New on PlayStation Store: Destiny DLC, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, more

Plus, Yakuza 4, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Rock Boshers DX and new Christmas deals

Bursting through the doors first this week, Destiny sees an all new expansion, The Dark Below, which features new weapons and armour, increased level cap, new arenas, new story missions – generally a lot of new things to tackle into the early hours of a new day.

Lara Croft also makes a return in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Sequel to Guardian of Light, there’s a new story to get involved with all the while doing what Lara does best – avoiding death traps, solving puzzles and protecting yourself from enemies.

Over the weekend during PlayStation Experience, you may have noticed SEGA’s Yakuza 4 was released on PS Store (and Yakuza 5 releasing next year). There’s a lovely catch-up in the game to get up to speed with the lore, in case you wrongfully ignored the game the first three times or, just need a much needed refresh of all the twists. And if you just want something silly but still related, then Yakuza: Dead Souls is also available.

Lastly, the 12 Deals of Christmas will continue on, so there is still time to grab an early Christmas treat to sink your holiday hours into.

No weekly deals?

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:08 pm

They did say they’d be postponed through December given the 12 Days and 20th Anniversary sales.

Lame…the anniversary deals and 12 days deals have been pretty poor so far.

    X_Blood_Curse_X 10 December, 2014 @ 3:15 pm

Anniversary sales aren’t amazing but I picked up Little Big Planet Vita for £5 or so which is pretty awesome 🙂

Hi again. This time I have some things to say regarding Vita TV:

1) I’m having problems with my PSN Store LiveArea screen. Usually it shows the most recent releases and all that around the main start button, but on Vita TV, it just shows the Store LiveArea screen like it would be my first time using it, displaying the basic text about Store’s functionality. I tried to refresh the screen, visit the store, download games and refresh again, clean my console settings and refresh, and lastly formatted my whole console and still it didn’t show the LiveArea screen correctly like it does with my regular Vita. Is this a thing among other Vita TV users, or is it just me? And is there any way to solve this? And yes, I’ve already contacted the tech support team about this.

2) Vita TV’s media applications lineup is severely lacking. Even Youtube doesn’t work. I don’t care much about Netflix and all that, but Youtube? There’s no reason for it not to work on Vita TV. Is the updated, working version at least on the way? US’s selection is generally seen as lacking, and comparing that to the current situation in EU is just laughable.

3) Sega Megadrive Collection doesn’t work on the device, even though the compatibility list says so.

4) The PSN store application itself has many games missing from the listings, but somehow still shows many games that aren’t compatible with the device. The Store really needs some extra work to be done with it.

5) How about having more options to adjust the screen when playing PS1 games? Like with the original PSP? Some games show as letterboxes on the screen, and it would greatly benefit for those to be able to be adjusted.

6) I transferred some music from my computer that included Scandinavian letters in their titles. Everything was shown well when using the content manager, but after transferring the music to the actual device the titles of some tracks went bonkers with their length reduced to few letters, some of them being eastern characters? Even though the device itself shows all the system text right in my language. Any idea what could have caused this?

Other than all that, I’ve enjoyed using the device and Freedom Wars and many PSP games have played beautifully on it. I just hope you could address these and other problems current users have brought up to make the device more worth it.

I ♥ how you keep using “Vita TV” name.

    Vita needs more ♥

    Tuulenpoika 10 December, 2014 @ 4:54 pm

@Archacus Haha, thanks, it is a conscious choice. Because that is what the device really is to me, and is supposed to be – PS Vita connected to TV. And I expect the device to have all the manageable features that the normal Vita has, minus the touchscreen. camera and all those kinds of things for obvious reasons. But there shouldn’t really be any PSP or PS1 Classics that won’t work on Vita TV that do work on a regular Vita, not to mention Youtube.

Oh, and cheers for Suikoden 1 and 2 coming to European PSN next January!

hmmm a week or so ago it sounded great but now…well I’m going to wait.

It’s failings remind me of how the PS4 seemingly can do all sorts of social things except send and receive text messages on the weekends…with the messages failing to be sent and failing at 97%. Even better the notifications stating you’ve received a message and are unable to access it. Meaning you log out the ps4, maybe try on vita to read messages but mostly its log in on your ps3 to read your messages and respond….wow that’s some technological progress

Any news on fixing the cross buy vita download for owners of the retail Ps3 minecraft?
It’s been 8 weeks and waiting.
I’ve spent over 10 hrs in queues and calls with the Psn customer service and it’s always the same. “The issue has been logged and they are trying to find a solution”

8 weeks is a bit excessive right?

