PlayStation Plus: Your March Content Update

Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Counterspy and Sherlock Holmes also join the service

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the month again when we update you on all the goodies coming your way courtesy of PlayStation Plus. We’re bringing you a great mix of titles this month so let’s not waste any more time and crack on with the details!

New PlayStation 4 Content for March:

First up this month on PS4, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. Explore ancient ruins, dodge carnivorous beasts and avoid trigger-happy hunting parties as Abe, the original Oddworld hero in this lovingly re-crafted take on PlayStation classic Abe’s Oddysee.

Once a happy floor waxer in Oddworld’s biggest meat processing plant, Abe stumbles across his boss’s secret plan to turn the factory’s slave labour force into the latest in the RuptureFarms Tasty Treats line of novelty meat snacks. Abe now has to save his own skin from the grinders even if simply escaping the flesh farm is only the start of his Oddysee.

Next up, a story of love and crossed destinies in a world torn apart. In Valiant Hearts: The Great War, the lives of all the characters are inextricably drawn together over the course of the game. Friendship, love, sacrifice, and tragedy befall each one as they help each other to retain their humanity against the horrors of war.

New PlayStation 3 Content for March:

First up this month on PS3 enter the story of a young boy, Quico, and his best friend, Monster in Papo and Yo. Monster is a huge beast with razor-sharp teeth, but that doesn’t scare Quico away from playing with him. Build your friendship with Monster by solving puzzles together and adventuring through a magical, surrealist world. You will need to learn to use Monster’s emotions, both good and bad, to your advantage if you want to complete your search for a cure and save your pal.

Next up is your chance to step into the shoes of the legendary Sherlock Holmes using your detective talents to six thrilling cases including murders, missing persons, spectacular thefts and numerous investigations that sometimes lead you into the realms of the fantastic.

The great freedom of action in Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments allows you to conduct your investigations in the manner you deem appropriate. Choose the leads you wish to pursue, interrogate your suspects and, from your deductions, name the guilty parties… and determine their fate wisely, as surprising consequences may arise where you least expect them.

New PS Vita Content for March:

First up this month the sequel to a monster PS VITA / PS3 title which we can’t get enough of at PlayStation. OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood has a stunning new look, plucking you from the street and dropping you squarely in the middle of the big screen’s most bodacious cinematic locations.

The sequel boasts all new Ramps and Epic Hills allowing for monster air and multi-route levels. Furthermore, OlliOlli 2’s combo system has been expanded. The joy of Manuals, Reverts, Revert Manuals and Grind Switching giving you more control and expression than ever before.

Finally, CounterSpy is up for grabs. Take on the role of a spy working for the C.O.U.N.T.E.R. agency and use your espionage and combat skills to infiltrate the lairs of two global forces – each with their own dastardly plans to nuke the moon from orbit. As the warring superpowers face off in this twisted space race, jump into action to stealthily sabotage their devious schemes and maintain world peace.

As CounterSpy is Cross Buy, you can pick up this dangerously addictive title across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, enjoy!

First!

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 7:34 pm

That’s it though? No apology? No explanation for the delay? While the choice of games is overall pretty good (olliolli 2 and Papo and Yo in particular), an acknowledgement that the announcement was late and some kind of explanation would have been nice.

You man, god how i wish i could be first……..

    FrIeD-GoAt 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm

Man are gamers entitled these days or what?

    RichieS99 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm

If you want an explanation I would tell you to look at the URL. More specifically this part
    /playstation-plus-march-oddworld-dishonored-olliolli-2/
Looks like we were meant to get Dishonored and they needed to replace it at the last minute.

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm

I wouldn’t call having a company acknowledge that this month didn’t go entirely to plan (when there have been several comments which were less polite than mine) entitled.
A simple “Sorry about the wait folks, something went wrong but your March content will be added to the store on time” would have been sufficient.

I’ve worked in a position where I deal with clients and customers for several years, this is very basic stuff.

    dark_angel69 3 March, 2015 @ 7:44 pm

It would have been nice yes but the important thing is we are getting the games tomorrow right on time so we haven’t lost anything and we don’t even need to wait another week for them so that’s some good news.

    crusher915 3 March, 2015 @ 7:45 pm

Why??? The update came on time and wasn’t delayed, why do they need to apologize?

    FrIeD-GoAt 3 March, 2015 @ 7:47 pm

Johnny, waiting is hardly something to apologise for, the content is announced before release so what?
Can’t believe the ridiculousness of your attitude.

    ThugETH 3 March, 2015 @ 7:50 pm

Exactly. the content will available, on time as always. So they didn’t let you know exactly a few days earlier, so what.
They owe you nothing, not even an apology.

@richies99 Well spotted, id say that’s the reason right there. Why they couldn’t announce the rest with the last TBA.

    unbiased 3 March, 2015 @ 8:06 pm

sony us can apologise, eu just says stuff ya

    Fleexie 3 March, 2015 @ 8:22 pm

Actually some of you guys are wrong. The team behind the blog told us that the last Wednesday of the month they would announce it. They say it themselves. They put themselves in a position were they have a set timeframe for their announcements. So, yes they owe an explanation for their poor communication skills.

