New on PlayStation Store: Dying Light, Grim Fandango Remastered, Life is Strange

And inFAMOUS Second Son is your deal of the week.

First up this week, first-person action survival game Dying Light. Roam a city devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help defeat the hordes of flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created. At night, beware the Infected as they grow in strength and even more lethal nocturnal predators leave their nests…

Elsewhere, one of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is back! Grim Fandango’s epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control better than ever.

Also out this week, episodic adventure game Life is Strange, rhythmic-puzzler Magical Beat and new costumes for LittleBigPlanet 3 based on some rather elusive creatures.

And lastly, if, for whatever reason you have yet to pick up inFAMOUS Second Son, then I’m happy to say that it is your deal of the week, so go grab it now!

I may turn out to become another copy-paste guy with this, but since I bought the device at launch, I would like to know about these things. And I’m sure many others do, too. So, Vita TV.

– So many non-touchscreen Vita games not compatible
– So many PS1 and PSP games not compatible that should not have any kind of problems with functionality whatsoever, like how can this even be possible
– Publishers/developers telling the problem with compatibility rests on Sony, Sony telling the opposite
– No YouTube application support
– The PSN Store shows only a handful of titles, some of which aren’t even compatible with the device and others (compatible ones) needing to be searched manually.
– Some of the text of transferred content in Scandinavian letters transform to Chinese/Japanese letters when transferred to the actual console.

Are you at least in progress in improving Vita TV’s situation? When can we expect an improvement regarding these matters? Just because the device may have not sold that much, doesn’t mean all the existing users and their needs should be ignored.

I have a solution for you, too – one up to date page for Vita TV, giving an accurate list of the compatible games and answers to all the possible questions the users may have, such as the ones above. It would show some good will from your part to actually acknowledge all the people who bought the device, and try to improve its situation.

Considering they’ve just announced they are pulling Near location functionality and the Youtube app without bothering to let us know why is there really any point in asking? The Vita is dead and by extension so is the Vita TV, I’m selling mine this weekend and am tempted to shift my PS4 and PS3 too.

YouTube app for PSTV is never going to happen, Google is about to cut support for their vita apps.

    HeikeStagBeetle 28 January, 2015 @ 3:35 pm

Also, how about making sure that DUALSHOCK 3 controllers are available? They seem to have all but vanished from Dutch online retailers, and from stores in my city (Utrecht). You sort of need one of these for the Playstation TV.

    Tuulenpoika 28 January, 2015 @ 3:41 pm

    @Marvin-R

Thanks for the heads-up, I just found about it and I’m filled with even more questions. Most of them are “Why?”. Also, there are several “what in the ******” and “what the *******”, too.

This is so disappointing…I was actually sort of jealous when you were going on about its features…the excitement rising as I saw co-op in EDF 2017 on the horizon. Maybe I will buy one when shops start selling them in the clearance bin

The only thing that prevents me from selling my vita is that I can order games from Japan I want to play. If you go to most any online retailer in Japan the amount of content being released in the next couple of months is insane. So much that it seems the market is flooded with releases and the downside is being spoilt for choice.

Why would they get rid of the YouTube app!? It’s the only app I use on my Vita 🙁 I know I can still watch YouTube videos through the browser, but the app is so easy to use!

The reason they’re pulling the YouTube app from the PS Vita is because after 20th of April, it’ll require the new YouTube API V3 because Google is shutting down their API V2 support. If that was not horrible enought a youtube application running version 3 also gets a certain amount of points to use everyday, if the amount of points gets exceeded the app will no longer be able to be used until the next day.

    Harrisown 28 January, 2015 @ 10:58 pm

    Totally agree
I have a Vita and a PS TV.
They NEED to sort out compatibility first and foremost.
ALL games the person owns should be playable on a PS TV unless they require the camera function.
With the knowledge that some of them may be in parts, unplayable.

ONLY games compatible with the PS TV should be viewable on the PS TV store and ALL games (like Danganronpa) should be compatible requardless of region.

So by default ALL games that don’t require the camera or touch screen should be on the PS TV store.

