All the PlayStation news from E3 2015

From The Last Guardian to Shenmue III, here's everything you need to know

We just wrapped the E3 2015 PlayStation press conference where I hope all of you saw how PlayStation 4 is redefining what we play, how we play, and who it is that’s playing games today.

At PlayStation we believe that gamers come first; that developers are the heart and soul of the industry; that innovation, intelligence, and emotion are central to games… which themselves are driving the cultural zeitgeist.

All of the games we unveiled today speak to an historic evolution of gaming, one that’s inspiring the entire community of gamers, developers, creators and engineers. Gaming today offers unprecedented action and interactivity but it also means beautiful stories and emotional narratives.

I can’t think of another game more fitting of this new era than The Last Guardian, whose beauty and rich narrative was evident in just a few minutes of gameplay footage. PlayStation fans have been waiting a long time for The Last Guardian, and I was personally proud to introduce the title, coming to PS4 in 2016.

TLG LEAD

We kicked off the event with one story-driven experience and closed the show with one of the most storied franchises on PlayStation, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. A live demo with an epic car chase showcased Naughty Dog‘s uncanny ability to deliver action-packed scenes that rival any summer blockbuster.

And in between The Last Guardian and Uncharted, we showed why PlayStation’s investment in our own development studios reflects our unwavering commitment to gamers. The ingenious minds at Media Molecule unveiled Dreams, a space where you can go to explore and play the dreams of others and create and share your own. This open-ended adventure – where players surf an ever-evolving collage of games, film, animation, music, and whatever we all imagine – is a continuation of the studio’s work in creative gaming.

Guerilla GamesHorizon: Zero Dawn – the studio’s first foray outside of the shooter genre – delivers an action RPG that invites players to embark on a journey in a lush, post-apocalyptic open world. The team at Guerilla has also been keeping busy with RIGS Mechanized Combat League, a showpiece launch title for Project Morpheus virtual reality on PS4. This futuristic arena shooter is one of nearly 20 titles and experiences for Project Morpheus that E3 attendees can check out this week.

Aiming_at_Thunderjaw

As we head toward the launch of VR on PS4 next year, we remain in awe of the creativity we’re seeing from developers, who are wielding the technology inside Morpheus to transport you into new worlds that wrap your senses in you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it 360-degree environments.

PS4 also is the best place to play because of the decades-long partnerships with the industry’s best developers and publishers. Today we unveiled Destiny: The Taken King, which will offer exclusive content on PlayStation including a co-op Strike, new multiplayer map, and new gear.

Destiny The Taken King, 04

We’re also working with Activision to make PlayStation the new home of Call of Duty. For the first time ever on our E3 stage, we were honoured to debut Call of Duty: Black Ops III, the deepest and most engaging installment in the world’s biggest franchise. Starting with Black Ops III, PlayStation gamers will be the first to play all map packs, and we’re excited for PS4 owners to be the first to play the upcoming multiplayer beta.

Looking out at the broader entertainment landscape this year, there’s nothing else bigger than Star Wars. And I’m pleased to say that PlayStation will be the definitive console destination for Star Wars fans. From our Star Wars Play Set starter pack for Disney Infinity 3.0 and exclusive Boba Fett figure, to the iconic battles in EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront, we understand Star Wars holds a special place in the hearts of PlayStation fans.

Listening to fan requests is our north star at PlayStation. That’s why we used our E3 stage to celebrate the Kickstarter to fund Shenmue III on PS4 and PC and to announce Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming to first to PS4. It’s also why tonight you’ll be able to access the PS4 media player app to enjoy personal videos, music (also playable as BGM), and photos (with support for DLNA sharing).

From the rich experiences on PlayStation Network to the boundless creativity in PS4 games to virtual reality with Project Morpheus, we’re seeing a level of innovation unlike anything before in the 20 years of the PlayStation brand. For all of us at PlayStation, it’s awesome, it’s energising, and it’s all thanks to your passion as gamers.

Some amazing announcements there, personally i’m excited for The Last Guardian, Hitman and Mirrors Edge so far. But where were the Vita announcements?!

Vita is dead get over it.

@residentSteve i think you’re the one that needs to get over it. i’ve seen you post that same comment about 4 times now.

That many times hey, I’m just pointing out that vita is no longer sonys concern.

mmm, At least they could have poured one out but noooo.

