Dark_Overlord 23 January, 2015 @ 09:09

What happens if I want to purchase more items than the basket limit of 10? Can I use the code for each basket?

European_Gamer 23 January, 2015 @ 09:19

Your only option is to use multiple accounts.

The code entitles you to 10% off a single transaction – so yes, 10 items would be the maximum.

Picking up Resident Evil HD on Cross Buy for PS3 and PS4 :D.

Resident Evil HD on Cross Buy for PS3 and PS4 was only available if you pre-order the game.
Sorry dude

In US, in EU you get cross buy for the first week or two weeks because we didn’t have the preorder in the first place.

WayfaringWalrus 23 January, 2015 @ 15:04

Just to clarify, already purchased this on day of release and got cross-buy :) and yes, it is absolutely amazing! Well worth it for anyone who’s in two minds about getting it.

Can we use the code more than once i.e. If I buy something today and something tomorrow, or would I need to decide on everything I wanted in one basket?

Also, it’s great to see Driveclub is still £19.99, I think a lot of people believed this was just for the January sale.

i think you can use it on any purchase between the time limits it’s not once per account

No, it’s a single use code I’m afraid

Ok thanks for the clarification

Is it just me or PS Store down? It’s taking awhile for me to load up :S

XtianHawkGamer 23 January, 2015 @ 09:17

Scratch that…

Web site is down for me and have seen reports on down detector too.

What method of login were you using?

Can you buy ps vita content through your ps3?

If you want to buy PS Vita content, your best bet is using the webstore:

Cheers for the reply. Senran kagura bon appetit here I come, trophy list is awesome.

I’ll be picking up DriveClub and Resident Evil wit this code when I get back from work. It’ll work out to £32.38 for both, not bad!

and mexico or all latin america what?
you always forget us like we are less then nothing
themes, discounts, previews…. nothing.
comme on sony we hav money 2

Lovely to have you here EroHabbo, but this is the blog for the SCEE region (we cover the regions listed above)! I’d recommend you check out the LATAM PlayStation Blog for info relevant to your region:

lol i was thinking the same thing!

Typical, Web store is down and I’m getting sign in failed messages.

It worked fine yesterday when I perused the store for ideas. I wonder if this will last 3 days like the code itself. My credentials are obviously good too as I can get on here.

its working for me

Thanks insightful for letting me know. I’ve now tried from my phone and Firefox and IE on pc and neither will let me in right now.

hitman_stephen 23 January, 2015 @ 09:25

*Goes onto sony website and uses up the 10 item basket limit on Vita JRPG’s*

To be honest i don’t think Sony should have to do this, they were the victim :( But i’l still happily use/accept anything you guys give away ^_^

hitman_stephen 23 January, 2015 @ 09:29

Oh and i thought i’d also mention, i just bought a bunch of games and there DLC’s yesterday, :( damn my bad timing

Don’t feel bad about the timing; it’s a one-use code and you’d already reached the basket limit :)

What is the discount code for United States? I don’t see it in the listing.

Hey there. As above, this is the blog for the SCEE region, I’m afraid, so I don’t have that information. I believe my SCEA colleagues will be posting the US code on their Twitter feed at around 9am PST.

E o Brasil ?

Brasil isn’t in europe. this is the EU blog

To Naquadah:
I believe that Australia, Bahein, India, Israel, KwaitI, Lebanon, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar and South Africa are not Europe too. And in spite of that they are on the list.

Christoff1985 23 January, 2015 @ 09:29

With all the fuss, that was going about this “crazy” discount for the whole January:
1. missing the January Sale
2. short time period that misses the launches of most good games this quarter of the year.
3. Usual Sony statetements: “will let You know soon”, “we thought it will be better” and so on.
4. Did anyone notice, that last batch of discounts on PS Store does not include additional 10% for PS Plus members? I wonder why…

I’m not picking anything, because there will probably be better standard discounts in the coming month.

I wonder, what would Trevor Philips would tell Sony about their great offer. Probably his favourite quote.

