PlayStation Store charts, April: Mortal Kombat X scores a KO win

Shovel Knight, Titan Souls, Assassin's Creed Chronicles also make their debuts

Interesting to see Shovel Knight so low down on the list for Vita. Pricing issues perhaps? I’m sure sales will push it up over the next few months (a la Sword Art), excellent game.

Also that jump for Crash Bandicoot 3, did I miss a sale?? lol

Crash 3 has been top for ages.

It was previously 9 though :S

I am not proud to be a hater but not seeing any COD game on the PS4 chart makes me think we are going places this gen :)

Well, honestly it says more on the kind of clientele playstation is attracting as a company these days. An older, wiser and mature community has emerged and taken this console into their hearts. Glad to be part of it!

That’s overly optimistic of you. There are still a lot of people complaining about indies and creative new titles, and I think they will always be there. That CoD isn’t up there is probably more due to the fact that the digital game is pretty pricey (which is why you see BF4 up there instead, due to it’s sales) and the game has been out for a while. As soon as Blops 3 hits stores, be prepared to see it dominate for a while :)

Really disappointing to see Costume Quest 2 miss out on the top 20, those QA holdups must have hit demand hard

Hi 2 things,

1: First sorry to be a stickler but can we get back our classics sorting please? :( I miss my PS2 games on the store, also the PS1 games. PLatform sorting of PS1/2 would be optimal :)

2: Anyone know if Capcom said anything about Tron Bonne here in Europe? Because I kinda scratched that to an early death ages ago :(

Best Regards

Re: Tron Bonne, they’ve only given the vague response “Currently the game is only available for North America.”

Thanks :)

Crash, Crash, Crash, Crash. Give Crash Bandicoot to Sony or start making a game Activision.

No. Activision have already ruined him by giving him tattoos ang giving him the ability to speak words.

If you are talking about crash of the titans max that was an amazing game mind over mutant was awful.

I mean, MKX is a great game, excellent fun when two players are fighting it out on the couch. Pro tip: if you let your girlfriend win, she’ll make brownies for you AND offer you sexy times right after. Trust me, I’m a gamer.

What’s a girlfriend?

Yes, I am happy to see Demon’s Souls flying high still. Now please ask From Software to remaster it for PS4, so we can get it to the top of the charts there as well :-)

Fifa 15 topping the Vita charts is pretty depressing. Those games are shovelware on Vita. Interesting that Shovel Knight only charted on Vita. Sure it’s cross-buy, but I take it this means more people were buying/playing it on Vita? Not the prodigal son of gaming it’s often made out to be, but a decent game all the same.

I continue to be astonished by the fact most of PS4’s digital top sellers are the AAA releases. Surely people would rather buy these games physically, where they’re cheaper and not eating up 50GB of space on your hard drive?

Classics never seem to change. Probably because we’ve not seen any significant PS1 classics released for years. I mean there was Suikoden 1 & 2, but still. On a similar note, more PSP and PS2 classics would be appreciated. I still can’t believe Battlefront 2 is available as a PS2 classic, but the PSP version is… that’s insane.