I scratch my head in this Sony world sometimes

YES! Very disappointed with not only the lack of Vita TV support but also the complete silence on Sony’s part, they yell and shout when they want to sell something but once we buy they act like it doesn’t exist. The same can be said about their 3D TV, PS Eye and Move.. they just sell and run with the money. It’s insulting, especially coming from a company as big as Sony.

No sale on this Week?
Deal of the Week only for PS4?
No february Plus reveal?

This is sad…

Tuulenpoika 28 January, 2015 @ 3:04 pm   5

And what’s up with Magical Beat’s availability? Are the missing countries going to be added to the availability list in the future? I sure hope so.

    Jawad Ashraf 28 January, 2015 @ 3:09 pm

If the publisher wishes for it to change, they will let us know.

    icecrasher_zero 28 January, 2015 @ 5:21 pm

Dude, can you go with your phone/tablet somewhere else? Everyone’s sick of your comments. If you hate Sony so much, please go hate it elsewhere.

    Tuulenpoika 28 January, 2015 @ 6:17 pm

    @icecrasher_zero

    If I wasn’t a fan of Sony’s consoles, I wouldn’t be complaining here.

    Tuulenpoika 29 January, 2015 @ 12:18 pm

    @icecrasher_zero

I slept over the night and still can’t fathom why you would label me as a “phone/tablet guy”. If I was one, would I have spent hundreds for Sony consoles and games on them and be here on these blog posts criticizing their flaws, since I use them pretty much every day?

I just want all games to be able to be played on devices they’re supposed to work on. I’m not asking for anything impossible – 90 % of the Vita TV compatibility list proves that – but apparently it’s enough for you to call me a “Sony hater”. Could you please explain your logic?

    icecrasher_zero 30 January, 2015 @ 8:37 pm

I’m Sorry Tuulenpoika, what i’ve written wasn’t replay for your comment. I was writing to Mario_4_Life. I see his accont was deleted/banned (finally!). Hope we’re good now 🙂

    Tuulenpoika 1 February, 2015 @ 11:34 am

    @icecrasher_zero

Oh, and here I was wondering what the hell was going on. Thanks for clearing that up, and sorry about lashing out. We’re good, don’t worry 😀

Jawad any plans for the mass effect DLC to go on sale soon? DLC is more expensive than the game in retail now.

Can you confirm that a video showing us the new Plus games for february while sounding a cool hip-hop like beat is coming our way today?

Faustofausto 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   8

Oh, and I almost forget: any news about DriveClub Plus version? Or DriveClub “dukenukemforever” version? 😀

I downloaded ‘Be the Zombie’ dlc this morning. It’s on the store free for everyone now after that physical delay. Will buy Dying Light when it’s cheaper and then play it

Where did you find it for free? I already own the game and the store is trying to charge me for the Be the Zombie DLC.

darthMUMPTY 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   10

Wow……totally uninspiring stuff again. How much worse can these updates get

Christoff1985 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   11

Hi,

Is there any reason, why we still didn’t see the price drop of Escape Plan DLCs like US got ages ago?

    Christoff1985 29 January, 2015 @ 8:19 am

    @ Mario

To be honest, I don’t. I spent too much time for the last few years observing the comment sections of the blog, to have any hope. Things got even worse after big success of PS4.

SCEE marketing department is awful. It looks like 4ThePlayers is all about stronger hardware than competition, nothing else.

As for the Escape Plan – most people, who played the game from November IGC, already lost their interest in the DLCs. In this matter SCEE still have to learn a lot from SCEA.

All the time we are hearing that US and EU are two different regions and sales cannot be the same, the pricing must be different, but then Fred is writting that they post IGC lineup in the evening because it is good time for both regions. Either You are one company or not. Start treating Your customers equally.

crimsonidol-de 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   12

Deal of the week only for PS4?
Another move of Sony to show that something like the vita never existed?

    Jawad Ashraf 28 January, 2015 @ 3:10 pm

Deal of the week will be PS4 focussed going forward. You will still find Vita and PS3 content on offer in other promotions throughout the year, though.

