The Talos Principle hits PS4 this October; retail release also incoming

Ingenious puzzler includes the Road to Gehenna expansion

Devolver Digital and our friends at Croteam are excited to announce that the award-winning philosophical first-person puzzler The Talos Principle will arrive on PlayStation 4 on 13th October with the debut of The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition!

This definitive version of the critically acclaimed game contains the original puzzle adventure in all of its glory and the ambitious expansion The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna.

Alongside the digital version, introspective PlayStation fans will also get a special boxed release of The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition courtesy of our friends Bandai Namco Entertainment in Europe and Australia and Nighthawk Interactive in North and South America.

The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna will take experienced players through some of the most advanced and challenging puzzles yet. Players will return to a strange, hidden part of the simulation as Uriel, Elohim’s messenger, and attempt to free the souls trapped in this mysterious place. The ambitious expansion includes over 20 new complex puzzles, with hours and hour of thought-provoking gameplay sure to challenge even the most experienced The Talos Principle veteran.

We can’t wait to share Croteam’s masterpiece with you all on PlayStation 4 later this year, please follow them @Croteam and @TalosPrinciple for news on the game and @DevolverDigital for general silliness.

This is great, can’t wait to figure out Road to Gehenna.

This is right up my street will pre-order the physical edition this weekend :)

Fantastic. It’s great how Sony is bringing all the cool PC stuff on their platform.

While the announcement of a retail version makes it improbable, I really do hope this game becomes part of the October PS+ Instant Game Collection line-up.

If you read the post properly the release date alone makes it 100% certain it will not be in ps plus…. I don’t want it in ps plus i’d rather support the devs that made this awesome game.

OK, November line-up, then. I can still hope.

Yet another FPV game. Are developers just getting lazier these days? Or do they not want more sales? Jesus, even if it was a stick figure, I would not care, just give those of us with motion sickness something to move about as a character!

You can choose a 3rd person view in the options.

I’ve been waiting for this! So pleased to hear it will have a retail release, too.

Q3 and Q4 are going to be expensive for me this year! Mostly indie games as well, which is nice.