    The__Ewan 3 March, 2015 @ 8:28 pm

The don’t OWE people an explanation, but giving one is the decent, reasonable human thing to do. I do worry about how the folks who insist that expecting decent behaviour is somehow ‘ridiculous’ and ‘entitled’ act around other people in real life – if you act the way you seem to think Sony should everyone around you thinks you’re a selfish, rude, [MODERATED].

    ward1978 3 March, 2015 @ 8:28 pm

What is it with the entitled internet generation and their desperate need for ‘apologies’ every time something trivial happens?

Seriously, this has been an absolute non-event and yet we’ve had crying and trolling of blog posts for days simply because they wanted to know what the games would be a week earlier. Not the actual release date, but just knowing what the games were!

…and the reason why Sony, or most games companies, are reluctant to release statements and ‘explain’ things? For this exact attitude. If they tell you it will just be thrown back in their faces, questioned and argued against or interpreted as some legally binding statement of corporate negligence that will have whiny children screaming for refunds or compensation.

The real downside is all the outrage just becomes white noise so when it is time to really hold Sony to task over genuine issues it will have no affect.

    adumr82 3 March, 2015 @ 8:39 pm

I actually think an apology would have been the polite thing to do. SCEE previously announced titles would be announced a week in advance. That didn’t happen and acknowledgment would be the right thing to do. Good customer service would have been to keep people up to date with maybe a sticky blog post at the top, then people wouldn’t have been invading other posts. Communication is pretty awful from the company at the moment and its a shame as its the best way to happy customers.

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 8:46 pm

    @adumr82

My thoughts exactly. Perhaps it’s something to do with the UK, but an acknowledgement that something happened- even if it was completely justified- is to be expected in these situations. That’s not an example of being “entitled”, it’s simply a question of manners. I wouldn’t expect some sort of grovelling apology, but a sentence acknowledging that the announcement itself was later than usual would have been enough for me at least.

    ownjoouk 3 March, 2015 @ 9:19 pm

Why do they owe you an apology or an explanation? The games weren’t going to be out until tomorrow. They are coming out tomorrow. Nowhere does it state they have to tell you a week in advance so you can get a throb on about what the games are. They have done nothing wrong here.

Expecting an apology for no wrong doing is frankly ridiculous. They clearly had an issue which they have got around and got us a good week of games in time for the start of the month. You should be ashamed.

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 9:57 pm

    @ownjoouk

I should be ashamed of what exactly? We were told that the lineups would be revealed a week in advance. The lineup was almost a week late. For four days sony ignored questions from people on the blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. That’s not a good tactic when it comes to dealing with queries.
I’m not going to sit here and explain these things to you, as from the tone of your comment I honestly couldn’t care less. What I will say is that I raised something that I personally feel merits attention.

    Stunnaz84 3 March, 2015 @ 10:04 pm

calm down dude is not that serious, is just free games. March update march announcement. they dont owe us anything.

    ownjoouk 3 March, 2015 @ 10:21 pm

Its not set in stone they tell us a week in advance. Cut them some slack.

Its really not worth throwing your weight around in the comments. You get the games on time so its not worth all the sobbing.

    The__Ewan 3 March, 2015 @ 10:45 pm

“Why do they owe you an apology or an explanation?”

Because that’s what you do when you don’t do what people are, quite reasonably, expecting of you. They could have just said something like:

“Hi everyone, these are the March games, we know the announcement is later than normal, but we were working on a slightly different line up and couldn’t quite pull it together in time. We didn’t want to slip the actual release date, so we’ve brought forward a different game, and we’re still hoping to bring you the original one in the future.”

Simple, polite, decent. What’s the problem with that? Those are good things to be.

RichieS99, interesting observation. I noticed all the previous months threads also contain the game titles, all except this month. Dishonored was definitely pulled.

they DO owe us, they said the last Wednesday of each month they’d announce the titles. Again, SCEE continually prove they can’t even keep their own word, they don’t even apologise for it. SCEE is simply incapable of doing their jobs, if customers got this sort of treatment in ANY other industry they’d be sacked.

    NorthernFusion 3 March, 2015 @ 11:14 pm

I don’t think they owed us any apology, the games are on time, it’s just the announcement that wasn’t, big deal. I pay my sub fee for online play and for access to the games, not for apologies if something doesn’t go as planned.

    ownjoouk 3 March, 2015 @ 11:36 pm

Oh quick. Let’s all cry out for free games because they owe us an apology and never gave is one. Really guys, grow up.

To all saying that they owe us no apology. Please don’t ever run a business.

Businesses survive by keeping customers happy. Messing customers around as SCEE regularly does is what is bad for business and is what loses customers.

It may seem trivial to you, but to a large amount of people, communication is very important when you’re paying for a service. You are putting money towards the wages of SCEE staff, and as such, they should treat you with the utmost respect. A happy customer base makes for a happy business. SCEE and the blog staff really need to learn this.

Why an apology? They never give us the list at the start of the month, this is actually the quickest they’ve done. Get over it. Did you have nothing else to do?

    The__Ewan 4 March, 2015 @ 3:11 am

“Let’s all cry out for free games because they owe us an apology and never gave is one. Really guys, grow up.”

I’m not really seeing anyone doing that – just people expecting a basic level of ordinary everyday common decency. That’s not something that I think anyone should grow out of, and you still haven’t explained quite what your objection is to simple honesty.