    Porcupeth00 28 January, 2015 @ 3:14 pm

That’s actually good.. The PS4 needed this and it’s about time. Hope it gets better deals than in 2013. Vita might seem like it gets less attention but it had faaaar better deals last year than anything on the PS4.

    Angelic_Rave 29 January, 2015 @ 1:13 am

Is there a reason why Jawad? That’s just the worst customer service move I’ve ever heard. Why alienate two separate portions of the Playstation fanbase?

Nowadays customer service is everything. The fact that you guys are so difficult to contact for questions and you seem to make decisions without explaination, it’s no wonder the Sony hate train is as strong as ever. Disgraceful.

X_Blood_Curse_X 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   13

Resogun US price $14.99
Resogun UK price £9.99

Grim Fandango US price $14.99
Grim Fandango UK price £11.99

Why is this?

    Why?

    SCEE -> that’s why

    WearingFin 28 January, 2015 @ 3:20 pm

The pound has gotten significantly stronger against the dollar in the year or so between these two releases, therefore the new release has been priced accordingly by the US company who released it. Also UK price includes sale tax, US does not. $15 = £9.87, plus 20% VAT equals £11.84. So you’re losing out on 15p, enough for a Freddo bar.

Because this is how economy works.

    @wearingthin

You state the US does not pay sales tax…you are wrong they do and its variable from state to state. There are only very few states that do not charge sales tax (Alaska being one), Even adding on sales tax the items are still cheaper as there is some make believe world where the American $ has value…well if you say so.

Also might want to check as rules on digital content changed on the first of Jan this year…which seemed to infer VAT should be paid from the first….so Sony since Nov 2010 has been charging VAT on a service that should have been exempt….not to mention that the EU has stated the consumer has a right to sell our digital content and yet Sony has not implemented a means to facilitate to its consumers resell their content…not to mention charging VAT for items prior to 2015 which should of been exempt. You could even argue that by not allowing us to sell on our digital content is in violation of the rules set by the EU court.

As of today £1 is equal to $1.51784 ($1.52) or £11.99 is equal to $18.20 so then if they are including the VAT in that £11.99 price then maybe devs should start pricing their content properly for their EU consumers instead of pretending the American $ is worth more than it really is

    TrueMurton 28 January, 2015 @ 4:40 pm

    @wearingfin

Actually there is no tax applied to download prices in the US whatsoever. And due to a flaw in the tax system of most EU countries tax isn’t applied here either on downloads.

Also the true price difference works out at 60% in real terms, if it was purely tac then our prices should work out as 16% higher. The true reason behind the price difference is that promise that Sony made at E3 2013 when they said that game RRP would not increase this gen, US and Japan prices have been frozen and Europe is having to pay the price increase for everyone globally on our own so that the revenue numbers continue to go up instead of down.

The pricing hasn’t been right for a while now.

Take Shadow of Mordor: Legion Edition as an example:
    US Store: $49.99
    UK Store: £54.99

Yes, the UK edition has some extra stuff as it’s a bundle, but even still, this pricing strategy seems set out to rip off the EU consumers!

    WearingFin 28 January, 2015 @ 5:57 pm

@izorpo – Whether or not the US pays sales tax is a non issue, the fact is that you have to pay it as a British resident. It shouldn’t be up to the developer to take a hit depending on the varying tax rates across the world. The product is $10 before tax, after tax explains why the cost went from around £10 to £12. In terms of the new EU tax ruling, that simply removes the Luxembourg issue of charging lower tax rates. If you sell a digital good to a British resident, then the British sales tax would have to apply, i.e. 20%

@residentsteve – see previous re tax rules. As for your 60% mantra, you have been saying that when it was £1:$1.7, yet here we are now at $1.5. It also doesn’t apply to digital releases, especially in this case, but rather RRP for retail games. Difference excluding tax is 12p, if you conveniently ignore US sales tax then it’s up to £2.12. Neither is 60%.