Sony may have saved themselves some money with the cynical way they’ve handled this but they’ve lost themselves a ton of good will.

Could I have another please? I’ve used mine up :)

crackyourspeaker 23 January, 2015 @ 09:30

So where is USA discount code?

Well, you’re not going to find it here on the Playstation Europe blog.

Steve_Of_The_O 23 January, 2015 @ 09:35

As soon as our US allies join the EU I’m sure you’ll be finding codes for that region here, then.

But for now I’d wait and see what the US blog says

European_Gamer 23 January, 2015 @ 09:36

I guess it’s coming to

Steve_Of_The_O 23 January, 2015 @ 09:32

Everything digital is marked up by a minimum 10% so it kinda counters the discount anyway. I’ll take the 5 free plus days and say thank you though. Thank You :-)

The Non inclusion of PS Plus was annoying but then I got a great deal at CD Keys 12 months for £31 so up your bum there Sony! :-P

Because Sony have excluded pre-orders I’ve gone from spending £61.54 (Order 1888, RE HD and Olli Olli) to only spending £16.55. I’ll just wait till my physical copy of the Order 1888 comes now and trade it in when finished

Used my code on Resident Evil REmake for PS3/PS4. Been waiting years to play this again – thanks for the code!

My UK code doesnt work !! ??

Sorry Fred, no matter how many discounts SCEE give me, only thing that could convince me to buy anything from PSN store is delete option for Singstar crap from my XMB.

Sorry but that’s plainly idiotic.

Just picked up the Driveclub Season Pass, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones Season 1, OlliOlli and some Resi 6/Revelations DLC with my code.

Something is up though. My purchase history has no reference of the Driveclub SP purchase but has everything else. My download list has no entries for any driveclub dlc plus it has no entries for either of the TellTale games. You guys have 5 days to fix this before we all demand another 10% code ;-)

I’ve got the same issue as you.

Try adding the games to your basket again and it says your ineligible to buy or download.

I fixed it by going back to the store and adding the individual tour packs (in driveclub’s case) as they are now marked as Free for me. Then I added the episode 1 packs for the TellTales games (which were also marked as free). Bought that basket and now I have them listed. Bit of a chow on but at least they’re in the list now.

Not working for me with game of thrones or borderlands. Also got resident evil HD :( got receipt so I know it will get sorted just hope its before too long

Is there a code for the united states?

They say in the other

Just spent £29 and the discount didn’t apply. What’s the best email address for support?

Thanks Fred

Does the japanese PSN Store gets a discount code too?
I actually want some stuff from that store =(

If they get a code, where can I find it?

Yes, they where mailed out 3 days ago, the key is 8PLLN4L3DQ and you acn also see it on the Playstation Storefront page. Would personally have used it if Tales of Zestria was not just a physical release ><.

woestijnkroket 23 January, 2015 @ 09:47

i am trying to pre order Dying Light but there I get no option to enter discount code in the process.

The code doesn’t work on pre-orders.

To recap, some exceptions do apply, including subscriptions for PS Plus, Music Unlimited, rental video content, pre-orders and transactions made on PlayStation Store via the PS Vita, PlayStation TV or PSP content

woestijnkroket 23 January, 2015 @ 09:56

but Shuhei Yoshida said it would work on preorders to on his twitter

Shuhei retracted his tweet later on:

so when does this go live in North America region……………….

It’s 9am in all regions – 9am EST, 9am PST etc.

What time is the US region going live?

Wow – some of you Americans really need to read stuff first- Fred has said right there- 9am EST or PST

Is there any chance of having the store integrated for PS3 and PS4? Using the 10% code, I purchased DLC from my PS4, only to find I could not use the code from my PS3. This stopped me from getting the (relative) bargain I wanted on the PS3, and deprived Sony of a sale.

It’s a one use only. If you want PS3 and PS4 stuff, you should have used the store from your computer or phone.

The webstore would have been the best bet

In hindsight, the webstore would have been the way to go. At the time, I just figured the code would work across both consoles. In a perfect world, Sony would have their infrastructure set up so users wouldn’t require a computer.

