Irresistible Black Friday discounts hit PlayStation Store today!

Save on Destiny, Alien: Isolation, FIFA 15, Diablo III, Middle-Earth, more

Okay, so we know Black Friday is more of an American thing, but discounts are definitely an internationally acceptable tradition, right?

Starting in the early hours of Friday morning and running for this weekend only you’ll find some awesome discounts on some awesome games. Maybe you missed out on a deal for Transistor recently? Now’s your chance to get it at a lower price once more. Or maybe you need something awesome and cheap for your PS Vita. Well, it would be a disservice not to jump on Gravity Rush at such a low price.

There’re numerous other great games to pick from, but remember, most of these deals will end come Monday, so make haste!

Genuinely not impressed, and at the same time, much relieved by that.

Any sale is better than no sale!

    Mario__4__Life 27 November, 2014 @ 11:52 pm

Like if you want Sony to go in WAR with ANdroid/Ipad who stole A BILLION GAMERS from Sony!

    jokerduo3 28 November, 2014 @ 6:46 am

@ Mario_4_Life could we stop with the pointless comments about Sony Vs Android & Apple there aiming at two totally different markets, Gamers and people who need a PHONE plus Sony never had a “BILLION GAMERS” to lose in the first place.

Hey Sony you do know it is the 28th of Dec not the 1st of April right?

When are you going to actually do the proper sale… these ‘deals’ must be some kind of practical joke … the only problem is nobody is laughing.

    So just to clarify:-

1/ PS/4 must have PS+ for online play
2/ Crappy games for PS3 owners and less of them
3/ Sales that are the festive equivalent of finding a lump of coal in your xmas stocking

If you going to give PS+ subscribes crap and reduce the quality but keep the price the same at the very least you could equalize the scale and quantity of discounts the US customers get.

@Mario__4__Life no android didn’t…. they are all getting very happy at the steam store laughing themselves silly about how poor the prices are for the console market.

Obviously those of us former PS3 boys do offer a moments silence for the tragedy that is the sony IGC and their terrible sales. Then again it is only a moment as a lot of us are busy playing ‘Sonic all star racing transfrormed’ which was part of a humble bundle for $1.

Can you actually buy anything on the Sony sale for a $1??

People really ought to stop comparing the Humble Bundle with sales. This is hurting. The Humble Bundle is not and has never been (outside of the Humble Store) a sale or discount. No. The Humble Bundle is an incentive. You give out money to charity, and as a reward, you get shiny games. Or not so shiny, sometimes. And that, of course, includes shiny books and soundtracks.

This said, I’m not particularly busy playing Sonic Kart, as I got it in my IGC over a year ago. Which is good, because I’m very excited about these sales and see a few items that I’ve been waiting on and won’t hesitate to grab.
We even have better deals than the US on some titles. Most of them, actually.

    andrewsqual 28 November, 2014 @ 11:16 am

Well there you go Chris Howe. I said here 2 weeks ago to not give “Mario__4__Life”, aka “AlemanGC”, aka “gta5rockt”, the time of day here on this post in the first comment http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/11/12/big-savings-ps4-games-start-today-double-discounts-ps-plus-members/

And low and behold here he is now stabbing Sony in the back yet again. But I have to admit I am completely shocked. Don’t you (Mario__4__Life) normally only show up on Wednesdays? Oh what am I saying, this is a Sales post, of course you are here. Seriously though, the Android thing again? Just when we think you are done with the same nonsense over and over, you bring that irrelevancy up again?

@masayers Cheapskate, Humble Bundle games are incentives for charity and you low-ball them for 1$, shame on you.

Get a life Mario, we’ve had enough of your silliness.

EmperorLawlight 27 November, 2014 @ 11:19 pm   2

Nothing irresistible here.

