4 weeks of savings on digital games start today on PlayStation Store

Grim Fandango and Child of Light lead out the first batch

Starting today we’ll have four weeks of rotating discounts on great digital games, across PS4, PS3 and PS Vita. This week kicks off with remastered cult classic Grim Fandango, and Ubisoft’s artful RPG, Child of Light along others. I should also add that everything has a PS Plus discount attached, stretching your coin even further.

You’ll only have one week to grab these discounts before we swap in a fresh load, so delaying is not in your best interest.

Meanwhile, Watch_Dogs is our deal of the week, and we’ve also got a movie deal for PS Plus members (selected territories) to enjoy. All the details are below

Hmmm….

zalwelgoedgaan 1 July, 2015 @ 12:06 pm   2

“Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China
25.0428816466552% off”

XD. Anyway, I have everything I want in this line-up. I’ll wait for the other weeks.

X_Blood_Curse_X 1 July, 2015 @ 12:06 pm   3

Hmmm nothing for me this time, not too bothered though as the amount of great stuff I bought in the Big in Japan sale will last me until the end of the year lol

Btw everybody buy Dracula X Chronicles, it’s awesome

    zalwelgoedgaan 1 July, 2015 @ 12:08 pm

It has the original Symphony of the Night as an unlockable, right?

    Lance_87 1 July, 2015 @ 12:23 pm

Yes it also has Rondo of Blood! A must have for fans. The first PSP game i’ve ever played.

    NorthernFusion 1 July, 2015 @ 12:40 pm

will last me until the end of time*

    Fixed that for you.

Seriously though, they could have terrible sales from now on, I will reflect back on this Big In Japan sale fondly everytime they do. Spent enough to put a deposit down on a house, it was Christmas in June.

    NorthernFusion 1 July, 2015 @ 12:42 pm

Didn’t know Dracula X Chronicles had unlockables either, I already have SotN, but curious to check out Rondo of Blood.

LOL. The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China discount = 25.0428816466552% off. It all adds up i suppose 😉

Hrimgrimnir 1 July, 2015 @ 12:11 pm   5

Luckily this is not the summer sale….

    Lance_87 1 July, 2015 @ 12:24 pm

Yeah thank goodness Jawad (or Fred?) confirmed that. There’s nothing interesting for me, and i still have to buy stuff from Big in Japan…

    WookiTalki 1 July, 2015 @ 1:53 pm

Lance_87, where did they confirm that?

    Basket21 1 July, 2015 @ 2:03 pm

    Store update post #14

Q : So these upcoming 4 weeks of sales are this year’s version of a Summer sale?
    A : Jawad Ashraf 30 June, 2015 @ 2:37 pm
    Short answer; no.

Not great. Mostly ex-ps plus titles or other titles that have been on sale before (and often cheaper- child of light was £3.75 last time)

BluSpykz 1 July, 2015 @ 12:13 pm   7

Monopoly Plus
40.045766590389% off

Lol. Some one is really taking their job seriously!

Have everything I want from this line up unfort. (or fortunate for my wallet).

Urban Freestyle says 60% off but it’s really only 59.963603275705186533212010919017% off. Can you please correct to match the level of precision given for other percentages?

Not sure if you can speak to games that may be on sale in the future Jawad/Chris/Fred but is it likely Life Is Strange’s Season Pass might go on sale in the near future?

    Inherentdragon 1 July, 2015 @ 12:49 pm

Good question,I’m really looking forward to this but holding off in the hope of a sale.just bought Resident Evil Revelations 2 season pass after giving up on waiting and they now have it on sale!..typical.

    TrueMurton 6 July, 2015 @ 6:58 pm

Typically episodic games go on sale shortly after the half way point, shouldn’t be long now.

sadambober 1 July, 2015 @ 12:18 pm   10

I’m broke af after the Japanese sale, so I’ll pass on this one

Tagged_Deaf 1 July, 2015 @ 12:21 pm   11

Grim Fandango Remastered and Jamestown+ for me.

tenshi_alpha 1 July, 2015 @ 12:21 pm   12

Not as good as the “Big In Japan” sale by a long way! This looks appears to be mostly shallow discounts of old things that were discounted before!

Love the very accurate percentage discounts though. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    NorthernFusion 1 July, 2015 @ 12:41 pm

Hard to top a sale like that, in all honesty, even if they were all £1, it would still be a worse sale due to the games.

Go2Hell66 1 July, 2015 @ 12:22 pm   13

meh needs more anime…

counterUAVbaby 1 July, 2015 @ 12:22 pm   14

Nothing really interesting to me, thankfully! 🙂

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 12:23 pm   15

Does Watch Dogs Deluxe edition includes the season pass?

