Supergirl is coming to LEGO Dimensions on PS4

Available exclusively with PS4 Starter Packs this September

Greetings, earthlings… or some other greeting that has an out-of-this-world feel! Arthur Parsons here to deliver a message of importance — direct from Krypton!

It is with superhuman excitement that the team here at TT Games announces the arrival of Supergirl in LEGO Dimensions. Superman’s cousin is arriving as an exclusive available with LEGO Dimensions PS4 Starter Packs starting this September.

Not only will that mean you can get a collectable Supergirl LEGO minifigure, you’ll also be able to play as Kara Zor-El, with all of the incredible powers that you would associate with her — like flight, superhuman strength, x-ray powers, and beam attacks. But that’s not all. What we’re most excited about is her ability to use her Red Lantern ring and transform. While in her Red Lantern form, she can fire red energy bolts and beams from her ring, and use Lantern Constructs — an ability unique to her.

The arrival of Supergirl, in addition to being able to choose from 16 amazing new brands that are coming to LEGO Dimensions, should hopefully have you all as excited to play the game as the team here at TT Games is making it. So many amazing entertainment franchises are coming, including Adventure Time, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, The Goonies, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Gremlins, The A-Team, Sonic the Hedgehog, and much, much more.

All of this is in addition to the Starter Pack and first year content. All of the various brands and toys are completely compatible with each other — you just need the one Starter Pack to be able to begin your incredible adventure.

Supergirl is legit my fave. When done right, she’s a fantastic character and brings a lot of nuance that I feel her cousin lacks (having a life to miss back on Krypton, struggling to fit in and stand up to the ideals of Superman, anger issues etc.).

Great mini-fig, awesome that she can go Red Lantern too. Any chance of seeing some of her other more unique powers like flaming wings or the solar flare?

What?!? So, basically, people who have bought it previously are being punished, because we can only get the figure by buying the starter pack AGAIN!!! Oh, goody, you can play it for 30s with the Hire-A-Hero feature which is actually horrible.

Why isnt the Game Out in Portugal?? Any reason at all?

So as a Day 1 buyer, this news is completely inconsequential. Pretty appaling to try and make customers buy the Starter Pack again. In which reality was it thought that this would be received well – at least, by existing customers. Hire a hero? I don’t think so.

They need a way to shift all those unsold start packs, this is it.

Im actually really annoyed at this news. Ive been a fan of Lego Dimensions from day 1 and have purchased most of if for myself and my family to play. How you take one of our current fave characters (thanks to the TV show) and lock it behind another starter pack. Well im seriously going to now consider my future purchases if this is how you treat your loyal customers that have got you to this stage in the first place. Please don’t talk about the hire a hero feature, it is atrocious and is not in any way compensation to exsisting users.

That’s a BIG slap in the face to all players, that have already bought the starter pack and are the sole reason for the game’s success.

I have bought every pack available so far, bought Green Arrow for the price of a level pack and now you want me to buy the starter pack again?

Hire-a-hero isn’t the same as owning the figure. Poor decision Warner bros. I guess I have no choice but to give in but I, sure as to hell, am not going to be happy about it.

I’m honestly not trolling you here. You do have a choice.

If everyone who’s unhappy about this stops giving money to Dimensions they learn a lesson in the only way that they care about.

I expected that comment JimDig :P As a serious collector thought I don’t feel I do have a choice. I have to have the figure. Lego won’t lose sleep over Dimensions not selling tbh, so it’s kind of win-win for them.

Fair enough :-). I’m fighting a bigger scurge myself, any non-free game with microtransactions is now disregarded. Where I absolutely cannot resist the game I buy it used. :-)

I understand that. I haven’t bought an Activision game full price since 2007. They made the season pass a thing, hiked last gen games up to £55 and constantly re-use the same assets in almost every game.

The unavailability of Green Arrow and now this BS with Supergirl is very upsetting. I don’t want to rent any characters. I’m a collector and want the minifig, this is disappointing. Poor form.

Really? “You have the game already tso screw you, we already have your money anyway”?! I understand having it exclusive for just one system, but lock it behind the full game? The game most people who are interested in this already own in the first place? Are you guys drunk or something? Who’s bright ideia was this? Oh I get it, the same person that decided only a couple of countries in the world are worth it to be able to buy the game? Seriously? Just sell the figure stand alone and release the damn game everywhere, lots of costumers are still waiting for the game’s official release on their countries, you’re already screwing people for the second year and most of us are still waiting for the damn starter pack + 1st wave releases.

Ok, guys, I watched the trailer again and the figure appears to be exclusive until 28th March 2017. Most likely it will be available as a separate purchase after that. I have no problem waiting for it :)

If we will be able to get the minifigure by itself at a later date, then I’m fine with that, too – perfectly happy to wait, as long as I can get it eventually.

I’m glad to see Dimensions is still alive with new franchises coming up. But I can only repeat all of the above. It is utterly ridiculous that new characters are added that are exclusive to the new Starter Pack. This doesn’t make any sense at all. Saying that we can get a taste with ‘Hire-a-Hero’ is actually plain insulting.