    Bovrillor 10 December, 2014 @ 3:40 pm

8 weeks sounds about right. It took them 2 months to restore the batman content after PS+ IGC releases broke it.

They still haven’t fixed the store link for the PS3-PS4 Minecraft upgrade either, so nobody can find it.

    TrueMurton 10 December, 2014 @ 6:11 pm

Speaking of broken cross buy games, I still can’t download CrimsonLand on my Vita after buying the PS4 version because European store techs didn’t add the entitlement on the PS4 purchase. It works if you bought on Vita though. The reveal post on this blog said it was cross buy, the store update post that day said it was cross buy, the site itself said it was cross buy, the 10Tons website said it was cross buy, and in the US they made it cross buy, but SCEE made a mistake and it still hasn’t been fixed. Can we please get a comment on the cross buy issues with Minecraft and CrimsonLand because it’s getting daft now.

    icecrasher_zero 10 December, 2014 @ 8:04 pm

I had no problems with digital release. Now playing Minecraft at my Vita and PS3. No problems with cheap upgrade to PS4 version either. Lucky me?

COSTUME QUEST 2!!!!!! REPLY PLEASE!

    TrueMurton 10 December, 2014 @ 6:20 pm

You won’t get a reply from Sony. It’s Sony policy not to discuss QA issues, that, quite rightly, is up to the publisher.

I used to work in games QA and have friends that still do and give me the odd bit of gossip, which is how I knew that the PS+ version of DriveClub was being cancelled a week before Yoshidas letter to us. Basically Costume Quest 2 failed QA on the PS4 both before and after Halloween, as it’s a themed game Double Fine took the decision to not submit it a third time because they felt it wouldn’t sell this late on. If you still want this on PS4, you need to harass Tim Schafer and get him to drop the ego and fix whatever stopped it from passing QA in the first place.

    guitardevil6 10 December, 2014 @ 6:35 pm

Hi @Angelus3K, just to let you know (and something I don’t think was reported here), but it’s believed that Double Fine submitted the game to EU’s QA department twice and it was rejected twice on PS4. I can’t remember where I read it but they also said they wouldn’t be resubmitting it to QA.

Why the hell didn’t costune quest 2 pass? It passed on PS3 and ps4 in the U.S. It’s a freakin Halloween kiddy game lol. Well whoevers fault this is screw them. I won’t be supporting anyone by not buying it until it hits ps4 eu. Tim Schafer should submit it again since double fine has financial issues and could do with the money at the same time why have I got to have stuff removed from the game for the eu while u.s. Gets to keep them in. I’m sick of having games ruined by sonys eu policies. They ruined last of us mp and South park.

Jawad is there any chance we could get Ape Escape on the ps1 classics? i would play it on my disc copy but for some reason the game has problems processing the controller and i can’t get past the main menu

    GradonPrower 10 December, 2014 @ 7:46 pm

I know they’re not going to reply but THIS X A MILLION.
I am so upset that my disc version refuses to work.

A short message for Square-Enix and Crystal Dynamics:
No Rise, no Osiris

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:10 pm

We’re getting Rise. So why are you here?

    A short reply from Square-Enix:

Rise is still a temporary exclusive, yes Osiris 😉

It hasn’t been announced for ps4. And based on Microsoft publishing it maybe it never will.

    DeformedField 10 December, 2014 @ 3:22 pm

Microsoft also published the original Mass Effect.

adumr, Nintendo published Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge on WiiU, and guess what happened. I still remember people “wowing” (sigh) at their E3 press conference.

I would also say “MS published Mass Effect 1 on 360” but things went a little differently in that case.

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:24 pm

    @adumr82

It’s a timed exclusive for Xbox, and Square is the publisher, not Microsoft.

No frimo, MS is publishing Rise.

    madmanwithabox12 10 December, 2014 @ 3:31 pm

@melbye82: Why deny yourself a great title? If Temple of Osiris is anything near as good as Guardian of Light, you’re depriving yourself of a great quality game for little to no reason. Not buying Osiris isn’t showing Square/Crystal Dynamics anything other than “Oh those PS guys don’t buy our stuff”. Boycotting is one of the stupidest modern trends among gamers, it really is.