    WearingFin 28 January, 2015 @ 5:59 pm

Of course i meant @truemurton for the last point, i can’t believe that i managed to confuse people based on an avatar.

CookieMonsterES 28 January, 2015 @ 3:06 pm   14

Hey, Jawad, could you please have a look at the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Death Vessel Pack DLC, PS4 version? It doesn’t seem to be showing in the Store. Thanks in advance.

furryhawk 28 January, 2015 @ 3:07 pm   15

Are we not getting the EA publisher sale?

Pingu_AFC 28 January, 2015 @ 3:07 pm   16

Compared to the us store, this is atrocious. They got a sale today involving all sorts of Ea stuff and we just get a random ps4 game that most people have got already. Also we pay around 40% more for everything considering the exchange rate. Please at least make an attempt to make the content similar to the US offerings as this is getting beyond a joke, who pays £55 now it’s 2015!!

I doubt you’ll reply but please at least make an effort. It’s all about money nowdays eh?

If you look at the whining about Dying light download issues on the playstation uk twitter account, it appears that an awful lot of people are willing to shell out £55 for a digital game. Boggles my mind.

Liam_Croft 28 January, 2015 @ 3:08 pm   17

£55 for Dying Light, guess I’ll be waiting for the physical release. That digital price is an absolute joke, and insult to customers.

The pricing on the PS store is so out of touch with reality it’s like they are actually trying to dissuade people from buying digitally. I’d love to know why.

    THUNDERCAT1973 28 January, 2015 @ 3:37 pm

mario you do know that its the same price on the UK xbox store, months since i have been on here but here you are still moaning about sony, do you even own a ps3 or 4, if yes sell it because from your posts you really hate them. also its the developer/publisher that set the prices, granted sonys own games shouldn’t be so expensive but dont blame them for other company’s prices. have both a xbox one and ps4 i have to give xbox one owners there due a lot less moaners on there site than gets on here

iWillBattle 28 January, 2015 @ 3:08 pm   18

Is the Grim Fandango PS4 theme going to be available in the EU? I know it was a pre-order bonus, but it was never possible to preorder Grim Fandango Remastered over here. I’d be willing to buy it separately, I’d just really like that theme!

Please don’t buy themes. On PS3 we could set any picture we wanted as a background now on PS4 Sony want us to pay for a limited selection of generally rubbish themes.

I’m not willing to buy it, but am annoyed that they have ignored this question on Facebook and Twitter several times over the past few weeks. I doubt they will provide an answer now. Communication definitely lacking for the EU folk.

    iWillBattle 28 January, 2015 @ 4:58 pm

I don’t mind buying themes that bring new menu styles, and new audio and moving elements to my home screen. It feels a lot more worthwhile. While being able to have any pic would be nice, the noir-ish jazz that plays with the Grim Fandango theme would be fantastic when I boot up my PS4

Murak_Modder 28 January, 2015 @ 3:08 pm   19

Wait wait wait, where’s Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth 2: Sisters Generation!?

Please say its coming out soon.

No Rocksmith import ps4 news?

The two new Livery Packs for Driveclub aren’t free, they both cost 0,75 euros.

Finka_Karfein 28 January, 2015 @ 3:10 pm   22

You just couldn’t give a discount for Cole’s Legacy. You just couldn’t comment on the 10% discount code expiring too early. Seems you don’t want me to buy this DLC, so be it.

SSJ4_Haruhi 28 January, 2015 @ 3:10 pm   23

Life is Strange for me! 🙂

Nice to see some episodic games from a developer other than Telltale, even though I like Telltale. 🙂

Good Week!!

Jawad could You see whats going on with The Season pass for lego batman 3(PS4 version)??? Its not showing up on The portuguese or UK Store and i really want to buy it.

Thanks

1. When will u annouce the IGC for PS+ in Feb?
2. I’m still hoping for Resident Evil HD Remaster avatars and Miku avatars.
3. What happened to your update of blog? It seems that u had nothing for yesterday.
4. I saw the update of content of this week since midi, weird, huh?

