Tiny Troopers Joint Ops out tomorrow on PS4

Bursting with over 50 maps of action packed mini-mayhem

Hi PlayStation Bloggers! Great News! Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is out tomorrow on PS4. If you’ve already purchased the game on PS3 or PS Vita, you can also get Tiny Troopers Joint Ops on the PS4 for FREE.

Bursting with over 50 maps of action packed mini-mayhem, Tiny Troopers Joint Ops delivers bite-size gaming on the go, with all three versions being cross buy and cross save enabled, which means that anyone purchasing one format will also be able to download the others at no extra cost.

We’ve also put together some useful hints and tips to assist you on your tour of duty. Take a look below:

Survival Missions — In survival mission, your main objective is to try and stay alive long enough to fend off the waves of enemy soldiers (or zombies!), try to hold back from picking up the health packs too quickly. Picking up the health packs too early will leave you without anything to fall back on. Use your health packs strategically and wait until the very last minute to make use of this life-saving collectable item. Once your troopers are gone, they’re gone.

Vehicle Missions — In vehicle missions, take care when taking on enemy soldiers. Ranged attacks are great, but you may end up throwing grenades only for your tank to drive straight into them! Kaboom! Killed by your own grenades. Sad times.

Time Based Missions — Time based missions provide you with a fixed amount of time to complete the mission. Seeking out and collecting all the items available in these missions can soak up valuable time. It might be worth having a quick play through these missions to identify all the collectables. When you jump into these missions again, you’ll know where the items are and in turn save time finding them.

Grenades and Rockets — If you’ve picked up or purchased grenades and (or) rockets be sure to use these wisely. Grenades and rockets are perfect for taking out enemy buildings so be sure to save these for the right moment. You can also make use of the landmines placed around these structures by using your ranged weapons. This can also help with taking out multiple enemies at once.

Other Useful Tips — Levelling up your troopers can be a complicated affair. What do you level up first? How much do you increase each element? The simplest way to approach this is to ensure you level up consistently. High on your priority should be your squad’s speed of movement and firing range. This will allow you greater flexibility on the battlefield as well as the ability to take on enemies from a greater distance.

Do you love collecting EVERYTHING? Are you fastidious in your pursuit of collectables? In Tiny Troopers Joint Ops we recommend that once you’ve completed a mission, you jump straight back in! “Straight back in,” you say? Yep! Go back and replay the level you’ve just completed and make sure you’ve picked up every collectable available. This is very useful in timed missions where you don’t have the luxury of freely exploring the map.

Finally, are you running low on Command Points or medals? A good way to get these back up is replaying previously completed missions. The best ones tend to be the vehicle missions where you’re required to take out waves of enemy soldiers.

What are you waiting for, soldier? Get to it!

The game is fun, but please patch the Vita version. Too often your fellow soldiers get stuck between trees and all sorts of objects/geometry. It’s annoying that you’ve made it so far into a mission, but one of your soldier buddies won’t leave his location.

That, and Vita custom soundtrack support. The game is pretty quiet most of the time. :/

I feel sorry for small games like this to release alongside Dragon Age, Far Cry and GTAV. They lose sales day 1 and it sucks.

Soooooo Cannon Fodder then……

Loved it on Amiga…

“Out tomorrow on PS4”

I’ll believe it when I see the store listing with my own eyes; not a moment before

Sadly that’s the way the EU store works, or rather doesn’t work. It’s all well and good developers coming here on the blog to tell us all about their new game, the unfortunate truth is that far too often what is said and what actually happened are two very different things.

In the last 6 months we’ve seen
CastleStorm PS4 released at almost double the price the developer stated – and we know it was a mistake on SCEE’s part because the same thing at on the US store, except they fixed it after an hour or two.
CrimsonLand not being cross buy when it’s supposed to be – the 10Tons website still says its cross buy, but it isn’t.
Far too many games release a week or even months after their announced dates.

So yeah, I’m with Steven on this one. I’ll believe the game is out when it is actually out because through no fault of their own developers on this blog are made to look like complete fools by the SCEE store team letting them down. The sole exception to this is that RCR DX guy who needed ...

Hi StevenJamesHyde – TTJO on PS4 should now be available in the PSN store alongside the Vita and PS3 versions. Again, you will get 3 versions when purchasing any platform.

I’m quite baffled a game called JOINT OPS doesn’t have co-op.

…maybe they mean that ‘other’ joint… >_>

Does this game have trophies?

Does it have trophies?

Hey Les, yep it does

7.3

Hi LesTom1 Yes we do have trophies as kindly pointed out by frodouk

Purchased this recently for the PS3 with VITA cross-buy. Will I have to pay extra now to play on PS4 (doesn’t the cross buy cover the PS4 too?).

8.1

Hi JonTtrx Apologies for the late reply! In answer to your question, No you wont have to pay extra for the PS4 version. The PS4 version is included in the cross buy deal, so you get PS3, PS4 and the Vita version all for £5.79. If you have pulled down either the Vita or PS3 version already, you should able to redeem the PS4 at not extra cost.