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:35 pm

    @Lance_87

Only on Xbox. When the announcement of Rise suffered all that backlash, CD explained it was a timed exclusive, meaning that it would go to other platforms after a period. How are people still up in arms about this?

Even if it is still a tempory exclusive after the publisher announcement we still don’t know will come to PlayStation. Could be just PC. I know its pessimistic but the latest talk sounds worrying.

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:39 pm

    @Lance_87

Totally just re-read up on this, seems I was wrong. My bad. Obviously MS changed the thing.

    Querdenker 10 December, 2014 @ 3:39 pm

As I understand it, Microsoft will publish just the Xbox version(s).

    RedMustang72 10 December, 2014 @ 4:22 pm

I’m with melbye82 on this. I own and thoroughly enjoyed GoL but I won’t be buying ToO either…and I’m glad others feel the same way. TR was/is a slap in the face to all us PS gamers that supported the game…and it sold most units on PS systems…double that of Xbox sales apparently.

It’s a reasonable assumption that TR2 will come to the PS4 but still an assumption nevertheless. How long will that timed exclusivity last? 3 months? 6 months? A year?!!! Anything longer than 3 months and I can assure you I won’t be paying full price for it. A year and I’ll not buy it at all, other than a bargain bin pick up.

I’m sorry but I find it disgraceful that we PS gamers supported the reboot more than anyone and we’re the ones to be left behind. Boycotting is a stupid trend? No, it’s not, voting with your wallet is the only real power gamers have, that’s why I won’t be buying ToO!

    @madmanwithabox12

Boycotting is stupid??? Really wasn’t boycotts of South Africa back in the 80’s the main driving force for breaking down the apartheid state?

Boycotting is actually the most effective means of protest especially in regards to publishers of games. Lose out on a particular game huh??? There are so many other games to play its hardly missed. To keep supporting a publisher even though a) they charge more in Europe b) only provide digital in Europe which means that Europeans do not have a choice in where to purchase the content. The only choice Europeans have is using a different console.

Not sure about you but when I bend over there aren’t these arrows pointing toward my backside. Which is ultimately what happens when people continue to buy content from publishers that treat Europe poorly and as a result insure the perpetuity of said dismissal of European gamers by charging more, releasing digital or not releasing content in a region…because they can’t be bothered. I guess some gamers are like people in bad, abusive or destructive relationships…they just keep coming back for more abuse.

Square-Enix…the final straw was Drakengard 3 digital only release and prohibiting others from importing. I haven’t purchased anything from them since and I never will again. The money I’ve saved by not buying their products or continuing on with paying a sub for FFXIV:ARR has gone to the purchase of a 3ds and wii-u and importing games from Japan….losing out nah if anything thank you Square-Enix for letting me know and other Europeans know exactly what you think of your European customers

^ too bad we’re talking about games, not racial segregation. Boycotting never works well with games. People keep boycotting DLC, companies keep making DLC.

    madmanwithabox12 10 December, 2014 @ 7:30 pm

@Izorpo: Way to take what I said completely out of context. Did I say boycotting is a bad thing generally? No. I said it’s a stupid idea when it comes to gaming and it’s a very modern trend that’s sprung up in the gaming community. It never works and it always makes people look foolish, especially when their idea of getting more support for a thing they like is to not support the people making the thing they like.

Yes, voting with our wallets is important. But it shouldn’t be done for silly reasons like this. How can you vote on a game you can’t buy? In this case the implication is that not buying Temple of Osiris would make Square or Crystal Dynamics break their contract (which they can’t legally do) with Microsoft regarding Rise of the Tomb Raider. What? That makes absolutely no sense.

The notion of voting with your wallet applies to having a rationale when it comes to buying content. Buy the content you want and don’t buy the content you don’t want. Simple. I don’t get the mindset that not buying one thing means we’ll get another.

For the record, Microsoft is only publishing TR on Xbox One. Part of that agreement clearly let’s them have the game first. Chances are it will come to PS4 and at the very least it’ll be on PC, published by Square Enix who still own the IP.

Opting to not buy a great game because you think it’ll somehow affect another is ridiculous. The only thing, if anything, it would accomplish is showing that you don’t want or care for the Tomb Raider/Lara Croft brand.

    RedMustang72 11 December, 2014 @ 4:59 am

The last two replies are indicative of some of what’s wrong with a disjointed and divisive gaming community. Boycotting does work…if the community stands together…which unfortunately rarely happens. If a similar amount of people boycott ToO as those that freely made their outrage known after the initial TR: RotTR announcement, then it would send a message to SE/CD that those practices are unacceptable, to what is in theory more than half of the franchises fan base.