    Fred Dutton 28 January, 2015 @ 3:15 pm

IGC news should be with you tomorrow, though as ever, that is subject to change.

Yes, it was a quiet day yesterday! 2015 is still getting going. Lots of stuff planned for the rest of the week though.

    @Fred Dutton

Anything about Vita? Apart from the fact that you are cutting off the support for YouTube and Maps apps?

I ask for the news for PS+ content as i’m in charge of the PS3 content + many PS games in a VG forum. Sorry to bother u but if you have a regular calender to annouce the new IGC content i’ll be glad. Because sometimes u gave the news of IGC on Wednesday sometimes on Thursday. And at the end of some month or at the beginning of some month. I’m really confused about that.

I hope that everything goes well for the EU PS and i hope this will be a huge year for all PS gamers thanks.

“Quiet day” huh…. time that could have been used to fix the problems with Rocksmith DLC, or make some progress on the backlog of legacy Rocksmith DLC? too much to hope for?

    fps_d0minat0r 28 January, 2015 @ 5:15 pm

    @ Fred
    But its wednesday today.

Can you atleast tell us the games which have been finalised?

That’s the second time Sony didn’t respect his promise.

Where is Trivial Pursuit Live (Part of the Hasbro Game Channel by Ubisoft)??
And Risk?

Darlo-Richie 28 January, 2015 @ 3:11 pm   27

Any chance of Legend of Dragoon making a long awaited appearance on the store? The US version looks usable if the PAL version is not workable.

DO NOT BUY DYING LIGHT!!……waited till midnight last night to play it, was great fun for 2 hours….went on it this morning and lost all my skills and weapons…but my story progress is still there :(…this is game breaking…not had a single response from techland, tweeted them, facebooked them, and signed up on there forums…no answer…complete joke…payed 55 quid for a game i literally cant play….VERY very unhappy gamer 🙁

Actually the same thing happened with Dead Island. If you were fortunate to get the game a few days earlier then all progress was messed up and any challenge progression etc was broken and inadequate. In the end I had to delete the save and start again

    CoolRichy007UK 28 January, 2015 @ 3:25 pm

People ignore him dying light is fine he is just trying to ruin sony yet again

    CoolRichy007UK 28 January, 2015 @ 3:28 pm

Tipical usa gets farcry 4 hurk deluxe dlc n Europe dont get it yet if this keeps happinin with missing dl n games for Europe sony will loze gamers and il spell how i like my post my spelling .Right back to assasins creed unity best game ever

lzorpo, yeah dude i remember that, i assumed after 5 years. they would have learned from their mistakes :(…im honestly soo disapointed been really excited for this game 🙁

    CoolRichy007UK 28 January, 2015 @ 3:31 pm

Oh and Europe NOT Got any New themes yet but usa has 1st Europe not get costume quest 2 now no new themes well i say sack all Europe sony staff n hire people that do care about us gamers

coolrichy007uk, how the hell am i trying to ruin sony hahaha, this is nothing to do with sony its all techland, grow up, was just warning people who may have been as excited as i was to get this game, and now im sat not able to play it because its broken 🙁

Anything by Techland I will just wait to play on release day nothing more frustrating than to nearly finish a game and be forced to start over because of day 1 release updates.

    dark_angel69 28 January, 2015 @ 3:58 pm

I was looking to get the game day one but it’s because they made Dead Island and it turned out to be a big mess on me, I can’t trust them. Looks like I made the right choice holding off on it until its cheap and gets fixed.

The problem with Dead Island, seems to be their ideas weren’t as easily achievable as they initially stated. Originally it was suppose to be a 360 exclusive (the original game announce was a 2008 if not earlier release. Everything they wanted to implement just wasn’t possible with either the PS3 and 360. I doubt it would even be possible on PS4 or the other console to facilitate their ideas (the layer damage you were suppose to be able to do fell short). Ideas are great but I suspect the ram needed to bring their original ideas to fruition would have needed terraflops or gb to run instead of the small amount of ram as in mb in the ps3

lzorpo, i must say they have got everything right that they have been aiming for since dead island, the controls are more fluid in dying light, its runs sooo smooothly, its a joy to slay zombies and free run the game is awesome 🙂 and thats why im sooo angry because i want to be playing it :(….but this bug is game breaking it really is, iam unable to go play the game again, because i could put hours into getting my skills up only for it to reset as soon as i turn my ps4 off :(, i wana cry 🙁 lol

    TheBusterMan 29 January, 2015 @ 8:18 pm

No offense, but you paid £55 for a digital game? Phew!