Thought you had some great announcements, I was surprised at how many of them were surprises too! Final Fantasy VII remake, Firewatch and Horizon: Zero Dawn were my personal highlights, would love to get a release date for No Man’s Sky though. My only concern is VR, seems very difficult to sell VR when people can’t actually see it for themselves, any chance of a world wide demo pod rollout or lots of accessible VR roadshows prior to launch?

3.1

You know what will stop me from buying Morpheus and it’s nothing to do with not being able to try it.

No, it’s Sony and their terrible track record. Playstation Move? barely supported. Playstation Camera(s), same story. Playstation Vita and it’s home based counterpart, no good AAA games since release (couldn’t give two hoots about JRPG’s before anyone says it, a system needs a lot more than those and some indie games to be considered well supported in my book) and Sony all but admitting it’s dead.

Honestly it’s as if someone at Sony thinks, hey that’s a good idea lets do it, then realises they have no idea what to do with the thing once they have wasted their money on making it.

Just before anyone thinks I’m mindlessly having a go at Sony bashing. I have bought and still have all of those products and more that gather dust. I’m wasting no more of my money on Sony’s stupid accessory ideas, I’ll stick to the vanilla PS4 thank you.

3.2

PlayStation Move was ahead of its time. Now that it can be partnered with Morpheus, it can really shine.

VR is the future of gaming. We have Morpheus, Oculus and Valve are working on VIVE.

Stonesthrow 16 June, 2015 @ 16:10
3.3

I’m glad they didn’t spend too much time on the Morpheus subject. I don’t see this getting off the ground properly for atleast a few more years, and even then only if it’s popular enough to get through that development phase. It’s going to need a lot of software support, which Move didn’t get (not even Vita is at this point), it’s going to have to become a lot smaller and lighter for people to casually enjoy having it on their head, the list goes on. Too soon, too early in its development phase, I don’t see this getting big anytime soon, if ever. If it does, it may have some potential. But at this point it still feels too soon for me.

Best announcements were a game that’s been MIA for years and a remake of final fantasy. I’m not impressed. Not after Microsoft’s backwards compatibility announcement. Sony, you need to pull your finger out coz you lost.

4.1

I think it’s funny that the “winning” feature for xbox is the ability to play old 360 games, must suck to own an xbone. PS has PlayStation Now if you really want to play old gen games, I’d rather be playing current gen, and Sony is “winning” the current gen by a landslide.

4.2

They are winning the war but just lost a battle.

The biggest reason backwards compatibility is such a big thing is ps3 is the first gen digital was a thing. If support for those games isn’t brought forward then when the ps3 servers are turned off they are gone. How can we trust to buy digital now when evidence suggests Sony won’t support it going forward. I don’t care if its done via hardware or the cloud but I should still be able to play ducktales without having to rent it.

5

…you’ll be able to access the PS4 media player app to enjoy personal videos, music (also playable as BGM), and photos (with support for DLNA sharing).

any more info on this?

5.1

What do you need to know mate? I got the media player downloaded the other day, i run a NAS media server in my house on my home network and the PS4 picks it up flawlessly and quicker than my smart TV, the interface is very basic but so far ive tested it with lots of different audio formats and video formats including MKV etc, hope this helps! The PS4 has needed this for AGES!

johnnytravels 16 June, 2015 @ 07:34
6

But when is PS4 backwards compatibility coming?

6.1

Thats not coming as we have PS Now. But I’m very curious what PlayStation is going to do with PS Now, cuz Microsoft destroyed the whole PS Now idea.

6.2

i agree! I’d rather have full BC than pay for games i already own via PS Now, So yeah Micrisoft deserves some credit for what they are achieving!

6.3

Backwards compatibility is a huge move for Microsoft, especially compared to Sony’s lackluster (and pricey) PlayStation Now service :-/

Crash bandicoot?? :(

7.1

Don’t hold your breath for it.

It probably won’t ever come back. I remember that Naughty Dog told that they won’t do any cartoony looking game. They will focus on mature and realistic games only.

7.2

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE.