That is the point, it’s not to change the current predicament, I don’t expect the TR/M$ contract to be broken/scrapped/amended…and I’m astonished some think that is the point…it’s plainly not. Izorpo is correct when he/she talks about pricing and regional content too, yet many people will foolishly just buy, buy, buy at ridiculously high prices, accept lesser content in their region, and lap up and defend practices which incredibly punish the very people supporting them…<- talk about not making sense!!

Sadly, too may people can't seem to grasp the idea that we actually have the power, and boycotting products, en masse, would send a loud and clear message to publishers/devs that these practices are unacceptable, and I can assure anyone if it did happen then these companies would be very wary of doing the same things in the future. What I find very sad is the mindset that it doesn't work, so I'm not going to bother…it doesn't work because people don't bother…that's the real problem, not that the concept of boycotting is broken.

I'm also not going to be told that I don't care, or support, any game/franchise…it's exactly because I do care about this franchise that I'm posting on here, otherwise I wouldn't have commented…<- again, if we're talking sense and rationale…that one is bewilderingly illogical. Ridiculous statement!

I'd like to point out that no-one is attacking people for choosing to buy the game, rather myself and others are making our feelings known about practices that we find unacceptable, and how we have chosen to protest those practices. We, as a PS community, have shown our support for CD, we made TR profitable, we paid for and played TR more than any other fan base…and how were we rewarded? By having the next instalment withheld from us for anything from 3-12 months! If anyone finds that acceptable then fair enough, but I, and others don't, and I'm glad to see that they don't. For those that refuse to buy ToO…Im sure we'll survive!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i’m not “indicating” anything.

    RedMustang72 12 December, 2014 @ 4:51 am

Apologies Lance_87, I got the impression you were of the opinion ‘it doesn’t work so why bother’, if you’re not then I apologise.

    Disclaimer:

No bubbles were harmed in the making of my posts. 🙂

Hey jawad

i bought the Retail version of Lara croft and used that seasonpass code already. Can i still buy the digital version and use the seasonpass from the Retail for it ?

    DavisonACT 10 December, 2014 @ 10:49 pm

As long as your digital game and season pass use the same psn account you should be fine.

FelixAndrews 10 December, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   8

When are we getting 1001 Spikes?

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:17 pm

Best bet is to try an contact the developer/publisher, they usually have more of an idea, unless it’s been with the SCEE QA team, they seem to hold on to things for a while sometimes.

They said “after Binding of Isaac Rebirth” IIRC. but it’s been a long time now lol.

I have tried tweeting them and got nothing back.
A simple eta isn’t too much to ask or even if it is still coming to the EU??
Would love to know what the hold up is??
Not that we will ever find out, another EU PSN mystery!

Tomb Raider is tempting me…

Are we going to get more weekly deals today ?

Allen_Kirameki 10 December, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   10

Fix Medievil price, please!!!!!

ShogunDarius 10 December, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   11

no Costume Quest 2 for PS4, has it been cancelled? And can we please get Legend of Dragoon too.

    Angelus3K 10 December, 2014 @ 3:13 pm

They will just ignore us about Costume Quest. I think they have just cancelled the PS4 version. Such a shame, but completely unacceptable no-one will tell us directly. They’ll just try and sweep it under the carpet.

Costume Quest 2 EU had to replace Yakuza 5 in the list of “Completely M.I.A.” games somehow.

    Angelus3K 10 December, 2014 @ 3:41 pm

Sony are great about telling us things they want us to know about. As soon as we ask about something they have no interest in its insta-stonewall.

madmanwithabox12 10 December, 2014 @ 3:09 pm   12

Just checking, but is the Persona 4 Ultimax DLC Additional BGM 3 priced correctly?

Because it’s one song and all the other packs that have just one song have been 79p, not £1.69 (which seems to be the standard price for packs of three songs). It’s also worth noting that all four of the packs that contain only one song are permanently free in North America AND Japan whilst we have to pay for them (as well as not having a free period on Adachi and Marie). So I’m more than a little hesitant to jump on one song for the price of three. Can you look into this Jawad?