No word on the Rock Band dlc?

Driveclub

Apex Livery Pack (Free)
Sakura Livery Pack (Free)

those are not free… in my store they cost around 80cents each(EU BG) and it wants it`s money i checked…

sully1311 28 January, 2015 @ 3:15 pm   31

Sky Go/TV from Sky is also available on PS3 now. No PR from Sony about this is very very weird!

Shadiochao 28 January, 2015 @ 3:15 pm   32

Are we not getting a weekly sale anymore?

And by weekly sale, I don’t mean a single game.

Will Life is Strange demo be available in Europe as well?

Lethalx08 28 January, 2015 @ 3:16 pm   34

Jawad is there any plans for past Mortal Kombat games to be released on the PS store or at the very least Mortal Kombat Deception: Unchained (PSP/Vita) to be released over here, NA have had it since April 2013 & i think Warner Bros forgot about us.

I’ve poster on the MK fan page but not sure what else to do.

Wasn’t Dying Light pushed back to 27th of Feb? I received an email from Shopto stating that, is it just physical versions that get delayed release?

Also….

Onigiri…when? Had info about the game and it was suppose to be released mid 2014?
Oreshika: when? Guess it’s never in the west but I picked up a used copy of the Japanese release for £12
My Singing Monsters: when? Are god games somehow a big no no in SCEE territories?

Now let the silence and tumbleweed flow

Can we get any info on PS Blog about why YouTube and Maps app won’t be supported on Vita? Look, you can’t communicate only via twitter. Majority of gamers don’t even follow you on your twitter.

Yes we know that you guys hate Vita and would rather want it to never exist, but it does exist. And hey, no matter what you say it has many owners, more than Wii U which is constantly supported by Nintendo (something what you won’t understand)

And you recommend that people should use youtube via Vita’s browser… are you like crazy or something? You know that your browser is not working anywhere close to how it should, right? It doesn’t support majority of plug-ins, images are usually not displayed, browser is freezing all the time etc. And you want us… to use that browser to watch youtube?

You had so much time to prepare for a changes on YouTube… but you didn’t even care about Vita. Why not just admit that you are cutting off the support for Vita? Why not call it PlayStation Mort (PSM).

    CoolRichy007UK 28 January, 2015 @ 3:34 pm

I dont hate vita or like it i just dnt want it or need it lol

    Tuulenpoika 28 January, 2015 @ 3:38 pm

I second this. I just found out few minutes ago about Youtube support dropping later his year and I’m absolutely baffled. Have any of you actually tried to use Youtube on Vita’s browser? It’s bloody atrocious. I can’t remember any other case in which the platform creator has flat out sabotaged a platform of its own so badly, simply by their own deeds. Or maybe the lack thereof. Vita needs more support from you guys, not reducing the support even more. What the hell are you doing?

Not all your userbase members are going to buy PS4, you can safely count me out from that group, I’ve always had faith in Vita as one of the greatest portable consoles ever made, and seeing it get treated like this makes the already wasted potential hurt even more.

So much for “long live the Vita” heard during the last big conference. If you don’t care about Vita, how about finding people who actually do and giving some power to them? Vita is a standalone console with awesome potential, not a PS4 add-on gadget.

    Finka_Karfein 28 January, 2015 @ 4:30 pm

PS Vita is a great platform but only when you love Japanese games. I do so I’m still happy with my PSV but still… what the heck is Sony doing with PS Move? It’s supported by PS4 and PS Camera and I have 4 pieces of this controller… and what? No more games?