A first world problem I know, but Fred, the question still stands -will Sony ever fully integrate their store, or will users always need a computer to make purchases across consoles 9i.e. PS3 and PS4)?

Shame I bought a shed load of games off PSN yesterday, oh well.

I find it regrettable that decide at the last minute not include pre orders

Time to buy lots of Senran stuff!

infernalmonkey1 23 January, 2015 @ 10:20

So there’s no way to use this code for PlayStation Mobile games, correct? Since you’ve made it so the code won’t work from a Vita, and PlayStation Mobile games still can’t be accessed on the web store. Poor indie devs. =\

Yeah! I wanted to pick up some PSM games (cause they never go on sale) but i can’t do so?

Way to go Sony…!!! I need a United States Code and don’t even put it up… Real nice Sony…. So I can’t even use that 10% bonus… -_-

As above, please keep an an eye on the US PlayStation Blog and SCEA Twitter for the US code. This is the SCEE blog. Thanks.

I love Americans….. Couldn’t eat a whole one though.

I just bought Wolf Among Us after waiting all week (+another day for Europe hours) to buy it with the 10% off on my PS Vita, and the transaction went straight through full price without asking for codes or anything omg nooooooooooo щ(゚Д゚щ)

It does state above that PS Vita users need to use the webstore to take advantage of the discount. You may want to give the contact address Fred supplied a try ( )

Probably get RE1:HD later today then. Thanks SONY ;)

What’s with all the americans here all of a sudden.

Usually things (like say, the monthly PS+ updates) are released first in the US so as to avoid confusing the poor dears. On this occasion they’re not first, and the very concept seems to be hard for some of them to grasp.

More like british is everywhere here there is hardly any American’s i am seeing here

It’s great that some customers are getting some value out of this so-called ‘offer’ but let’s get a bit of perspective on how lame this ‘thank you’ discount is for SCEE customers.

This offer doesn’t even match the ‘spend $60 get $10 back’ or ‘spend $100 get $15 back’ promotions that are offered regularly on the US store.

No plus discounts on the sale items, no pre-orders, no plus subscriptions, a time constraint. Rather than benevolence, this appears to be more of a drive to raise income in the slow post-christmas period. (and judging by comments of people filling carts, it appears to have worked – kudos).

No thanks.

@Fred, since you’re around, are European Vita owners getting recompensed in the same manner as US Vita owners for the false advertising of the machine? or do we have to take you to court too?

this is so funny.. haha

not quite sure as to why it’s ‘so funny’ but i’ll tell you what it definitely is. As of now, it is demonstrably 10x more popular than your monkey chat… ha ha

Realy not on preorders! you can keep your code!

10% discount wasn’t that much but u fully know Sony didn’t have to do that at all!

Bought Tales from the Borderlands season pass, Game Of Thrones season pass and Resident Evil. All for £37.

Ta, Sony!

Got game and season pass, with a bit of Resi Evil chucked in too. £50!

what is the code for north America ?

On the us blog maybe?

Yeah where is the American code! and there is a seperate blog. i thought every code is here!

Similar problem as mentioned above – after making a purchase and using the 10% code, it wouldn’t let me put any of the games into my download list.
Now going back to these items on the online store they don’t show as having been purchased, but clicking “add to basket” (as suggested above) now tells me “You are not eligible to purchase or download this content”.

Any suggestion on how I actually download these items, or do I need to do it directly from my PS3?

I had this problem, so I signed out of the store and signed back in (username and password), then it showed as purchased and I was able to download it.

Ahh – thanks – that does indeed work :)

Wow, the amount of non-EU people complaining on the EU blog that this EU code isn’t working in their non-EU country is quite impressive.

Sony, there’s an opening for a game that teaches basic geography here methinks ;-)

Steve_Of_The_O 23 January, 2015 @ 14:21

About a third of the countries on the list above are not the slightest bit European. Sony would, apparently be the least qualified to give geography lessons

kratos_tayfun 23 January, 2015 @ 11:26

How can I use the code, can anybody explain to me ?