    Mario__4__Life 27 November, 2014 @ 11:37 pm

Your reply is boring too, always the same complaining every week (not just you). At least get creative when you need to complain! 😀

    andrewsqual 28 November, 2014 @ 11:05 am

Yeah EmperorLawlight. At least throw in an mp3 or not being able to listen to language learning audio complaint, you know? 🙂

    icecrasher_zero 28 November, 2014 @ 8:39 pm

You know what I hate about this blog? Pointless and stupid Mario__4__Life comments. One day he/she/it is biggest sony enemy and another day it licks ****. There should be option to mark comments as spam. Hate people using fake accounts.

I don’t know guys, Persona 4 Golden and Gravity Rush look pretty irresistible for those prices if you ask me, especially Gravity Rush for only 4 euros. Already have it, but I will most definitely keep my eyes out for Persona.

    EmperorLawlight 27 November, 2014 @ 11:29 pm

Persona 4: Golden is the same price as the physical copy. Gravity Rush was free on PS+ a while ago.

    Porcupeth00 27 November, 2014 @ 11:31 pm

My physical copy of P4G cost me 30€ last month.

    stevencavagan 28 November, 2014 @ 12:21 am

Can you link to where it is available at £9.60 for a retail copy please.

    eugenius8 28 November, 2014 @ 1:09 am

P4G is half the price of the physical version, I’m tempted to get a digital version for convenience. I have GR on PS+, but at that price I may as well buy it, I spent more on the DLC when it was on sale lol.

    EmperorLawlight 28 November, 2014 @ 1:11 pm

Dunno about other countries but P4G is AU$23 at ebgames.

In UK, the cheapest you can get P4G *new* is £17.50 (Amazon) – that’s using a price comparative website.

    bubble_boy01 28 November, 2014 @ 7:40 pm

@EmperorLawlight It’s listed on their website but has been out of stock for >6 months. Cheapest way you’ll get a physical copy in Aus is via Amazon, and that’s a little bit more than the digital price here

Porcupeth00 27 November, 2014 @ 11:22 pm   4

Glad to see Totori on sale

Also Akiba’s trip, Natural Doctrine and Alien isolation… nice sales

    hitman_stephen 28 November, 2014 @ 9:15 am

Akiba and Doctrine are tempting me too!

    terrion_1989 28 November, 2014 @ 9:34 am

Akiba’s Trip is one of the worst games I’ve played in years. I gave it a 3/10 on the website I work for. Bad controls, terrible graphics, invisible walls everywhere, lame storyline…and so on and so on.

    Porcupeth00 28 November, 2014 @ 10:43 am

I don’t care, looks good to me.

I would like to see sale on all Sony Computer Entertainment-published titles to celebrate SCE’s 21st anniversary and PlayStation’s 20th anniversary!

Not a bad sale btw, time forme to pick up Rayman Legends on PS Vita I think.

    Mario__4__Life 27 November, 2014 @ 11:37 pm

Yeah good idea I think steam now has thousands of games on sale, I would like to see this some day at Sony also!

AlphaSpookster 27 November, 2014 @ 11:31 pm   6

I wonder who is in charge of the conversion rates. Alot of these games are the same numbers on the US store but in dollars Even if you add a processing fee to websites you can get the game cheaper from the US store.

Still no discount on Plants vs Zombies (Vita)? Really disappointing..
Please make it happen soon!

Finally going to pick up Entwined. Been waiting for a Sale on that!

These deals aren’t irresistible – they are terrible. Nearly everything here has been cheaper elsewhere (and at launch sometimes to). These should be the pre-sale prices not the post sale ones

    terrion_1989 28 November, 2014 @ 9:35 am

Agreed. Most of these games I can get cheaper in the local gamestore.

I think they’re waiting for the Playstation Experience Event to release their first incredible PS4 sale. Just compare the Playstation Plus-games of december (PS4 first AAA-game and an indie, PS3 Three AAA-games and an indie etc.)