Sorry, but kind of tired of being lead on with this game in Europe. I love it to death, but the way SEGA Europe and Atlus have treated us has been terrible. =/

SSJ4_Haruhi 10 December, 2014 @ 3:10 pm   13

Will next Wednesday’s PSN update be the last of the year?

As the week after that is Christmas Eve and after that New Year’s Eve.

Suikoden?!?!

Luis_FFgamer 10 December, 2014 @ 3:11 pm   15

Is there a chance of Hatsune Miku project diva F getting a discount in the 12 deals of Christmas or some other sale in the near future? The game is still full price despite being 1 year old (and 9 months on the vita version)

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:14 pm

The age of a game rarely dictates the PSN store price, it’s not like the physical game market. Also, in my experience, they don;t usually give you heads up on future sales, and highly doubt they’ll give advance warning on 12 Days deals.

    X_Blood_Curse_X 10 December, 2014 @ 3:17 pm

Was deal of the week for £13.50 odd not too long ago so I wouldn’t hold your breath

    Luis_FFgamer 10 December, 2014 @ 3:44 pm

Yeah i just did a search on the blog and project diva was on sale 2 months ago, the sale ended 2 days before i first saw this game being played on twitch and got hocked on the demo sadface 🙁

    Timberman80 10 December, 2014 @ 5:20 pm

Actually holding your breath might not be such a bad idea. Nearly all previous “deals” for PS Vita have been in previous sales. Danganronpa 2 comes to mind…

    supersmith2500 11 December, 2014 @ 4:55 pm

Well your Christmas wish has been listened and it’s now discounted for £11.99 for the Vita version.

    Luis_FFgamer 11 December, 2014 @ 5:42 pm

Yup, bought it as soon as it went live 😀

AbandonedTrolley 10 December, 2014 @ 3:11 pm   16

Why is Awesomenauts Assemble £34.99? What’s happened there, I already purchased a long time ago on the PS4 and it wasn’t that much.

Yakuza Dead Souls, something “silly” for Jawad, interesting idea.

Christmas deals wishlist:

Terraria
The Wolf Among Us

crimsonidol-de 10 December, 2014 @ 3:13 pm   19

One quick question:
Will the prices for the Project Diva-costumes be fixed for the people who own the Costume Pass? It tells me I would have to pay 1,50€ per costume or 8€ for all of them, even though I own the pass. :\

Hi Jawad, any ETA for Soldner-X 2 on Vita? It was announced back in October, for a “Winter” release.

serber_uk 10 December, 2014 @ 3:14 pm   21

Fix error when adding Lara Croft and Temple of Osiris Season Pass to basket 🙁

Why so quiet on telltale games getting reduced? Worried people might want refunds after they were ripped off?

    frimo_online 10 December, 2014 @ 3:26 pm

I may be way off base here, but pretty sure the T&Cs for using the store include you not getting any kind of refund on any purchase.

    Bovrillor 10 December, 2014 @ 3:38 pm

SCEE Store policy is “No refunds, ever” … but there was something on twitter about the telltale situation. Might wanna check their channel

    @frimo_online

Except when the company behind the game actually is going to give refunds to early purchasers.

Except they’ve offered refunds from the start.

    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-12-08-game-of-thrones-and-tales-from-the-borderlands-see-price-cut-on-ps4

Criticism is all well and good, but you should do some research before the mud-slinging starts.

Actually you can get a refund if there is a problem with the purchase. All you have to do is call Sony and ask to speak to a manager or supervisor because customer service call staff can’t.

Izorpo is kind of making my point there. I don’t think these refunds are automatic. So despite some third party sites reporting they are available there is nothing on Sony’s site.

    Steve_Of_The_O 10 December, 2014 @ 4:42 pm

    What’s getting reduced?

oh I should add the refunds aren’t instant. When you call they obviously won’t put you on the phone with manager or supervisor immediately, they will have the manager call you back within a specific time. A few years ago when people had the issue where minis purchased in a sale couldn’t be downloaded to a PSP and the refunds took over 2 weeks

    Steve_Of_The_O 10 December, 2014 @ 5:02 pm

Ah, Game of Thrones and Tales From the Borderlands have been reduced to come in line with the Xbox One versions.

Meh, the season passes usually go on sale before the whole lot are released any way. Surprised anyone would buy these day one.

@steve game of thrones and tales of borderlands were both reduced days after release. The fact that people don’t know is exactly why it should be discussed here.