They could get a different company to do Crash Bandicoot ,the same as they did with uncharted

Bacwards compat? Use your old console… Sold it? Bet you got enough to buy maybe a couple of games and then you moan that you cant play all those old games and wish you could re buy them.i dont get it.
Shame vita is being overlooked as its the one thing microsoft dont have.is VR the direction sony want to force us towards.how much will it cost to buy a gimmick? Look at psmove or xbox connect sitting gathering dust
Shenmue could be good but having played the first two not sure its for todays crop of players
Too many FF games already out
No mans sky looks great
Horizon ZD looks interesting
Last guardian should be called At last guardian! Ico and collossus are true greats.

8.1

The fact is we shouldn’t have to use our old console, Microsoft have realised that and delivered a killer app. We can’t denounce that just because it wasn’t our camp the delivered it. Bottom line Sony is trying to charge us to play our old games via ps now (not even cheaply) and Microsoft is letting their customers play their old games free. There is no way to spin that into a positive for us nor negate what Xbox has done.

I like game announcements but that is all we got, and its hardly news that games are coming to game consoles. Ps4 has been standing still since it was announce. Microsoft messed up when was announced but had been evolving.

StevenJamesHyde 16 June, 2015 @ 08:33
8.2

With a bit of luck the Microsoft BC announcement will force Sony’s hand on PS Now pricing. I can’t see them developing anything new to allow ‘proper’ BC like MS are doing, but if you could stream the PS Now version of a PS3 game for free as long as the PS3 disc is in the drive/digital version is on your download history, I think that would appease a lot of people

8.3

I’d certainly be on board with that StevenJamesHyde but I wonder how easy that will be now as that won’t be how it was sold to the publishers who allow their games on the service.

The Last Guardian looks stunning. Feels very much as ICO so it can’t be bad.

Horizon… had a mixed feelings when I first saw it… but.. it seems like a nice game to play… Shangri-la

Good Hitman is never a bad thing.

Exclusive beta, exclusive content is always a bad thing. Unless a game isn’t real exclusive don’t divide players to those who will be able to play more and those who won’t. It’s not a good thing.

Street Fighter V. Exclusive to PC and PS4…

No Man Sky seems a bit… empty to me. There are lot of things… but I don’t see anything that would have impact on game. I mean so what if you can destroy planets… if there are countless of them in the game. Truth to be said…. I kinda feel that game should have some strategy elements. Like building your own towns and civilizations. Only than world will seem alive to me.

Btw. Alex Evans has really nice T-shirt. Anyone knows where does it come from?

Dreams… aye for sure it will take some time to sink in… but concept is interesting. It would ...

Btw. Alex Evans has really nice T-shirt. Anyone knows where does it come from?

Dreams… aye for sure it will take some time to sink in… but concept is interesting. It would be great if just like LBP it had elements of game creating. This way we would get really nice game making engine.

FireWatch… seems like a very nice game. It picked my interest for sure.

Destiny not needed on conference…. expansions and DLCs are not worthy of spotlight on such a grand event.

Adam Boyes and Shawn Layden are not best people

Assasin Creed Syndicate… well lost my intersest in series after AC2. Voicework seems a bit off… not natural… kinda forced.

World of Final Fantasy … meh…

Final Fantasy VII. That’s a big thing. As much as I would prefer a remake of VI a VII one isn’t bad. Not bad at all. I just hope that they won’t turn it to action RPG. Can’t wait to see scene when Aerith….. ya know what.

Devlover… meh

Shenmue is great news.

Batman… no words needed.

Morpheus… meh. It will be abandoned just like Move, Wonderbook, EyeToy, Vita… I would have to be mad to believe in SCE anymore.

PS Vue… meh 2x

Call of Duty… meh… well I’m sure that some people will be excited. It’s just it’s not for me.

Disney Infinity… wast of time.

Battlefront looks awesome.

And Uncharted… well nice.

All in all it was a good conference. I really have trouble to say which conference was better Microsoft or SONY’s. It didn’t have as big impact as Microsoft’s backward compability… but than again seleciton of games were much much better.

Cons: lack of Vita (i know it’s dead)

9.1

Anyway… for the next time… I think it would be better if you gave less time to people like Andrew Boyes, Shawn Laydan and Andrew House. I know they are important figures… but they can’t talk. They can’t interact with people.

Just look at Asad Qizilbash…. he was BY FAR the best speaker(?). His part wasn’t boring… nobody was forced to laugh at not funny jokes… he was energetic and quick.

I hope we will see and hear him more often.