BisonFriend 1 July, 2015 @ 12:26 pm   16

What game is pictured in the header image??

jamie-sixtyfour 1 July, 2015 @ 12:28 pm   17

Some nice offers on stuff I already own but I think I’ll pass on this for now. Wallet has been hurting from all the great releases recently; TowerFall: Ascension Dark World, Magicka 2, etc.

CarotideEtude 1 July, 2015 @ 12:30 pm   18

Kinda meh.

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 12:31 pm   19

And this is all for ps3? Just watch dogs? What the hell sale is this Sony?

    KaneTheGoth 1 July, 2015 @ 12:49 pm

@davidtraistaru19 a hint, scroll down to the section that is titled “PS3”.

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 12:47 pm   20

Yes i think better than you

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 12:50 pm   21

Yes i can , what about you Joffi?

Inherentdragon 1 July, 2015 @ 12:52 pm   22

Grim Fandango for me!Been looking forward to this. Also has anyone played Hand of Fate?Any good?it’s caught my interest.

    RedMustang72 1 July, 2015 @ 2:53 pm

GF is well worth it, Hand of Fate I bought in a previous sale, haven’t got around to playing it yet (serious backlog) but from what I hear is very good, unforgiving yet addictive…

    TrueMurton 1 July, 2015 @ 4:12 pm

Hand of Fate is a fantastic concept. It’s a deck builder, action RPG, roguelike and choose your own adventure book all rolled into one glorious “I’ll just give it one more trt” package.

It can at times be quite unforgiving, but your failures never feel cheap. Sure, your first encounter could be a monster you simply can’t kill, so you start a new run and your first encounter may just be an epic weapon drop, I love that game because it is always, always different.

If you do get it, be sure *never” to use the recommended deck, always customise, you’re basically designing your own loot tables for every run, whether or not you get the items you want is down to luck, but *you* get to pick the odds and that is a great idea.

    Inherentdragon 1 July, 2015 @ 5:16 pm

Cheers for all your comments, you have convinced me and gone ahead and bought them both 🙂 when I’ll get to play them is another matter..( when they both appear on ps plus igc probably!)

    TrueMurton 1 July, 2015 @ 8:20 pm

Once you start hand of fate you’ll make the time to play it again, the unlocking of new card has that loot compulsion thing that makes youbplay again.

Also a successful round, as in dealing the cards to reaching and defeating a boss in story mode is like half an hour, its my go to game if I’ve got plans but need to kill a little bit of time before hand.

It also saves on every turn so if you need to shutdown during a game you pick up exactly where you left it.

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 12:53 pm   23

Im not interested in paying for crappy indie games if i wanted that i would play some
terrible flash games on net for free

    PS_TrophyHunter 1 July, 2015 @ 2:22 pm

Your reasoning being that all indie games are the same as flash games. Last time I checked a lot of these indie games aren’t available to play on the net and most of them are amazing 🙂

jamesbuc 1 July, 2015 @ 1:03 pm   24

So nothing really around for Ps+ 5th Anniversary that I can actually get with. Boo. (Nothing for Ps3/PsVita users or any users who haven’t been around since the beginning).

Harrisown 1 July, 2015 @ 1:11 pm   25

I. Still playing Batman.
4 years of work demolished in 8 days. It’s sad.

Danterikxx 1 July, 2015 @ 1:13 pm   26

Hi Fred

ambuckle 1 July, 2015 @ 1:27 pm   27

WookiTalki 1 July, 2015 @ 1:39 pm   30

Nope.

“IndieStation 4. Remasters awaits”

GUDGER666 1 July, 2015 @ 1:59 pm   31

Worst and most pointless sale I have seen. 5 year PS plus and you offer this garbage….. Wow.

davidtraistaru19 1 July, 2015 @ 2:01 pm   32

4 weeks of indie sales guys! Arent you excited about it?
I mean thats the reason we all bought or next gen consoles so we can play indies and retro games on it

EmperorLawlight 1 July, 2015 @ 2:08 pm   33

I’ll just wait for them to hit PLUS, if they haven’t already..

SwissColony 2 July, 2015 @ 9:15 am   37

Another World for under £2!! Done!

banstalker 2 July, 2015 @ 6:21 pm   38

Looks like it was the last useless ps plus subscription i bought.

Scisca 7 July, 2015 @ 7:42 pm   39

Wonder if you plan to get the store up before the sale ends, so that I can actually buy some of these games. You need to extend your sales in time when PSN dies and people can’t take advantage of them!