    NorthernFusion 4 March, 2015 @ 4:11 am

    @d-gal

We pay £40 a year for access to 72 games a year plus online play and store discounts. I couldn’t care less if they were a week late with an announcement, I don’t feel abused, I don’t feel like I haven’t gotten my money’s worth, you and many others are acting like they’ve forcibly shoved something down the backend. Over what? An announcement that was a week late with no apology? Come on. Not one single member has been abused here as much as some like to cry wolf.

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:09 am

    1) We have been officially told that the last Wednesday of the month is when the PS Plus announcements will be made. We didn’t get the announcement last week.

    2) The first Wednesday of the month is when we get the PS Plus games. Which we are getting.

The non announcement is where an apology should have been given. It’s really not that complicated, just a:

    ***
    Dear PS Plus subscribers,

We are unable to announce the PS Plus games for March 2015 today due to unforeseeable circumstances. However, we will keep you updated in this blog post as more develops.

Kindly keep any PS Plus questions and comments in this section.

    Thanks.

    SCEE
    ***

Sony do not need your loyalty. Just pay your PS plus subscriptions, buy their consoles and their gaming products. That’s all they need: Your money. This is a business, and no one forces you to do anything.

All most customers want in return for this is courtesy.

    Chr15toff3e 4 March, 2015 @ 12:56 pm

No apology is necessary. You’re not the only one who is spitting their dummy out over this, Johnnycide, but to demand answers for the delay is stupid. Check yo’self before you wreck yo’self.

When Plus first started “way-way” back, gamers like Coolrichy, Catkiller, ChrisandSheva and myself got told on the day that they were available for download. That was considered normal. And the likes of Andy Stewart would barely answer any questions. I used to type his name in block capitals to get his attention, and still it didn’t work. It may not look it, but these guys at SCEE do a good job now. And the service is miles better. Although I miss the themes, avatars and Ps1 games ;).

I agree with a few others on here who are saying that you should lay off them, because you should. At the end of today, you’ll have your games that you were promised (which happened to arrive on time anyway) and you can forget about those naughty people at SCEE who never told you about the games a week before.

Kids today, eh? Don’t know how good they’ve got it. 😉

    Dermado 4 March, 2015 @ 4:28 pm

Im amazed at how stupid people are in this thread.

The reason behind SCEE even telling you the games in advanced, is irt last year. Around the time they forced Singstar on you (and if you dont know how that went? Yeah, badly.) They had games on “sale” and then on a 12 days of SCEE “sale” (“Sale” because they were already massively overpriced and simply over priced after the short discount) some of those games then showed up a week or so later on PS+.

So, naturally everyone that purchased it was upset (the one I remember was Sleeping Dogs) since then they warn you on the blog if something is going to be in PS+ that is confirmed, atleast if its later that month.

As for people saying nonsense like “What, you complain about Free games?” Its not free. You pay for the service.

Assume everyone Pro-SCEE in this or any other case is a troll or ill educated or misinformed.

    Dermado 4 March, 2015 @ 4:31 pm

And. SCEE still dont reply to questions, dont be mistaken, being lied to and given bad or wrong information.
Things being less bad compared to the past is nothing to praise. Nor does it make sense to say its not as good as it usually is, but hey, its not as bad as it used to be \o/.

SCEE only reply up to a few hours after the blog is made, avoid the vast majority of relevant, useful questions and just re-answer the same nonsense that is so super specific and usually in the bulk of the post -.-

    Chr15toff3e 4 March, 2015 @ 6:08 pm

The only person that’s stupid is Dermado. If you don’t like something, then stop buying it. Simple as that. But I notice that little yellow plus sign next to your picture. Must not be that bad to ditch them altogether, eh foolio?

Cue your excuse for not ditching Ps4, and why everyone else is still ill educated or misinformed.

    BigPaja 4 March, 2015 @ 9:16 pm

I’m truly AMAZED by some reactions in this thread. “Entitled”, “whining”, et cetera?

Hilaveli (1.30) summarised it well. We were promised two things:
    1) We would be given the list of upcoming PS+ games on the last Wednesday of every month.
    2) The games would be available on the first Wednesday of the month.

Promise 2 was kept, promise 1 wasn’t. Now, promise 1 has much less significance than promise 2 in the grand scheme of things but what we were upset by is not really that promise 1 wasn’t kept. We were upset by the LACK OF COMMUNICATION on Sony’s part. The only thing we got was one solitary comment from Fred Dutton last Friday on an unrelated blog post. IGN even featured Fred’s comment as a news story pertaining to PS+. How nuts is that! No one knew what was happening, no one. And that was disconcerting.

Now, does Sony “owe” us an apology and/or an explanation. No, because “owe” is too strong a word. But we “deserve” an apology and/or an explanation on the grounds that a promise was not kept. That is basic common courtesy and decency.

Imagine You promise to do something for someone at a certain time. You also promise to update that person on Your progress one week before the deadline. Not only do You not give the promised update but You also ignore all messages of concern from that person. You then do Your thing before the deadline. The person is happy that what was to be done was done but wants to know what took You so long and why did You not communicate. Now, would You tell that person to shut up, suck it up and that You don’t owe them any kind of communication because the main thing was done on time? You wouldn’t. At least I hope You wouldn’t because decent people wouldn’t.

That’s the situation we’re dealing with here. Do You understand, FrIeD-GoAt, crusher915, ThugETH, ward1978, ownjoouk, Stunnaz84, NorthernFusion, Tydeus and Chr15toff3e?

