Snake? What’s wrong!? Snake!? Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!?

FlywhiteGuy666 04 March, 2015 @ 17:41

Snakuh san! Whahaha!

smile_taisou 04 March, 2015 @ 14:06

Hungry for some Snake?

RodrigoSharingan 04 March, 2015 @ 14:13

It looks awesome but with all that content and things this might be really pricey. I already hate giving 60-69€ for a game, so i dont see myself giving like 90-100+ for this. Sorry but i pass, my hobbie is getting really expensive. :S

No digital Special/Collector’s edition?!

There will probably be one with the same digital contents.

I really want that collector’s edition… Then again I want the game on Steam for the best experience… Oh god, decisions, decisions :/

Or both I suppose. Between this, The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4 and a bunch of indies, RIP wallet :(

You will probably buy it on Steam later down the line for less than €7 like so many other people and then never get around to playing it like the majority of people with Steam accounts too. I know because I will most likely be doing that too ^_^

Metal Gear series is one of those game series I really want to support. It’s not too much for me but I’ll probably pick this game at launch for both platforms.

AgentLiveWire 04 March, 2015 @ 14:35

The Collector’s Edition will be available where in the UK?

GAME exclusive – I pre-ordered mine today :o can’t wait!!

yashhitman127 07 March, 2015 @ 16:27

yeah me to. where cane you buy it ?

I’ve had that box art as wallpaper since it was first released. I’m glad they chose it instead of the one with Snake and Ocelot.

Really want to get my hands on the Collectors Edition. Really pumped now. Bring on September.

my most anticipated game.. i’ll get the collector’s edition, why not spend an extra 30-40 bucks so u can have cool stuff and extra’s that no other people will have.

piper74 “Cool stuff and extra’s that no other people will have” No, nobody but the thousands of people that bought the same collectors edition.

Of all the things you could make a statue of in MGS and they went with the hand lol

Awful, AWFUL cover art. We in EU have always had Shinkawa art on the box cover for console MGS-games. No Shinkawa, no buy. That easy. Have reversible cover art and we might talk.

DieFliedermouse 04 March, 2015 @ 15:16

I wouldn’t call it awful, per se, but I do miss the Shinkawa art that was last seen with MGS4. I think the worst cover art in MGS history was the alt. yellow cover for Peace Walker on the PSP. It was just wretched!

I agree with this too. And its quite shocking that the US had a reversible sleeve for Ground Zeroes, you know the region that ALWAYS got horrible rendered art for their MGS covers (and other games like ICO). If there is no Shinkawa art, I will make my own but still shame on you Konami for not giving the fans in EU this.

MarleyFranco 04 March, 2015 @ 19:36

Shinkawa is currently working on his illustrations for MGSV. You will see his artwork – why reveal it now? Ruins the surprise and excitement. What we see is probably just the North American box. Don’t worry.

tiagojsagarcia 04 March, 2015 @ 15:03

So, where can I pre order the collector’s edition?

So getting this Collector’s Edition. Got the MGS 4 PAL one back in 2008. Not a bad price too.

Oh and “Kept you waiting huh? Oh what’s that? IGN ruined the announcement yesterday? Colonel, what’s a useless American gaming “journalist” website doing here in my MGS announcements?”

richrich1991 04 March, 2015 @ 15:11

ill give the credit though this will defo come in handy XD lol btw can’t wait for the return of MG online wich was sadly missed from MGS4 so im very proud with this ;) and to end on a good note snake? Snaaake snaaaaaaaake! dom dom dommm.

DieFliedermouse 04 March, 2015 @ 15:19

I want that MAP!!!

Also what is the correct price? The official EU Konami website says that it is 99.99 Euros at the bottom

“METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN including METAL GEAR ONLINE, will retail with an SRP of €69.99/£59.99 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and €59.99/£49.99 for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. SRP of “Collector’s Edition” will be €99.99 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system”

I can’t wait to see if Gamestop Ireland charge €75 instead of €70 just because they feel like it and don’t have any direct competition anymore :(

Their only good point is if you pre order a game from the website and choose express shipping(they seem to be giving free shipping lately for both standard and express)you usually get it the day before release!

Hope we can pre order the collectors edition in the netherlands have no idea where to do that!

StevenJamesHyde 04 March, 2015 @ 15:38

Fingers crossed for an steelbook. That seems to be where I buy most of my games these days…

Is Ground Zeroes included on The Phantom Pain, or not?

Zend_Message 04 March, 2015 @ 15:56

Nope, as it shouldn’t be.

Why shouldn’t it be? I would personally rather avoid having to buy the interductory demo to get context for the main game if I could.

you forgot one, but very, VERY important thing. WHERE can we pre-order the Collector’s Edition.

Dammit and its only at game too meaning I can’t buy it off Amazon UK :(
GAME have an atrocious website that lets you buy items and only when it comes to the part where they have to ship it, do they THEN tell you that they won’t ship it to Ireland. Its quite the mess.

candy-coloured 04 March, 2015 @ 18:16

Is there a version with all of the DLC, but without all the plastic crap?

candy-coloured 04 March, 2015 @ 18:17

Is there a version with all of the DLC but without the plastic rubbish?

RustyTachikoma 04 March, 2015 @ 18:36

No Yoji Shinkawa artwork anywhere? You can keep you CE… :P

When can we pre-order this?!

September couldn’t come sooner! (Well, June first for Batman: Arkham Knight!)

hail to the boss!

Strangeheaven 05 March, 2015 @ 11:07

The Collectors Edition is £99.00 in UK and $99.00 in US. Again the UK is being ripped off again. They should be charging £75.00.

Or charge the Americans $150.00, it’s only right.

I agree with you there, were always getting rip off by over charging came company’s, we pay far more than the USA or anyother country for our games, so we should be paying less, as $99 dollars is about fifty quid in our money.

Archangel-91- 05 March, 2015 @ 15:15

Definitely getting the collectors edition if mgsv: ground zeros is anything to go by then the phantom pain will be amazing all a board the hype train. :)

There’s no PS3 Collector’s edition? that makes me a Sad Panda :'(

$99 does not equal £99

الشريط عجيب

I’m definitely getting The collectors edition. … but I would have preferred a statue of snake or quiet.. not a damn bionic hand..

the first part of this two part game was short, I thought it would’ve been a bit longer with more missions, I don’t think KONAMI gave us value for money with this first part of the game, as they should have game more content, as once you saved the people from a little prison camp, and, got them to a chopper, then you got onto it you were finished “GAME OVER” :(

I can’t wait !!

I lucked out and pre ordered my copy from amazon, I can’t wait! 2015 has been a great year. as far as collector’s edition is concerned.

liquidkingtastik 17 March, 2015 @ 17:39

The only reason i bought a ps4 was to play MGS 5
as always a Solid snake fan to the fullest.
But now with the phantom Pain coming this year
I must say. There is no way im playing this.
I know i know. He is not really a protagonist but an Antagonist when the whole story is considered. BUT THIS TIME HOMEBOY SNAKE HAS A HORN. Really Hodeo? A horn? Ok so we all can guess who snake Really right? Hell no hideo.
Even his eyes from Ground Zeros to the phantom Pain are different now. Nope Nope, im done.
PS….. thanks for increasing my faith by readying me to deny the soon coming beast.

Metal gear solid
Changed my life… Seriously
Cold as ice

i dont c any exclusives since everything will show up on psn eventually so buying on first day doesnt really make you a noticable fan
