Bombing Busters explodes onto PlayStation Store 2nd July

Grab some explosive old-school arcade action on PS4

Are you craving for some old-school bombing arena action? We crafted Bombing Busters especially for you!

A single-player campaign lets you explode oodles of critters in a series of 30 wicked mazes, and defeat hellish bosses in heroic fights.

A local multiplayer battle mode lets up to four players go head to head, while an online multiplayer mode will entertain up to eight players.

True to old school standards, the game difficulty ranges from hard to harder, hardest and then extreme as you progress in the campaign! But fear not: you can easily restart from the latest completed level, and skip bosses if they’re too tough for you to handle!

The game features five picturesque worlds, a bestiary of critters to blast, multiple environmental gimmicks to keep you challenged, and lots of items and power ups to collect.

Bombing Busters lands on PlayStation Store for PS4 2nd July, priced €6.99/£5.79.

lol, did Sony ask you to rename/censor the title? It was called Bombing Bastards on Wii U.

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 12:36

Yes, we changed the name on request from Sony.

If you make it more fast paced like Atomic Bomberman 95 and have perks like there, this is going to be awesome!

cognac-vsop 30 June, 2015 @ 12:16

Bootleg Bomberman..

Well, I couldnt agree more with the price tag and the game’s style, we truly need to recall bomberman and its glorious multiplayer…. I have 2 childrens, and it will be a great game for all the familiy…

A vita version will be wellcome though.

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 17:21

The Vita version is in the plans!

Best of luck, but as someone who was stung by the last Bomberman clone on PS4, Basement Crawl, I won’t be buying another one.

Oh heck yes! And price is so reasonable! Day one purchase!

Like the look (and well picked price point) of this. What changes have been made from the WiiU version aside from the inclusion of MP?

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 12:51

Thanks for asking! As you mention, the significant addition is the online multiplayer mode.
Other smaller changes/additions:
– The user interface has been adapted for game controllers.
– Trophies have been added.
– When you don’t get three stars, the summary screen tells you what you must achieve to get the next star.

Looks good , fair price. Will look forward to a vita version !!!!!!
Lets hope its better than the overpriced garbage that was basement crawl and what ever the Ps4 remake cash grab was called.

oh Basement Crawl…. Worst game ever. Wouldn’t touch their new game with a 20 foot barge pole!

madmanwithabox12 30 June, 2015 @ 13:34

Isn’t this coming to Vita too? I swear I remember seeing it was. I guess that’s coming later?

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 13:45

It is indeed. Later :).

supersmith2500 30 June, 2015 @ 14:18

And will it be cross-buy? : )

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 14:57

Yes, it is our intention to make it cross-buy.

supersmith2500 30 June, 2015 @ 14:18

So possible PSPlus title since the game is out next week? I’m guessing yes.

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 15:18

No unfortunately.

Pneuma: Breath of Life is out on 7th i think it’s a definite ps plus game :)

The games out this week, and the PS+ games go live on the 7th July. So I’m guessing No.

HomessaHomem 30 June, 2015 @ 15:02

This will be great in PS Vita!

Been there, done that…. in 1983. And a stream of clones after that in the nineties.
Not sure why an idie studio that could have make whatever game they wanted come up with a copy of a tired old game where already a 1000+ clones are made off.

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 16:44

We made a game we enjoy playing, and fine-tuned it the way we think it works best. There’s gotta be something for everybody!

Well considering Konami owns Hudson that means the chance of seeing a new official Bomberman game is essentially zero. I’m glad that there are developers who want to keep this kind of game alive on new consoles.

damn – it if was the original Bomberman I would have bought it but not this botchit and scarper version!
nasty and have been absolutely clucking for true bomberman to come out since ps4 launch..
ive had bomberman on amiga, snes ps1, ps2, ps3

And refuse to buy this tripe……

Yan Marchal 30 June, 2015 @ 16:46

Thanks for mentioning Botchit & Scarper – I just googled them and a new world of music just opened before me!

@ Yan Marchal thanks for that now I also found some new music !

Wanted such a game for my PS4 for a while now, but Basement Crawl puts me off the way it looks. This looks way better and I’m going to get this for sure! This is going to be some fun family action on the couch in the coming days :)

Ahh so great to see that you have already answered the questions I wanted to ask as well :)
Good from the community and good from you Mr. Marchal :)

Will definitely pick this up come release :) Love a good party game ^^

So whatever happened to our pal Bomberman.

*not trying to hate on this game , just missing the Original bomber.

Konami happened.

Inherentdragon 01 July, 2015 @ 12:56

Nothing wrong with another Bomber man looks good,May get at some point.but how can it get away with being called Bombing Bastards on a Nintendo device and not Sony?Nintendo is kiddie friendly lol

So what happened ?… no sign of this on the store. Delayed?

Read Title !

Yan Marchal 02 July, 2015 @ 02:43

It shall come today!

If it definitely going to be crossbuy when it comes for vita i will pick it up today.
Also is there any dlc coming out for it in future?

Yan Marchal 02 July, 2015 @ 18:45

Cross-buy: yes, it is our intention.
DLC: no plan at this point, as the game is self-sufficient.

ShadowFlightBA 02 July, 2015 @ 23:29

Bought it and as expected, awesome game! Lot’s of fun, great gameplay, nice challenge.

This game is pretty cool :) But can you do something to disable the “beep” when you move ? the SFX is ok except these “beeps”
Can we have a “jukebox” to play mp3 instead of the “original” musics ?

Yan Marchal 03 July, 2015 @ 09:26

Thanks for asking!

We just tested the game without music, and indeed, it appears that some beeps are played when you move left or right (not up or down). They can barely be heard when you play the game with the music, but they are very clear if you turn off the music (which our tester never did ;) ). This is a glitch, and we will fix it with a patch as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.

As regards playing MP3: if you have a recent system version, you can have MP3 music stored in a USB dongle, played while you play any game.

Thank you :)

Nice! I can’t wait to play this on my Vita! Please don’t forget ad-hoc MP ;)
