Pure Hold’em unveiled for PS4

Try your luck at the poker table with the latest offering from VooFoo

It’s been a busy start to 2015 for everyone here at VooFoo Towers. We’re very pleased to announce that we’ve been hard at work on the latest, greatest addition to the ‘Pure’ series; Pure Hold’em! The first Texas Hold’em poker game to come to PlayStation 4.

We’re proud of the high level of expectation on every new VooFoo release and we’re not holding back on stunning visuals, silky-smooth gameplay or the purity of the experience.

Pure Hold’em will have full online multiplayer support. You can create a tournament with up to eight of your friends, or join an open table with other players looking for a quick poker fix.

The single player campaign of tournaments also has plenty to offer too – start your journey at the Joker table and work your way up to top of the Masters table. Buy your way into a game with credits, play your blinds, go all in – whatever it takes to steal the pot and win the game. If Lady Luck is on your side, you could win big and get the chance to enter a higher level table. The higher you go, the higher the stakes and the bigger the winnings! Don’t worry if you lose it all though, we’ve also included a High/Low game you can play to gain daily extra credits so you can start over!

Our artists have been hard at work creating two different environments to play in – the atmospheric casino, and for those of you who reach the prestigious Aces and Masters table you can advance up into the beautiful VIP penthouse. We’ve also included many more options for you to customise – everything from the colours and the patterns of the table felt, right up to choosing which set of cards and poker chips you want to play with.

To celebrate the Pure Hold’em announcement, Pure Pool is currently 40% off on PlayStation 4 with an additional 10% off for PS Plus subscribers.

We’re very excited to reveal Pure Hold’em to you all and can’t wait to unleash it on the world! The game will be playable for the first time at SXSW in Austin, Texas next month – if you’re lucky enough to be attending, be sure to check it out!

No it’s not free2play. You won’t find games of this quality under that title.

Please say it has video/chat like the old poker game on ps3.

I agree, I will get this when i see it has video chat 😀

Hi guys, we can’t say about video chat just yet as the list of features is still being finalised.

Looks interesting.

Going back to one of your previous games, are you ever going to re-patch the King of the Skies trophy for Big Sky infinity?

It still does/will not unlock by defeating 4 bosses and on some plays it is impossible to even get bosses to continually appear.

I can’t play poker but it sure looks pretty like your previous games. I want a Pure Mousetrap game next 🙂

Hi andrewsqual, don’t worry – there’s a tutorial to help you learn! We’re not sure if the world would be ready for a Pure Mousetrap game 😉

Looks good. How long after launch do you think it will be before we can play without fear of ‘losing connection’ and getting a loss for no reason? Hopefully you’ve learnt something from your pool game.

I’ll look forward to you not replying.

cool, i love a good poker game.

would have been nice if there were player avatars instead of just icons though.
but that’s just a cosmetic detail.

Great stuff Team VooFoo, every platform needs a great poker game, and this looks like the ticket :). Looking forward to giving it a run :).

I’m far more excited for this than I think I should be! Loving Pure Pool at the moment!