I overpayed in Jurassic park the game and I got the money I shouldn’t of paid added to my in store credit so it does happen but it took them months to do it. Which is how everything takes with sony eu.

Just curious because I got the Season Pass for it anyway, but what does ‘DUP’ stand for in the Destiny Expansion I listing and WHY IS THAT LISTING IN ALL CAPS? ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO SHOUT THAT TITLE?

First of all, if you have any interest please purchase Yakuza 4 to encourage Sega to continue with this series and other niche titles in the West, also it’s great so you won’t be losing out.
Secondly, although The Witcher has been delayed until May 2015 lets recognise the fact that CD Projekt have actually got a digital pre-order onto PSN for a decent price (£40.50 if you haven’t seen it). So well done to them, I know they won’t but lets hope Ubi,EA etc. take note.

That is a pretty good price but all the stuff you get in box for this game you really should get the boxed version. Right now I don’t know whether to go PC or ps4 for this anyway. Anyone know if there has been an announcement on save game import?

Why would anyone interested in Ryu ga Gotoku series need to buy the digital version Yakuza 4…especially as most people (like myself) would have bought the physical version on release. If they want to put the HD Collection, Kenzan or Ishin out in the west digital only I would buy them despite owning Japanese versions

PiccoroDaimaoh 10 December, 2014 @ 3:18 pm   25

What about Yakuza 3?
Sega, add Valkyria Chronicles on PSN, while you’re at it!

TomaCentral 10 December, 2014 @ 3:18 pm   26

Seems to be “new” since 24h for the next 24 hours 🙁

    crimsonidol-de 10 December, 2014 @ 3:26 pm

    > Lastly, the 12 Deals of Christmas will continue on, so there is still time to grab an early Christmas treat to sink your holiday hours into.
    (lower part of overview text)

I guess it’s just a reminder that the 12 deals of christmas are also available.

    TomaCentral 10 December, 2014 @ 3:37 pm

Yehhh, I realised after, a bit misleading to be fair but oh well.

    crimsonidol-de 10 December, 2014 @ 3:45 pm

Yep, it’s misleading. I also wondered where the new deals are. At first I thought they would add something to the (mediocre) anniversary sale.

It would be nice if they were updating the anniversary sales like they have in the US (4 weeks of sales) or having 15 months of plus for the price of 12 in Japan.

On a different note…I suspect the PS4 Killzone will end up in IGC as at the moment its plus freebie in Japan and in the US it’s $11.99 for plus and $13.99 for non plus.

Any new information on Cross Region Gifting.
Like steam have had for years.

It would really fit whit the season too now rigth? a easy way to gift someone a spesific game for christmas.

I do mean gifts would have to be purchased as gift. (not transfearal of used). Like how you can get physical copies from abroad, you should be able to get digital ones too.

How soon are the following titles getting on the SEN store?
PSP:
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (yes I know of 2.5 hd remake, but thats not playable on portable device is it? 😉 )
PoPoLoCrois
Tales of Eternia
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology
Thrillville
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth

PS1:
Xenogears
Suikoden II

Why I keep asking (for the PSP ones), I got most of these on UMD, but I do not want to have to drag the PSP whit me in adition to the Vita. And for those that do not get (portable ie, Vita) remakes, it would be sad that people would not get to play them in the future. I adition, soon these could be fun to play on PS TV device. You know that poor device will need all the games it can get, just as the Vita.. Also added some games to the list by request.

Oh, and to anyone complaining about me reposting, if they (SCEE, Not other people) would just take time to reply, something like: We have brougt your suggestions to the correct people/departments. Id shut up (about the things in the post) for atleast a few months.

Not easy to rewrite this all the time, shortened it a little now..

@Frimo_online Sure? I do not see it in the psn store when I search for it.. ofcourse they migth have UK release whit out most of us others getting it..

Suikoden II is coming in January.

The rest, well, uhm, nobody will ever listen, as usual.

    January 2015.

    GXIzikiel 10 December, 2014 @ 3:41 pm

Suikoden II has been announced at the last Sony event 4 days ago. Already out in US, will come to EU in Jan 2015.
As of the other games I clearly remember that BBS can’t be published on the SEN store due to the game being “too large for DD”. Or at least this is what Square-Enix always claimed (same thing goes for CC:FF7 i guess).
It’s not Sony’s fault for any of that games, you should ask the publishers instead for clarification on why they didn’t provide an official DD option for their games. Both Namco (for Tales) and S-E (for KH/FF) has official blogs and customer care mail addresses, you can contact them.
Same goes for the other games (GITS/Valkyrie etc..) I guess.