    Chr15toff3e 4 March, 2015 @ 10:09 pm

Sony doesn’t owe anyone an apology BigMoaner. They got them out on time. There’s no pleasing people like you anyway, because you always find something else to complain about. And yes, you do come across like an entitled whiner. You summarised it best, forget that Hilaveli guy.

You want the last say? Then have it. But when the next time YOU post a ridiculous amount of posts demanding games you want to see on PSN or Plus, you need to think why would they ever listen to you if SCEE don’t value your custom. Don’t be a tool and demand stuff, and then rip them apart when things don’t go the way you want it. That’s just duplicity at it’s finest.

You have every right to complain. I just think that this isn’t one of them. You single out names like they’re on your s**t-list, and that’s my problem, you don’t like it when people don’t agree with you. You just want to label someone the enemy, but at least find a better reason than “we need an apology for not announcing the games a week before”. It’s like I said in my first post, I think it’s stupid.

But whatever, right? You’ll carry on moaning as usual while the majority of people are too busy enjoying the games they got today to even remotely care. So I’m done making my point.

    MossyMos 5 March, 2015 @ 1:46 am

My God johnnycide ! What is wrong with you? Step away from the controller. Interact with other living people. Do something else…..something different to this.

Do you realise how little you pay each month to get these PS+ offerings? Get some perspective and a couple more years under your belt. Please.

    @Hilaveli

I still don’t see the problem, adding “sorry for it being late” isn’t really going to change anything is it? You’re still going to be downloading the games as you normally would. Just because I don’t care if they apologise doesn’t mean I’m being loyal to them.. actually staying subscribed to PS+ and still buying PS games does that for me.

All companies are equally as greedy, no need to really suck up to any of them, and there’s also no need to cry every time someone doesn’t say thank you, or bless you, or open the door for you. It isn’t hard to get over it. You’re just probably wanting the apology to be an additional game, it wont ever happen. We get 2 real games, 1 for the PS3 and another for the PS4 with the rest being games that should’ve died out in the 90s just so they can make up the numbers. They’re all the same too, like the 90s! I don’t care though, plenty of games for just £40 a year.

Where’s the “I enjoy this month’s ps+ update but have enjoyed Sony’s lack of communication about as much as I would enjoy being assaulted by a Baboon” option?

    Alphaembryo 3 March, 2015 @ 8:04 pm

NO, no no! You are doing it wrong!
There is a space between the ”>>” and the letter that follows!
You have to make sure you… dot the i’s and cross the t’s when dealing with this highly scientific stuff…

    andrewsqual 3 March, 2015 @ 8:48 pm

@WayfaringWalrus Isn’t that the very reason why people voted the second option? Because it DEFINITELY ain’t for the obviously great content itself that the second option was voted.

    WayfaringWalrus 3 March, 2015 @ 9:16 pm

@andrewsqual I think you may be right there, definitely think that the main reason everyone’s so annoyed is the poor customer service we’ve all received. I was expecting something like Basement Crawl on it’s own and that they were too scared to tell us, so I guess I’m pleasantly surprised, all’s well that ends well I suppose but it’d be nice if we weren’t ever kept in the dark for this long again.

It’s a decent update, but I already own Oddworld, and I’m trying to move on from my cream-crackered PS3, yet all the non-indie games are only on PS3 (despite them being games available on PS4 for the past 2 months).

    CluckNuggets 3 March, 2015 @ 11:50 pm

Enjoy! Oddworld belongs on PS4 or VITA. It does surprise me how many people are still buying the little games despite the fact they’ll all be free eventually on PS+

    johnnytravels 4 March, 2015 @ 10:24 am

    >> PS Plus cloud storage is too small for all these big ass PS4 savegames on top of years of PS3 ones! Increase in amount absolutely necessary! (because really, Sony, that’s what cloud space is for, so you don’t have to manage everything but still get to keep your data)

CitizenEldar 3 March, 2015 @ 7:33 pm   3

Counter Spy is cool. I recommend.

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:18 am

Thank you for your recommendation. I shall return my feedback here once I have tried it out.

    Hilaveli 8 March, 2015 @ 8:19 am

@CitizenEldar: Having spent about 4hrs playing this, I really love the look, and the music of the game. The leader board system, and the way you climb up it: It’s quite unique to me as I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

I must also point out that there are some frustrating game play elements about the game. For me, I normally encountered this when it came to making the decision between a stealth strategy and a ‘guns blazing strategy’. As I unlock different elements of the game, it becomes a lot easier to get through these decisions.

I’m still to fully complete it, but so far it’s one of those that isn’t a bad addition to anyone’s Plus games collection. I’ll say it’s an enjoyable game but do expect some gamers frustration once in a while.

Charliesauce 3 March, 2015 @ 7:33 pm   4

It’s finally here! I haven’t picked up any of these…and a brand new title for FREE. Well done PlayStation the wait was worth it.

I walked out the grocery with a bag full of FREE food! The cashier took £40, but that’s ok, it’s not like I paid for anything. Playstation Plus logic, sigh.

    MrEibmoz 3 March, 2015 @ 11:22 pm

Well there are 12months in a year so by your analogy you just paid less than £4 for £40 of shopping.

Hey, supvic, if you wanted to BUY all of these games, it’d set you back more than £86.50!

