High-speed rhythm action game Superbeat: Xonic announced for PS Vita

A new music title from the South Korean developer behind cult hit Beatcraft

Hello PS Blog readers! It’s Tyrone Walcott from Rising Star Games here. I feel extremely privileged to finally announce that Superbeat: Xonic will be coming to Europe this autumn, exclusively for PlayStation Vita.

So what is a Superbeat: Xonic? Good Question! Quite simply, Superbeat: Xonic is a revolutionary new rhythm action gaming brought to you by the creators of DJ Max and Beatcraft. If you’ve never played either of those titles, what sets this and its predecessors apart from other rhythm games is their frantic, high-speed and intuitive gameplay. So if you’ve been looking for a groove-tastic challenge for your PS Vita then your prayers have been answered!

The most important part of any music game is the music (obviously!) and luckily Superbeat is a game made for music fans, by music fans. Featuring over 50 different tracks from a variety of different genres, Superbeat: Xonic lets you tap along to everything from soulful house, to R’n’B, indie pop, to progressive metal, big beat and many more – including a whole host of original music from super producers like 3rd Coast, ND Lee, Tsukasa and others.

Jump into the laid-back beats of 4 TRAX mode, then ramp up the challenge and try to keep up with the frantic rhythm of 6 TRAX and 6 TRAX FX before experiencing endless gameplay with Freestyle mode.

We all know the best part of being a DJ Superstar is showing off – so we’ve included local and worldwide leaderboards to let you pit your talents against your mates and other beatmasters around the globe.

It’s time to test your dexterity, challenge your rivals and prove that you have what it takes to be the best!

Superbeat: Xonic will be coming to PS Vita very soon. Follow us on Twitter @RisingStarGames and keep your eyes peeled on www.risingstargames.com for more news and a confirmed release date.

Uhh, you might want to correct “Japanese developer” to “South Korean developer”.

Looking forward to this though.

I’m pretty sure the developer knows his own studio.

Rising Star Games is a video game publisher formed in 2004 as a joint business venture between Scandinavian distributor Bergsala and Japanese video game publisher and content developer Intergrow. The company is based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England while in North America is based on California, USA.

Again, we do what we can to bring games that people want!

The Vita is begging for a rhythm-action game of high calibre like SUPERBEAT: XONiC

This is a nice surprise! Will definitely buy; I’m sure this game will keep me busy between finishing IA/VT Colorful and starting Persona 4: Dancing All Night. :)