Hitman was exciting. I have a sneaky feeling that the new will have more gore and pace in order to appeal to our spoiled for puching people in the face generation. And I honestly don’t mind. I can’t remember the last time I was hyped over playing as Agent 47.

The Last Guardian looks like a decent game, the sort of game where half the people playing it will require an open browser window with the walkthrough guide as home page. The graphics are ok, I get the sentimentalism behind it, but I am not sold yet.

Horizon is, feels and looks amazing. Guerilla is finally making the step into the big league. I am crossing my fingers for some RPG-esque elements to be involved, where you craft weapons and improve skills by hunting down the beasts.

Uncharted 4 promised us that the environment is more destructible and a bit more freedom, but I am not buying it. The whole appeal of those games was the linear action hero movie style progression. Maybe they’ll throw in a couple of different ways to ...

Maybe they’ll throw in a couple of different ways to finish some parts of the fights or chases, just to please the morons that are whining about it being linear.

Street Fighter V. Meh, that genre died 10 years ago. Unless they reinvent themselves, they just dug their own graves with this one.

No Man Sky. Gimme a break, nonsense. Will be just Minecraft in space, which is good for them. If you look at the amount of idiots wasting time in Minecraft, they’ll become millionaires.

FF VII. I’ll start trusting Square Enix when I see FF XV in action. Until then, FF XII, the last beauty on ps2, remains my favorite FF game of all time and all the stuff that came out on ps3 was an unplayable atrocity.

Theoretically speaking, in terms of battle for E3 supremacy, clearly Bethesda won this year. It was a beauty to behold and probably the greatest show I’ve seen in a while. Microsoft and Sony both came out flat and it’s fine, the fans are already pouring money into the consoles, they don’t need to try too hard.

It’s a shame that third party developers studios are keeping Vita alive while Sony is doing anything to bury it.

Call of duty this, Destiny that.. and no mention to Persona 5, Tales of Zestria or another niche title from a Japanese developer. Do you really think people care if they are the first to play the milked COD.

I thought the Xbox show was pretty good, backwards compatibility is great, some great looking games and I loved the idea behind the new controller…I hope Sony consider this, really liked the idea of changing sticks and buttons etc… The Hololens looked interesting and worked very well with Minecraft…but I’m not too sure how versatile it will be. It was a good show…

…but Sony knocked it out the park for me! The conference was great, opening with The Last Guardian, which has all the potential to be a masterpiece, was fantastic, and I was taken by so many games. Horizon looks amazing, a FFVII remake (it’s all a dream right?), Uncharted was thrilling…but MMs Dreams was sensational to me, and if handled properly this ‘game’/tool could be seriously huge…I cannot wait to get my hands on it!

So far E3 has been great, feels like we’re starting to get proper current gen games across the board now, great Bethesda conference too, Doom & Fallout…woah, and the likes of Ratchet, D Souls 3...

Alright. New and updatet wishlist. And with wishlist I mean I’ll buy all those games:
Fat Princess Adventures, The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Need for Speed, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and King’s Quest.

I’m also interested in Firewatch and Dreams.

Can we get the trailers and gameplay videos on the playstation store to download, I would love to watch high quality versions on my TV, and watch that last guardian gameplay every time I switch on my PS4

15

In terms of games, lots to be excited about. In terms of other stuff, not so sure.

PlayStation Vue: is going to take literally years to leave the US assuming it ever will. The TV market in Europe is so fragmented that those “licensing issues” that stop Sony owned content from appearing on Sony’s own network are going to throw up walls left and right and the reduced volume will necessitate a higher price to turn a proift.

Morpheus: is getting a lot of coverage, like Move controllers, 3D gaming and camera based games I suspect the support will be short lived. Sony seem incredibly reluctant to answer the question of whether Morpheus is more than a VR headset and also a personal head mounted display. If its the former, then its dead quite frankly, it won’t have the support of needs to be a viable product. If however, it works as a head mounted display and therefore can be used to play any game without tying up the TV, then it may find a use there.

Kickstarter: to be perfectly honest, I find the idea of the fifth largest games publisher in the world using KickStarter to be utterly despicable. And the idea that this somehow you listening to “fan feedback” has to be a joke. If you really listen, drop the “next gen tax” that only applies in the EU and return control of pricing and release dates to game creators. Let’s have a level playing field with the US and other consoles in this region and see what happens.