As usual America destroys us on deals and prices.. Same games pretty much but you swapped dollar signs for pounds.. Lazy and ripoff nearly every game here is on sale in physical format elsewhere for nearly half the price.

Sidenote though at least we got vita games *insert sarcastic woo here*

    TrueMurton 28 November, 2014 @ 12:16 am

You were making a good point right up until you claimed to have seen games half the price of these at retail. Please tell me where you’ve seen Destiny Digital Guardian Edition (which includes the season pass) for less than 40 quid? Or where you’ve seen Shadow Warrior for under a tenner? Maybe TWD PS4 for a fiver each season? Honestly, I want to know which shop is selling these less than half price PS4 games.

Exaggerations like this don’t do anyone any favours, just make people look foolish.

    azzatronics 28 November, 2014 @ 7:31 am

Some of these ‘sales’ for Australian customers are disappointing. Destiny on PS4 digitally costs $100 before and $70 now. I payed $70 for the physical version at launch.

However some of the deals are OK. But just OK. Considering the type of day it is in America, you would expect not only a more selection of games but also slightly cheaper prices (In not asking for much more of a discount. Just $3-$5 off most things).

I suppose what im trying to get at is that We get shafted as Australians and as a whole compared to the American store. For one why do they advertise digital versions of games at $100 compared to the retail physical copy at $70.

Hope Christmas sales will cover Moor games.

    doublelime 28 November, 2014 @ 9:06 am

TrueMurton, ever check amazon for prices?
Destiny PS3 £29+Season pass £34.99 is 63.99. Sony are selling it for 64.99. Of course you could buy the game used and save a couple of pounds. Having a physical copy is better, and its cheaper compared to the psn store during a ‘sale’. You can also trade in the game when you are done

Destiny PS4: £26.50 used from amazon warehouse deals. Including the season pass thats 61.49, again a lot cheaper than 69.99, and better.
A lot of the other ‘deals’ are actually offensive towards us all.

    TrueMurton 29 November, 2014 @ 12:20 am

    @doublelime

Yes, I have seen Amazon prices, but that’s not relevant to the idiotic claim made above. He said that these games are available for half their sale price at retail, they’re not. Even the best you could come up with was only a couple of quid using a second hand copy from an online retailer who isn’t charging VAT.

Some great deals here!
At least 3-5 games I will possibly buy.
Can’t please all the people all the time!

Vita sales are pretty good. PS4? Erm, no. I get that you don’t want to annoy the retailers, but I’m never going to pay more/the same for Digital as physical, it just doesn’t make sense. Big meh from me.

preskerd341 28 November, 2014 @ 12:06 am   13

I think I can go with blazblue. it looks like cheap with %20 plus discount

TrueMurton 28 November, 2014 @ 12:08 am   14

The discounts on some games merely bring them down to the US non-sale price if the exchange rate was actually observed. The US are having much deeper discounts too.

Shadow Warrior looks like a good deal but only because it was released at double price to begin with, but at 16 quid I’ll pick it up. Will give the list a proper look when I know how much I can reasonably spend.

@Jawad_Ashraf , I wish if all the info up there was written inside a schedule as in the US forum, because its just gonna make reading it much MUCH easier!! 🙁

anyway I was hoping that “Shadow of Mordor” would get higher discount than what its got right now ..

The digital PS4 prices continues to be a joke, incredibly expensive at sale prices when you compare to what these games can be found for physically.

The three items i might be looking to buy, i cannot seem to buy due to PSN’s usually half baked effort. I cannot purchase Rayman Legends for PS4, there is no buy button at all. Futhermore there does not seem to be applied any PS+ discount to The Walking Dead Season 1 & 2, making it quite uncompelling to purchase.

I really want to go digital with my PlayStation 4, but the prices European customers have to pay far exceed their retail cost.