IF I wanted to, but I don’t even want to buy one of these games. Regardless of the perceived value, don’t ever call games you’ve paid to rent as “free games.”

How come supvic? What would happen if they do? People on PS4 have PS+ for online multiplayer. I have PS+ for the game save cloud and automatic updates.

Such fiery fierce attitude. You should be a diva or Beyonce.

    This is Godlike.

    NorthernFusion 4 March, 2015 @ 4:13 am

    ‘A diva or Beyonce’

    lmao!

then what’s it got to do with me? Morltha was saying it’s worth it if I wanted to buy these games, but I don’t. That’s besides the point though, everyone’s misconstrued my original post somehow.

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:20 am

Love that ‘diva or Beyonce’ comment too. Its like diva is one level, then Beyonce is next level XD

    Jordy2211221 5 March, 2015 @ 6:08 am

Why hello my fellow NZers!I say free games under a subscription ARE free, since you’re really paying for other features (such as online for PS4, as BankeA said)… also how could you not want to buy a single one of these? Not even Oddworld or CounterSpy?

sailorcuecas 3 March, 2015 @ 7:34 pm   5

Vita got shafted as has been the norm lately.

    olliolli2 looks sweet

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 7:36 pm

Have you played counterspy? Vita didn’t get shafted. I’d argue that vita got the best games this month.

    BluSpykz 3 March, 2015 @ 7:40 pm

Agreed with Johnny. I’ve played none of them, but watching gameplay videos just now, Vita has got a great line up. PS4 too.

    Poor PS3…

    NorthernFusion 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm

The best Vita selection in some time imho.

    European_Gamer 3 March, 2015 @ 7:45 pm

It’s easy to complain and that has been the norm lately. Which games do you want for PS+ on Vita? It is running out of AAA games.

    100% disagree.

    misi2mezei 3 March, 2015 @ 8:09 pm

@European_Gamer well I don’t know, like JRPGs? There are a lot of them. I would be glad to play Touikiden, Disagea, Hyperdimension Neptune(even producing perfection), Conception 2, FFX-X2 HD, Sword art Online, Demon Gaze, Danganronpa and I could go like this for hours.
And if they don’t want to give us japanese games, then Killzone, Resistance, Tearaway, Batman, Assassin’s Creed and so on.

Counterspy looks great visually, but gameplay doesn’t really seem to hold up. At least the ratings barely manage to scratch the 70%.

OlliOlli2 is a question of taste. I’d prefer to play Valiant Hearts on the Vita, tbh.

But in comparison to the PS3, the Vita seems rather acceptable.

    SwissColony 3 March, 2015 @ 8:53 pm

misi2mezei – If they gave us any JRPGs I’d feel I’d been shafted. I *hate* JRPGs. I like getting the Indie titles on Vita. These are games I’d never buy. We’ve had a few I’ve been bowled over by – Thomas was Alone, Guacamelee, Velocity Ultra to name a few.

Another good month as far as I’m concerned! Particularly

    smokeypsd 3 March, 2015 @ 10:40 pm

It must be the in thing to complain about every single plus update… I feel uncool thinking that some of these games, month after month are actually decent, some great even.

Scratch that, it must be the in thing to just complain…

    OLDSKOOL_O-G 4 March, 2015 @ 10:48 am

Ps plus is optional with vita , im screwed as i have a ps4 so i have to buy plus just to go online

    OLDSKOOL_O-G 4 March, 2015 @ 11:03 am

There are better titles ps4 could have ie thief , knack , lego marvel , call of duty ghosts , assassins creed black flag , killzone , driveclub , tomb raider remastered , last of us remastered , plants vs zombies garden warfare , sherlock holmes , watchdogs just to name a few these games are all in the bargain bin when i go to my game store also theres variety in that list stop it with the indies , at the end of the day you make your money out of AAA gamers give them something back i can play better games on my ipad for free than the ones listed for ps4

    AlucardTepes_DE 4 March, 2015 @ 2:02 pm

I keep saying the good games don’t come…Phantasy Star Online 2, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, Fate Hollow Ataraxia -Remake, Steins;Gate(even though there was announcement it was never heard of)… and this list could go On and On.

Kinda saddens me, when I buy a JP Console to play Japanese Games and they don’t come out…

Anyway This plus Month isn’t so bad, regardless I don’t like any of those games but they sound good.

    Jordy2211221 5 March, 2015 @ 6:09 am

I still haven’t gotten games that were unrated here in NZ, so I know that feel more than most. Though I think Vita has 2 good games this month.

Nearly all of these were in recent sales…..

    Sadodee 3 March, 2015 @ 7:46 pm

I think you meant; Nearly none of these were in recent sales, seeing as how only two of them have been recently on sale.

Great games for this month though, I haven’t played any of them and I’ve been considering purchasing multiple of them in the past but didn’t and I’m glad I waited.

So Valiant hearts, counterspy, Oddworld and Sherlock holems have all had discounts in the last few months. That makes 4 out of 6. Olli Olli 2 is new and I’m not sure about Papo and yo-but yes 4 out of 6 is closer to nearly all than nearly none

    Sadodee 4 March, 2015 @ 11:06 am

You do know that Playstation Europe have multiple sales each month, where new ones replace the older ones every two weeks? Therefore, those sales you are thinking about were not “recent”, on the contrary, they’re pretty old. Have it not been for the frequent sales, I would’ve agreed with you. But the recent ones I can remember had only Oddworld and Valiant Hearts. CounterSpy and Sherlock were in older sales.