15.1

Which publisher is affiliated with Shenmue III? I don’t think it’s known. It isn’t SEGA, but SEGA let them use the IP under license. It isn’t SCE, they just revealed the KickStarter at their media briefing, but the development and funding/publishing isn’t affiliated with SCE, Adam Boyes clearly said it wasn’t their project [SCE’s project], but Suzuki’s project.

But yeah, there might be a publisher behind Shenmue III that’s just using the KickStarter to gauge interest. $2M is probably by far not enough to fund the whole game with AAA production values. The original Shenmue had a budget of $70 million, and adjusted for inflation that’s almost $100 million.

16

The Last Guardian on PS4? Or it’s better to wait for PS5?

SONY SMASHED IT! :P Soooooooo much better than the BORING PREDICTABLE MS show :D

The Last Guardian. Now go pick up your teeth, Microsoft. FF7 Remake made me change pants. Had hoped to see Kingdom Hearts III though, and probably being the only creature on the planet still dreaming about a sequel to the brilliant PS2 action platformer Maximo on PS2.

18.1

Won’t get excited about last guardian till its out. It’s release date is next year but when? I bet holidays. I preferred Bethesda’s approach with Fallout of announcing games for release due before the next e3.

19

PLEASE
MAKE
FINAL FANTASY 7 EXCLUSIVE TO PS4! DO NOT LET IT GO TO PC OR XBOX, SECURE IT AS EXCLUSIVE NOW!

BEST EXCLUSIVE IN HISTORY.

19.1

No. Sorry, if I enjoy a game, I want as many people to enjoy it with me.

I don’t really get your comment to be fair, the game is not going to be better if it’s exclusive.

19.2

Edit: I mean, I want as many people as people to enjoy it, regardless of platform.

And this is obviously what you want as a game creator too.

19.3

Decent media briefing, but:

– Is the new Everybody’s Golf PS4 still in development? (why not showcase it, if yes?)

– Is Gravity Rush 2 still in development? (please make both a PS Vita and PS4 version, would be appreciated a lot!)

– I wonder why you guys don’t promote Ratchet & Clank and Tearaway Unfolded, two highly interesting upcoming SCEWWS PS4 games at the conference, but you’ll promote Devolver Digital games etc at the conference (no hate to Devolver Digital by the way!)?

– Why not show more Morpheus information, sizzle reel, games, developers working on Morpheus games etc? I know you said there are ~20 Morpheus games on the show floor, but you could have highlighted it a bit more I think. If it’s going to launch in H1 2016, E3 2015 will be the only E3 show before Morpheus will have launched. I’m personally very interested in VR, so I would have liked to see more.

I know SCE is mostly in the business of proprietary PlayStation hardware, but I think PC compatibility would add a lot of value to Morpheus for consumers. I’m not saying you have to make PC games, but just official drivers / API for independent developers to make use of Morpheus on PC.

– Will Morpheus work as a ‘personal movie screen’ HMD for video playback?

– Sorry, but platform-exclusive stuff in multiplatform games always irks me. We are not hypocrites (well, me at least :P). Street Fighter V being exclusive to PC and PS4 is just as [DELETED[ for consumers as Rise of the Tomb Raider being (timed) exclusive to XB1. Goes for all the timed DLC exclusive as well. Please, compete on first-party games, rather than competing by taking away content from multiplatform games in the competitor’s platform version..

Anyway, decent show.

– I’m loving the look and premise of Horizon from Guerilla
– Dreams looks really intriguing.
– The Last Guardian looks intriguing. Uncharted 4 looks really nice, big step-up from the somewhat underwhelming Uncharted 3.
– RIGS for Morpheus from Guerilla Cambridge looks fun, but it was a mediocre trailer. The trailer didn’t seem to do the game justice.
– Ratchet & Clank (trailer/gameplay from past week) looks amazing!

I was hoping Sony would give a surprise to Yu Suzuki on stage to tell him that they were funding Shenmue 3 and wouldn’t be any need to seek support on Kickstarter. How foolish of me to think that… So all support Yu got from Sony was to advertise his kickstarter campaign in exchange the game is developed for PS4? Bravo, Sony. No more comments on this subject…

And FFVII Remake has been finally announced. Never thought I’d cry watching an E3 conference but which FFVII fan could hold the tears when that music we know so well started playing? This is what I call “for the players”!!