Sony, please allow more outlets to sell digital copies of games where you don’t control the pricing, it’s a really bad monopoly right now.

    stevencavagan 28 November, 2014 @ 12:37 am

If you wait on the page for about 30 secs then the Buy Now button usually appears, I’m guessing the plus discounts will be applied tomorrow morning now.

    Coody-Baroody 28 November, 2014 @ 9:03 am

Sony DO NOT control 3rd party publishers prices. All the proof you need is in Sonys 1st party game prices. Example, last gen, PS3, all EA, Ubisoft, Activision games were and still ARE £59.99 at launch.

The Last Of Us launched at £39.99.

They always said they don’t control 3rd party prices and I didn’t believe them until I started seeing more n more Sony games published digitally and all for the same price as you can get the game at retail.

Don’t believe me just look up Sony games on the store yourself.

    Shapeshifter_dan 28 November, 2014 @ 3:09 pm

Shhhhh Coody-Barody, it’s easier to blame Sony than address personal shortcomings.

Some people are really dumb consumers but it’s too funny to watch them give consumerism “lessons” to another people. They really think they know better than others.

    It’s like a car-crash happening, can’t turn my eyes away! 🙂

@Coody-Baroody All people will see from that comment is “blah blah blahblahblah blah blah blah” you’re correct of course but no-one can actually think for themselves

Akiba’s Trip and… and… Maybe RO ACE, but… that’s it.

preskerd341 28 November, 2014 @ 12:30 am   18

the %10-%20 ps-plus discounts are missing in the Turkey psn. just let you know

Mass Effect trilogy for £11.99 with an additional 10%? Awesome!

When will the PS+ discounts be applied please? (the magic word which seems to be missing from a lot of these posts!)

    Porcupeth00 28 November, 2014 @ 12:43 am

Yeah they’re not there for some reason

Worse yet, the deals that ran until tomorrow had their PS+ discounts missing for the entirety of today as well

    Dunno what’s up with that.

bluemoon1987 28 November, 2014 @ 12:40 am   21

Was eagerly anticipating this sale, all ready to pick up 4/5 games to see me through the Christmas period, for some reason i had convinced myself this wouldn’t be like usual “sales” we’d get a few good prices comparable to the U.S but nope. Can pick up every other game im interested in for about £10 cheaper than these elsewhere. So disappointing. Lets pray for a decent 12 days of Christmas sale.

Quick Question:
I´m really intrested in P4G Vita. My problem: my right analog stick isn´t working anymore. Can i play the game without problems without the right stick? I read somewhere you can rotate the cam with the stick AND the l/r buttons. is that true?

Yeah, the right stick isn’t needed at all for P4G.

    donpureevil 28 November, 2014 @ 8:52 am

    thanks for the info Lunarmon!

some of the games doesn’t have the extra PS plus discount that’s mention

    preskerd341 28 November, 2014 @ 12:52 am

non of them have ps plus discount for me either. I was so pumped up about 1-2 games which have extra %20 ps plus edition but now I am dissapointed 🙁

    eugenius8 28 November, 2014 @ 1:03 am

There’s nearly always a delay, just hope they sort it out soon -_-

G33ks1nL0ve 28 November, 2014 @ 12:54 am   24

You cant access the Watch Dogs PS4 Season Pass on the store right now, I want to buy it, Sony just wont let me lol.

Bought Akiba’s trip on disc last week for £22, DAMNIT! Oh well they say 20% dlc free but most of the costumes were free anyay and there’s nothing in the paid ones that really piques my interest.

Generally speaking costumes in Japanese games never have appealed to me. But the one I take offense at is Hatsune Miku project diva 2nd f, £35 for the game that we had to wait ages for, and already there’s a day one song season pass for £19. BOOO!

Greedy sega is greedy, still at least they released it on actual disc this time. I’ll still be waiting 10 years time for a uakuza 5 port no doubt.

Wow, Sony’s European division actually remembers that the Vita exists! Now go tell SCEA.