    Timberman80 28 January, 2015 @ 4:36 pm

With all my heart i agree with both Archacus and Tuulenpoika! I will not get a PS4 in a long time, just basd om the way you treat the Vita…

(However, I just recently got a ps3 since i got a Gaems portable case for it :))

    thekillingspree 28 January, 2015 @ 7:37 pm

I only found out about Sony removing YouTube and Maps support on Vita by reading your post just now, Archacus! Can’t say that I’m surprised with the decision… Though I am definitely somewhat shocked about it. I guess it’s just another nail (in a long list of nails) in Vita’s coffin.

I may have tried the Vita browser two or three times and that thing is horrid! It would stop loading pages most of the time (forcing me to close the app and re-open it) and, when it did load stuff, it just didn’t seem right most of the time. I didn’t even dare to check YouTube on it!

This kind of decisions from Sony regarding their (not so loved) Vita saddens me, truly. But their lack of communication with us, their clients, depresses me deeply.

I can barely believe this is the same company from which I bought a PlayStation 20 years ago…

YouTube is being pulled because Google is discontinuing support. In the meantime, I’ll be using my Vita to play video games, thank you very much. Video games that still come out in spades for the platform. So much for Sony “hating” the thing.

So I bought Dying Light digitally but I can’t download it!? It just says start the application but he can’t start it because I couldn’t download it oO

    krazeeklown 29 January, 2015 @ 10:14 am

Thanks to JeZus on the Techland Forums who posted this solution!

    1. Turn on PS4 and ensure internet is connected.

    2. Log on to a PC and log into the Playstation Store through your internet browser.

    3. Click Games-> Playstation Plus -> Exclusives

    4. Click the FarCry 4 theme and proceed to checkout.

    5. In the bottom right hand corner you should see ‘Download List’

    6. Dying Light should be found in the Download List. Cancel the download and retry by pressing ‘Download to PS4′

    7. It will take a minute or two to kick in, but should nonetheless.

    8. Go to your PS4, go into notifications and it should say that it is downloading.

    krazeeklown 29 January, 2015 @ 2:37 pm

this WORKS mine is now downloading,,, do it

“The Dying Light physical release has been delayed i’ll check out the digital price. I’m constantly being told it’s the future and it’s only a matter of time until it replaces those lovely discs I like to buy and can then later sell. As it’s delayed maybe they’ll lower the price to make it a bit more appealing to those wanting to buy it”

*** checks price

“£55 eff that, i’m out”

I per-ordered on Shopto and the price was around £39 and that was with dlc for gold members. Just checked and regular price for non-gold is £41.99….so if interested in playing a savings of £14 can be had (which of course means you have £14 to put towards the purchase of another game

Cant help but notice that the Rock Band 3 DLC that was supposed to be released last week still isnt on the store. WTH is going on

Incase anyone doesn’t know yet, Sony is removing Maps and Youtube from Vita aswell as taking away most functionality from Near, If you look on the PS Store you will find they have already gotten rid of the youtube app.

While I and many others couldn’t care about the first 2 going, a new Youtube html5 app is needed.

So by limiting Near that means certain games that are reliant on Near will be removed as well or worse broken?

I’m not bothered by removal of youtube (the on demand section of our humax satellite box delivers it well). It’s just weird because shouldn’t they be adding features as opposed to taking them away?

Are we ever going to get games that have been in North America since forever like 1001 Spikes, Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Dragon Fantasy II etc?

    supersmith2500 28 January, 2015 @ 4:49 pm

Well the good news is that X-Blaze Code Embryo is finally coming to Europe/UK in April with thanks to Fun Box Media publishing the game for Europe/UK. For the other games, I don’t any info yet but I’ll let you know.

I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve asked about these. I’ve even emailed and tweeted the publishers and never got a reply. How hard can it possibly be???

Danterikxx 28 January, 2015 @ 3:29 pm   46

That’s Nicalis for you, I have no hope for 90s Racer ever since they got their herpes-infected claws on it…

Would love to get Cave Story too. But seems like a long shot as 1001 Spikes seems MIA!!!