Put everything in your basket and before paying there’ll be an option to put a code in. Shove it in

US code???

…will no doubt be posted on the US blog; this is the European one! Your own codes go live at 9am in your region.

Me too where is the US code!?!?

The same place they were 10 comments you replied to ago Reymart

why there’s no code for Malaysia? seriously Sony!

is Malaysia in Europe?

wheres my North Korea code! **cough cough

Tbh there’s not a lot I’d want enough at the moment but good to see all regions have the same percentage discount and it’s not something silly like 5% for the UK, 9% for the Euro, 10% for AU and 4% for NZ. Mind you set percentage discounts are usually fairly stable, it’s sales price drops that aren’t.

Thanks Sony :) I used mine on Never Alone, Tales From The Borderlands Season Pass and Driveclub Season Pass!

REHD and Game of Thrones season pass. Not bad. Would have preferred to use it with Grim fandango as well, but can’t win them all.

Awww, don’t be a cry baby now.

Ironic, coming from you. Haven’t seen you around recently, thought you had drowned in your tears..

Thanks for the discount code. Just used to buy Telltales: Game of Thrones and Tales of Borderlands!
BUT i can NOT download it…. It just says purchased…. Why cant i download the games ?

I had the same thing.

Apparently they see it as you have only bought the pass (so you can download all episodes for free now), you can download Episode 1 after that for free (so “buy” it for free in the store for 0.00 euro and then you can download the episode).

I was able to do so for both games.

There’s nothing on the LATAM blog. Can someone explain that?

Can you access the webstore for your region? In NZ it was on the main banner on the main page before it was posted here.

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 12:28

Would time difference have something to do with it?
The codes go live at 9am in your country/ region. The codes listed here are for SCEE, and it is 12:30pm here in ireland now.

Noctis-Lucis--XV 23 January, 2015 @ 12:25

Hi, I tried to buy Bioshock for the PS3 with the 10% code but the transaction won’t go through; “We’ve encountered an error while processing your order. The transaction has not been completed. Please try again later.” All my payment information is up to date. Could it be due to the sheer amount of people buying stuff at the same time or did someone make a boo-boo somewhere? Thanks.

Maybe try on the webstore instead? May have more luck :)

BackwardsNinja 23 January, 2015 @ 15:32

@KaneTheGoth: I was using the webstore actually. I’ll try it on my PS3 when I get home from work, I guess. That’ll teach me to want to save 30p :D

lol I saved 4p on some Xcom DLC :D

Is UAE America?

Nope. United Arab Emirates. The US codes will go up on the US Blog :)

I’m sorry its an absolute [DELETED] take by Sony that this code does not work on pre-orders.

So either spend it on any old [DELETED] or you lose it. Could of at least made it valid for a few weeks, instead of 3 days

Please sir, can I use it on a preorder

‘Fraid not. Pre-orders work differently on the EU store (where they really are pre-orders) than they do on the US one (where they’re paid in full at the time, like a normal purchase). The European pre-order process doesn’t allow for the use of codes like this.

TheShockJockey 23 January, 2015 @ 12:40

There’s a problem with the Store – I’ve just used the code and bought my items but they are not showing up in my download list. Annoying. Assume it will get fixed soon Fred?

thank you Sony!!.. i purchased some games & dlcs

I am wondering of that myself. Even the US is still waiting for the code too.

Thanks! Ill buy Dark Souls 2 now.

Sony, considering how down we were at xmas not being able to get online, how very expensive your prices are compared to amazon and that 10% is an absolute joke, why dont you just allow all store items the discount? 99% of users still arent happy. Give the customers something to be really happy about because alot of users could have gone to xbox after xmas.

Comparing the PSN Store to Amazon is like comparing an orange with a stepladder. Let’s consider the following.