When I say recent I’m talking time not number of sales. I don’t see why number of sales is an issue. Also they were all on sale in the same sale I believe

    Sadodee 4 March, 2015 @ 11:24 am

Let me quote you. “Nearly all of these were in recent sales”
    >recent sales
Therefore, it’s still true that these games have NOT been in “recent sales”, because there have been a lot of sales in between them up until now. So your definition of “recent sales” are all the dozens of sales that have been going on for the past couple of months? You can’t blame me because you phrased your sentence differently from your thoughts.

I don’t think you know what “recent” means- “having happened, begun, or been done not long ago; belonging to a past period comparatively close to the present”.

The number of sales inbetween has no bearing on that- it’s refers to time

    AlucardTepes_DE 4 March, 2015 @ 2:05 pm

Anyway just pay attention to games that drop the price drastic after almost 2 years. Most of them come out in Plus.

I just don’t understand how in the last 2 sales I bought games fro 15€ and this last Sale, was the same game, but for 20€ in sale… I guess some-things aren’t meant to be understood at all.

Max500600_NL 3 March, 2015 @ 7:35 pm   7

Sure took you guys a while but I think we can be statisfied as Plus subscribers this month. Can you maybe shine a tiny light on why the announcement got delayed? Just curious.

Absolute trash from a PS3 POV. You should be embarrassed.

    ame2025 3 March, 2015 @ 7:42 pm

Ikr this is the first month in some time its PS3 getting the worst games xD ps4 is actually quite decent

    Sadodee 3 March, 2015 @ 7:44 pm

Time to move on. You’re doing yourself a favor by getting a PS4, I can guarantee you.

Sadodee if u buy me one i will take it

    Morltha 3 March, 2015 @ 11:33 pm

How is Sherlock Holmes trash? From what I’ve seen, it’s not too dissimilar to L.A. Noire

remember back before the PS4 launched.. PS3’s IGC included NFS Most Wanted, DmC, Spec Ops, XCOM, Far Cry 3, Dragon’s Dogma, Puppeteer, Assassins Creed 3, Saints Row 3 etc. AAA’s that were within a year of release, it was amazing, but those days are gone. I have both PS3 and PS4, but I’ve lowered my expectations to justify the degradation of the IGC.

igotinfectified 3 March, 2015 @ 7:36 pm   9

Great lineup! Papa & Yo: played it on PC, great experience! OlliOlli2: been pretty hyped for this one! Valiant Hearts: been holding off of buying it because I thought it might come to PS+, gg! The rest are quite interesting aswell. Good job on this one, Sony!

jamesbuc 3 March, 2015 @ 7:36 pm   10

Such a shame that both Valiant Hears AND Oddworld are not crossplay given both are on Ps3 also (Valiant Hearts on right now and Oddworld coming soon this month). Still a nice selection

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm

If you use the app on your phone to “buy” odd world, it’ll appear in your download list. Provided it’s cross buy when released on the ps3 you should be able to grab it on release.

xampage 3 March, 2015 @ 7:36 pm   11

Why is Dishonored in the link :(.

Oddworld and both vita games for me.
Okay month!

Noam_1L 3 March, 2015 @ 7:36 pm   12

apologize not accepted sony
try harder
your not doing good

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 7:57 pm

They didn’t apologise, so you can’t reject anything. Plus you don’t have a leg to stand on. The announcement was late, but the games themselves were on time. Why don’t you keep quiet and take your seat at the kids table, junior.

NorthernFusion 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   13

Great selection, worth it for OlliOlli 2 alone, I’d say.

shengaorend 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   14

4 of 6 game names i never heard of

    johnnycide 3 March, 2015 @ 7:45 pm

Which is all the more reason to try them and be pleasantly surprised. Counterspy comes across like a bond movie directed by Pixar.

    TgKADawn 3 March, 2015 @ 8:40 pm

    They are all great 😀

Yay, that was a long wait. Not a bad selection, really glad i own zero for once. Cheers Sony, pitty it was spoiled by the lack of information regarding the delay. Never mind though, no harm done i suppose.

ame2025 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   16

This line up isn’t the worst. Sure they could have explained the delay but I am happy with olliolli 2 and oddworld 😀

mnmn1PLUS 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   17

Great update! Why do people complain about everything. If it’s not the content it’s the announcement was too late. Wow people. They don’t even need to announce it. You can just wait till the day and open up the store to check yourself. Much more exciting stuff.

ThreeWallzz 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   18

4 PS4 games?Damn

Already got Valiant Hearts and Oddwolrd. Amazing month

LordBeloved 3 March, 2015 @ 7:37 pm   20

Definitely not worth all the hype because of the secrecy…

My only hope for this month is Counterspy.

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:23 am

You really should give ‘Valiant Hearts’ a go if you haven’t already.

X_Blood_Curse_X 3 March, 2015 @ 7:38 pm   21

Any chance of Vita owners getting an actual Vita game? Instead of some cross-buy after-thought to pad out the PS4 library?

No Helldivers, no La Mulana Ex. I’m amazed THIS is what has taken so long, genuinely let down.

