Rugby League Live 3 hits the streets today on PS4 and you’re probably asking yourself, what do I need to know and how can I most quickly get up to speed? Well, the answers are right here!

Here’s a rundown of some of the biggest and best new features in Rugby League Live 3.

The FanHub

The Rugby League Live 3 FanHub brings in an all-new suite of creation possibilities. In the FanHub, you’re able to create players, clubs, referees and leagues as well as browse over 20,000 community creations that have already been shared online.

The player creation suite offers the ability to alter a player’s appearance, height and weight. Add tattoos, strapping and create your own style of boots. Even change your player’s headgear to make yourself look more like JT!

The club creation suite offers the ability to alter clubs playing rosters, identity and home grounds. You can even customise your clubs jerseys.

Drills

Before jumping into a match, you may want to learn the skills that you’ll be putting forth once you’re out on the field. That’s where the drills come in.

Compete against your friends or against the world with Goal Kicking, Passing, Tackling and Play Maker Drills. All with full leaderboards support. These drills will teach you the basics of each major mechanic and hopefully have you kicking goals and scoring tries with ease.

Career Mode

Rugby League Live 3’s career mode offerings come in three different servings. Star Player, Rookie Player or Coach.

Coach mode allows you to take control of any team to hopefully take them to the glory of a Premiership, control funds, player movement and if you get tired of controlling that team swap over at the end of the year.

Throughout your career you’ll be able to complete challenges that are match to match or across your career. Getting a certain amount of tries or tackles, or gaining a number of metres in a match. All will go towards your earnings and help your player or team improve as you go.

Rookie player allows you to take your own created player from the lower grades right up to the big time. You’ll have to focus on being a team player in this mode, with being able to call for the ball, but make sure you don’t call for it in a bad spot or you’ll cost your team a try!

Star player lets you take control of an already playing star and create history with him. Whether you’re Cameron Smith, Greg Inglis or Jonathan Thurston, you’ll be able to take charge, score tries, make try saving tackles or kick goals just like you see the stars do every week!
