It’s PlayStation VR Worlds week!

London Studio’s flagship VR title kicks off a series of software takeovers

Quick heads-up everyone. In the run-up to PlayStation VR’s 13th October launch, we’ll be shining the spotlight on one VR game every week. What does this mean exactly? Well, we’ll be running loads of guest blog posts from the development teams, showing off new game footage, revealing new features, debuting unseen artwork, and more, across PlayStation Blog, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.

To make it easy to keep track of everything, we’ll be collating it all in one place via Storify.

We’re kicking things off this week with PlayStation VR Worlds, from the talented team at SIE London Studio. Look out for the first few nuggets a little later today, but in the meantime, refresh your memory with the most recent trailer.

Looking forward to it. I’ll no doubt buy a whole bunch of launch stuff. This isn’t just a new platform it’s a new way of gaming and I’m excited. I understand it won’t be the be all and end all of gaming or even become the number one way we play but I’m hoping it’ll be a valid option rather than a flash in the pan.

Offtopic.. Tomorrow august 23th release of INSIDE by Playdead Studio on PS4!! :D

Wooot!! Wooot!!

At e3 and other shows u showed a VR demo from The walk (walking between the 2 skyscrapers)

Will stuff like that also come to PSN for us to download and try ??

Count me out of the VR hype train.

Where and when in Poland can we check the PS VR thing out?

Looks quite good except for the bike chase scene which almost looked like it was PS2 gameplay lol, still dont think it justifies the price tag tho!

Not sure if you can comment or direct me to where I can get information, however why are there no PSVR bundles annouced in Australia? Other territories have bundles. You can only get the PS camera separately and move controllers separately however they are nowhere to be found. Seems very strange. I dont want to have to run around to get the complete package I just want to throw cash at one place and come home with everything I need.

Completely agree – it was v. strange that we weren’t offered the bundle. Can’t find a price on the PS move controllers anywhere by any retailer (I’ve heard rumours it might be AUD$100 for a pair?). Completely non-enthused for VR worlds or any game where you have to use the Move controllers (but still v. enthused for my VR pre-order). I’ll just stick with DS4 enabled VR games for now.

Hi Fred,

I know this is off-topic, but i’m hoping you can step in and help with what’s (not) happening with Rock Band content in SCEE regions.

Francesca is refusing to help or comment (much like Jawad ignored the Rocksmith debacle when PS3 songs were promised to be available for free on the PS4).

Could you please investigate the issue and give the community some answers as to what is holding up the transition of our Rock Band content for use on the PS4?

SCEA PS4 players have almost all of their content available. Likewise, XBOX users worldwide have almost all of their content available, but we here in SCEE regions are lagging way behind.

10 months ago, we were promised that all content we owned in previous Rock Band titles on the PS3 would be available on the PS4 for use with Rock Band 4.

All we’ve received is the Rock Band 3 Export, and an incomplete Rock Band 1 Export.

Whereas, SCEA and XBOX has almost all of the Exports and just have a few minor entitlement issues remaining.

We’ve contacted the developer (Harmonix). They are apparently waiting on an updated “tool” from SCEE to continue the process and verify our entitlements. It’s not the developer holding up progress, it is SCEE.

You stepped in and answered us when we had problems with the Rocksmith content, and soon after, we had progress happening. I’m hoping you can help us again with our Rock Band content.

A reply would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Remember when London studio developed decent titles like Porsche challenge, Dropship, The getaway? Hell, even some of the this is football games were alright. Now all they seem to be allowed to do is stuff like this, little time waste, play once, tech demos that have no depth. See also wonderbook, eyepet, the playroom, singstar. This studio should have been closed long before studio Liverpool, evolution or zipper.