Lords of the Fallen was on sale earlier today. But now it’s back up with it’s old previous price tag. Will it get reduced later on tomorrow again?

SaiGunslinger 28 November, 2014 @ 2:15 am   28

It would nice a plus subscription with some discount.

The PS Plus discounts are still not active, tweeted PS Australia and no reply. Should we hold off until the discounts have been added? I don’t particularity want to purchase now when I could save money waiting.

pavelbagirov 28 November, 2014 @ 2:38 am   30

Please change price in russian ps store(Alien Isolation season pass)nothing has changed…price is same..

bedroomhat 28 November, 2014 @ 3:26 am   31

Nice! Soul sacrifice delta and gravity rush are on sale.

hurricaneoil 28 November, 2014 @ 3:31 am   32

You can get the PS4 titles from amazon.co.uk for the same price they are on sale here! I would love to go all digital but the prices remain ridiculously high when compared to the disc prices and even more insane when compared to what the USA pays.

pavelbagirov 28 November, 2014 @ 3:34 am   33

If someone can answer…If I buy alien isolation season pass on ps3,I get it for free on ps4?And in next dlc developers planned to add trophies?Same question is about Watch dogs season pass..if I buy for ps3,on ps4 I get for free?Already thanks for the answers)) P.S. Sony fix problem with alien isolation season pass price/still impossible to buy watch dogs season pass/and add 10-20% ps plus discounts.

LOL Destiny’s “sale” price, even that standard price is ridiculous! I’d be kicking myself if I paid that much for it digitally.

I still can get the games cheaper on a disc than from this “sale”… Huge dissapointment.

ghettokid1987 28 November, 2014 @ 4:25 am   36

The Amazing Spider-Man Gold Edition (PS3) not available in Russian PSNstore, only standard without any discount.

Also there is no discount for Beyond: Two Souls.

LimeyPolo 28 November, 2014 @ 4:44 am   37

I AM SO ENTHUSIASTIC, this sale is amazing! I’ll spend so much and even items i wouldn’t normally buy! To think a normal sale here is GOOD, they is just breathtaking in comparison.

So you say Watch Dogs Bad Blood and Season Pass is on sale yet Bad Blood is not available for purchase and the Season Pass is gone

LakomyLidumil 28 November, 2014 @ 5:41 am   39

SONY we need to talk… THIS IS NOT SALE… When retail prices is the same or lower. Do you think that we are fools?

Wolfenstein: The New Order PS3 is missing from Russian Store

LordNimon99 28 November, 2014 @ 6:09 am   41

The prices for most of the AAA retail games are not worth it unless you have an aversion to discs (hardly a sale unless you compare to the stupidly high default prices). In any case, I won’t be purchasing anything until the PS+ discounts are working, then Sony might see $100 of my hard earned for Trials, Transistor, Walking Dead, Rayman, OctoDad, Shadow Warrior and maybe more.

Anything that is at retail can be found cheaper at retail still. The same price at worst.

This is not a sale for any of those items.

A few days ago I bought a physical copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4) for 30€ and that wasn’t even a sale. Drop the original prices, because 70€ for a digital release just offensive for the consumer. Maybe then the sales will be more appealing.

N3M3S1S75 28 November, 2014 @ 6:25 am   44

The additional plus discount doesn’t appear to be showing up on AU store

Yeah PlayStation Australia replied to my tweet, stating I should sign out and try again later. Not much help, but it’s the best advice I can give you sadly.

The Alien Isolation season pass isn’t actually discounted (at least in UK store)… Shame, that and the base game are the only things I’m really interested at here…

SwingerE11 28 November, 2014 @ 6:43 am   46

There’s no ps+ discount on the vita games

DarkArchoNx66 28 November, 2014 @ 6:47 am   47

Sorry, but I am gonna have to resist…Really though, there’s not much temptation. Nothing really that interests me since I don’t own a Ps4 and I’m not going to for at least another year. I could get Middle earth but no Ps4 so..Other than that, the only ps3 game that caught my eye is beyond two souls. And that the last time I checked amazon, was way cheaper. Who knows there might even be a better deal soon enough, and perhaps I’ll go with that and the psychical copy of the game.