    X_Blood_Curse_X 3 March, 2015 @ 8:03 pm

Seriously is the Vita just gonna get cross-buy games & games like The Hungry Horde, Metrico & Woah Dave from now on? Stop using the Vita as a dumping ground.

As far as I’m concerned you guys should have coughed up some money for La Mulana, because as far as Vita games go I dont know what you’re doing with all the money you make from PS+

    CleverTwigboy 3 March, 2015 @ 8:34 pm

Clearly it’s a plot to drive Vita owners into despair! Upupupupu! ʕ´•㉨•`ʔ
Graduate to get better Vita PS+ games? That’s a new low, even for that bear :v

    left4bread3 3 March, 2015 @ 9:05 pm

    Hope always beats despair! ^3^

So what happened to Dishonored? 😉

    KaneTheGoth 3 March, 2015 @ 9:34 pm

I’m guessing territory issues. They’ve cited that as the reason it’s not been on Plus before.

Timpezu 3 March, 2015 @ 7:38 pm   23

Ugh those ps4 games…booring

Really a shame that games are being devalued so much.

Games would retain their value much more in a world without PlayStation Plus.

Nice selection of games by the way.

But really, the game devaluation is a real issue. Now on any platform you can’t make a purchase without having the game drop or free on PS+ in a price and lose its perceived value and the price some people paid for it.

Except maybe on Nintendo platfroms. But I have no interest in those. And while games retain their value there, the initial price is often too high for me imo.

    Alphaembryo 3 March, 2015 @ 7:47 pm

games have value when one plays them…

You are weird Cryske. Another whine how Plus devalues games. Followed by a whine that the only place of your knowledge without such devalued games, is actually too expensive for your taste.

We should probably be grateful that you didn’t discover how cheap games can be on the PC. As in the Humble Bundles, for example.
Oh and in case that you didn’t know yet: Games on iOS and Android tend to cost cents, while the same games might cost >15€ on Playstation.

So please, stop complaining and just act like a mature customer.

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:28 am

They are not free on PS Plus. People have mentioned this numerous times on the blog, and I don’t want to get into it now.

Some users have also made numerous requests for PS Plus games to be made available for purchase. SCEE have refused to do this.

dark_angel69 3 March, 2015 @ 7:38 pm   25

Nice list. Not quite the best but at least that’s a full list I wouldn’t mind playing. Out of all them games, Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is the one I’m looking forward to playing the most.

TheShiftayOne 3 March, 2015 @ 7:38 pm   26

Better late than never, I guess. A solid list, shame I already own four of them. Still, looking forward to OlliOlli 2 and then I can wait until next month.

I absolutely adored Valiant Hearts, warmly recommended to anyone who has not played it yet. Rest also seems pretty solid, good month to have PS+!

Grimmy11 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm   28

So Dishonored was the problem, since it’s still in the link. Wonder what happened, would have thought these deals would be signed well in advance

TheWeeSteev 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm   29

Fantastic update!

I am very upset. How can i trust in a company that cant follow the rules imposed by them.
u said the info was going to come the last Wendsday of the month! This is the second time u fail.
Im a ps3 user and only ps3 so im payng just for this service that it is becoming worst and worst day by day.

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 7:59 pm

Ok, best you cancel your sub then. Goodbye we’ll miss you. Off you go.

    Morltha 3 March, 2015 @ 11:42 pm

TBH, you have to expect the PS+ for PS3 to get worse as time goes on. PS3 users are no longer a priority. Want a better deal? Buy a PS4! That’s the message Sony are sending

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:34 am

@ElDonn: Unfortunately the best days of PS Plus are well behind us now.

How long have you been a subscriber? Have you cleared your backlog? I know that even when I don’t have anything of interest, I still have plenty of past plus games to dig into.

Either way, you can’t win with PS Plus. I have a PS3, I got a PS4 last December and the only game that I found worthwhile was ‘Infamous first light’. Every other PS4 plus game has been pretty ‘meh’.

juicyluce9 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm   31

amazing. second great month in a row

DJROE95 3 March, 2015 @ 7:39 pm   32

Great list of games this month for me personally, only let down slightly by the lack of communication on Sony’s end, but i’ll get over that by playing Sherlock Holmes 😀
Enjoy your games everyone!

halfaworldaway 3 March, 2015 @ 7:40 pm   33

Whooooooooooooooooooooosh

HentayHinata 3 March, 2015 @ 7:40 pm   34

Why Sherlock Holmes or Thief for PS4 not for PS3 next time?
We want KNACK or Killzone! We want only one game instead of two indiegames.
Xbox won this month with Rayman LEGENDS.

I disagree and would rate Valiant Hearts as a better game than Knack or Killzone. If you want Knack or Killzone so bad, you can find a physical copy quite cheap.

So please don’t speak for “us”, thank you.

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 8:00 pm

No one wants Knack, so shut up.

    Golovanov-UK 3 March, 2015 @ 8:06 pm

You will never see Knack in Plus, because Sony applied 70+ Metacritic score for IGC, and Knack rating is 54.
Although, Sony can cheat and offer new unranked games (indie, mostly), and you receive such weak games as Secret Ponchos, for example.