Too large for DD, then why did they publish Type-0 on the Japanese PSN? They don’t even know what they’re talking about lol.

    Shadowdragoon 10 December, 2014 @ 3:55 pm

Ok, moved it over to a subsection last line for now.. lets hope they do release it tough.. (Suikoden II that is)

Wait, did you JUST announce to the world that you’re editing the post for next store update? Jesus Christ…

    Shadowdragoon 10 December, 2014 @ 4:13 pm

Shadowdragoon 10 December, 2014 @ 3:21 pm   31

And as Jawad will ignore my previous post, There seem to be a problem whit the PS3 20 year theme ( https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/#!/en-no/games/themes/playstation-20th-anniversary/cid=EP9000-NPEO00168_00-TPLAYSTATI000004 ) it do not show a download button on its page, and I do not find it in the PS3 store either..

Not a problem. Sadly, on PS3, it’s one of those themes that you cannot tie to your account, and have to download manually from the PS3 store. Bummer, i know. The store is full of those semi-obscure themes and wallpapers.

Dear Jawad or other PlayStation person,
Do you know anything about the ‘TV from Sky’ app and when it might arrive in Ireland? Apparently even Sky Customer Care believes it should be live for us by now, they’re blaming you guys 🙂
Also, obligatory request for a USB Video Player even though it’s totally unrelated to Store updates.

Thanks.

I guess this really is our winter of disCONTENT..

Is anyone as Sony towers going to acknowledge and fix the current E-82000102 error that is effecting thousands of users across the globe right now? You can’t add or buy anything from the Store, either via the PS4 or website, without it throwing up that error code all the time.

I am sick to death of nothing working properly on this console. Is there ever just one week without crashes, downtime, Store bugs, etc, etc. PSN literally stands for: Pathetic Network Solutions.

If I were a prospective buyer this Xmas, PSN would really put me off from buying a PS4 over an XBO right now.

Yeah someone needs to address this issue ASAP. I am also sick that Sony is not acknowledging this issue. I can’t add the Shadow of Mordor DLC to the basket although I am a season pass holder. I can’t even buy Destiny on sale. Always the same error weather it is from PS4 or PC or even iPhone.

They won’t adress the horrific messenging service so I why would they address other issues.

3 games for me this week…not too shabby PS. Thsnks

Any info when is gonna be released Journey for PS4… it was scheduled for later 2014… so only 3 weekly updates more…

Nothing for me today, was interested in Tomb Raider but not buying because of the timed Xbox exclusivity on the other game, also it has a season pass, lol!
Please put walking dead season 2 Vita on 12 deals of Xmas so I can actually get something from one of the deals ^_~

@Jawad

Well it’s a step in the right direction, 58 more legacy tracks for Rocksmith, but still only a 1/3 of the way there. Also no sign of any of the last months worth. I am trying not to be negative as there has been SOME movement at least but is there any updated comment after last weeks “I will look into it” comment? When can we expect the rest of the world will start to see us in their rear view mirrors again? If you could just give us an idea of when we will have to wait until, it might stop a lot of the complaints (might not, but at least a little transparency might show you guys in a better light)

    Magoo_222 10 December, 2014 @ 3:54 pm

Don’t worry too much though, as you can get a free Hendrix track on PS3! But not PS4. Chances are the PS4 won’t even get that track next week, and when it does it’ll be 150% of the XBox 1 price. Merry Christmas from Sony.

    Wavey_Dave_76 10 December, 2014 @ 4:12 pm

I was trying not to draw attention to that in case it was a mistake. Having said that, even if it was a little something by way of an apology for weeks of no content, it doesn’t do anything for PS4 users who (assuming it gets posted some time before the end of Jan) are entitled to it free anyway. Nor will it ultimately matter anyway considering most players would look at buying the packs for Hendrix.

You have to realise the Music business is an old beast full of red tape.
Just adding a platform for DLC would probably require some legal work and i’m guessing those people in an industry that has almost disintegrated are few in numbers.
I bought Rocksmith on PS4. The audio lag is terrible but i’ll hang on to it for the free Hendrix DLC next week.
I bought it on Steam also and get much better results with all the DLC available for purchase.
While that works fine, playing it on a Mac is incredible……No audio lag whatsoever.

