New Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection trailer debuts, Uncharted 4 beta dated

Just a few weeks to go until Naughty Dog’s hero is back in action

Earlier this week we gave everyone a first look at a section of the remastered Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune on our Twitch stream. We played it live from our pre-release copy of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. But no, we’re not going to stop there. Just about every week up until release in early October, we will pull back the curtain bit by bit on all the new features and upgraded visuals to be found across the three games in the Collection.

Ready for another look? Keeping with the action-packed theme from the Twitch stream, this trailer showcases many of the awesome Uncharted moments; all of which can be experienced in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

If you missed the end (and you should have watched the whole trailer!), mark your calendars for 4th December through 13th December. Those are the dates the exclusive Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta will be available to everyone with a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and a PlayStation Plus membership. So be sure you pick up a copy to be able to see what’s in store for Uncharted’s newest multiplayer mode.

We know you are all looking forward to hearing more about what’s new in multiplayer, what’s new with gameplay, and what new modes and maps you can expect. We’re planning a grand reveal that will answer many of your questions about Uncharted 4 multiplayer before the beta goes live this December.

We have just a few weeks to go until our launch date on 7th October and 9th October. Don’t forget, we’ve got two more Uncharted Moments Twitch streams left to go on 29th September and 6th October. Be sure to vote for your favourite Uncharted moment if you want to see it on the stream! Then you can get your hands on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection early when the much anticipated single-player demo drops on PlayStation Store 29th September.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone post their own #UnchartedMoments directly via the Share button from Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection when it releases.

For fallout 4 and Uncharted 4, I might get a Ps4. Really thinking about it. I already have platinumed every single game, so what’s the point of getting the collection.

Btw, while it’s not the right place to ask, I really wonder what happened to what they call it ”vote to play” or something. Or have we gone back to the old days.

Vote to play is only going to be an occasional thing. I’d say they’ll do it ever quarter.

Vote to Play isn’t a regular thing. It will be used at intervals throughout the year.

cheers! I was under the impression it had become a regular thing.

Damn I was hoping the beta would run at some point over Christmas as it’s on my wish list this year. Ah well I’ll still enjoy the single player campaigns and can enjoy UC4’s multiplayer once it’s out.

70€ for just one week of Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta …

You could get 1 month PS+ if you want to play the beta

Most people already have PlayStation plus and most people that buy the game will buy it to play the remastered uncharted games… Not just to play the beta it is just an added incentive.

Gah, I’m in a play that week! Oh well, I still can’t wait to sample my first taste of multiplayer Uncharted on my PS4! I so badly miss playing Uncharted 3 MP on my PS3 (which I still have but man my Dual Shock 3 feels cruddy now I’m used to the Dual Shock 4).
Can’t wait to play through the collection too all upgraded. :)

your making excuses like a fanboy. i don’t care about splitting the userbase as i just want Uncharted 2’s multiplayer and co-op. i have no interest in Uncharted 4 as 3 was awful game. like i said stop being a fanboy. what i am going to do is buy Uncharted collection second hand and when Uncharted 4 releases i will watch it on YouTube for free. i will never give Naughty Dog money ever again.

You might be sending your anger in the wrong direction.

The 3rd uncharted is the best as far as I’m concerned followed by the first. However they are all brilliant games.

Remember when PS+ gave you betas? Now they force you to buy a remaster of a game to get access to a beta that should be public. Oh well…

(To be fair, PS+ almost never gave any beta access like they advertised)

Replay uncharted 1 , 2 and 3 in full 1080p and 60fps, it is for me a sufficient reason to get the collection, plus for those who hadn’t have the chance to plays those games it with it. Nice Job BluePoint, it seems you’ve make a beautiful job at remastered the collection.

without multiplayer this game will flop. obviously the fanboys will buy it but no one else so i seriously recommend you to add back the multiplayer for the Uncharted collection. TLOU remastered had multiplayer so no excuse not to have multiplayer. why are we paying for ps plus if Sony is removing multiplayer from one of its biggest franchises? i will not buy this and just to spite you i will buy this second hand so you get no money from me.

You still don’t get it? Seriously, people have explained it time and time again. There is no point in having multiplayer on this collection when all the focus in that area will be on Uncharted 4’s multiplayer. The Last of Us Remastered has it because there is no new The Last of Us multiplayer coming out anytime soon so that is the only way to play TLoU in multiplayer on PS4. Having Uncharted 2 and 3’s multiplayer when Uncharted 4 is coming out would fragment the Uncharted multiplaying PS4 community. All patches, new levels, items would be just for Uncharted 4 anyways.

How many times do people have to explain it before you wise up?

I seriously doubt this game will flop or that you choosing to buy this second hand worries Sony, Naughty Dog or Bluepoint in any way. If they had included multiplayer they would have risked splitting their audience since people would still play the collection once UC4 is out. They may as well dedicate all of their efforts to perfecting UC4’s multiplayer so the fans are all playing in one place. TLOU doesn’t have an imminent sequel so not a fair comparison.

I never owned a PS3 and a lot of my buddies that moved over from Xbox 360 didn’t either – we are all buying it. My most aniticpated game of the year.

Will beta access be in form of code that will be inside of game box, or do I need to have a disc of Uncharted Remaster to access it?

Why don’t I get access to the beta by pre-ordering uc4?

Also where is the promised theme on pre-ordering through psn?

They removed the MP in UC2 and UC3 and I was ok with it, also the 3D on the UC3 was removed and – again – it’s ok although I loved it but I understand the decision.

Now the implementation of speed runs and ANOTHER difficulty level now that’s putting me off. I’ve played the 3 games more than twice each, got platinum in all 3 and I predict there will be trophies for the new garbage modes so for that reason I’m out.

Can’t wait to try it, and please in the main game mp can we have a donut versions of chole and elena it make a refreshing change of just donut versions of the male characters.

It looks amazing. My comments on the last video were wrong.

I will eventually get this, but for the time being I’ll just wait until a special and play the originals if I feel the need. Learnt my lesson with the TLOU remaster and GTAV, ultimately they’re just a big waste of money if you already own them or are truly passionate to spend the extra money for higher frames. Great for first time buyers though.