    DuquesneWhistle 3 March, 2015 @ 8:12 pm

I think I missed the part where you explain why you consider Ubisoft an indie publisher.

    misi2mezei 3 March, 2015 @ 8:42 pm

    No, we DON’T…

    Hilaveli 4 March, 2015 @ 8:35 am

I like ‘Knack’. Got it for $10 last week XD

Pane1102 3 March, 2015 @ 7:40 pm   35

i would say no ps+
see u next month
k thx bye

stathmos 3 March, 2015 @ 7:40 pm   36

Hurrah for the PS3 games and Counterspy (I already have Valiant Hearts) !!!

please chris get out with the green light and close from outside this is awfull.
THX FOR THE APOLOGIES BY THE WAY

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 8:00 pm

Didn’t even remotely make sense, but thanks for trying.

Ants_Pai 3 March, 2015 @ 7:41 pm   38

Why does the url say Dishonored? That would be much better than sherlock tbh

Shankelstoff 3 March, 2015 @ 7:41 pm   39

Great list!
It more than makes up for the delay imo 🙂 <3

Somapix 3 March, 2015 @ 7:41 pm   40

Well, I don’t have any of these games at least. Interested in Valiant Hearts, I was debating buying that recently so that’s nice. Not a hugely exciting line-up though, was sort of expecting a little more given the delay in revealing them, or maybe a peek into what’s coming up in the next few months like was done in November.

system11 3 March, 2015 @ 7:41 pm   41

A good selection but I already own most of these, yet again.

Sherlock is great, I’d recommend people at least give it a try. First person mode is greatly superior in that by the way, third feels very clunky.

artdias90_ 3 March, 2015 @ 7:42 pm   42

Why do I even keep hoping that a real new generation game will come

    fps_d0minat0r 3 March, 2015 @ 8:11 pm

Because thats the only reason people were ok with PS+ being forced on PS4.
We thought the games would improve if there were more of us paying.

    Helrain 4 March, 2015 @ 12:07 am

Thief last month, Sherlock this month. Both on PS3, both would have been great for PS4. Meanwhile, games with gold got their first AAA game this month for xbone.
I remember a time when PS Plus was awesome!

    DaveLeeB 4 March, 2015 @ 8:21 am

    @Helrain: I know. March 3rd 2015, great isn’t it!

Bjarno86 3 March, 2015 @ 7:42 pm   43

It says Dishonored in the URL. I guess we know which deal went south. 🙂

    warensembler83 3 March, 2015 @ 10:15 pm

Thankfully. I got Dishonored for the 360 some time ago and it was pretty boring.

    DarkArchoNx66 4 March, 2015 @ 5:11 am

Seriously??Dishonored is an incredible game, a game I had a blast playing on my way for the platinum. I am still relieved it’s not coming to plus since this is my last month but it is a great nonetheless.

Btw I bought dishonored at the first months after it came out on the January sale for the less than 30 euros(don’t remember exactly), just a month before I subscribed to plus for the first time. And I never regretted it.

Nevskinho 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   44

Decent month! Particurlarly happy for Sherlock Holmes : Crimes & Punishments
I wonder by what Dishonored was replaced though!

Why do publishers want us to play the graphic whise lesser version of their game, first Thief and now Sherlock. I still have my PS3 and will play these games and will never buy them on PS4 because I have played them.

    Nevskinho 3 March, 2015 @ 7:53 pm

I agree. I’m happy that we got both (especially Sherlock Holmes) but I’d rather have got them on PS4.

    counterUAVbaby 3 March, 2015 @ 10:08 pm

I prefer more people to play these games, so Ps3 is a wiser choice.

DJOates 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   46

A shame about the usual PR situation – no explanation, apology for the delay or even acknowledgment of the fact that things didn’t go to plan this month. No dates mentioned above either, so I hope we’ll get these tomorrow as usual, and that hasn’t been put back as well.

However, the mix of games is pretty good this month. Valiant Hearts and CounterSpy for me – glad I didn’t pick these up on release now.

Games are already free in the US Store so they will be available tomorrow for the EU

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 8:09 pm

Erm, it quite clearly says the games are entering Plus in the 4th. So there’s been no delay in anything other than the announcement. The phrase “No harm, no foul” should come to mind, but no. Poor babies.

    misi2mezei 3 March, 2015 @ 8:45 pm

What delay? We will get the games as scheduled. Doesn’t really matter when they announce them, you won’t get them earlier…

    adumr82 3 March, 2015 @ 8:51 pm

Someone has their pompous fanboy hat on this week don’t they?

    DieFliedermouse 3 March, 2015 @ 8:57 pm

What can I say, it fits so well. It’s proper pimp.

Sith_Lord 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   47

Oddworld, Papo and Yo and Valiant Hearts for me! Worth the wait.

CleverTwigboy 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   48

One of these things is not like the others~ one of those things just doesn’t belooooong~ Can you tell me which thing is not like the others, before I finish this so-

It’s dishonored because it’s not actually on the list. :/

DuquesneWhistle 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   49

Great games. Sadly I already own Valiant, Oddworld and CounterSpy, all terrific games.

Sherlock Holmes was on my wishlist though, I would have liked it more on PS4 but that’s ok.

I hope we’ll get PS+ additional discounts tomorrow, I’m not much of an online gamer and I usually buy all games I’m interested in. So ps+ discounts are the main reason I’m a ps+ subscriber.

Bacon_Crispies 3 March, 2015 @ 7:43 pm   50

Shame I already have Valiant Hearts and Papa & Yo, the rest look ok, i’ll give them a go but I hope April turns out better