    Jawad Ashraf 11 December, 2014 @ 9:25 am

The Rocksmith stuff will be trickling out slowly. I don’t have anymore info to share, so for now it literally is a case of checking back each week to see what the latest is. Sorry I don’t have more to share 🙁

@Jawad, can we get free Jimi Hendris song for each day of DLC delays? I’d wait for another couple of weeks then 😉

    fustacluck 11 December, 2014 @ 1:22 pm

    @Harrisown

If that was the case I’d be cooler about it, but the fact that it is already available on all other European digital stores (Microsoft and Steam), and on the SCEA store, and all of the legacy content had been submitted to and approved by SCEE by the time of the launch of Rocksmith 2014 on the PS4, according to Ubisoft, I’m pretty sure that explanation doesn’t apply. The latest word from Ubisoft was that it’s down to SCEE’s processes. I really wish I’d bought the American edition in the first place, as I think advertising on your official blog that you’d be able to play all of the content you’d purchased for the PS3 version, then releasing it in drips and drabs with no good reason, or even a timeframe for when we’ll eventually get this DLC that was promised, given to us by SCEE themselves, is disgraceful. I feel it was highly misrepresented on this blog, and more than a bit discriminating, but then that’s pretty much how the SCEE store has always been (just ask those that wanted Counter-Strike:GO). Europe, and all other territories under SCEE, pay more but receive content late, if at all. From the answer given here, it even seems like SCEE has even stopped answering Jawad’s calls regarding this matter.

SCEE know what content has to go up, and has all of it at hand. How difficult can it be to at least give us a schedule for when to expect to have all of it, instead of checking each week to see how many if any are released that day? And I won’t even get started on the new content that should be up each week that seems to have disappeared from their schedules completely.

Still, at least creepy alternate-panty DLC for Japanese schoolgirl fetishists is up on the store on time.

Still no costume quest 2 for ps4????

Well, thanks for free Jimi Hendrix song, but where are other Rocksmith 2014 DLCs for PS3?

fustacluck 10 December, 2014 @ 3:54 pm   41

Hi Jawad,

Firstly, thanks for the Rocksmith content that has been put up so far.

Is there an update as to what is happening with the expansion pack allowing us to play the original Rocksmith content (pre-2014 edition), as that is still not showing on the store, and neither are any packs of the songs?

Thanks in advance.

Well, thanks for the free Jimi Hendrix song, but where are the rest of Rocksmith 2014 DLCs?

Lara Croft and Temple of Osiris: 15.99
Season Pass: 7.99

Combined total: 23.98

Laura Croft and Temple of Osiris and Season Pass Package Deal: 24.49

This doesn’t seem quite right here….

    Lostmuppet 10 December, 2014 @ 7:47 pm

Why the hell does it have a season pass to anyway?

    DavisonACT 10 December, 2014 @ 10:47 pm

Saw that as well – they get this sort of thing wrong so often – I often wonder what sort of muppets they have working for them.

Which brings me to the muppet question from Lost – so that they can gouge us for more money of course – hopefully making you think you get great value by paying for a couple of extra levels in their painfully short game – levels which should have been there in the first place.

Just bought and downloaded the Venom table plus unlock file for Zen Pinball 2 on PS4, but when I load up the game it’s only letting me play the demo version…

Grossberger 10 December, 2014 @ 4:09 pm   47

@Jawad “URGENT”

Please! respond/help, I have downloaded 4 tables for Pinball Arcade (PS4) that have finally been added to the PS Store today, my money has been taken by Sony right away and yet the tables are not showing up in the game, I am very annoyed about this to say the least, please! get this fixed, it’s unforgivable when I have paid for the content.

    MaxDiehard 10 December, 2014 @ 4:31 pm

Go to Settings, PSN, Resore Licenses.

    Grossberger 10 December, 2014 @ 4:58 pm

    @MaxDieHard

Thanks! but does not work, just tried it, and this is Pinball Arcade not! “Zen Pinball” my gut-feeling is that the game needs an update before it will read this latest DLC, really pi**ed off, Sony should not be able to take money for content that is not working, very unhappy gamer right here.

Contact support. They don’t read this. Also, these blog guys can not help you.

Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls bought a few days ago already. I recommend for fans to do the same.

Sony, please talk with SEGA about 1&2 HD Edition and digital release of Yakuza 3. If you’ll make it true, I’ll bring MANY my friends into the series, ergo profit!