21

You spent time in your conference talking about a damned crowd funding campaign: a game you won’t even fund yourself, and yet zero time, literally ZERO time for the Vita, a product you made. Absolutely shameful. I hope you never get confused as to why the system is in such an awful state, you don’t even bloody well try.

Impressions:

– Asad is a very charismatic person who should speak more often. He’s to the point and keeps your attention, that’s what all true speakers should strive for.
– Less dumb chatter/guests who overstay their welcome, major improvement.
– The Last Guardian = the perfect start for a conference.
– Horizon looks terrific, good to see them taking a break from Killzone.
– No Man’s Sky is ambitious, but there needs to be enough content to justify going from planet to planet.
– Firewatch, whatever. Could have been in an indie reel, especially considering the other killer titles on stage. I like indies but Firewatch didn’t offer anything mindblowing.
– Dreams is very intriguing, loved it.
– Hitman; still have to finish Absolution some day.
– FF7 Remake I’d definitely buy, even though I never went too in-depth with the Materia in the original game. Maybe they’ll do a complete overhaul, who knows.
– Shenmue 3. Wish I had a credit card so I could back it, but it’s already funded anyway...

– FF7 Remake I’d definitely buy, even though I never went too in-depth with the Materia in the original game. Maybe they’ll do a complete overhaul, who knows.
– Shenmue 3. Wish I had a credit card so I could back it, but it’s already funded anyway. Will buy it day 1.
– Blops/Star Wars/Destiny/Creed/Batman; whatever.

Not many Vita games, but I feel this conference was just pure for megatons, because they didn’t even reveal the Ratchet Remake here (even though we knew it was coming), they did it before E3 started. There are still many games coming to the Vita that I’m looking forward to (GALAK-Z WHERE ARE YOU) and there are still many left that I have yet to play even.

Even though I didn’t care about some games/US services, the conference was well paced for the most part. Definitely their best one in years, it will be hard to top themselves. Sony was basically reviving the dead, haha.

I had relatively low expectations for this E3 but it turned out way better than expected. Was a nice surprise we’re getting Fallout 4 this year. Microsoft is finally putting out positive influences in the business by announcing true backwards compatibility (let’s hope Sony follows tale on this too like they did with their ‘charge for online’ idea, bc is still one of the best selling points I can think of for a console). And Sony FINALLY showed Last Guardian, not to mention a FF7 remake! Horizon blew me away at first too, reminding me of LOTR in terms of environments, then I got a little surprised and maybe even disappointed to see it was third person, but I’m sure it’ll be awesome either way. Hitman was a nice surprise too, good to hear it’s going back to some of its sandbox origins. Not sure what Shenmue has in common with Sony, but good to see they’re looking out for gamers in general and putting the word out there. Dreams looked really nice too, love the artwork and it looks like it might be more cinematic than LBP, not to mention easier and more dynamic to create cinematics for. Lastly, contrary to my beliefs, Uncharted 4 kind of disappointed me to be honest.. The whole driving sequence felt a bit underwhelming to me and left out a bit of the cinematic pacing this series has become known for. Also still can’t get over the fact the characters look so different, Sully looks nothing like his old self. On the other hand, good to see it still feels and controls like the Uncharted I know and love. In any case, my low expectations have been crushed by the couple of hard hitters (Last guardian, FF7, Fallout 4 2015 release,..) and kept me happy throughout the presentations.
Did expect to see a new 1TB ps4 model and get it since my launchmodel is close to dying, guess I’ll get a current model.

Where’s Journey PS4 ? Was hoping for a “available to download now” or at the very least a release date, but they didn’t even mention it.

I only care about sony so I didnt look at anything else. And I can say that I am MORE then happy. Be happy about all the games I am I LOVE games and hate people that never get satisfied!

The Sony press conference reeked of the Microsoft conferences from the 360/ps3 era. Filling the conference with news of timed exclusivity deals and meaningless additional content instead of new games. Horizon was the only exciting surprise. Pull your finger out Sony and don’t get complacent.

Sorry you felt that way. Most are calling it the conference of the decade.

No Yakuza, No Party :(….

Thank you very much for killing off the vita. Good thing I went with the shield. Just don’t bother bringing out another handheld. You’re completely clueless in that department.

A very good showing this year. Shenmue 3 made me very happy. A lot of great stuff coming over the year.