Not even remotely interesting or hard. Win win situation..And I am abiding what I have stated in the past about the online sales. I would be a fool to turn down a better offer, but that’s obviously not the case. And I don’t like digital games to be more expensive and the hassle to download and install..Thank you for making that easier than I would have expected.

    DarkArchoNx66 28 November, 2014 @ 7:11 am

oh, and I got the mail about destiny this morning before checking the blog. I knew about how bad it’d probably be, and I was right. Honestly though, I was kind hopeful about today’s sale..Perhaps amazon or steam will be more appealing.

    DarkArchoNx66 28 November, 2014 @ 8:24 am

update..really good offers at steam store. Might be a good idea for anyone with a decent pc. I made my purchases for the day. Haven’t checked out amazon though yet. but fingers crossed for Ac Rogue or Far cry 4.

I’ll answer to you’re thread so it doesn’t look like you’re talking to your self.

Not impressed by BF sale on Steam store, Styx and Mordor same price as in PSN store, The Evil Within only 5€ cheaper on Steam, considering 10€(or more) higher strarting price of these games on console, you could consider these PSN discounts as better ones. So dissapointed again at Steam why cant they have comparble discount % on new games as PSN!!!111!!!!!11!!!!111!!! /S

    DarkArchoNx66 29 November, 2014 @ 6:26 am

And why would that be a bad thing hehe…Well, I wasn’t looking to converse with anybody, just putting down my thoughts. You’re right, the big latest games aren’t much cheaper, but they are which always positive. There are good games, older games at very good prices though. Also, strategy games which I like and bought a couple of them..Anyway, while I am not too fond of digital games, I thought it may be a good idea for convenience. Otherwise I would have suggested amazon(uk) where the deals are significantly better but a bit inconvenient for people outside UK that is if you don’t mind waiting..From my experience is complicated getting something from overseas hence a bit of a hesitation, but things may be better elsewhere.

salvogdaze 28 November, 2014 @ 6:58 am   48

Great sale actually, I’ve seen over 50% sale on some new games in there, I don’t know what these people are complaining about. Who complains about a sale anyway?

Anywho… Time to definitely get Transistor and Valiant Hearts for me!

50% sale on new games? Well, those games were already overpriced in the PSN Store and you can still get the physical games cheaper than this sale, which you can lend to friends and resell if you so choose.

Physical > Digital, unless the price is right.

    TrueMurton 28 November, 2014 @ 8:10 am

Someone else that does have this ridiculous notion that his local retailer is simply giving away games at whole sale prices.

Honestly, the only valid conplaint to be had here is that the sale merely matches the price the games should have been, same as US with proper exchange rate and in the case of Shadow Warrior, same price it releases on PC over a year ago. The rest of the deals are great and there’s a good 60 quid worth of stuff on my list there, possibly 70. Hopefully I have the funds as my bank have failed to send my new credit card which expires this weekend so might not be accepted.

Bacon_Crispies 28 November, 2014 @ 6:58 am   49

Is child of light cross buy? Or is just the PS3 version on sale?

I want to know this as well (although I think it is).
Also, the PS+ extra discount does not work for everything I have checked.

    Muppet-NL 28 November, 2014 @ 9:04 am

    Jup game is cross buy

Thanks, didn’t even think about this. Prob will buy it.

Depends on what other version of the game you want to get. As far as I know, the PS3 and PS4 version are Cross Buy, but the Vita version is not.

salvogdaze 28 November, 2014 @ 7:06 am   50

Although I think Valiant Hearts was mistakenly listed under ps3, yet the store only has a PS4 version with a price more than the original price? Could you have this checked Jawad?