* Amazon buys the games en masse from publishers, tens even hundreds of thousands of copies, they probably pay less than £20 per copy. The PSN is the publisher selling direct and not wanting to undercut the retailer in case they don’t order tens of thousands of copies of the next game. Remember that retailers are guaranteed sales for publishers, doesn’t matter if we don’t buy it because Amazon already did.
* in addition to a really low purchase price Amazon has really low running costs. Many of its warehouse staff barely get minimum wage and work an almost illegal number of hours. Amazon also dodges VAT (for now) and pays literally zero corporation tax on those monster profits.

Digital will never be cheaper than retail on the home consoles, it is for Vita in the UK and the effect is very clear, look at the Vita section in GAME, no new games or Vita’s, all preowned because w...

I want better store prices too, but let’s be realistic, let’s just get a price match with the US who Sony promised wouldn’t pay more for PS4 games than they did for PS3, Sony Japan matched this, Europe didn’t, why? Fred was going to tell us last summer then he bottled it, let’s get back on his case.

How do I get a code for the U.S. I don’t know where the blog for that would be.

It’s somewhat fun to see that many users from american continents asking here. Surely EU blog comment section is a bit more organized and friendly.

Was unable to get FC4 Timed Version out of deal #12 because of the intermittent outage from Lizard folk. Will probably get FC4 and Gat Out of Hell if I can.

What about Brazil?

i suggest wait for the US blog to ask that question

that answer was for commet 64

sasukeroulette13 23 January, 2015 @ 14:05

Why isn’t there a discount code for Canada?.-.

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 14:46

Because this is the SCEE (Europe) blog.
Wait until it is 9am in your country and check the SCEA blog.

Yeah great, Thanks Sony, give us a discount that’s end of January and before a lot of people get paid so won’t have the chance to use it!! Congratulations… Clearly a business plan as it means you won’t lose out on much as you know a load of people won’t have money to spend… But if anything it creates angry customers (e.g. Me) because I will now be missing out on a code to use as I haven’t been paid and was affected by the outage… Well done…

I don’t get paid until next week either, fortunately I only want a couple games and have some money left in my PSN (I always get a fiver more credit then what I want costs when I can so if there’s a great bargain to be had I don’t get caught short) thus means I only have to find a tenner and I won a £20 gift voucher at work today which makes finding that tenner a lot easier.

The 3 day time limit is really bad, but the worst thing is only giving 3 days notice, had we known this two weeks ago then people could have saved a little money in what is always a tight month and picked up a good deal.

Code pour le Canada ???

Where is the United States code?

Hey Sony u forget México, u know the Big country justo under US.

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 14:52

I’m happy to see that you at least know Mexico is not in Europe (SCEE).

I do not see Canada how am i supposed to get my discount in Toronto

Bjornvrancken 23 January, 2015 @ 19:46

Probably not on the EU blog.

What’s the code for USA?

Canada code ???

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 14:51

I don’t understand why there are so many people from North and South america coming to the Europe blog and surprised their codes aren’t here.

The codes will be posted in your own territories’ blog after 9am (your time). The reason the SCEE codes are up and live here is because of the time difference.

It’s really not all that difficult to understand. There is no code. It’s nearly an hour past 9am EST. People are looking for answers and have come here.

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 15:12

@Vin_Propane You live in the US. This is the Europe / SCEE blog. See the difference?
They wouldn’t post US/ Canada codes here, even if they had them.

As for why the US blog hasn’t updated in your area, that’s a different problem. They may be waiting until more of North America are past the 9am mark.

Have you tried the US PSN store yet? Here in EU, they have a banner that shows the code on the store front page as well..

RollingSun2000 23 January, 2015 @ 15:14

People from North and South America have been coming here since 9am GMT (6 hours ago).

Hi there non-SCEE folks. It’s really great to have you here, but I’m afraid you’re not going to get the US/Canada/Mexico/etc code from us here in London. According to the post on the SCEA blog from earlier this week (, the voucher goes live at 9am PST in North America – that’s in 90 minutes. The code will published on SCEA/SCE LATAM Twitter/Store/Blog at that time. Thanks, and sorry I can’t be of more help.

Sorry, please could you bring me the code for the USA acount.-