Can’t wait for fallout 4 speaking off witch when is fallout 4 available to pre-order on the playstation store

Rest in peace playstation vita, you were my loyal and wonderful friend while it lasted.

Brilliant E3.

I’m disappointed that you’ve basically just left Vita out in the cold but there’s no denying seeing TLG, FF VII Remake and Horizon has given me more than enough to look forward to.

One thing though – Gravity Rush 2. Will it ever happen? Ideally this should be on Vita but since it’s effectively dead now, will we see it on PS4? This needs to happen.

looks like Xbox won E3 with the backwards compatibility and Sony want us to pay for games we have already got. As for the last guardian they said this years ago for the Ps3 so i will believe it when i see it and as call of duty who cares its just full of spawn campers like the last kill zone. I have been with Sony since Ps1 looks like i backed the wrong horse. but it looks like they do have some good games coming

Lol

Sony nailed it, awesome show, best conference ever but where is Sony Bend, Santa Monica, Polophony and Quantic Dream ?

Please be reasonable and think for a moment, it is unrealistic to expect sony to provide Backward compatibility to there games, when first of all PS3 is Cell with its own way of being programmed to and PS4 has a x86 structure, compare that to the x86 structure that is on Xbox 360 and Xbox One and you will understand perfectly well why sony couldn’t really no matter how much they liked, provide Backward compatibility.

I let that sit for a moment. and no i do not believe Microsoft won this conference. E3 2015 was gamers dreams coming true. where microsoft had a new controller and backward compatibility… Its cool i think Microsoft had a good show indeed with some cool announces and the elite pro controller looks nice.. but i really do not care.

Because sony showed where the games were.

a new Monster hunter game – Horizon Dawn
a new experimental artistic visual game – The Last Guardian

a new technical and engineering piece of wonder – Uncharted 4 “worthy of the final chapter in the series”
A creative experimental and delicious piece of ambition from – Media Molecules.

I think we seen enough and there is plenty more later down the pipeline.

Oh the mighty whiners saying Xbox won with backwards compatibility. Get out of here. I play PS4 games on a PS4 on HD TV in HD surround. Move on with the current gen. You can reminisce on them good ole game of yore on your older console that you should have kept if you knew you were going to play them again. And get out of there with your MS and xbox, this isa Playstation forum. How stupid will I sound if I make the same statement that Sony won at an xbox forum. Yeah pretty stupid.

Wow, i just cannot get over all the amazing games…damn, thought my sarcasm was cured!!

Ok to be fair i would like to play The Last Guardian, Batman and Fallout 4 but i haven’t got a PS4 yet due to making a promise of not buying one until 10 decent games become available for it…guess i’ve got a long wait.

Hey that VR looks yawntastic, might get one if they make Wreck Diver, VR mask could come with game, snorkel, flippers and a VR bedsheet sensor so i could lay on my belly and flap my limbs in search of pointless collectables whilst ruining my eyesight!!

E3 had me buzzing so much i could not get off to sleep (grrr, sarcasm) until i started thinking of the Vita and then my mind went blank and i plunged into a deep sleep where i dreamt of all those poor Vitas all crying out as one for their creator. Oh how heartless thou art Sony.

Hi Shawn, just needed to log in and say big thank you to Sony and PlayStation. While many of the games in the presser were not the games I look forward to, the buzz and excitement radiating from the net clearly has you smashing E3 out of the park. Well done, good job. And again BIG THANK YOU for a fantastic E3 2015.

Stunning, i just can’t get over all the astonishing amusements… damn, thought my mockery was cured!!

Alright to be reasonable i might want to play The Last Guardian, Batman and Fallout 4 yet i haven’t got a PS4 yet because of making a guarantee of not purchasing one until 10 average amusements get to be accessible for it… figure i’ve got a long hold up.

Hey that VR looks yawntastic, may get one in the event that they make Wreck Diver, VR cover could accompany diversion, snorkel, flippers and a VR bedsheet sensor so i could lay on my tummy and fold my appendages looking for pointless collectables whilst demolishing my vision!!

E3 made them buzz so much i couldn’t get off to rest (grrr, mockery) until i began thinking about the Vita and after that my brain went clear and i dove into a profound rest where i longed for each one of those poor Vitas all shouting out at this very moment their maker. Goodness how merciless thou craftsmanship S
