13 expert tips for success in God Eater 2 Rage Burst, out this week

Bandai Namco’s action RPG series returns to action on PS4 and PS Vita

Hello again fellow God Eaters! With the release of God Eater 2 Rage Burst upon us this week, here are some tasty tactics to get you started:

  1. Focus on completing Story Missions until Blood Arts are unlocked. Once Blood Arts are available, level up each type until you find two or three that you like. It is recommended to acquire at least one ground and one aerial Blood Art.
  2. God Eater 2 Rage Burst

  3. Actively switch between melee & gun God Arc forms to maximize damage.
  4. Every Aragami can be defeated with any God Arc type. The best GOD EATERS will change their loadout in order to maximize efficiency. For example, the Aragami, “Chi-You” is fairly well armoured over most of its body. This armour can be broken off by repeatedly attacking its legs or wings. Crushing attack from a Buster Blade or Boost Hammer can speed up this process. Don’t have a Buster Blade or Boost Hammer? Equip a gun God Arc with high Crush damage and use Blaze or Freezing bullets to pepper the Chi-You with attacks until it succumbs to the pressure.
  5. God Eater 2 Rage Burst

  6. The defence attribute on a shield determines how much damage Aragami attacks deal. Deploying the shield to block an attack can mitigate damage even further. There are three types of shields.
  7. Bucklers have low defence but generally have support skills that help with offense. These deploy faster than the other two types but do not absorb as much damage while blocking.
  8. God Eater 2 Rage Burst

  9. Shields are the middle ground between Bucklers and Tower Shields. Pick this type if you want a balance between offense and defence.
  10. Tower Shields have the highest defence of the group and generally provide defence/support skills. These deploy slowly but can block most, if not all, of the damage while blocking.
  11. Buster Blades allow GOD EATERS to instantly deploy their shields by blocking mid-swing. This is called Advanced Guard and it can be paired with Tower Shields to negate its slow deployment times.
  12. Dodge Aragami attacks by either sprinting or dashing out of harm’s way. Blocking with a shield should only be used for attacks that cannot be avoided since blocking can drain both health and stamina.
  13. Always keep a good stock of healing items on hand.
  14. Clothing serves no defensive purpose. Look good, feel good!
  15. Use the Bullet Editor to create your own bullets. With some tinkering around you can create lasers that rain from the skies or bullets that explode for tremendous amounts of damage upon hitting an Aragami.
  16. Devour your enemies as much as possible to keep your Burst Gauge up. While in Burst you gain increased movement speed, lower stamina consumption, shorter charge times for special attacks, and Oracle Point regeneration.

Pre-ordered and awaiting. Cannot wait to play this.

Pre-ordered Vita version long time ago.

Question: is it possible to import save from PSP version of game to new Vita version of game bundled with God Eater 2?

That would be awesome. Have a 250h save backed up with literally, well nearly, everything :D

“God Eater 2 Rage Burst drops tomorrow in digital and physical formats on PS4 and digitally on PS Vita.”

Oh hello there copy & paste from US blog.

Funny thing is that even now it hasn’t been rectified. It’s like the person in question doesn’t even bother ( ̄ー ̄)

Vita version has a physical copy over here – which is why I pre-ordered rather than wait for a PSN sale.

There is a physical version being released in Europe tomorrow for Ps4 & PSVita in case any of you were confused by the last paragraph XD

Do I have to pre-order to get Resurrection with it? or will it be included forever?

As much as I love my animu combat-RPG-monsters, I’ll have to pass on this due to other animu in backlog.

My ps vita copy shipped some days ago but it will take some time to arrive. No worries thought with that backlog I have I won’t have any free time. Well it was a steal for 30 euros anyway.

Pre-ordered it a few days ago and should had arrived today. So all excited to play some more GE. But guess I have to wait another day ;-;

Love the fact I got a physical Vita copy and the EU got the resurrection code too! Big thanks for supporting Physical Vita releases. Guessing the US just don’t buy enough to get this deal… Shockingly lazy post though… Come on guys edit the details so they’re accurate.

A very nice game, to bad it came without the original voices and blood was censured god knows why. Usually I would boycott games that had content removed, but man this is such a nice game, will over look it this time.

Has a reminder, I would be glad to purchase the original voice acting for 5€ has a DLC np.
Also if you guys had money to invest in dubbing the game to english, I believe it would had been more wise to waste it on translating the game for other languages instead.

Just got my physical copy and it’s great

We close the comments for posts after 30 days.
