DX is, every other platform receives it as a free patch and you lot have just paid a tenner for it…

    marcofrosa 12 November, 2014 @ 9:25 pm

Still with the same problem here in Portugal

    Aces73High 13 November, 2014 @ 8:18 am

Still not working Jawad! What to do?????

Yep, same problem for me still this morning. Still, I’ve got 24hours before the flight I bought it to play on!

The download list gives a clue on the web store. It lists PS4, PS3 and …… PS3 again.

    Assuming it’ll let me post links here’s a screenshot – http://cl.ly/image/3T2P1n3l1x0y

    Aces73High 13 November, 2014 @ 9:46 am

    — askduds

Well that sounds like the problem then. This ain’t right fella

I’m in hospital right now after major surgery on Monday, and with 70 metal clips keing my stomach together, I’m in a lot of pain. But for me, I’d prefer playing a new indie game on my Vita than being dosed up on morphine and anti-sickness meds. But PSN isn’t playing ball 🙁

    Aces73High 13 November, 2014 @ 9:47 am

That was meant to say ‘keeping’ my stomach together. Damn these drugs!

Worked for me just now via the Vita.

    Get Well Soon Aces73High.

Aces73High 12 November, 2014 @ 3:24 pm   41

Any idea’s Jawad, Bloggers???

Try downloading the vita version to your ps3 and transferring it over (if you have one), or it may not be ready to download for vita on their servers yet?

FelixAndrews 12 November, 2014 @ 3:25 pm   42

Nidhogg download is busted on Vita – in my download list, I have a ‘NIDHOGG000000000’ listed, but it cannot be downloaded. Please get a fix out! Please test your stuff! Please!

Ryan191991 12 November, 2014 @ 3:26 pm   43

Hi Jawad,

Could I ask why there is a movie advertisement (for X-Men I believe) under the TV and Media apps section of the PS4 home screen?

It seems that this is going to get cluttered fast if Video Unlimited is going to be promoted in three places (the What’s New section, adverts in the TV and Media section, as well as the un-removable Video Unlimited app on the main home screen).

Please don’t turn the promotion of Sonys own apps and services into a SingStar situation (on a related note, thanks for not placing that on the PS4 home screen).

Also, would it be possible that under the TV and Media app section that we can specify which apps go there? Seems redundant that not only are they categorised there (with the exception of the two mentioned above) but they are not also in a cetegory in the library, and are automatically added to your home screen when they’re released.

    Kotatsu2000 12 November, 2014 @ 8:12 pm

I completely agree. I was disgusted when I saw the app section now has a giant ad in it which cannot be deleted. The last thing any of us want is for the PS4 dashboard to become an ad infested mess like the Xbox.

ScooterMix 12 November, 2014 @ 3:28 pm   44

why people saying ACU broken? i seen it on stream it looks fine anyways shareplay broken a lot publishers block there games sony should ask before did shareplay its comment sense .

homerjnick 12 November, 2014 @ 3:31 pm   45

Trend Micro Web Security Service for PlayStation 4

Eh? What’s that about? How does that protect you and from what?

    MaxDiehard 12 November, 2014 @ 4:15 pm

It basically restricts web access, stopping explicit content. Mainly for those who have kids that use the console and web access.

    MaxDiehard 12 November, 2014 @ 4:16 pm

£12.99 for Terraria for a third time? No thanks.

chellesan 12 November, 2014 @ 3:31 pm   46

finally pier solar is on the store, and the tales of hearts for vita looks great

No AC Unity Season Pass?
